The American hot dog is not a frankfurter. The American hot dog of modern times is processed and fake.. Jimmy Johns is the real deal, sorry it IS encased in real intestines like sausages have been made for centuries.. this preservation of meat kept damn near all of your relatives alive at some point in your family tree. Sorry you are not accustomed to natural casing or can't see the charm in an Americana truck stop, it is not Chuck E Cheese, bring your kids BUT it was designed to be a truck stop... for truckers. You will not find many healthy options as it was designed to be a truck stop. You will not find trendy cuisine as it was designed to be a truck stop, and it hasn't changed because it really still is a truck stop. But we of the West Chester Community love it all the same and appreciate it for its genuine nature. On a closing note I don't think you are legally allowed to write a bad review about a place that is older than 90 percent of you, your grandfather would be pissed.

At least its not a chain... Divy but clean. Good for kids. They have train sets that you can make run for a quarter. They have burgers, hot dogs and such. None of its great. Five guys has better everything. Not pricy at all.

We love this place. It is great for kids, my five year old loves the trains and the food is simple yet good. I love the chili cheese fries and onion rings. It's a cash only place but they have a cheap ATM right there by the counter.

This place has become a Fathers Day tradition for my family. Great atmosphere, delicious hot dogs and my little girl loves the trains. i left feeling satisfied with two dogs, fries and a birch beer.

Nothing beats the snap of a natural casing hot dog! Jimmy Johns is an institution. Although the original building burned down a few years ago it has been on the same spot since the 40s. My go to is two chilli cheese dogs loaded with the home made sweet relish. An order of fries with a side of mayonnaise, and a birch beer! I'm full for a few days after, but it's so worth it! I could get just one dog the old sign that says, "There's always room for one more hot dog!" Gets me every time! They also make a great thick milkshake! The food is fantastic! Jimmy Johns is a great place to bring the family for lunch, especially if your kids enjoy the vintage train sets!

Amazing product that has the crisp casing a good frankfurter should have, and to top it all off they have a buffet topping bar so you can dress your hot dog in whatever you want, from the classic ketchup or yellow mustard to sauerkraut and spicy brown with raw onion. I love going here, I've even stopped by for a hangover cure consisting of eggs and cheese on top a frankfurter with some birch beer.

Great natural casing hot dogs, fries and onion rings. This place is a landmark from long ago. Grew up coming here. Always a treat. We saw a food preparer cough in his hand before handling our dogs, gross, so I'm knocking down a star. At least he covered his mouth... But might be the last time my wife will eat here. Cash only!

So I have to tell you this is a few blocks away from my work at County Seat Style Hair Salon in West Chester Pa but they deliver quickly! The rolls are so soft and fresh, not like other places! I love the old school shredded lettuce! The staff is awesome and at only $6.25 for a hoagie its a great value. I have paid much more other places for dry rolls and cheap rubber lunch meat. Jimmy Johns has online scheduling which is awesome because once you set up your account, its only a push of a button away for my busy salon days. I highly recommend Jimmy John's to any of my customers and hope you will give them a try, Ill be heading back very soon.

Happen to be driving by with my gf and decided to turn around and check this place out and man what a good find! First off the chilli cheese dogs are amazing the best I ever had. The chilli itself is spot on then u throw in a solid hot dog with some toppings u have a winner. The decor inside is really neat with the old toy trains and the pictures show the history of this place starting in 1940. Staff were A+. U have to be doing something right to be in business since 1940 and this place definitely does. 5 out of 5 stars all day long.

Been coming here since I was a baby... Really. Actually in the womb. Anyway, I never liked the hot dogs as a kid and haven't tried them as an adult... I do love the cheeseburgers here! And I read some reviews about "bland" fries, but I looooove their fries. A burger, fries, and a milkshake from here was my second to last meal before going into labor. Didn't feel guilty for obvious reasons... But under other circumstances, this place is a "treat" and not an every day/ every week kind of place if you generally try to eat healthy! The trains are the best. I can't wait until my little one is old enough to enjoy them!

