Had a pretty good lunch here on a recent Saturday afternoon. I ordered the rotisserie chicken which they were out of after requesting a beer they were out of, so not off to a good start. But I had the chicken parm with angel hair pasta and a cup of wedding soup...both decent. I liked the atmostphere/character of the old building. I would give the place a four but the bartender/waitress was void of anything closely resembling a personality. I always wonder why people who don't appear to like people get jobs working with the public.

I enjoyed the Titlow travern - the atmosphere was very nice and old timey. A good pub feel with a good dining area counts for a great deal. We were in town on business and this was my best dining experience (out of four). The food at Titlow is in the three start range. Uniontown has a limited selection of places to eat - primarily chains. I had a seared Tuna Cesar salad - the tuna was over cooked, but not too terribly. I was impressed with the large portion of tuna for the price. The wedding soup was good. An artichoke soup I tasted was also good.

Bar side is smoking, so if you're sensitive to that they have a restaurant side. I had a cheesesteak, and being from the Philly area I must say while it doesn't compare to Pats or Genos, it's damn good for a Uniontown joint. Service was very friendly!

The family went in for the Thursday special $2. half pound burgers and was especially disappointed. They lure you in with the special, then overcharge for everything else. 7.00 garden salads, 5.00 for fries, etc. Left with a $100 dinner bill for 6 people. To make matters worse, the service was non existent and they messed up our bill. Avoid altogether and go to Meloni's across the street.

Great historic place to eat good food. Neat old hotel with marble entrance, fireplace and chandeliers. 3 different and unique eating areas with lots of antiques and old photos of the place and Uniontown. Friendly staff, good service and good food. A nice place for a great meal!

We went there to eat with my dad and grandmother when we were in town on Sat. March 5. The owner came outside, stopped traffic and helped us park since my grandmother uses a walker and the parking lot was a little ways from the door..not bad but too far for her. He even offered us a tour of the place..he is a great business owner. The server, whose name I forget, was super and our food was also very good. Very nice little place to eat..several dining areas and a very nice tavern.

I wish I could give half stars. This place is not perfect but it's pretty darn close. I was invited to and went to my niece's first art show and my sister took us to dinner after. She chose the place and away we went. This place is a little gem in the heart of Uniontown. It is located in a big old historic building. There is beautiful stained glass and wonderful old wood. There is also a nice little parking lot located right next door. We were seated immediately ( going on the restaurant side) and were waited on fast by a friendly and knowledgeable waitress who was prompt and offered great advice on their dishes and specials. We ordered an app, the fried calamari. It was great, lightly breaded and not overly greasy. Me n my sis chose their spinach and apple salad with fried goat cheese balls and a homemade, warmed bacon vinagarette. Firstly I could eat a billion fried goat cheese balls. Lightly breaded with a warm shell and smooth inside with the goat cheese being smooth and mild. It was, by far, the best salad I have had at a restaurant. And the dressing warmed which at first threw me off a little but my, oh my, the bacon paired with the goat cheese and apples and spinach, yummy! I will crave those goat cheese balls. My niece chose the eggplant parmesan and loved it. And the portion size was huge. My sister's bf got a jerk chicken sandwich and liked the spice and flavor. For dessert I chose the special, a chilled double layer pineapple upside down cake that contained walnuts and maraschino cherries. Sweet and rich but so good. I scraped the plate. The niece got the cheesecake with fresh berry compote. The cheesecake was light but rich paired with the compote, wow, so good. Great service, great food, and even better company!

Ate there the other day with my girlfriend. Have to give an average review. Food did not wow us at all, but was not terrible. Service was spectacular however although it wasn't crowded. Restaurant was cold as well. Overall, a good lunch place but doubt id go there for dinner.

Well let me begin with.... The staff wasn't very friendly! Maybe they were overwhelmed because the amount of people in the bar area was more than they have ever had before, I'm not sure. When we asked for menus we got the dining room menu which was fine but we wanted wings... The bartender gave us a look like 'ugh' and said he had to get us one of the other menus. After we ordered he warmed up a little though. We ordered two orders of wings and potato skins.... It took over 25 minutes to receive. Three of the four potato skins were so burnt they were black and one was almost undercooked, how does hat happen?!?!!?! Needless to say, we were NOT impressed. Oh yeah I almost forgot, if you're my going to spend $20 bring cash or they'll tell you they can't run your card! So annoying.

I'm so immature. I can't say the name of this restaurant without chuckling, giggling, or smirking. Anyway, the food is good and they have a wide selection ranging from steaks to Italian. You can pretty much get anything you want. I had the crabcakes, but they were waaaay too salty for me, but did have a lot of crabmeat. Full bar and great service. They did a rootbeer float for me, no problem, even though that wasn't on the pre-selected dessert menu for our group. Titlow's. Hehehe.

Jeff DeMayo runs one of the better Italian places I've eaten at over the years. The kitchen has had its hits and misses ,but for the most part ,it's a winner. Cheap and tasty with a large menu to choose from. Among my favorites is a portabella mushroom appetizer that is basically a French onion soup tasting concoction with hot Italian peppers that is smothered in a provolone cheese melt. Great pizza and custom marinara sauces (I get xtra garlic and hot peppers for an arrabiata taste). Great funky atmosphere and good looking waitresses complete the cycle for a win win situation. Only negative is the wine list bites and they have a tendency serving opened wine that has oxidized. This would be a good candidate for Diners ,Drive Ins and Dives.

We frequented this establishment both nights while we were in Uniontown for a white water rafting trip. The first night we ate at the bar and got their hot wings and potato skins and a few beers--an enjoyable experience. The second night we returned earlier for a full sit down dinner and sat in the front room, beside the main bar. I had an excellent piece of fish, which always amazes me when being so far from the coast; Not only was the fish well cooked and prepared, but it was impressed at how fresh the fish seemed. On that note, their seafood menu is pretty impressive. The ambiance of this establishment, being in what appears to have been an old mansion, is very interesting with the way the various bars (3 in all, I believe) interconnect. A very nice place for an otherwise uninspired city.

Before I begin reviewing, I want everyone to know that I am a steak fiend and that there is nothing more satisfying than a New York Strip, perfectly seasoned, cooked medium-rare in a garlic-butter sauce. Titlow definitely gives off an ambiance of a proper steakhouse; very dark colors, dimly lit, and a lot of memorabilia representing most of the decor. Being that it feels like steakhouse, it is only natural to order a steak off the menu. I ordered a New York Strip grilled medium-rare, Titlow style (hot peppers, onions, and onions). Service is on the spot; I didn't find myself drinking my stomach full and was given my steak in a timely fashion by a very attractive waitress. I really wanted to like this place. I really did. When I pay $20 for a steak, I expect a steak that is significantly better than what I can make at home. Don't get me wrong, the steak isn't bad; it was perfectly cooked and had a good texture, but it lacked effort to make it a great steak To keep things short, they had a quality New York Strip cooked perfectly well but failed to anything remarkable with it; anyone can cook a well-cooked steak seasoned with salt and pepper, but it only requires a little more effort to make a rather plain steak into something remarkably flavorful and delicious. I had a hard time giving this place a review, but it ultimately broke down to this: If Ruby Tuesday can deliver a better steak for less than $20, can this really be a great steak? Would I come here again? Possibly, but I would definitely try something else on the menu.
