A little far of a drive for most living in the lehigh valley however don't let that stop you. Worth the drive. Love there salads (hearty, full of vegtables plus bread) you will get your Money's worth here! Try there scallops (my favorite) and most of there desserts are made in house which is a plus.

Very good service. Excellent Italian food with some very good options. I got the crab ravioli and must admit it wasn't that great and didn't have much crab. I can't speak for the other dishes but my girlfriend's looked good. Nice outdoor seating. I will return. Fantastic service.

Great food, huge portions! It's BYOB so bring your favorite bottle of wine although a courtesy glass of wine is available if wanted. Our server Justin was a delight and I wish more servers had his sense of humor. The fried mozzarella appetizer is amazing. The sauce is to die for. I had the chicken st tropez. The portions are huge and it's delicious! Ask to see the dessert tray, you won't leave without a piece of something sweet and tasty! Be sure to make reservations for dinner. Keep up the great work Paolo and staff!

This past weekend I visited for the first time. Though the restaurant doesn't look fancy from the outside, it was very nice and comfortable. We started off with a chicken ravioli fantasy as the appetizer along with a glass of wine. It is a bring your own bottle establishment but the open it and pour it for you. On to the main dishes which were very generous portions. It was timed perfectly to where we were able to talk alittle after the appetizer but not too long that we were wondering where the food was. The food was so good where there wasn't much talking during dinner. After dinner they offer dessert which they bring out on a tray instead of having to look at a menu and they discuss what's in it and how it is made (we passed on the dessert cause of the large portion for dinner. I can't forget the staff. Everyone is friendly from the young lady at the door to the whole waitstaff. Each one seems to atleast smile to make you feel welcome. I will definitely be returning to dine in the future.

Absolutely excellent. Four of us went on 7/29. Service was superb. Food was even better - delicious veal saltibocca, parmisean etc. Serving size was beyond ample. This was our first time here, but will not be he last. It is at the top of a short list of good Pocono Restaurants.

Hard to find such fresh and high quality food in a relatively remote region (Poconos). We arrived at 5:10pm on a Sunday evening sans reservations, and were surprised (happily) to see that the dining room was practically full with more reserved tables expected. This level of quality definitely deserves the crowds! Extensive menu, with daily additions. The pasta I had with salmon, shrimp and scallops in a dijon marsala sauce was unique, savory and delicious. The fish was fresh and prepared perfectly -- the salmon was flaky and tender and not dry! Desserts were as delicious as we had hoped. Friendly service. An excellent overall experience, will be back for sure!

Just went last week again. 7/15. We try to go off hours as my husband refuses to wait. It was very good, in the middle of the week early. Our waitress was great, but when we were waiting for my cappuccino the hostess came over and asked if we got the check yet...really? I don't think the waitress needs help from the hostess knowing when to drop the bill at the table. She clearly had an agenda to get us out of there, even though there were empty tables and we were at a small table of two. We dropped $100 and I don't appreciate getting rushed out from the hostess.

Always a terrific meal. Paulo always makes sure his guests are well taken care of. The ravioli with sage butter was so savory and delicious and the crab stuffed mushroom appetizer is the best Ive ever had. A full meal is going to cost you, but it's a great place to go for a really nice night out. They make sure that your meal is expertly prepared and insist, for example, that the tuna is prepared rare. Never disappointed and always leave with leftovers.

A Ca Mia is a rare gem! 6 of us had dinner there Friday night and every meal was amazing. I had veal oscar and a side of penne with vodka sauce. I can even begin to describe it... Amazing! My husbad had fettuccine alfredo with shrimp and scallops. His words were "Finally, someone knows how to cook fettuccini right!". Everyone in our party raved about their meals. Our server, Sue, was an absolute sweetheart. And the dessert tray... 18 choices! I had the key lime pie with a graham cracker crust, made in house - it was light, airy and the perfect ending to my meal. My husband had a triple chocolate cake that was pure heaven. This is Italian cooking at its finest. Chef Paolo is fabulous! Definitely put this on your list of places to eat! They book fast so make your reservation 2-3 weeks in advance... That is how good they are! They are a BYOB which is just an added bonus.

Owner of famous Paolo's Italian in Northampton PA has opened this restaurant and it is highly highly suggested. almost any dish you choose with ingredients you like will probably end up being near the top of the best versions youve had of that dish. also the before dinner bread is incredible and amazing with garlic and olive oil dipping sauce.