After years of going past Jimmy John's, we stopped by and had great hot dogs! Perfectly cooked and a lot of toppings. Unfortunately, the person helping us at the counter was not very helpful. After our meal, we ordered a chocolate shake and chocolate soft serve cone. The shake was not made with chocolate ice cream, simply with a little chocolate syrup, milk and vanilla ice cream. The cone was the worst I have ever had. Vanilla ice cream with a swirl of chocolate around it. I took 3 bites and threw it away. Don't buy this substandard ice cream. Highly disappointed.

First of all this is not the national Jimmy John's chain of sandwich shops. This Jimmy John's precedes that one by more than 40 years. It's the only original business left on the Wilmington-West Chester Pike (Route 202). And it is a classic! They have been serving frankfurters and birch beers here for 75 years. In fact, with their natural casing these are my favorite frankfurters in the Philadelphia area. And they have the best condiment bar for hot dogs anywhere. You can doctor them up however you want. And I like the mac 'n cheese as well (of course I add a little bay seasoning and sriracha sauce to it!) Jimmy John's is part of the food history of the Delaware and Chester counties of Greater Philadelphia. I hope it continues to thrive for another 75 years....and that it always keeps its model train exhibits!!

We made our first visit today to this great little slice of nostalgia. I recommend the hotdogs, hamburgers and beer-battered onion rings, with a birch beer. I was hoping the hotdog would be grilled and served on a grilled bun like at some other roadside hotdog stands of long-ago yore. Alas, this was not the case and my heart sank a little when I received a short fat pink-looking dog (add your own condiments). But said dog was surprisingly meaty and flavorful. If you have a big appetite I suggest you buy two of them - they're cheap. The onion rings were also among the best I ever had, though again, you'll want to buy two portions if you're very hungry. The only component of our meal that was ordinary was the fries. You do get a large portion of those (about double the portion of onion rings), but they tasted like standard baked restaurant fries. They weren't bad, but they weren't as good as the other food we got. Nevertheless I am giving five stars anyway because this place is decorated with all sorts of model trains, some of which would even run around tracks in a glass case AND around the ceiling when you put a quarter in the slot. I don't usually get to see such things outside of the local fire department's Christmas train gardens. And there are also lots of photos of Jimmy John's going back to the first one that was opened in 1940 - a little tiny open-air hot dog stand big enough for one guy and the grill, that stood on the very spot where the much larger restaurant is now. Anyone who can keep a family business going from 1940 to the present day in the same location and still sell decent road food deserves five stars, heck they deserve a medal. P.S. This is a cash-only restaurant so don't expect to use your debit card. They do have an ATM right by the counter for people who didn't know that.

Jimmy John's can be easily written off just simply by passing it on 202. But the atmosphere and the food is simply what keeps bringing me and my family back. The old school train set ups always have my little cousins asking for change. The food is simple and satisfying. I'll be honest, it's not your healthy eating kind of place so if you're looking to simply feel fat and satisfied after a meal, this is the place to go. The Pork Roll and the Triple Crown meal are a must every time.

It's been years (sadly...even decades) since I've been to Jimmy John's. I grew up in the area, and I moved away some time ago. Once I heard about the fire, it really hit home with me, and I knew I wanted to come back and check it out. I stopped in about 2:15 on a Wednesday afternoon, and the place was really busy! It was really heartwarming to see people coming in and enjoying the place. We lucked into a table - my only negative comment is on the limited space for dining - but the food was nice (as expected ) and reasonably priced. I'm so glad that Jimmy John's is back, and I look forward to returning.

