This is the area's greasy spoon restaurant. Service is the only good feature about this place (that gave it an extra star). I would not recommend this to anyone. Not very clean, everything is cheaply constructed, and food is very very greasy. When I walked by the kitchen on the way to the dirty rest rooms I saw the cook scoop up what appeared to be a cup of lard for the two eggs he was cooking. The Wife and teenage son and daughter were not impressed either. Too many better places just down the road in WC I would recommend.

I visit Mrs Mikes almost every Sunday. This place has home cooked, simple and delicious breakfast foods. The Messy Mike's is awesome. The waitresses are super friendly. I also like it because it is not "in town" so even though it gets super packed on weekends, you can usually get a seat within 10 minutes of waiting. Parking lot is also a bonus. Definitely a place in West Chester to try!

Cozy, small but great food and nice people, everyone should really check it out! another bonus for me is that its practically in my backyard! haha right around the corner, lucky me!

Great little diner. I was looking for a nice greesy diner and this place did not disappoint! Price was right too!

Mrs. Mike's ... what to say about Mrs. Mike's.... Well, it's an out of the bourgh "diner" in West Chester. They have classic diner/breakfast food, but it's more of a gressy spoon than a diner.... nothing fancy, not at all... Staff is friendly, esp. if your a regular, they spent allot of time with a few other tables. Last few times we went, it was a "mature" crowd. which is ok, it just was what it was. i gave it 3 instead of 2 stars due to the fact i ordered "greasy spoon" fair, i knew it was greasy spoon fair, and it was what it was.

Mrs. Mike's is walking distance from my house but I just can't eat there anymore. Because of its close proximity, I have eaten there a number of times. Each time thinking, "this is the last." Well, I mean it this time. Service is friendly and fast (hence the 2 stars). Food is just not enjoyable. Bacon comes out scorched, eggs are never done to my liking. The last time I ate there, I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese on a hoagie roll, thinking it was safe. Took 2 bites and thought that it tasted kind of odd. Took a gander at the bread to find they slathered it with margerine. Bacon, egg and cheese with margerine. YUCK. I guess Mrs. Mike's is allright if you're in a hurry and not too picky about your food. But the food is usually my main concern.

I heard alot of folks raving about Mrs Mikes, so we gave it a whirl. Definitely have friendly staff, but overall the food is so-so. Not bad, just 'meh'. Pretty much a place for the over 50 crowd. Going out for breakfast food anytime soon in the WC area, go to the Classic Diner.

Mrs. Mike's is probably one of that best breakfast places in the West Chester area. .My usual breakfast selection anywhere is 2 eggs scrambled with potatoes and a side of sausage. They serve great sausage here and the home fries are the best around. And I agree that the wait staff is really friendly. I have photo of the food that I'll be posting on my blog shortly (to get to my West Chester blog, google: That Blue Yak)

Peter Piper picked a peck of DELICIOUS! The service was great, food was just delicious. It's probably one of the most reasonably priced breakfasts in the area. I had the Corned Beef Hash breakfast. It came with two eggs, toast, and awesome homefries. Coffee was good too, the staff was around with a fresh cup every few minutes. ALSO, the one person I was with had the Banana Bread Frech Toast... just great! Would definately go again! Just one thing, it's a cash only place. Good news, $20 would be more than enough for two with tip.

Had breakfast here for the first time today I got the Messy Mike. Tasted great! The rye toast was perfect My wife had a waffle with strawberry topping. Was very good a well. The service was friendly and fast. Did not care for the taste of the water. Cash only but less than $16.00 for the two of us including tip. Will definitely be back.

Standard greasy spoon, and oh so good! Just moved to the Philly area from Atlanta, and I now know where to go when I am missing the Waffle House. Staff was extremely friendly, felt like I had been there many times instead of my first visit. My husband had the Messy Mike, and despite regretting to take his Lipitor last night, he was a fan. Basic fare, but good value for the money.

Awesome hangover or relaxed weekend spot. Nothing fancy or too special, but everything they have is solid.

I agree that the waitstaff is super-nice and that they make the effort to get to know the regulars (we recently went in 3 weeks apart and the waitress recognized us and said "welcome back!") The food is reasonably priced and carefully prepared (if basic) diner breakfast/lunch fare. Food is delivered quickly. Personally I'd rather the homefries were crispier but that's me. Senior citizens seem to love this place - last time we were in the median age was probably 60.

Since breakfast foods are on my "Things you can't live without" list...this place is heaven. They pretty much only have breakfast...so they're open early and close early. It's small and cozy, and the waitstaff is awesome. They're super sweet and make the effort to get to know the regulars. The food comes out quickly and is always top notch. It's inexpensive and worth the wait (if you get there on the later side). A favorite place to go with my mom.

This is a review from many many years ago when I worked for the ambulance in town when we would go here for our weekend morning breakfasts on a regular basis. It was typical greasy spoon fare but it was yummy and filling. I would put this on my list for good hangover food (listen up all you little freshman at WCU).

This place looks like it would be a great little breakfast place, but I left unimpressed. The atmosphere is a nice small town diner and the prices are cheap...but the food isn't anything special. For a better breakfast go in town.

Great place for breakfast. Try the Messy Mike, scrambled eggs, home fries, bacon and more covered in cheddar cheese. It's a heart attack, but so delicious! Small place, which fills up fast.

Absolutely love this place. Their food is amazing and so is the service. My boyfriend and I love going to get breakfast/brunch here. I've been to many dinners in the area since growing up here, but none have ever been as good as Mrs. Mike's.