If you are craving authentic first class Italian fare, go to this restaurant. The food is delicious and plentiful. You can really tell the chef/owner KNOWS how to cook and he loves to cook. The dishes offered are very descriptive on the menu but you can close your eyes and point to anything and you will leave smiling and dreamy full. I can't wait to go back. The dinner is an experience not just going out to eat for average Italian cuisine offered anywhere in the Lehigh Valley. This food is sumptuous. My dad had the short ribs braised in red wine with polenta. Outrageous, even heated up the next day. I had the artichoke app, lightly fried for crispiness served with a fantastic cheese sauce. For my entrée I had bowties with a yummy pink sauce. It had ham, cheese, chicken and mushroom in it. Even the dinner salad was crisp, fresh with homemade dressing served with homemade bread and oil infused with herbs and garlic. Just a little extra touch that makes this place very special. LOVE LOVE LOVE this restaurant. Get a reservation most nights. The valley has found it's destination restaurant. I wish you continued success. Don't change a thing.

So we went to A Ca Mia on saturday march 7th ... We tried for a reservation at 7:00, but they told us the earliest table they had was at 8:00... Thank God we had a reservation... don't even think of going to this place on a weekend without a rez... there were at least a dozen tired looking souls sitting around their little lobby area praying that something would open... but to their credit, with our rez, they sat us as soon as we walked in... they were very attentive, and Katie our server was outstanding... So the menu's huge... and then they have a "Chef's Favorites Menu", and then they had about 5 Specials... I was amazed at our waitress Katie's ability to recite the details of the specials!!! they bring you a nice basket of fresh warm rolls and small bowl of oil with just a tad too much garlic... why does this obsession with "more garlic is better" keep hanging on??? turns out they use soybean oil for this... but on request, they brought us some olive oil "without the garlic..." that was really nice touch... This place is byob, so we brought a bottle of Chianti along... i don't mind the byob at all, as long as you know ahead of time... and you save a couple of bucks... So we started out sharing an order of their Coconut Shrimp as an appetizer... There were four large pieces of shrimp on a plate of lettuce layered with diced pineapple and red grapes... and while the shrimp was large, the coconut breading was soggy... it was "just ok"... but around here, if you're gonna charge $12.99, for an appetizer, i would expect better control on the quality... the soggy coconut breading made this dish hard to enjoy... The dinners came with house salads... we tried their Balsamic, and their Gorganzola... Both the salads and the dressings were average, but they do offer both fresh grated parmesan and freshly ground peppercorns... So my wife ordered the Eggplant Rollatini Alle Veronese (14.99)... Three nicely sized rolls of pretty typical eggplant rollatini, stuffed with ricotta, spinach and asparagus, topped with mozzarella and baked in tomato sauce...it was actually pretty good, but again slightly over-done with the garlic... they charged us an extra $2.99 for olive oil instead of tomato sauce on the pasta side dish... i've never run into that before... I had the Sachette Paolino (16.99) off of their "favorites menu". It's a cheese filled tortelloni sautéed with shitake mushrooms, portabella mushrooms, snow peas, and asparagus in a wild mushroom truffle white wine cream sauce, smothered in nuts and parmesan cheese... It's a good dish, well thought out, and I'll give 'em credit for this - they didn't skimp on the mushrooms!!! I like mushrooms, but in my opinion, much like the garlic mentioned earlier, the dish lacked subtlety... So the food was pretty good, the portions were huge, we took more then half our entrees home with us, and a nice piece of chocolate cake (6.99) for later that night... Our bill came to $58 before the tip (did i mention Katie was outstanding???) The ambience is a little lacking here... You leave with the feeling that this place is more about function then style... more about quantity then quality... They have a full page in the menu devoted to your "allotted time at the table"... They're obviously successful, the place was packed... they should put a little more money into decor... Overall i think these guys are trying to do way too much here... It's obvious they're Good Cooks, but the menu's way too big, and hence, i think they loose a little attention to detail... and that's the difference between good and great... but still, i give them four stars... they're far better then 80% of the restaurants in the area... and we'll definitely go back... but not for another year, it'll take that long for the garlic to wear off!!!

