My wife and I have made the breakfast rounds here in Chester County and I can tell you with a fair amount of confidence, that this is in our top 10 repeat places. The wining combination is delicious breakfast food, fair prices, a friendly but not overbearing wait staff, real syrup on the tables (a serious must have to be considered good), freshly-squeezed OJ and just an overall local diner feel. Best times to go on weekends are between 7-10 AM. After that time slot, you're talking a decent wait time. Go check it out. It will beat the IHOPs and cautiously-cheap diners any day of the week.

Great waffles and pancakes! The food is always hearty and filling. Great service too whether you're a regular or a newbie.

This place is close to where I live, so I was hoping to end my quest for a great breakfast place. Unfortunately, this place was only so-so. The atmosphere wasn't very nice at all. The food was only OK. I had eggs and homefries - the homefries weren't crispy enough. My boyfriend's pancakes were burned, so he won't go back. For a place that touts itself as "Best Breakfast in Chester County," I am NOT convinced. I still haven't found that great breakfast place...Gramm's is definitely not it.

Gramm's Kitchen: Home Of The Pale Sausage! I've had a NUMBER of terrible experiences with this dump. I will only tell of what is, to this day one of the most insane experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. One morning me and (2) of my friends sauntered into Gramm's Kitchen, as one of my friends had been raving about how good the breakfast was. So, we figured... WTF, right? WRONG! The place usually sees a "church" crowd in the AM's on Sunday's. This particular Sunday the place was rather quiet, not that busy. We were seated by the hostess and then the wait began. 10 mins, 15 mins, around 20 minutes is when we starting looking around like, "What's the deal?" Then, our server came over... What a GEM this lady was. Looked like something right out of a 1950's road-side diner. Complete with the cigarette destroyed voice and aggressive charm. She comes over and proceeds to gruffly spurt out, "What do you want!?" Classy. Myself and one of my friends ordered. It was when the third member of our party politely inquired about ordering a breakfast sandwich that the fun started. The server said "Nope". This was before he'd even finished his question. When he tried to ask again, we got another quick "Nope". I started laughing. So then, my friend who's just been served up a healthy does of f**k off, informs the server that his needs another minute to order then. This waitress then laughs and turns to me and states, "Wow, don't leave this guy with the million-dollar decision, huh?!" Um... What? After another 10 minutes, our lovely server returned. My friend then said, seeing as they refused to make a breakfast sandwich (even though in their side item menu, you can order all the components of one, the "chef" must have an issue with putting things between two pieces of bread) he was going to order 4 side items and said, "I guess I'll just put it together myself." When he asked if he could have hash-browns instead of potato-chips (it was 10AM) he got... Take a guess now... "Nope" At this point we're literally thinking that a camera crew is going to pop out and yell that we've won something. He starts laughing and inquires why is this? This is the scientific, ground-breaking explanation we received, no bullshit: "Well, I'll tell you why; One entails the cook having to actually make the hash-browns and the other one entails me reaching into a bag, and throwing chips on a plate. That's why." With that, she stormed away. It was at this point we noticed the big BYOB sign on the front window. We thought about running out to grab a 30-pack, ripping a bunch of beers then tossing the empties all over the place as a sign of protest of this absurd service and restaurant. We decided against that though... Eventually, the gross, sub-par food came out. When we went to pay we asked to speak with the manager to inform her of how rude and odd the service was. As soon as the manager started to approach us from the back of the restaurant, our server cam RUNNING out of the dining room and cut her off. She turns to us and goes "Is there a problem here?!" At this point, I'm like, f**k off lady, you've done enough. As awkward as it was, we tried, as politely as possible to say your sever is rude. Not to our shock, the manager looks at us after we said our peace and goes, "And?" Thank Gramms!!!! PS - The pale sausage thing is a whole other animal for another time...

