When we arrived we could see that the place was packed. There was a large function going on in the pavilion which may have impacted the service and food quality. However, our order did take a while to arrive which seems to be consistent with other reviews. I ordered a combo meal with brisket and pulled pork. When the food arrive (on a black plastic plate) it looked like a pile of brown mush. When I order brisket, I expect to receive nicely sliced pieces of tender meat. This was all chopped up - more like pulled brisket. The pulled pork was so fatty I had to dig around to find a decent piece- only found a few and left the rest. The meal came with corn, fries (definitely frozen from a bag), slaw and beans. Beans were just ok, slaw was fresh and probably the best thing I ate. My husband got a half rack of ribs and he was not impressed either. They were very dried out and chewy. We ate inside and our waitress, who was also the bartender, seemed like she was running around constantly and stressed out. Again, that could be due to the large party going on... We might try it again but our expectations would be low.

I'm not going to lie... this pizza was bad... I've eaten this pizza for 15 years and always been satisfied. Not today. Not the same cheese and no sauce. Very similar to ellios frozen pizza. Also spent 30 bucks on two trays. Don't know if they are expanding too fast or lost majority of the inside people I grew up with. Hopefully it turns around

Just to cover what most people have commented on, the pizza is...different. No, it's not going to threaten any of the great pizza houses of New York, but it is tasty. Like Pizza Hut or Little Caesar's, I can see there being a time I might crave this American Cheese pizza. But the real star of this place is the BBQ. The beef brisket is tender and smokey and the sauce is well spiced. My wife's pulled pork sandwich was outrageously flavorful and she raved, bite after bite. After dinner and appetizers for 7 adults and 1 child, plus a tray of pizza, 8 beers and multiple sodas came to only $134, the Waymart Hotel & Wrangler's BBQ Pit gets an easy 5 star review.

Perfectly executed! Extra crispy bark pink layer directly under (that means its done right) Juicy white meat And dark meat Sauce is good Like how they throw a lil extra on top And that real smoke

Talking about sitting outside in the summer, you know what you're getting into here. It's crowded on the weekends and you'll have to wait. It'll take a little too long to get your food. If you order BBQ and something from the kitchen inside all bets are off and the timing will be wrong. Also the BBQ platter pricing makes zero sense. Last time I went we started with wings and then I had the brisket sandwich with no bun. Didn't get fries or anything else. That was the way to go since I got a ton of brisket that was fatty and perfectly tender. I was expecting average but it definitely exceeded those expectations.

