I tried selling a service to the owner. She listened to the pitch but decided against our service. The food is too good here to hold a grudge! Had lunch with my mother, wife and son on 6-7-15. Tara, our server was great. Appetizers- Calamari outstanding. Bruschetta looked unappetizing turned out to be delicious. My pepperoni roll was perfect. My son was stuffed after the appetizers but he still finished his chicken Parmesan. My wife ordered the gnocchi with a heavy cream sauce. A bit too much for her. I finished it off today. My mom ordered the fried artichoke hearts. Lightly battered and full of flavor and moisture. Be careful when taking a bite. This was a great time. Yes, we will be returning.

Ordered ice tea, small salad and spaghetti with meat sauce. The salad was ok. It contained a few banana pepper rings, black olives, radish, lettuce, onion and one small lonely tomato. It also appeared to have been a round for a while in a chiller. Let's see what happens with the spaghetti. On the plus side, the staff was friendly and the portions were quite large. The first thing I noticed was the watery sauce. The flavor was very bland and under seasoned to my taste. The ground beef in the sauce had an odd texture to me and was without flavor. I did the best I could with salt, graded cheese and red pepper flakes to help it out. I don't know if I will return but if I do, it may be to try the pizza. My experience wasn't bad, I just expected more flavor from the food in an Italian restaurant. If you don't mind bland tasting food, it's worth a trip.

Not ever again. I hope it was because it newly opened. But, not one thing was good. Why? The table behind us had a family with blaring video games. And, I mean LOUD. Maybe the parents should tell them to turn down the volume not play them themselves. And again, I ask, why? I think the wait staff could say something?? RIGHT?? Food - strange, bad, distasteful. I can't even remember what we had, as I am trying to purge it from memory. Our waitress was attentive, but strangely so. Perplexed and disappointed. I think there is a Dairy Queen nearby.

I ordered a good chicken dish, Chicken Nicole, and the seafood lasagna. They were both tasty. They bread they serve is made well and has a nice crust but has no flavor to it. It's clean, but seems like it needs more decorations. I guess it depends on what you order, I had a side of pasta and the tomato garlic sauce was a bit bitter, but the other food was good.

First time there tonight. Food was wonderful and so was the service. Loved our waitress, Ronnie. Will definitely be going back. Seafood Alfredo was AMAZING!

This newer Italian restaurant is located in the new Park Place Plaza near the Meadows Racetrack and Casino. It is casual (almost too casual). Our server was very attentive. She refilled drinks timely and checked on us consistently. Empty plates were cleared timely too. The food? The dishes we ordered were edible but certainly not memorable. The Napoli Pasta tasted very strange to both me and my wife. The Basil Pesto Tilapia I had was so-so. We won't be dining there again anytime soon.

First time there had the stuffed shells, very good. This time had ravioli, and the sauce tasted like tomato paste. Worst sauce I've ever had. I guess it depends on what you order. The bread is good if you like it a bit doughy, and served with real buter. Nice salad with good selection of dressings. Hostess came by twice to ask if all was ok, but never even slowed down to hear a response. I'll only go back if that's where companions want to go. Too pricey for the atmosphere and quality.

Food sat under the warmer for so long my husband's "cheese wheel" looked like a cheese disk and my lemon chicken had zero sauce, because it had all evaporated. Dirty. Lemon seeds in the middle of the table from the last customers. For $15 entrees, no thanks. We won't go back.

Came here for a friends birthday and got their chicken soup (I apologize as I don't know the actual name) and Eggplant Rollatini. All I have to say is wow! The food tasted so fresh and homemade. Went here on a Saturday and it was packed. However our food came out pretty quick. Portion sizes are huge, I had to take my second stuffed eggplant home. My only small complaint is that I really wanted to try their seafood bisque that they only served 2 or 3 times a week. Not on Saturdays either. I guess that just gives me another excuse to eat there again. Plus I'm craving the Rollatini again!

Dined here 1/31/15. We ordered chicken parmesan, meat ravioli, and the fried zucchini appetizer. Portions were nice and worth the price. Zucchini was lightly breaded and very good. Service was spot on - not too intrusive, but always around to refill drinks and check on us. The only real knock was the set up. It was awkward walking through the little dining room and past the kitchen doors to get to the large back dining room. I'm also not a fan of the two person bistro table, but the place was busy, so sitting two at a four-top was out of the question. All in all, we were happy with the experience and will definitely return. edit: Returned 3/30 for dinner. Pick your own pasta and the Italian hoagie (huge!). Also had the combo platter appetizer. Good food, generous portions, top-notch service by Nikki. Half of our dinners came home with us. Lunch tomorrow!

Generous portions, comfortable atmosphere, and fresh ingredients. I went for lunch with coworkers yesterday and I enjoyed the Meat Ravioli enough to head back today for their pizza. The pizza my coworkers had yesterday looked amazing. I'm going to try their supreme pizza today. It's great to have a place like this near Racetrack Road now!

