Love the food. Have had an issue with getting exactly what I ordered, but overall great food, great milkshakes, and great atmosphere. It is a little small though.

I was really hungry and looking for something that's not hotel food to eat. The setting was not what I expected, I guess i was thinking more like "Ruby Tuesdays". Either way, as we say "nothing spoil". I had the bacon cheese burger. Smalls fries. What surprised me was that the burgers are all double patties. I am not a burger/meat eater like that. So when I got home I just removed one patty and ate the other. Burger was pretty good. I can't say best thing ever but not bad. I was more impressed with it than 5-guys burger..so there. I def prefer the fries here as well.

Way overpriced for mediocre burgers. So over-sauced it was near inedible. For the price you'd get a higher quality dining experience at a place like Red Robin. For the same quality of food, go to Wendys - cheaper and more delicious.

A throwback burger joint without the "throwback". Burgers here are really pretty good though. The service was friendly as well. However. The fries here pretty much suck. Taste frozen, probably are. I've had the milkshakes before and they were tasty.

It's a burger place. One of the other reviewers mentions that she thought it would be more like "Ruby Tuesday's". She must be high, or just dumb. Burgers are a notch or two above everything on this strip of Route 30. Fries are quite good. My suggestion would be that, if you go here, try some of the less mundane menu offerings. Clean, and well run. Prices are higher than the local competition (Wendy's, Burger King, McDonalds), but the product is superior so that's fine. Ruby Tuesdays?? Really? REALLY??

Great little place in a strip mall. Burgers are fresh and the buns are light and fresh. You can add various toppings to ' make it your way.' Very friendly staff and will guide you through the menu. A definite 'thumbs up. '

Small place in a strip mall but the food is good, a nice notch better than typical fast food. Nice selection of burgers, hotdogs, fries, and more. Free soda refills. They call your name when it's ready. And the place is friendly and clean. Just needs beer...

Nothing special. People compare this place to Five guys and I would say that comparison is not even close. These burgers are just ok. I had a restaurant.com voucher which is why I came here. I wouldn't return without one because it's not worth it.

Typically good food and service however we visited there 6pm on a Friday and got low quality food and service. They even forgot our fries and I had to go all the way back and didn't even get a "sorry". Don't go during rush hour traffic

Hey! This place was better than I expected. It seems to be modeled on a Five Guys type experience - small menu with burgers made to order, some hot dogs, shakes, and whatnot. The burger was pretty good - fairly juicy, tender beef, toasted bun. It's not as good as Five Guys, which is a gold standard in my book, but it is better than anything you would get at TGIChiliBees. It's definitely great for us in the Thorndale area, if I don't want to make the haul down trafficky 30 bypass to Exton for a Five Guys, I will no doubt hit up Jake's to satisfy the craving. Oh, and the Onion Rings were Bangin'.

Came here because we had a Groupon. Loved it, it was delicious! The owner, Bert seems to truly enjoy his job! Only complaint-$2.19 for a side order of fries, it was a pretty small order.

Striving to reach mediocrity. Cheese on the burger wasn't melted and the bun seemed as if right out of the fridge. Fries weren't bad. Can't imagine what would bring me to try this again. Jake's needs to be wayback somewhere else.

This place kinda sucked overall. It took almost 20 to 25 mins to get our food. We weren't the only ones either as everyone waited for quite a long time. We got our burger and buffalo chicken sandwich first and our cheese fries came out to us well after we finished them. The burger was nothing special for a burger joint. The chicken sandwich was actually better. Both were extremely small and there was like nothing to it. Cheese fries were good since they use real cheese which is always a plus. I probably won't be back. The place took too long and food wasn't really that good.

Their homemade chips are awesome - not oversalty and greasy! Burgers okay I prefer 5 guys but this is closer to home. Never had fries so I can't rate those. O-rings too thick...not homeade prob frozen supplier...not getting again. Their orange cream shake is my fav since McD artic orange is too sweet and gaggy. Prices a little high IMO so I don't go too often.

Quick summary: This place is amazing, go there and get a Burger, fries and shake! The food is freshly cooked to order and the staff is friendly. Long review: Ordered lunch to go, Tuesday Feb. 24: I'm a Burger snob and while I've heard of this franchise for many years, this was my second visit to this location. With the new store smell still present, the paint on the walls have barely dried. I believe this is their 7-8th week open. This is your typical Burger joint selling Burger essentials: Burger, fries, onion rings, chicken and milkshakes make up the menu here. I have to admit, however, the food is less greasy than 5 guys and better tasting! For this visit, I kept it basic: a single cheeseburger with small fries & drink. If you are not familiar with Jake's, everything is cooked to order - therefore its ideal to call ahead if you take it to go. When I first called in, the opening greeting.g politely asked for me to be placed on hold. Typically the hold button will queue up some hold music or latest promotion the restaurant offers. Instead, I heard what the customers who were waiting in line were ordering. About a minute later, the cashier took my order. "In about 10 minutes" concluded the conversation. The time was fine, I was driving in from dropping off lunch for my wife. I arrived there 20 Minutes from the initial call for the order and it was just brought up, bagged and ready to go. The food would have otherwise sat under a heat lamp until I arrived. The place was not too crowded but I can imagine the lunch crowd being a challenge; for two reasons: delicious cooked to order food and being the new kid on the block. Overall, this place is our new burger place! While I do not suggest ordering cheese fries to go because the cheese gets hard (they don't use the processed stuff! It's actual shredded cheddar cheese!). This puts 5 Guys burgers to shame and the local fast food places cant even compete with these guys. What's personally disappointing is that we waited this long to find a good burger place when another Jake's was about 6 miles away in Exton, and we never went in the 6 years living in the area.

Good little burger joint. Very much like a 5 guys. I used a groupon here to make it affordable. The burger combos are around $10 which is crazy. Still good though but not worth it without the groupon.
