Yum! Texas Roadhouse never fails to disappoint. Pro tip: get there early to get the early-bird dinner specials that are only $9.99! In the many times I've been to this location, I've never had a bad steak (I usually stay simple and get the sirloin). One thing that makes the Roadhouse special is their steak sauce. I'm usually one for A-1, but I do love the unique blend of spices in Texas Roadhouse's. It's a little sweeter than A-1, but in a good way! Also, they make the best garden salads. The addition of cheese and egg is a nice touch that adds a flavorful kick! It's definitely loud, so probably not the best place for a romantic date, but it's a great place for groups!

Went here with my mom, aunt and uncle for dinner on Friday night. Not sure if it was just an off night for this place but the food we had was horrible! We got there rather early too so the restaurant was half full and our waitress was attentive. We started off with a blooming onion and fried pickles (decent) but how can you really go wrong with fried, fatty comfort food. For the bad part......Our meals consisted of the fried catfish, portobello mushroom chicken, 10 oz prime rib, and BBQ chicken. The fried catfish was disgusting! My uncle said it tasted like it was belly up in the farm pond a week before being taken out with a net. We sent that back and he ordered the 10 oz ribeye. When that came to the table it looked promising.....but no! He said it tasted like a deer salt lick. My mom confirmed since I don't eat red meat. The BBQ chicken was extremely dry and barely edible but we did not send that back. The portobello mushroom chicken was ok. The brown sauce was also very salty!! My mom did enjoy the prime rib but ordered it medium well and it came out rare...she ate it because she thought we had complained enough at that point. Nothing was deducted from our bill. Not that I expect that but for being as polite as we could about the food I would have thought they may have taken a percentage off or gave a gift certificate. We did get an apology from the manager though.

I went here with my girlfriend and a friend, she's very picky but she could still find something in the menu she liked. It took a long time to get our food because there was a lot of people but it was very good. They make sure many times(probably too many) if you are doing alright

It's a steak place. I wouldn't recommend the chicken fried steak. It's extremely tough and the cream gravy is like water.

So there I was, Saturday, 6:30, at the Texas RoadHouse. The place was packed. People outside smoking, people waiting in the doorway, others standing wherever there was room, no room at the bar to even stand. The hostess said there was about a 15 minute wait (translate that to a 45 minute wait). I looked to my girl and asked, "What do you think?" She suggested that we get on the waiting list and go next door to TGI Fridays and have a drink there while we wait. Sounded like a plan to me. The hostess took our name and cell number and off to TGI's for a beer. This review isn't to bash TGI Friday's but it does make you wonder why there's was no wait there (and it's right next to the Texas RoadHouse) and we were able to get a seat at the bar and be served drinks almost immediately. 45 minutes later we got a text message from TRH that our table was ready. We got escorted to a booth and I looked around. The place had a wood / country feel to it with lots of Willie Nelson pictures and paraphernalia. The tables all had a bucket of complimentary shelled peanuts. Our waitress got us some beers, Yuengling was the most interesting beer available. We looked at the menu and decided on the grilled shrimp skewer as an appetizer, I went with the bone-in ribeye, well done, with a salad and baked potato and my girl ordered a rack of ribs, a salad and a sweet potato. We got our beers and the shrimp skewer came out about five minutes later. It had a lemon, garlic butter dressing, cooked perfectly, and it was delicious. Afterwards we got lost in conversation and didn't realize that about 30 minutes had past and we still didn't have our dinners. The waitress came over and apologized saying that there was a mix-up and that we would get a discount on the dinner. It was fine by us as we were having a good time just talking and drinking. When our plates did arrive we could both tell that we were going to need some take-out containers. The salads were much bigger than you'd expect for a house salad. My steak was huge and the rack of ribs was more like two racks of ribs. The food quality itself was beyond expectation. My ribeye was very tasty; grilled to perfection and the ribs were "fall of the bone" tender with a generous slathering of BBQ sauce. It's no wonder that there was such a crowd. Poor TGI's next door just can't compete with this kind of meal. The manager came over, apologized again for the wait, asked how everything was, and told us that we would be getting 20% off for the meal taking so long to come out. Add a military discount on top of that (I'm an Army Reserve Soldier) and this huge meal for two plus appetizer and drinks came to just $34.00 plus tip! Despite the wait and the lack of craft beers, I'm awarding this place 5 stars for the courteous service, the quality of food, the huge portions and the low price,

An OK place, loud music and a party atmosphere with food. Children are welcome but the atmosphere is not right for them. Business meetings might have an issue as well. Good friends and drinks are the fare this place caters to. I give big credit for only a ten minute wait time on a Friday night, texting us the menu and when to come up to the hostess station. We knew what we wanted and we're quick to order. Hot biscuits and peanuts in a bucket to hold is over till the food arrived. We ordered the ribs, shrimp, and the kids had chicken nuggets. The adults food was filling, cooked well and without issue. The children had ordered the chicken nuggets. Disappointed in the portion size. 5 tiny nuggets. The waitress fixed it fast with sides and more chicken. Still band though. All in all, a good place for adults. Leave the kids at home.