i'll start this review with something positive. the ambiance of this place is perfect. a semi-outdoor pavilion with an old west theme and a beautiful garden to look at, and then the inside of the bar is cool too, not too dark with a lot of wood, i see it being a nice cozy place to drink in the winter and then the outside would be a great place to drink in the summer. seeing as how i don't live in the area though, i won't be doing either of those. what drew me to visit this place was the BBQ. i'm a cue fanatic, i cook my own and i travel to places to see what others have to offer, and i heard good things about this place. when my friend and i pulled in we saw a huge smoker that looked really cool, but it wasn't producing any smoke. hmm. so we went in and got a table. we split the half rack platter, a pulled pork sandwich, and a beef brisket sandwich. Ribs and Brisket are always my go-to items that i judge a place on. i bit into a rib and the flavor seemed odd. the same odd flavor was in all the meat we were served. it was a bitter taste with a bit of a chemical taste mixed in, and at first i assumed it was lighter fluid. as we left the restaurant we saw that the smoker was finally lit, and there was a propane tank with a torch at the end of it going into the firebox. oof, that explains the chemical taste, and the bitter taste would be because of the way the wood is being burned. their website states that they use cherry and apple woods, which are good but they have a mild flavor, so it was overpowered by the propane. fast burns like that can make the flavor bitter, and the thick white smoke coming out of the chimney on the smoker was a sign of that kind of fire, typically you want a faint blue smoke coming out, blue smoke comes from a clean fire. the ribs were full size spares but they would have benefited from a st louis cut, because the meat between the bones had a perfect texture, not too tough but it wasn't literally falling off the bone either, which is how ribs should be, falling off the bone means they're overcooked. the parts that would have been cut off st louis style were tough to chew. the brisket also seemed like they cut corners. it was sliced thin and had some hard fat on it, so i suspect that it should have stayed on the smoker longer because slicing it thin is a way to hide tough meat, and also they didn't put much meat on the sandwich. the bread on the sandwich was good though. the pulled pork didn't impress me at all. it was over worked, there were no big chunks of meat in there, it was all shredded and it sat around in sauce for hours and it absorbed into the meat, my advice is to skip the pulled pork. i'd try the brisket and ribs again though because this may have been an off day. as for the sides, any platter or combo automatically comes with corn on the cob, coleslaw, baked beans, and a choice of fries or baked potato. i'm not a fan of this, i'd much rather be able to choose other sides they have from their menu, like the mac salad or potato salad. the corn i got was ok but i wouldn't miss it at all if they didn't include it with the meal. the baked beans seemed like they were straight out of a can, but the coleslaw was pretty good. i thought the fries were also pretty good. i also tried some of their pizza. i'm no stranger to american cheese pizza, so i thought i'd give this place a shot, and i thought it was pretty good. nothing amazing but if i lived in the area i'd probably get a pizza from here a couple times a month. they say they are famous for their sauce, but i couldn't taste much tomato, the only thing i tasted from the sauce was green bell pepper, it's really the cheese that sets this pizza off. as for the service, the hostess was friendly and helpful and adorable. our waitress seemed nice but really flustered and forgetful. at one point i looked over at the bar and saw a group of 3 girls who worked there talking to each other while a woman at the other end of the bar had to yell out that she needed service. this place definitely needs to shape up their wait staff. there's one other gripe i have about this place, the pricing. i looked at the BBQ dinners and thought they were all really high. the half rack dinner was $22 where at most places it's $16 or $17. and here's the funny thing. if you bought a half rack of ribs ala carte, they cost $11. but then to add fries, slaw, beans, and corn it's an extra $11! then if you look at the sides menu the corn is $1.95, the beans and slaw are also $1.95, and the fries are $3.50, so if you add them up that's $9.35, so ordering a dinner is actually costing you $1.65 more than if you order it all separately! all in all, the que was a let down but i'd give it a 2nd shot. amazing ambiance but slow service, this place needs a little work.

My type of place, great atmosphere! Good ole western theme. On another note ordered the cheese steak pizza and we surely wasn't disappointed by any means! The large was big enough to feed 4-5 people with plenty to spare. Cant wait till I go back and hit up there bar, looks like a good time!

French fries were soggy and clam strips tasted like Mrs.Paul's on a bad day. Onion soup was nothing special. Go for the beer and conversation and skip the food.

It may help to have grown up around here to truly appreciate hotel pizza. Don't expect "New York style" pizza - this is anything but. I've traveled all over the world and nothing is quite as unique and can bring me home quicker than hotel pizza. Some suggestions: Cheese steak pizza The Bianca Straight up outta Compton, regular pizza For the price, you simply cannot complain or beat the food and experience of this legendary small town eatery.

Only ever had their pizza and it's pretty good. Reminds me of "Old Forge" Style pizza without the crunchy crust. I know you don't know what "Old Forge" pizza is,neither did I until I had it in Carbondale years ago and it's great.Sort of like Sicilian with a crunchy crust. Oh yeah, the bar in the next room can get rowdy.

Outdoor BBQ is pretty amazing. The landscaping is awesome! We ordered the sampler BBQ, which is ribs and chicken. Both were great. Also got pizza, I've had it before so I knew I liked it.