I feel like I might make some other reviewers kinda angry with my review, but I have to be honest here-- I was not happy with my Jimmy John's Pipin' Hot Sandwich. And neither were my kids. I was very much looking forward to trying out Jimmy John's after reading all of the positive reviews. I ordered a cheesesteak which turned out to be a 4" inch sandwich that was average. It wasn't gross but it did not put a smile on my face. My oldest ordered a chicken cheesesteak that he wasn't happy with mainly due to the small amount of meat on his roll. My daughter ordered a hot dog kid's meal that she made it half way through before asking if she had to finish it. She did not like the hot dog and the fries were over done. My youngest ordered a cheeseburger. He also asked if he could stop eating about half way through. I tasted his burger, I agreed with him. It had been a pre made, frozen hockey puck burger tossed on the flat top, flipped, and slapped with a piece of cheese. The trains were nice. Crossing Jimmy John's off of our list

I have a confession, my foodie friends... my name is Sean, and I have a problem... with hot dogs. Seriously, folks, I am rounding third base towards 40 years old, and I developed a love for encased meats about 5 years ago. I know there are a bunch of reviews, and that the menu is limited... so what am I going to add? Maybe just up the average review, but this is a business worthy of such attention. You aren't going to Jimmy John's to get a Foie Gras Dog like at Hot Doug's in Chicago. You aren't going to Jimmy John's expecting french service. You are going because you love America, Mom, Apple Pie, etc... I eat at Jimmy John's at least twice a month with my sons. It's where we go post-little league, football, etc. They each get a triple crown with PA Dutch Birch Beer, and I get a Triple Crown and a Hot Sausage. What to expect: - cash only (ATM on premises) - friendly staff - even the teenagers. We all know how rare that is. - spotless interior - trains everywhere that little kids love. **bring quarters for the trains if you have kids** - hot dogs with natural casings made for JJ - rolls that are soft, fresh and perfect - beautiful hot sauerkraut simmering in a warmer - fries are average "This place reminds me of a simpler time" -- - -- ------ we have all heard that a million times. About JJ: I say this place *IS* my simpler time. Inexpensive dogs with my sons, basking in nothing more than each other's company and the sounds of the trains and younger kids laughing. I have a feeling I will be nostalgic about JJ's once they leave the nest many years from now.

I enjoy hot dogs but I didn't see why this place is so famous. Its been around for years and it did make a comeback after the recent tragic fire but food wise I just don't get it. They are relatively inexpensive (cash only) and provide fast service and they are OBSESSED with trains. Other then that, you would be best grilling up some hot dogs at home.

Take a step back in time and visit Jimmy John's, a small hot dog restaurant on the side of route 202 in Chadds Fordr. Rising like a phoenix from the ashes, the restaurant is back, hot diggity dog. I recently had lunch there and the short squat hot dogs had the same snap, the spicy mustard the same bite which accompaneid by a birch beer is a heavenly way to enjoy a quick meal. The place is brighter, tables are rearranged in the back. But the same ol feel with eager servers behind the counter, and little kids clambering to play with the trains has not changed a bit. One of my favorite websites specializes in reviews of regular everyday food that's elevated to excellence. Things like burgers, cheesesteaks, lobster rolls etc. Using grease stains to identify the quality of the experience,the website's founder has a particular love for hotdogs. A brother in arms that enjoys the legendary tube steak like myself - now that's a man I admire. Frankly, this town took a huge hit when the best hotdog spot in the area - Hot Diggity - closed. I was devastated knowing I would never be able to enjoy those suburb dogs and amazing fries again. My search to find a new hotdog spot lead me to JJPHS yesterday. It's a nice, clean restaurant. Plenty of parking. Located right on 202 heading to West Chester. Great, friendly counter service. The first plus was their dogs are natural casing. That's the way all dogs should be in my opinion after growing up with Nathan's original. Ordered a well dog dog and was pleased. Tasted great. Not Hot Diggity level but a worthy dog. The onion rings were a huge disappointment. Obviously frozen. Didn't hold up like rings made fresh. Still, this spot did a nice job and will be a place I return to next time I'm in the area.