Went in with a party of four and was seated immediately. Drinks, bread and food all arrived in a timely manner. My steak was a little underdone but still tasty. Everyone was friendly and polite. But then they all started line dancing and I thought I was having a psychotic episode. After being assured that I wasn't hallucinating, we paid and left. I won't be returning. Come for the OK steak. Leave before the insane line dancing.

Not bad... It's a decent chain. The cook needs to lay off the iron and not cook the steak in the flames... Thick black bitter char on a med rare steak sucks.

Good. Freaking. Lord. What is it?: The Texas Roadhouse is a... Texas-themed resturaunt? To give a good idea of the place, the waiters and waitresses are forced to dance to a song that plays on the radio about every five minutes. They have to stop whatever they are doing and SQUARE DANCE. What's it like (short)?: - Terrible, LOUD music - Square dancing crew - Red meat everywhere - Peanuts at every turn - Mediocre service and food What's it like (long)?: What's it like...? Well, my friend, it's like WWII on your ears. They turn the music up to 11 just for your listening enjoyment. I wouldn't mind such a bombardment if it wasn't country - I mean devil music. After 15 minutes I was clutching my ears begging Jeesus Christ for the hell to stop. While I was on the ground, ears bleeding, I noticed a plethora of peanut shells on the ground. It turns out that shelled peanuts are served from giant barrels placed at every bench-end. If you are allergic to peanuts and even walk by this resturaunt, you are totally screwed. The menu: I'm sure you can guess what the food is: steak, steak, steak, and red meat. If you try, you might find chicken on the menu somewhere or maybe even a salad if you're vigilant. The service is mediocre and the food isn't anything to be happy about. If you value your health and money don't even think about going here. It's a total waste of perfectly good cash and time.

Let me just start out by saying, I normally LOVE Texas Roadhouse. I go to the one often in Greensburg, PA and it is a family favorite. I know a lot of people don't enjoy the loud music and dancing waitresses, but when you have 2 kids, the noise and chaos doesn't bother you anymore lol. But anyway, I was expecting the same amazing food quality here, but.....no. The only thing that was good about this experience was the waitress. She was extremely friendly, efficient, and apologetic. Now for the bad.... 1. Appetizer, Onion blossom thing. Took a bite into it and onion was raw/tough, not cooked nearly long enough. There was a powder from the batter all over the bottom of the onion that you choked on when you were trying to chew the tough onion. We complained and they replaced it. Second was much better and on the house. So, that was some good. 2. Chicken tenders/fritters-this is normally my FAVORITE. Love them in Greensburg! But here, they were BAD. My daughters were gummy. I couldn't tell if it was from the batter or if they were not cooked long enough. My mom cut into her first one and it was gray....GRAY! So gross! The waitress apologized and replaced it. When she brought new ones back, she said that when she got it into the lighting in the kitchen, that it was just a big chunk of batter, no chicken. I'm not so sure about that, but even if...it was gross. 3. Baked potato soup-This was thick and gooey...sorry, that's the best way I can think to describe it. It was topped with cheese and bacon and ALL I could taste was bacon. I felt like I had gooey bacon in my mouth, yuck. I got the impression that it was old and had been heated, then reheated, then reheated....ew Needless to say, I won't be visiting THIS Texas Roadhouse again.

It's unique, it's like your in a real road house. They give you peanuts to throw on the floor as ambience. Almost everything I had taste delicious especially the free homemade buns they give you with cinnamon butter that melts in your mouth! I will go just to get these buns. And I love the ribs, they are some of the best I have ever had!!!!!

This is a total "eat-from-the-trough" experience. Loud. Really loud - everyone is shouting or yipping. Tons of marginal, calorie-laden food. Hyper-active, fake-friendly servers that don't know when to leave - they keep checking and checking and checking if you need anything and are loving everything. I wanted to say, "I need you to leave and I'll love it when I can too." Eating at the Texas Roadhouse is like a overhyped parody on every stereotypical thing you've heard about the Lone Star State. Eating here is just plain weird.