Finally went to A Ca Mia with the family. Got calamari, fettuccine alfredo with shrimp, shrimp scampi, chicken asparagus primavera and baked ziti. So I know we're in the minority but we weren't impressed. The wait was long and the food average. The service, however, was fantastic. It was very cold out but nice and warm inside. It wasn't overly noisy as some have reported, even though it was busy. Garlic rolls had lots of garlic and little flavor. Had much better calamari at Maggiano's Little Italy and Emeril's Italian Table. Shrimp scampi had lots of big shrimp, but no flavor in the sauce. The other three dishes were better, but nothing above average. I was fairly disappointed in the all the sauces. Yes, the portions were huge and if that is what matters to you, knock yourself out here. For the money, I would rather go to elsewhere.

Amazing Italian cuisine for a great price. BYOB helps keep costs down as well. The portion sizes at this place are unbelievable. I got the half size portion of the Chicken Florentine and it was easily enough for two. I can't imagine what the full size looked like. Make sure you call ahead because this place tends to get packed. Don't let the location deter you from visiting. It's worth the drive.

Amazing! Can I just write that 40 times!! Perfect from moment we walked in. Got a table quickly. BYOB. .. waiter right there with wine glasses, offering water. Bread is fresh and delicious. Fresh herbs and oil are great. The salads and homemade balsamic off the charts. Entrees offered different tastes, fresh ingredients and a wonderful mix of flavors. We both got specials and were not disappointed. Only tiny issue is that the small size and hard surfaces make it a bit liud. Otherwise, 5 stars for sure.

Thank you Paolo for the many years of good meals! My wife and I have been loyal customers at both the Old Paolo's of Northampton and now A Ca Mia! Paolo provides absolutely top notch home made gourmet meals at a good price point. His wait staff are excellent and held to the same high standard that Paolo holds himself. For the quality of the food, service and atmosphere I have yet to find a better choice for a great meal in the Lehigh Valley. Kudos to a true professional! Try the Chicken LoLo which is fantastic but make sure to save room for the many wonderful deserts!

If you liked Paolo's in Northampton, you'll love A Ca Mia! The portions are still huge, the staff is friendly and the food is delicious. If you go on a weekend, you'll have to wait. Reservations are recommended a week in advance. (I had to wait, and wish they had a bigger waiting area). If you want good Italian food is that isn't a chain as Buca or Olive Garden, in a nice quiet and relaxed atmosphere, you gotta try it here.

Paolo you seem to really outdo yourself once again. My family absolutely loves the food here. Everything is so fresh and I can tell you always use fresh herbs and spices because the food is mouth-watering. Our server was attentive and always aimed to please. Katie, I believe was her name. She did an excellent job and we are extremely happy that we got her as a server. Paolo, I would have LOVED to give you 5 stars but the only thing stopping me was your hostess. I found her to be very rude and indifferent. She's definitely losing you business. Other than that the night was a success. I will be back within the near future and hope to give you all the stars that your establishment so rightfully deserves.

The menu is so huge, tons of different choices. Everything tastes homemade, and I do believe it is homemade. From the rolls to the dipping oils, to the house salad dressing. Used to love his restaurant in Northampton, and now he's cooking two miles away from me. We took 8 people out to dinner with us, and everyone was pleased with their meal. I see other people complaining about waiting...what does that tell you about the place? Plan ahead, make a reservation, and enjoy! Would love for them to have outdoor seating one day, and maybe expand and add some booths. Great job A Ca Mia and staff. Will be back soon!

BEST ITALIAN FOOD IN THE AREA! I was worried because the menu is so large, that quality could take a back seat. Fugggget a bout it! The server racked off special after special without missing a beat. She was a machine. The lamb appetizer was sublime with the grilled polenta cakes. The sausage and peppers were the bees knees. The sauce was homemade and it was obvious that lots of time was put into the cooking. I asked for gnocchi instead of pasta. What I got was nuggets of goodness....fresh spinach gnocchi!! I was in heaven. It rocked all phases. Will be returning...again and again and again. The complimentary glass of wine was a nice touch!

Lots of vegetarian options outside of your standard red sauce and primavera. I enjoyed the gnocchi with artichoke and peppers and am looking forward to my next trip up to try the mushroom sauce. Well worth the drive up from Bethlehem.

