Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

This is totally a Yelp find as the hotel desk staff were no help in suggesting places to eat. Wow! The food here is delicious. I ordered the chicken parm on the suggestion of the owner/waitress/chef(?). The chicken is hand breaded with a light coating. The pasta is house made. The sauce is fantastic. The owner said everything is hand made including some desserts that sounded great. It's my first time to this area and I really don't know where I am as I followed my GPS from one area to another while visiting clients. However, if you are in the Stroudsburg (East Stroudsburg?) area, try this place. If it was located anywhere near my home in Baltimore, I'd be a regular. Parking is tight and I thought they were closed but am happy I noticed a couple of full tables. Wow!

Finally got around to trying this place a week or so ago and am remiss at not doing so long ago. If you are looking for great home cooked food, this is the place. Had the veal parmigiana that night and it spoke to me! Have eaten several meals since and can't express the quality of the food that I have received. Excellent!

Awesome food. Awesome people. Great service. It is a small restaurant but has delectable food and many options. Definitely worth checking out. The owners are genuinely concerned about you and are very attentive to your needs. Check it out.

We read about this place in literature given to us upon checking into our hotel so we decided to give it a try. Upon entering I have to say it didn't look all that inviting . It's quite small with only 8 tables. But the food makes up for the decor. Some, if not all, of the food is homemade. I had a corn flake battered fish sandwich, my wife had the French Dip and my son had a Rueben. Each came with delicious french fries. The food was very good and service was fast, but there were only two other tables in use. We would go back for the food. If you're looking for fancy decor this may not be for you, but if you want some good food give it a try.

Me and my girlfriend came late on a Tuesday night, we were the only ones there except for 1 employee, she took our order and went right to work. The stuffed mac and cheese bites (never had them like this place makes them, they were amazing), came out fresh from the oven and our waitress/chef went right back to the kitchen to make our other orders from scratch. Not only was the food impressive, but the woman working that night was very efficient, working by herself and made all of the food fresh. I'll be back to try some more dishes for sure.

What a little jewel! We pulled up and based on the outside I thought we made a mistake. But once inside and seated we were greeted by the owner and the great smells. We ordered and the food was wonderful. The owner was gracious and went out of her way to make us happy. A perfect way to end our day.

Update on the last time I was there we had dinner in late march after the Stroudsburg St. Patrick's parade and it was amazing, me and my gf had chicken Alfredo (great creaminess and garlickyness not heavy either just perfect), i had the meatball parmigiano the meatballs were perfect texture and super tender but kept form. Our experience as always was superb with an amazing trip through a delicous sea of flavor, our hostess super attentive as always, and the bread oh my goodness the bread was so fresh and perfect warmth just enough to spark the appetite. My mother also had chicken piccata which was a little light on the lemony but easily fixed with some fresh lemon squeezed over top which I say is a better way to serve it because it was so refreshing. But one incident where the chicken was slightly under done, our hostess was so quick to bring her a new one freshly put together the chicken perfectly cooked pasta was perfect our experience here has always been amazing and the food just as amazing this is a hidden diamond to be explored! And the best part is I finally a dessert and it was a pistachio cheesecake for my birthday there.....OH MY GOD the greatest cheesecake ever, super light and fluffy not solid and heavy you didn't feel guilty about indulging in something usually considered so sinful but it was like heaven in my mouth the flavor was just so amazing it cannot be described properly with words but weird sounds you produce in agreement of how good it is. I recommend this place to everyone I know.

First Time Visit and will return... By far one of the best kept secrets in the Pocono's. Food was phenomenal as well as the service. Friendly, Casual, and the Price is right on target... you leave not only feeling content from the culinary expertise of the meal, but also a fantastic value for what is offered... I will recommend this restaurant to ALL of my friends...

So needed a place for lunch on Palm Sunday as my boys go to school at ESU and they couldn't be home for the weekend. I did a search and this place got good reviews for fresh, quality food and great desserts. I told everyone it won't look like much but it got great reviews, the reviews were on point. Six of us walked in and Syliva greeted us and put a table together right away. She explained the specials, we ordered Mac and cheese balls and fried mozzarella they were great. Mac and cheese was creamy inside, crisp outside. The mozzarella was thick, fresh and not greasy. It took a bit of time for our entrees to come but we didn't mind as it gave us time to talk and watch what others had ordered. Everyone's dishes looked yummy and everyone cleaned their plates. My husband had meat lasagna, ons son had eggplant parm, another had wiener schnitzel, two got the whiskey grilled shrimp pasta and I had the salmon special. No complaints and two had enough to take some back to their dorm for later. Time for dessert, we got a piece of each of the three cakes available - pineapple, lemon and pistachio. They were homemade and absolutely some of the best cake I've ever had. So good, we ordered a pistachio cake for Easter and again a hit everyone. It's now our go to place when visiting the boys. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

The service sucks the server never even asked us about drinks and then when we left she just good bye folks, will never go back 7/29/14 approximately 7 pm

Just had take out - threw away salmon and avocado wrap because the salmon was bad (black and pink) ... Never again

Incredible. Great, homemade healthy AND hearty food. The owner is a doll. A MUST-VISIT.
(5)Marlene G.
Really great homemade food and they deserve was to die for. We're from New York so we really know good food. Its family owned and they take a lot of care to meet their customers needs.
(5)Bob T.
Their pizza is awesome. I had ordered a hoagie about a month ago and the bread was hard. But it was homemade. But their pizza was surprisingly good. I hope they make a run of it...that has been a rough location to keep a business open. Very friendly service.