A group of us went for an end-of-the-semester celebration. Breakfast was to be had, of course. The first issue I had was someone comparing this place to a diner in Jersey. That's a bold statement to make ... but this place did not disappoint. The decor was not very diner'ish, but the food was on par with what you would get a diner. I got my standard scrambled eggs, bacon and home fries. PERFECT. Others at my table got chocolate chip pancakes (a huge hit), a Belgian waffle (another successful choice) and an omelette. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I definitely recommend this place when in the area. I hear the dinners at Gramm's are awesome and a great deal, so I plan on checkin that out sometime soon.

I'm only giving it 3 stars because my daughter loved the Ravioli from the kids meal and the soup of the day (chicken potato corn chowder) was pretty good, slightly salty for me but alright and my kids chowed it down. I ordered the chicken croquet and it wasn't my favorite meal, again I thought it was too salty and the mashed potatoes it came with didn't taste fresh.

Gramm's is another good breakfast spot in West Chester. Good and fast service with a smile. Nice omelets and potatoes. Hot coffee. Clean and comfy. Go early or late to beat the crowd.

You can find Gramm's Kitchen tucked away in the Gay Street Plaza shopping center in town, and the location is pretty unfortunate, because if you want diner food on the way into town...you pass at least five other diners before getting to this one. My girlfriend and I had only discovered this diner after doing a tour of West Chester diners over the course of a couple of months. We were looking to find "the diner" that becomes our go-to spot whenever someone is suffering from a hangover, can't remember how old the eggs are (or maybe forgot to buy milk), or wants breakfast food at random times of the day, etc. My three stars are based on: 1. The food. It's pretty darn good. It is prepared well, and my only real knock on it is the presentation at times. Also, smaller plates would probably get rid of the need to garnish four chicken fingers with half a head of lettuce. 2. The staff. I think the longest time that we have sat without something to drink was about a minute. Our food always arrives quickly, and if we have ever needed anything, we got it almost immediately. 3. The consistency. Gramm's Kitchen has become our "I NEED TO EAT. NOW!" place, mainly because of the consistency of service and food quality. The food tastes like it should, we haven't experienced an off day with the waitstaff, and the place is clean. All of those elements have made it easy to say "Let's just go to Gramm's". The upside was that the service we have had was very pleasant and efficient. The waitstaff is pretty good at reading their customers, only stopping by at appropriate times. I would say that a HUGE service indicator at places like this would be the amount of time that you find your coffee/water/soda empty, and Gramm's Kitchen does a nice job of making sure that it doesn't happen often. Although I would say that everything that I have ever ordered from here was definitely very well done, the downside is that this place has a pretty standard menu which sticks to it's "NO SUBSTITUTIONS" clause pretty closely. I figure that the "NO SUBSTITUTIONS" clause is allows the kitchen to get the food to come out as quick as it does. Gramm's Kitchen also closes way earlier than all the other diners, so be prepared to have a "plan B" if you want a late night meal.

Not only best breakfast in town, but a great value. Lunch is great too. Everyone is friendly, polite and courteous. Service can't be beat as all the 20 something servers are well trained and professional and you can get anything that you want anytime. I've been eating at Gramm's for 10 years 3 times a week and have always had a great experience and enjoyed the food. One of the two brothers (owners of Gramm's) is always there making sure that everything is running smoothly. I noticed that a May 11, 2015 review of this restaurant was weird as nothing about their experience was recognizable, especially the BYOB sign on the window. My friends who own Gramm's do not allow alcohol in the restaurant.....ever. Guys, you must have been someplace else.

I work in West Chester so I wanted to find a breakfast place where I could order out. I found Gramms Kitchen and though the prices were a little high $6.50 for a ham, egg and cheese on an english muffin, it was really the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. They also gave delicious homefries with that cost. You get what you pay for and it was really good. Ordering was quick and easy and they had my food ready quickly. I will go here again in the future. I recommend to try this place if you want good breakfast. 4 Stars because the price was on the higher side