Went for dinner with the family just after Christmas. They have an extensive menu. Our group ordered the bolognese sauce with the angel hair pasta and the meat sauce with meatballs. Both were excellent! I highly recommend this place. Be sure to come with a good appetite because the portions are ginormus!

Easily one of the best meals I've had out since moving to the state seven years ago. The local area is sorely lacking in quality dining and sadly many locals don't even realize how bad the Italian food is so the bar remains low. Don't get me started on the pickles served in all the "antipasto" salads around here. None of that nonsense here. The wait staff was excellent. The menu was ample and full of authentic Italian offerings. The calamari appetizer was tasty and not rubbery. I would have preferred some tentacles instead of just rings but it was very good. My husband had a tuna steak special and I had the chicken francais. Portions were large and both were very good! Served with a side salad full of fresh ingredients. No bagged or iceberg lettuce. The dressing was from scratch and excellent as well. We didn't have room for dessert but we couldn't resist. The key lime pie was more of a cheesecake and my husband inhaled it. I had the amaretto flan which would have been perfect but the carmel sauce was burnt and therefore bitter but I ate it all anyway. We'll be back soon!!

I would've given them 5 Stars but the fact that for the weekend you must make a reservation at least a week in advance, in my case it was more than a week and yet I had to wait almost a 1/2 an hour before I could get my reserved table which wasn't even the table I reserved anyways. To make up for the wait the hostess did bring around right out of the oven Garlic Rolls. But My arms folded appearance got us in shortly thereafter. OMG ! Regardless of the hassle of the wait this place is fabulous ! You are better off trying them out on a weeknight as opposed to a weekend. The Service: Prompt and Courteous The Ambiance: Casual and the open kitchen is very cool, I was actually pleased with getting that table. Kinda loud but not earth shattering either. The Food: Everything and I mean everything tasted home made. They brought us fresh baked bread with garlic and oil & fresh herbs and oil. The bread alone was amazing. We tried the Homemade Mozzarella Sticks (which were more like Balls) as an appetizer. They are a Bocconcini of fresh mozzarella lightly breaded sauteed in butter with a tomato couliss (fresh pureed) tomato sauce. Everything tasted fresh and homemade from the cheese to the bread crumb to the sauce. We both got a super fresh garden salad with the house Vinaigrette, again tasting homemade one of the best salad dressings ever. Jess tried the Tortelloni Cremonesi which had Tortelloni and sauteed chicken, ham, mushrooms and caramelized red onions in a gorganzola white wine cream sauce. Which I thought was good but my meal was tops. My meal was the Homemade Manicotti with ricotta, fresh herbs, ham, mozzarella and the surprise addition of asparagus. Again everything from the pasta to the cheese, to the sauce was flavorful & most definitely homemade. I am assuming from saying how amazing the meal was we were offered a complementary glass of wine each ( which we passed up, we don't drink) and they don't have a liquor license yet. Unless they do that with everyone I don't know. We topped the meal off with dessert to celebrate Jess's 31st a few days in advance. She got Amaretto Flan & I had Caramel Apple Cheese Cake. lot of 5 star reviews for this place, unsure why. out with my parents for my moms birthday. there was a good wait time, and the tables are practically on top of each other. we tried waiting outside since it was so busy in the front inside.. of course annoyingly loud speakers made an otherwise peaceful bench outside aggravating. very loud inside, since its always packed and youre right next to everybody. I ordered tortellini alfredo I believe.. basic pasta dish that was decent but nothing spectacular. large servings that youll definitely have to take home with you. my parents liked their dishes, I gave them my leftovers. it wasn't bad, but they need to expand the size of the seating. or perhaps set up a few room type dividers. the dull roar of 100 people conversing and laughing in a very small restaurant got to me.

I rate this restaurant a very solid three star, I would rate it higher but the ambiance and accoutrements of the decor were quite plain and lacked any theme. I stopped by because the place always looked crowded. Service and food were extremely good and a great value for the relatively low price paid. The soup and pasta dish I ordered seemed home-made, authentic, fresh, and not over-cooked. Not bad for a converted strip mall hall. It was easy to see why there is a crowd here all week long.