This place has been here since the 40's and is an institution. I lived in the area as a teenager and have recently moved back, but in all the time I have lived here, I've never visited until recently. We were driving by, it was lunch time, and it seemed like the right time to try it out. So my wife and I, my 18 month old and my 3 year old ordered a combination of hot dogs, fries, cheese/chili fries, a cheese steak and some shakes. The kids liked the dogs, but my wife didn't. The fries were right out of the frozen food service bag, the chili and cheese were right out of the can, and the 'cheese steak' was very average. I'll comment most on the cheese steak because it's what I ate; it was on a 5" roll but not what you expect when you order one of these in the Philadelphia area, more like what you buy at the grocery store. The steak wasn't very flavorful, and there wasn't much of it. The chili/cheese fries were bland and I had to shake a bunch of salt on them to get them down. The regular fries were pretty bland and a bit mealy. The highlight of my lunch was the chocolate shake that I had which was tasty. The service was very friendly, and the girl behind the counter helped me carry the food back to where my family was siting because there was too much for me to carry, which was a very nice gesture. But I was pretty cranky because they don't take credit cards and I only had $11 in my wallet and had to use their ATM (which means an additional $4.50 to the bill for ATM fees on my and their side.) Sorry, this is 2015, nobody carries cash anymore and you should put a huge sign on the door if you only take cash, so I can turn around and walk the other way instead of having to find out after I have already ordered my food. I know this place gets good reviews and I have to believe this is mostly nostalgia. The food did nothing for me and certainly wasn't home made, though the prices are quite reasonable if you're on a budget. The atmosphere is nice, the service is friendly, and the trains are fun for the kids to look at, but we won't be coming back.

This hot dog place is quite a long-lived institution along US-202 northbound. There is no access from US-202 southbound, so you'll have to make a couple of turns or go around a block further down the road. The centerpiece in the dining area was interesting. There is a big train set right in the middle of it all. I had a Triple Crown Meal, one of only two combo meals on their menu. The food was decent and not terribly expensive. I only wonder why it had taken me so long to try this place.

This place is great. They have a casual fun place to take kids (at least i would imagine it would be, since I don't have any of my own) and their food is perfectly sized for said kids or me! They have exactly what you would want if you're looking for a hot dog/burger/cheesesteak kind of place. Their milkshakes are really yummy, especially the black and white. Its nothing fancy and its cash only, but sometimes I'm in the mood for that kind of place and when I'm in the area, Jimmy John's is where I go.

I can see why locals love this place. Remodeled with train sets in the middle and above with pictures of the past everywhere. As for the food...a bit pricey. 2 franks with chili sauce and a medium drink, almost $8 ???!!! Come on now. The dogs had a thick casing and came on shorty sandwich buns. The casing was way too thick, I had to peel it off, not for me but the meat was very tasty. The chili was hardly chili, reminded me of a thick tomato spaghetti sauce. 5 stars for atmosphere. 3 stars for food. 2 stars for value/price. It seems that folks are so enamored with the nostalgia that the food and pricing is overlooked. Take the kids but I'm done here.

I feel almost blasphemous giving this place 2 stars. I'm so so sorry! But, here goes... Am new to the area, and my honey has mentioned Jimmy John's a few times. He'd never been either, but heard about it for years. It's a mere 6 miles from his home, so this week we decided to stop in for a mid-week lunch. Yes, it's a dive. With trains. I of course ordered the hot dog combo. First time there, you gotta get a dog, right? Hot dog with chili/cheese, side of fries and small drink. We both get the same thing. And, we called an audible and threw in an order of onion rings to share. First, the dog: bun - soft. chili - not enough to notice. cheese - bland. dog - thick casing. Now, I know that gross casing is what many of you love. Gives it the snap, eh? Well, I ended up just chewing and chewing until I spit it out. Simply couldn't finish the dog. Second, the rings. OMG. TERRIBLE. Please, someone tell them to change their oil! Tasted like it had been used since JJ opened the place! Gross gross gross. 5 rings to the order and all gross. Finally, the fries. The saving grace! Obviously not fried in the same oil as the rings. They were cripsy and fresh. Sadly, I have no desire to go back. But, I'm glad to check it off my bucket list.

