Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. About Applebee's
Applebee is an American full-service restaurant brand popularly known for its signature Riblets. Applebee was conceptualized in 1980 by Bill and TJ Palmer in Atlanta, Georgia. At first, the restaurant was named T.J. Applebee's RX for Edibles and Elixirs. After the concept was acquired by W.R. Grace and Company, the restaurant was renamed as Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar. Later the company and the Applebee's concept changed hands with Abe Gustin and John Hamra who started the first Applebee's franchise restaurant in Kansas City.
Later in 2007, IHOP Corp. now known as DineEquity, Inc. acquired Applebee's and began their journey together to make Applebee's the world's largest full-service restaurant chain. Today, Applebee's serves at more than 1,830 locations worldwide. The Applebee's menu ranges from Appetizers and Salads to heavy meals consisting of ribs and steak. This location is hit or miss... Tonight was a miss. Food was cold and vegetables were barely cooked. I've had this happen before here. Other times the food is good... Also, don't like the new 2 for $20 menu. Not as many god choices...

Came here at 8:30 on a Saturday night and it was pretty full, but they still got us a booth. The place was decorated for Halloween, which I really liked! However, it was super dim in there. Like hard to read the menu dim. I'm a college kid, so the half priced appetizers after 9 and 2 for $20 is a big draw for me! Our waitress was nice but barely there. Not a lot of personality either. I got the 2 for $20 deal and split it with my friend, and we got the spinach and artichoke dip (yummm, but could have been a bit hotter), the oriental chicken salad, and the brushetta chicken. The salad was really good, and the brushetta chicken was my favorite. A piece of grilled chicken sat on top of fried onions, red peppers, and potato wedges on the side. On top was cheese and tomatoes. It was really tasty. The two for $20 is an awesome deal, you get HUGE, full sized portions. We asked for boxes, and the waitress gave us a half sized box. It only fit half of our salad in it. Also, she left our huge appetizer plates on the table the whole time, so we barely had room for our other plates. The worst part was we were near the hostess stand, where we could see her just standing there and chatting with her coworker. Rude! The manager did come by and ask if we needed anything, which was nice. The only thing that would get me back here is the 2 for $20.

Chain restaurants have standards for each location opened. I can attest that this one does not meet the standards. For one, our waitress was Nutrasweet at best, meaning she fakely polite. When I ordered an Angry Orchard, she scoffed and asked for my ID. She then barely glanced at it, and asked, "Is this even real? Should I bother swiping it?" She then carried it off, showed it to another server while laughing, and swiped it. It was, of course, a real ID. She practically threw the drink at me and took our dinner orders. We both ordered burgers. My brother asked for well-done, to which she parried with a 5 minute chorus of "Pink? Or no pink? Pink means it's pink inside. Do you want it pink?" No, madame, he wants it well done. Even an idiot should know that a well done piece of beef, ground or otherwise, has no pink inside. I asked for it medium, engaging in another parry of "pink or no pink". I took the time to explain that I wanted it MEDIUM, meaning some pink. She scoffed and tossed her hair, saying that the kitchen would want to know if it was pink or no pink. I'm positive that the kitchen would understand what a medium burger meant, but I gave up and said no pink to avoid getting a rare or blue burger. When the meal arrived, it was drowning in grease. I had asked for no pickles, but it seemed that she had written down "extra pickles". Overall, the experience was one of the worst and most embarrassing that I've had. The amount of grease sliding off of our meals would have been enough to deep fry an entire cow. Even Whitecastle isn't as greasy. I will not set foot in this location again.

A chain restaurant that offers the same menu at each one. The decor is casual with some pieces of the general location. They have a bar and usually have some unique cocktails. The service is always great and the food is average. Off hours not nearly as busy.

Another restaurant that im forced to give a star to. Came up from NY to see the father in law and take him to lunch. Made the mistake of choosing applebees. Should have seen the warning signs no entrance from front street have to enter parking lot from back that's telling you something.orderd blt sandwich which comes with soup.Out comes the blt no soup but bacon covered with cheese. I didn't want my bacon wrapped with cheese sent it back they brought out another one. the bacon was so hard you could have mistaken it for leather its almost summer I don't need a coat the fries were like a salt lick you buy these fries for 3 bags for a dollar and empty a box of salt on them just unedible reminded the waitress about the soup its part of the lunch special she had to look on check to see I was right brought soup out remember this is after the aufull main course and that had cheese on it. if I wanted cheese I would have gone to wisconson not pa don't know how the father in law liked his lunch he has dementia so just ate and smiled a perfect applebees cust next time I see an applebees my car will keep on going

Menu seems to be getting better-- more healthy fare. Staff always very nice. Like that the bill can be paid at the table with the little computers. Also can reorder drinks. Will go back again.

Had a good dinner here with the family.

Wait staff is always friendly and have never been otherwise. I know it's a chain, and I'm not gonna knock em for it. The kids love it, though they only give one crayon with the otherwise boring kids menu (I like to color sometimes too). Love the boneless wings. The Sizzle Plates are pretty good too. The beer is cold! Kids love it! Price is low! And the service is great!

My mother wanted to go here for her birthday dinner. I ordered a steak, rare. It looked the same as the one she ordered well done. I sent it back. The replacement came out after everyone else had already finished. It was rare - still cold and too grisly to eat. They did take it off the bill, but dinner was pretty much ruined. Will not be going back.
