The staff is ALWAYS friendly and kind. I had the veggie sandwich again today and each time it is very good with a nice pickle and baked chips. I am back on my diet today!!!! The Pittsburgh Mills Mall location is so convenient for me. I can park right at the door. plus free wifi. Thanks Panera for making it a great afternoon.

This place seems to always be busy, no matter what time of the day, or night, I'm there! Being attached to a large mall probably has something to do with that. However, despite the high number of customers, staff always seem friendly and the food is always ready fairly quickly. I did take one star away because it often seems a little cluttered and they would benefit from having staff in the eating areas more frequently, wiping down tables and sweeping the floor. The bathrooms generally seem clean, although I suppose I can only officially comment on the men's room! Good service, good food, and fair prices. For that, I can put up with a few crumbs on my table. Although I'd really rather not.

There are very few places that rank as 5 stars for me but this is one that falls into the small gap of success. They earn the 1st star for unbeatable Freshness. The Bread here is always fresh, perfectly cook, flavorful and holds consistency and bounce. The bread isn't too dry and isn't too moist leaving it at peak bread perfection. I can sometimes judge a place on food turn over based on the freshness of their avocados. May sound weird Right? But, in theory not weird at all. Avocados oxidize after being cut and prepped at an alarming rate. Their avocado is always bright vibrant lime green and holds its form, this tells me not only is it fresh but the food turnover rate is high, more customers means more food going out means more stock being turned and fresher ingredients. The 2nd star is earned by speed. Not only when I order here am I getting fresh food but also speedy service. My food comes out quick exactly how I order with hardly any hiccups. It's all the luxury of fast food without the dripping grease puddles. Fast is good when you only get 30 minutes for lunch breaks or just want to swing by and not waste the day. The 3rd star is earned due to staff. The staff here is friendly neat, clean, well groomed, helpful and kind. A lot of the staff consist of high school age kids or young adults that may be here working their 1st job. I'd say cheers to Panera for supplying great 1st jobs to this demographic, really teaching great work ethic and food cleanliness. The 4th star is for presentation. Panera takes time to present with consistency. The plating, be it in a TO-GO box or dining in, is always fresh and looks Great. It's almost become a right of passage or even statement to wonder the mall walkways with Panera in hand, EVERYONE seems to love them. The 5th star is for food. There is not one thing on the menu that I have tried and not loved. I really like the broccoli cheese soup with a beget, chicken bravo, sierra turkey, asiago steak, Cobb salads, fuji apple salads and so much more. I find the best deal is to go with the PICK TWO add a drink and get a bakery item for only 99cents. Its by far the best way to try different combinations of sandwiches, soups, flat breads, and salads. I always add their chocolate chip cookie its to die for GUH. If I could add a 6th star it would certainly be for freedom of seating. There are booths for privacy, seating outside, inside and all around the entrance; several bistro tables, so you can share a quiet lunch for two or just swing in by yourself. This place definitely has the best lunch and dining experience on lock down. I'm sure everyone has came here once or twice and can admit their simplicity is key. My only honest and truthful complaint is that I wish the food was cheaper so I could eat here more often.

Panera is my absolute favorite lunch spot. I love that the calorie counts are posted, so I can make wise choices. They do a great job of changing the menu, so there's always something new to try.

The strawberry, poppy seed, chicken salad was great. Also, the Berry smoothie was very tasty.

The atmosphere is pretty nice and I love how they set up all of the pastry items so you can see them all. Unfortunately, the cashier was talking in such a low voice I couldn't understand anything they were saying. I got the "You pick 2" with the smokehouse turkey panini and the cup of bistro French onion soup. The panini was extremely delicious, along with the soup. Although, the tea seemed very watered down and I don't they added any sweetener to it. Along, with the "you pick 2" I got a 99 cent pastry. I got the pecan roll and it was hard to chew and it was kind of stale. Above all, the set up is nice and it's a nice lunch date to go on. They have free wifi and it is very quiet as well.