They have been in business since 1940 so they know how to make a great hot dog. Everything is cooked to order. Bring your appetite but do not bring credit cards because they only take cash. If you haven't experienced a Jimmy John hot dog do yourself a favor and go try one!!

They tried to be "unique" with the way they slice up and serve their hot dogs as "sandwiches" but its a major fail. I just felt gross eating it and could only eat half. I understand theyve been around forever and a day, but i honestly cant see why.

Jimmy John's is the best ever. I have been eating here for over 30 years (so yeah, there is definitely a bit of nostalgia factor for me), but if you are looking for an incredible hot dog, hamburger, Taylor Pork Roll sandwich, and/or fries, a trip to Jimmy John's is worth your time and money. In addition to being a local landmark, Jimmy John's is a great American restaurant. While I miss the big red booths in the back that were lost in the fire, I still feel at home every time I eat here.

It usually isn't until someone dies that you appreciate them. It's said that most artists died penniless and unappreciated and then later became the titans of art that we all know and love. I feel I was a little harsh on JJ in my initial review. As I stated, I had a bad experience getting there, and the fact is, there are many other dog places that I liked better. I really hadn't given JJ a chance though, and I planned on going back to give it another try. After all, it is a Chester County institution. Sadly, I won't get my chance. On the morning of their 70th anniversary celebration, an errant grill fire brought Jimmy Johns burning to the ground. This is sad news, both for the regulars who loved the place and the Deleware Valley residents, who've yet to try it. A couple of fun facts in a way to eulogize JJ... Charm City Cakes ( ie Ace of Cakes) were there filming, as they had made the cake for the celebration. I don't know if they got footage of the fire or if it will air as an episode. It's a compelling story to be sure. It helps that no one was hurt in the blaze. Painter Andrew Wyeth was a fan of Jimmy Johns. It's said that he rewarded himself with a JJ dog after completing a piece. As I write this, it's too early to determine if Jimmy Johns will rise again from the ashes and reopen. I hope that it does. JJ was more than a physical entity, it was the spirit of the place that was it's charm. However, I cringe to think of all the cool memorabilia that adorned it's walls and what happened to it. I remember when another local institution, Linville Orchards main store burned to the ground and within 3 years it was rebuilt and better than ever. I can only hope the same will be true for Jimmy Johns. Like the sign on 202 says( and I'm paraphrasing of course) Jimmy Johns made a Uturn into my heart.

I don't get it! From what I've seen there is nothing great about this place. I guess maybe to bring your kids to look at some trains. There are absolutely no healthy menu options. They don't even have lettuce and tomato for your sandwich. The kids chicken nuggets were your typical processed fake nuggets. Mostly fried or greasy grilled food...hot dogs, hamburgers, cheesesteaks, fries, onion rings. I gave them one star for the fresh brewed iced tea! I was excited to be able to get something fresh! The fact that they have chosen to not have any healthy options, I wouldn't be back.

I can't give Jimmy Johns a high enough recommendation. The hot dogs are thick skinned and have a great flavor. The trains are fun, and it's amusing to watch children run around playing with the trains. I've been going here for as long as I can remember (met Jimmy John once!!) and want to continue going here for a very long time.

First of all this place has an odd fascination with train sets. I also find it strange that they advertise themselves as Jimmy John's "Pipin Hot Sandwiches" when in fact it is the hot dogs that they are known for. I am not originally from the area but lived nearby for a while so I stopped by. The hot dog was good, not great...i guess its hard to make an unforgettable hot dog. I dont think i'd rush back. I might take a family member or friend if they were from out of town and looking for something local.