The food is fine. The service was horrible like he was doing us a favor waiting on us. Both of their locations have the same attitude. It's all about "service" and we hope the owners get it as this was the 3rd time we gave them a chance

Great supreme pizza. Kids loved the Mac and cheese. A little bit of a wait being it was Saturday night but the lobby area is small and not defined very well. Also the bathrooms were very small for a place it size.

Not impressed! Sauce was bitter and the "Bruschetta" is the worst! Not what you expect.

I totally would've given more stars if the bartender/waitress hadn't called us "sweetheart" and "babe" the whole time and learned not to interrupt a conversation in mid-sentence to ask a question. The bruschetta was quite odd and served as basically cheese toast with a cup of oily stuff to make your own. Zucchini was good. Tomato sauce was bitter on the beef ravioli. Not awesome. Someone needs some serious training.

Awesome, had the ravioli the first time... Parents had the "create your pasta"... Well worth the money. Drinks are a lil on the high side (for doubles) shrimp were a lil pricey too. Place usually has a crowd during peak hours. Second visit had the Stromboli and dried mozzarella, both very good. Mostly all homemade. You won't leave hungry. Dinner and drinks for 3 $90 Lunch for two $25 Wait staff is very attentive

I wanted to like Napoli more than I do. After two blasé visits, here are my observations. 1. Strange layout, uncomfortable lobby, little to no ambience despite the wall murals, has a sterile feeling throughout. Some very odd seating areas, especially near front door. 2. Chaotic, seemingly disorganized service from the hostess station on. Both times our servers have seemed somewhat disconnected and even slightly confused. We arrived early and the place was almost empty, so we could not understand the discombobulated feeling of the operation. 3. Ingredients not fully disclosed on menu. I ordered a chicken dish that I had to reject when served because of a food sensitivity. The ingredient was not listed but was quite obvious when the food was served. 4. Replacement dish was not prepared correctly. It was an antipasti salad - how hard can that be? But salami and artichokes (listed on menu) were nowhere to be found. 5. Server was sure to remind me that the salad I ordered as replacement was being given me as an exception (it's a lunch item in 1/2 portion and we were there for dinner). In other words, we will honor your food needs because we messed up, but we are really going out of our way to make a half salad instead of a whole one. Why did she feel the need to mention this, as if to scold me? Did someone tell her to remind me of that? It was so rude. I asked for it, she said yes - that should have been the end of it. 6. Server advised me that my food allergy (I never called it that, she did) might be aggravated anyway because they make pizza and there's flour in the air at all times. (?!?!) I was shocked at this, too - medical advice? 7. Another person in our party ordered the "seafood" lasagna, which he said contained fake crabmeat. Really, how do you pass that off for $14?! 8. Some truly awkward moments when our server did not offer any wine suggestions despite the fact that we were contemplating the wine and beer list. She stood mute while we sort of struggled. Because of this, one person ordered no wine at all, since the sever seemed anxious to get on with things. In fact, at first she just said, "So, just water?" and we had to ask for the list, which was not on our table. Napoli, shouldn't your severs be offering adults wine? 9. One regular sized meatball was served with the kids' meal of spaghetti - that is really skimpy, in my opinion. On the plus side, our server tried to be accommodating, refreshed our water adequately, etc. We were promptly and warmly greeted and promptly seated. All food was acceptable/good in flavor and served piping hot. The house-made Balsamic dressing is delicious. I tasted my grandson's spaghetti sauce and thought it was not the quality I expect from a good Italian restaurant - kind of tomato paste-y and unseasoned. The restaurant is extremely convenient, location-wise, for my family, but we do not feel motivated to ever go back. I think Napoli needs to up its game in many ways to survive in Washington, since we have so many fabulous dining choices at our disposal.

OK. I just finished my first meal at Napoli in Washington and am quite p!eased. The place is still pretty new (just opened last Sept??) and still has that shiny "new car" look. The staff was very attentive and or server, Victoria, was great. We ordered our entire meal at one time (I usually like to place the appetizer order first before ordering the entre) so our soup and salads showed up before our appetizers. As soon as I tasted the Seafood Bisque I regretted my order...... I wanted to cancel everything else and get another bowl of the soup. Worth the trip all by itself. Just be aware that it is only available 3 days a week - Sunday, Wednesday & Friday. The other four days of the week it's wedding soup (can you say road trip?). As for the main course, the pasta was done just right and the sauce was thick & flavorful - what more can I say? The portions are generous and everyone went home with tomorrow's lunch. There's not much on the desert menu but what they do have they do very well. I had the cannoli and it was crispy and bursting with mascarpone. Tasted "just made". I've been to quite a few places where you can tell it was filled much earlier and frozen. My sister in law had the tiramisu and said it was " dreamy" (whatever that means?). You could see the liqueur oozing out of the ladyfingers. I can only come up with two negatives - they were out of cream for the White Russian my brother wanted (a speciality item on the menu) and they really need to get an espresso machine! The Irish coffee was good, but I would have killed for a cappuccino after a big meal like that . Maybe knock it back to a 3.5 for those reasons. All in all very good. In the words of the Terminator... "I'll be back".

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
