Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

I would have given them 5 stars but it's too small inside. Me and my bestest friend were in town for the Warrior Dash and needed some pre-race carbs. We were starving by the time we got there and were told it would be a 20 minute wait for a table, unless we wanted to sit outside on the deck. We were a little unsure about the deck but we were starving so we went for it. It was a chilly evening but we ended up having a wonderful outdoor dinner. The road noise was a little much but it didn't matter as our server, the hostess, was fabulous! We were treated like we were the only people in the joint. They give a ton of pasta and it was cooked like pasta should be cooked, not too mushy and not too stiff. I had the rigatoni pomodoro, minus the onion with a plum tomato sauce, yum! The sauce was terrific too! The bestie asked for and was given a gnocchi in a vodka cream sauce and loved it. This is not something on their menu so they were nice enough to accommodate a vegetarian. They gave us little salads to start and a wonderful bread basket. This place rocks! And the bakery, wow! The cookies are delicious, especially the lemon cookies:)!

We went for a weekday lunch. One waitress handling the whole place so service was a bit slow but considering, not bad. Lunch menu was limited. I ended up having a meatball/parm hero. It was good, not great. Huge portion so I took half home. Also had a side salad. It was tasty, but tiny for an extra $2.50. I wouldn't go back for lunch but will give them another chance and try dinner some time. Really looking for some good Italian. They are not open on Mondays which has kept us from going before since that is our normal day to go out.

I ordered one of their specials. The food was great. You can tell that everything was fresh! The staff was polite and attentive.

Seriously the best italian food and menu to hit the Pocono s in the 9 years I'm here. Small and quaint. Hope they grow to a better location, but food is really good. Lunch menu limited but affordable you will find something. I preferred the dinner menu.

Everything was excellent from the food to the service. My husband and I split a meal, and glad we did as the portions are HUGE! The rice balls appetizer was amazing, and our chicken Parmesan was one of the best I have ever had! Very good and I recommend this restaurant to anyone who love Italian.

Food was still excellent. Service, however, was another story. Our original waitress was AWFUL, however, once we complained, the owner came over & took care of it appropriately & had another young lady wait on us. He did the right thing & she was FAR superior to the other one, who, in my opinion, should be fired. They took a couple of items off the bill to make up for the issues, so they did the right thing. I'd definitely go back but if that waitress was still there, I'd be certain to not sit at her table.

I came here with my family on a weekday for lunch. We were the second table there upon arrival. Throughout our stay there, there were no more than 12 customers seated for lunch. We ordered the lunch special of the day, an eggplant hero, and a kid's penne with meatball. We waited over 45 minutes for the food to arrive. There was one really sweet server managing all the tables. As such, things such as extra napkins (which she kindly offered) and an extra plastic cup for the kids' soda, took extra long to come. The food once here, was excellent. I had to give this place 3 stars for the sloooooooowwww service. I'd love to come again if they could be more expedient.

A great find in the Stroudsburg area. I enjoyed visiting the mini Italian grocery section with fresh ingredients. They even have Manhattan Specials (drink)! Food was good, great variety along with reasonable prices. I will definitely return when I am back in Stroudsburg. P.S. DO NOT use the Yelp Direction option on your smartphone. It took me in the wrong direction. Take the address and plug it into your GPS or MAPS feature on your smartphone.

This was hands down the best Italian food we have ever had! We were traveling from Cleveland to NYC and voted on Italian for dinner. Checked in with Yelp and read reviews. I couldn't wait to add a review for this place! My daughter and I had penne vodka with their homemade sausage. 2 kinds of incredible sausage...pasta cooked to perfection and the best vodka sauce. Husband had ravioli Bolognese...all he could say was "awesome!" The homemade dipping oil was so fabulous this girl (who never eats the bread) had 3 slices! We were so full we declined desert but then wandered into the little attached shop and just had to each have a cannoli to go! Again...best ever! Just the right amount of cinnamon! Service was also excellent! If I could give them more than 5 stars I would! My only regret is that they aren't closer to home! Thank you all for such a wonderful experience!

Meh, I've experienced better. Somes it up. Had lasagna, tiramisu and cannoli. The lasagna was just edible. No distinctive flavor and heavy handed with the salt. I would not bother to order again. The Tiramisu, was good- but they skimped by putting 2/3 whipped cream on to an a tiny taste of the real thing on the bottom of the cup. Disappointing. The Cannoli was also good but not the best I have had. The place was not horrible and if you are not already spoiled by eating good Italian food, you will not be disappointed. Food is missing the passion of Italian cooking.

very disapointed with my meal here, i had the mushroom risotto with pork tenderloin, my pork was incredibly over cooked and very over seasoned... the risotto was a sad excuse for risotto.. cheap button mushrooms thrown in it and no mushroom stock was in the risotto you could clearly tell by the lack of mushroom flavor, i had high expectations going in from word of mouth but i do not see anything to rave about here...im hoping to go back soon to give it another chance hoping maybe they had an off night...

Amazing pastries, all made right there on the premises. Will have to get back there for dinner some evening.

Many thanks to Joe & Bill, catered a party of 70 people for my daughters baby shower. Couldn't have asked for more delicious food and better service. They came when they said, did a great job setting up and made sure everything was perfect before they left. Compliments to the chef, several people told me they went up for thirds. Will definitely use Pipolo's again.

My husband and I have been here several times and have yet to be disappointed. Service is great, food is wonderful, and nice variety of choices. Even took home some homemade sausage that was fantastic. Will definitely be going back!

Fresh deli products, house made Italian desserts, and great service. If your up in the bartonsville area... A must try... If your not.. Make the trip and try this place. I've been there dozens of times and have never been disappointed!

Stopped here for quick bite on a Fall afternoon. Had a delicious muffelatta sandwich on a great Italian roll. It's BYOB so we brought a couple of beers with us. Made sure to grab some fresh cookies from the deli on the way out. Tiny bite-size lindsor cookies that nicely crunch in your mouth. The waitress was friendly and perfectly attentive.

Food was terrible. Dessert would have been good if the icing was not as hard as a rock Waitress was sweet. One of the owners was there. Very unfriendly. Needs a personality transplant. Wont go back. will not recommend. i give it minus star.

Yum!! Being Italian I love Italian food. When this place opened up my family and I were so excited to try it! We actually got catering from them for my sister's graduation party and it was delicious! We take my grandparents here whenever they come up. Also their bakery items are very good! The only thing I don't like is that they don't have pignoli cookies! :( It is BYOB though! The last time I went I had pene vodka which was excellent. Cute little place right in the middle of town. Mostly locals I could image go here.

Excellent. If you are in the area the Tuscan soup was a great choice, and the sandwich special pulled pork was large and the roll was perfect. Service was fast and pleasant. Bakery had a great selection made on the property.

We came here today to take my father in law out to lunch for his birthday. Really good, really fresh food. Excellent service. The eggplant and prosciutto sandwich was delish. I would definitely come back!

Feel like I am in NYC and Little Italy. All the food is top notch, fresh, and tasty. Make sure to bring home some of the outrageous deserts-especially cannolis made to order.

You can't believe how great this place is. The food is top notch and super authentic. The portions ensure you won't leave hungry but watch out because the bakery is where this place kicks it into high gear. This is the only place I'll eat a cannoli outside of Arthur street in the Bronx.