Sort of divey, and sort of AWESOME. this place probably doesn't garner the attention it deserves. They have a pretty basic menu: hot dogs, burgers, ham sandwiches, all with/without cheese, chicken, soda, onion rings, fries, some soups. vegetarians be warned: there is nothing for you but fries and onion rings, maybe you could ask for a grilled cheese or something. anyway, i got a large fry, which was ridiculously huge, but they were good! i opted for birch beer, which tasted really good and vaguely of chapstick (i'm not familiar with it, but it was so good). oh, and everything here is cheap. really cheap. but you get a whole lot for what you pay. great for some dogs and cheap eats, without sacrificing quality. ya sure the exterior isn't lovely, but who cares.

Take a day trip whose goal is nothing more than the all American hotdog: a day traveller drive to Jimmy John's Frankfurters, West Chester, PA here was no greater connoisseur of the hot dog than my father. To find the finest frankfurter a day trip by car or an hour detour on a regular drive was not unusual. After all, a quality hot dog, in its own right can be as equally satisfying as the finest delicate preparation. My father found hot dog stands from South Philadelphia to Millville, New Jersey. There was even a day trip to Levi's in Manhattan with no other purpose than a hot dog. I can still see him asking for mustard and sauerkraut, two things as a five year old I found repulsive. I can still hear his cry of shock when Wildwood boardwalk hot dogs went from 5 cents to 10 cents. I also clearly remember what seemed like an endless drive into the deep West Chester countryside of fifty years ago for the sole purpose of relishing the joy of a Jimmy-John's hot dog. I haven't been back to Jimmy-John's since I was a child. Then, recently while out on the road, I happened to pass by and a Proustian rush of memories invaded my mind. While I couldn't stop in at the moment, I determined to devote a day to a visit. If there is a day traveller drive worth its goal, it's a day traveler drive to Jimmy-John's Famous Frankfurters. The building today is not the same as when I was a child. In those days, as I mentioned, Jimmy-John's was in the deep country and the hot dog stand was just that, a small shack with a counter and a few small tables. Today's long brick building is on a heavily traveled four lane highway in a highly developed area of malls and gas stations and hotels. Of course, I have no way to compare Jimmy John's hot dogs of fifty years ago with those of today. But I can certainly say without reserve that Jimmy John's franks are nothing short of an exceptional taste and texture experience. The casings of Jimmy John's hot dogs are what I would call Anthony Bourdain tube meat. Jimmy John's dogs are made with natural casings that snap and crack between your teeth releasing a meaty succulence not unlike that of the finest home style kielbasa. This is not a hot dog that you devour. This is a frankfurter worthy of the finest savoring. This is a fast food that demands you to take your time. The mouth -feel, texture and taste are unlike anything else that claims to be a hot dog. No wonder my father would make a day trip of going here. I also must note that the staff at the counter were the most polite and affable young men. When I asked for a hot dog without a roll for my dogs and then asked them to put some ice on it to cool it down, they didn't raise an eyebrow. Indeed, they seems as though it was the most normal and reasonable request. Then too, I must mention the train sets. One circles above the periphery of the dining area and the other is in a central glass case: a delight for children. Is a hot dog worth a day trip? I've been going here since I was a little kid, at least over the past 20 years. Their hot dogs have a little bit of a thicker casing on them so you have to be a fan of that in order to like them. Great shakes, however the cheesesteaks taste like they are steak-umms. The model trains have always been entertaining, even if I am no longer a little kid.

The best hot dogs in the world, local run and locally owned since the 1940s, historically significant and a local landmark. These hot dogs are just amazing, and the atmosphere is homey and fun. A great, fun place for a quick lunch out .