If you are looking for great scenery and a place that has the feel of a BBQ joint, this is your place. If you are looking for good BBQ and service, you may want to go somewhere else. My husband and I eat out frequently. We appreciate mom and pop or privately owned places. We especially love BBQ so we were excited to try out Waymart. We were initially impressed by the ambiance and a friendly greeting from the hostess but things went down from there. Our waitress (identified as Rachel B on our receipt, but never introduced herself) took our drink orders and then our orders. We ordered two of the pre-packaged BBQ dinners, which included chicken, ribs, brisket, pulled pork, macaroni salad, corn on the cob, french fries and baked beans. We also ordered a side of mac-n-cheese. While we waited, we saw the waitstaff socialize, give each others hugs and even kisses. I think one waitress had her cell phone in her bra and would regularly pull down her shirt to look at the phone. This was not appetizing. When we received our food, it looked good but we were quickly disappointed. I agree with the one review from Barbecutioner K., the taste of the BBQ was odd. It definitely had a chemical taste. The brisket and chicken were very dry and McCormicks makes a better pulled pork. The ribs were okay but when lathered with the chemical tasting BBQ, they didn't meet the mark. The sides weren't much better. The mac-n-cheese was cold when it was delivered. We had planned on sending it back to be heated when the waitress came back but that didn't happen again until we had finished our meal. We didn't even see her wandering about with the rest of the socialites to grab her. The baked beans were okay as was the macaroni salad. The french fries were luke warm and mushy. The corn on the cob was served in foil so I expected that it was already buttered and was surprised to see cold butter packets served with it. When I unwrapped the corn, it was not buttered, it too was luke warm and I wasn't sure how to get the cold butter packets onto the cool corn. (and one of the butter packets they served with the corn was already open and partially used which really turned me off) It took so long for the waitress to come back that my husband bused our own table after finding a trash can. This is what motivated our absent waitress to return to the table. We kept the mac-n-cheese so we could heat it when we got home. Instead of boxing it for us, she brought us a box to do it ourselves (a pet peave of mine). For the two dinners, (only one of which came with sides), a side of mac-n-cheese, two domestic beers and a soda, the bill was $57 which I felt was a bit pricey. After dropping the check, we again had to wait for her to come back to get our card. We watched her take a drink order, get the drinks, go back and take the food order, place the order, disappear for a while (while she disappeared the woman she had just given drinks to went to the bar to let them know the Chardonnay tasted funny and asked for something different) and then finally come to our table to swipe the card. As an aside, both my husband and I worked in restaurants in various capacities for years, both of us bartended, he cooked and I waitressed. We know how things should be done. They were loading the beer fridge and instead of rotating the contents so the oldest drinks are served first, they just front loaded. This increases the risk of having skunky beer as the beer fridge empties. We will not be back. We had actually hoped to like it so we could bring family back

Service is ssslloowww....they brought the app WITH the meal. The place is great... The BBQ is not great but average. Not very BBQ-ey. Brisket was fatty and so were the ribs.

It was nicer inside than I expected. Clean. Barn style decor. Very casual but kind of cute. Ladies bathroom seemed to be recently updated and was nicely done; again clean (although it is in the front corner of the DR which is a shame). I ordered the battered caulifower with ranch dip. They were yummy. I also had the chili which was excellent. Not spicy at all if you're wondering. They offer it with onions and cheddar. I got them on the side. Dining partner had the chicken salad sandwhich and was initially dismayed by the amount of chicken but in the end said it was pretty good. Only negative was that by the end of our lunch there were several flies circling around us which became very annoying. It was pouring while I was there so I didn't get to check out the BBQ pit, bar, playground, waterfall...out back.

I don't understand the American cheese phenomenon. Pizza shouldn't stick to your teeth. Or be spicy. Or orange. I'm intrigued by the barbecue food though, given the intense setup they've got going on. So I may go back for that. Edit: Forgive my ignorance, Yelp readers; I had no idea American cheese in all its fake, processed glory was such a delicacy only the finest palates could enjoy!

The 2 stars are for the food. Great BBQ. However, the service was awful. I went on a Saturday afternoon with some friends and our waitress took about 20 min to take our drink orders. After asking for a 2 margaritas we waited at least another 20 min and then placed our order. Our food took a long time but there was a good band so we were okay with it. Asking for another margarita the waitress told us it was a new bartender so it might taste different. When the waitress brought out the margarita and told me to taste it, it tasted like lemons. Who puts lemons in a margarita?! When we gave her our checks, split between 2 couples she charges our credit cards on the wrong check. We may go back because the BBQ is awesome but def not worth the awful service.

DOUBLE CRUST CHEESESTEAK PIZZA!!!!! Ohmygod! If you haven't had it yet you're not living. It is the best pizza I've ever had and I'm really disappointed we don't have pizza like this in Philly. I've eaten here at least once a year with family (I only make it up to NEPA four-five times a year) and everything I've gotten here has been great, but the Cheesesteak pizza! OMG!!!!!!!