Dinner reservations were made weeks in advance. Waited 15 min until our table was ready not a problem. Great server, great dinner terrible HOSTESS! Immediateally upon receiving the bill the hostess came over to collect. The HOSTESS, very unprofessionally remarked there is a two hour llimit on the table, you should have been told when you booked your reservation and you are WAY OVER two hours. I asked the hostess" what time is it "and she just kept repeating "you are way over the two hour limit". I understand that the table needs to be turned over for other guests however our party of nine way seated 15 minutes late and we hadn't even been there 90 minutes. You have a great product however your front of house needs to go to etiquette school. I would have rated the restaurant five stars however customer service is just as important as a great meal.

This was my first time at A Ca Mia and I thoroughly enjoyed everything. The appetizers were delicious and large enough to share. Entrees come with a soup or salad and are also generously portioned. Almost all of us brought home what we couldn't finish. They have many dessert options as well, but chances are you won't have any room. Our waitress was very knowledgable and personable. We will definitely be returning!

Been here once so far, and going again soon. A nice place in a weird location (almost empty strip mall), and judging by the parking lot, they are doing OK - it's always full! The food is good - we went with 4 people and everyone enjoyed their meal and at least 2 of us took some home, so decent portions. Everything seemed fresh which was really nice - no canned veggies as far as I could see. I am a tough judge - so 3 stars is probably 4 from anyone else We're going back again soon so I will review again after my second visit. Second visit done... and maybe even better than the first visit. Some of the stuff is pricey, but all of it is good quality. Again, very fresh ingredients. Everyone was very happy with our meals. Our server was unbelievable- there are like 100 things on the menu and we asked her questions on 4 totally random dishes and she knew all about each sauce or the ingredients, etc. They were quite attentive overall - there are about a dozen people working there (maybe 18-20 tables), so they're never far away. The steal of the night was the chicken florentine - one of our party got a 'small' portion of this beautiful dish, and it was a huge pile of food. Two chicken breasts with lots of veggies and sauce over pasta. (Large is three breasts!) It was enough for two people, and it was only $11 !!!!!!!! Other dishes were $24 and not as big/beautiful (but all were good). And we all took a good amount of food home - the chicken florentine was enough for another whole dinner! Overall, a lot of good food for reasonable prices (for what you get.) THIRD VISIT.... been a while, but still big portions and good food. Prices have crept up a bit, I think, but still good value, especially if you go with some of the more basic entrees. Salmon is expensive, but nicely presented. Fettucini Alfredo got a 'thumbs up' from a self-proclaimed expert. Seafood over linguini was quite tasty and a lot of shellfish. Mushrooms over pasta was OK, a bit nondescript. Sauteed veggies over pasta was huge and colorful. Desserts were very nice, esp. the tiramisu. Not cheap, but good. One comment below resonates... the menu is too big. Takes 10 minutes just to look at all the names, then there's a 'permanent specials' list that is a few pages stapled together, then there are 3-4 specials that the waitress recites. It is overwhelming and can cause analysis paralysis. And even though people are always saying you get so much food for your money (true), it still is not cheap.... when the bill comes, it's usually $30 a person after beverages, entree, dessert. Add in some appy's and it could be more. Still a great dinner at a nice place with very nice people!

Consistent food and service. Garlic rolls are excellent. Huge portions, never any room for dessert. We usually get one pasta dish and one of the specials. Reservation or call-ahead will save you about a 45 minute wait at least. BYOB.

This place is unbelievable! SO DELICIOUS! Freshest and best qualifty meats and seafood! Homemade rolls and they keep on brining them! The 3 menus plus specials have more choices than i have ever seen. Make a reservation! You will need it. Even on a Sunday it's crowded. The portions are enormous - enough to take home for another meal (which is great because it all tastes perfect even reheated!). BYOB helps keep cost down - but prices are really reasonable to begin with.

Paolo's closed and apparently reopened as A Ca Mia. Same fabulous and enormous dishes, same desserts, and still BYOB. Fantastic true Italian food, this is no Olive Garden, this is the real deal. I would highly recommend the Sachetti Paolino. Another tip is to ask for the herbed oil when they bring you the basket of nice warm bread. There is a sandwich and salad menu, and a full dinner menu with a huge selection. Consider sharing a pasta entree, they are easily 2 servings. Finish dinner off with a selection from the dessert tray, tasty cheesecake!

Went to A Ca Mia for dinner and everything was delicious!! Food was delicious - had the duck raviolis and veal Oscar. Highly recommend both. Definitely plan on eating at A Ca Mia again and as frequently as possible.