Normally I consider hot dogs an evil thing that I avoid like the plague but Jimmy John's actually makes a hot dog that you don't have to be afraid of in terms of what is it made from. Real 100% meat. No lips or other body parts. Crazy concept. Rest of the menu is really pretty standard fare. Only downside is that it is not a friendly place if you have any vegetarian friends who want a bite to eat. Plus, it can be overrun by little kids screaming and running amok especially on a Sat. or Sunday afternoon in the summer. Is it a place I would drive well of my way for? - No. It certainly is a place I like to stop from time-to-time though when I am driving home on the Wilmington Pike and certainly a huge upgrade over the garbage you find at McDonald's or the other burger chain places.

We had a Hot Sausage and Hot Dog. Very tasty as were the fries and the price was very good. The place has had a make-over and it looks pretty nice now with some history of the start back in 1940. When in this area we will stop again!

Good old fashion dogs. It's not fancy, the menu is classic, that is the charm! Excellent Dogs (love the fact you can order "ONE" and they get you a dog!) Condiments are on the side, mustard, kraut, relish, ketchup, all the usual suspects. ...Model Train Sets... (old and they run for a quarter, bring some) Since 194X, it's a tradition, If you haven't been you have to go!

m mm mm'm, mmm, mm'm, mm m mmm mm m! And that sums it up! It's a snappity hotdogalicious skin on that makes your mouth dance all over your head till it winds up back in the right spot. Been there many times, and now living in Texas, as soon as we come back for a visit, we head on over. Get two, all the way, with spi-c-ee mustard. Your mouth will thank you, and your tummy will too! Eating four, while delicious, is not recommended most of the time. Aw heck, go ahead. They're that good!

I have given this place multiple shots. They do have great breakfast food, but you would think you were dining at the Ritz in old city for the prices they have. Its Mom and Pop food at fine dining prices. Not worth it.

This is the original hot dog stand. I am glad they are back after the fire. The trains alone are worth the trip, but really we come for the hot dogs. They are an all natural casing, not your typical ball park frank.

This place has been around forever...and the reason is that it serves up a mighty good hot dog...tasty onion rings..etc...at a reasonable price in a casual atmosphere. There are mini trains inside the place to watch while you eat. You order at the counter. There are all kinds of toppings you can put on your dog. Fun place...great for kids...Located on noisy 202.

This classic is so great. I finally got a chance to get to check it out. Great atmosphere, great dogs, great place! Had a couple of dogs, some chili fries and a black and white... what else is there? well there are a gazillion photos from way back and couple of cool trains so the lil ones were hooked.

I just heard via a friend in Texas that is also from PA that JIMMY JOHN'S BURNED DOWN! I certainly didn't take advantage of this place as much as I should have when I lived back east. And I guess I'll never get to use the $5 gift certificate for Jimmy John's that I won (but was never mailed to me!) when I was 8 years old by pricking ass at a Pin the Tail on the Donkey contest at a local fair. It's finally time to put that anger to rest with the ashes of Jimmy John's. So sad...

Ain't nuthin' like a Jimmy John's dog. Custom made hot dogs and all the fixin's. I've been eating them for almost 60 years and reading the reviews has made me hungry for them..and fries - the last time I was there a large order of fries could have fed a starving village (or two hungry people)

I had some Jimmy Johns dogs at a tailgate last weekend for the first time in a long time. I had forgotten how amazing they are. Plump and juicy don't begin to describe them. I'll definitely be heading over to JJ's many more times before the summer is gone. Although a family atmosphere in the restaurant, these dogs are quite amazing with an adult beverage as well.

Heard about this place online and went there while on vacation in the Philly area. This isn't some mushy grocery store excuse for a hot dog. It's a real old school dog in an old school place. I loved it. Too bad there aren;t many places like this left. Almost none in CA where I live.

Jimmy John's his is perhaps the oldest business (about 50 years old) on West Chester Pike (Rt 202) between West Chester PA and Wilmington DE. It's a wonderful little place for hot dogs, burgers and fries. Lots of memorabilia and old train sets that work. A fun, nostalgic place that still does a big business!