I recently stumbled upon this restaurant that just opened. The staff was very friendly and hospitable. The food was incredible, everyone in my group really enjoyed their meals. Everything was made fresh! I recommend stopping by and giving this new restaurant a try.
(5)Terry M.
I was first made aware of the bakery section when Silva's, the owner, prepared black forest cake for a super bowl party I attended. Then my daughter and friend had lunch and dinner there several times...and a week ago my GF and myself did breakfast there. Superb... Silva comes out of the kitchen to greet and meet all...and will make things not on the menu...just ask her.

We come to the Poconos every weekend, and we come here for dinner, feels Iike we are in the owners kitchen having dinner with friends!

We went looking for this restaurant last night based on the awesome reviews. It did not disappoint!! It is small and a bit out of the way, but worth the trip. My bf had the spaghetti and delicious homemade meatballs and I had the veal marsala. He raved about his food :) I really loved the veal. It was so tender. The meals came with salad and fantastic bread. The salad is plain, but the dressing was great. Too full to try dessert, but we'll be back.
(5)Andrew C.
They have amazing food that's homemade (the cheesecake is the best) and amazing service. Everything was perfect and they were the nicest people I've ever had
(5)Emily C.
Very quaint but the food and friendly service definitely doesn't disappoint. Perfect for a quick bite of a homemade meal - don't be deceived by the appearance! I had the special of the day, which was a crab cake sandwich topped with fresh cole slaw and cheese served with fresh cut French fries. It was the best crab cake sandwich I've ever had. You can taste the love and passion they put into the food. Highly recommended!!

I dropped in based on the Yelp reviews and was very happy w the food and service. The place is not fancy, but the food was so good that it rose way above the pecking order of anything I have tasted in the Poconos. The woman that owns the place clearly takes extreme pride and is very passionate about the food she personally prepares and serves. Go in with an open mind. Even comfort food will taste unique and leave you with a smile. I will be going back.

I would rate 0 stars if I could. Yelp says they deliver but I called and the lady who answered said they do not. They had the best reviews for pizza in the area so me and boyfriend went out of our way to pick up. We called to make an order for pickup: margherita pie fries and because they said they didnt have mozzarella sticks, I had ordered chicken fingers instead. We went to pick up the food and the lady at the counter says they do not have pizza because they are out of fresh mozzarella and they have no other pizzas ready to take home. Why she didnt call us to tell us she couldnt prepare our pizza is beyond me. She charged us $16 for an order of fries chicken fingers and mozzarella sticks (mind you, she said she didn't have any when I called on the phone). This was literally the most disgusting food I have ever eaten. It was soggy with grease and the food tasted worse than the microwavable crud they used to serve in my high school cafeteria. I am seriously confused as to how people can stomach this. It confuses me even more how they didnt have any pizzas available for an order in the middle of the afternoon. I would HIGHLY discourage anyone from coming here, so much so that this is the first review I've ever written, just to express my disgust.

If your looking for great homemade food, then you need to try this place!!!! Friendly clean and the food is spectacular!

I was blown away by the amazing customer service and the food. I had the BBQ Chicken Quesadilla and a Greek Salad. Both items were made with FRESH ingredients and very tasty without relying on salt for seasoning. I was so impressed by the meal that I decided to order a piece of HOMEMADE German Chocolate Cake. It was incredible; the cake had a perfectly moist texture, was not overly sweet, and was served with homemade whipped cream. The owner (Silva) checked in with us mid meal for feedback. After speaking with her in more detail after our meal it became obvious that she is a business owner who truly cares for her customers and wants repeat business. She uses high quality ingredients and is passionate about what she serves. Look, the majority of owners superficially check in with customers (if even at all), it was simply refreshing to be at a place where the owner desired honest feedback because she wants her food to get better and better. Business at its best. The place is unassuming from the road, I am happily surprised I stumbled upon it.

I'm so glad we stopped in for dinner on a whim. First of all, I loved it instantly because of the customer service. The woman that served us was so sweet. She also makes all of the cakes. I tried one of the mocha cakes and it had chocolate chip cookies spread throughout. So delicious!!! Our meals were great as well and I can't wait to try more dishes!

I am giving this poor rating not because of the food OR service...I wouldn't know about either!! Let me explain..My husband and I have tried not once, but twice to go try their breakfast (which by the way doesn't start until 10...that's a little late...)and twice we sat out front of the restaurant and waitied...the first time til 10:15,no one came, we left and the next (and last time ever) until 10:06..no one came to open..we left. Now after the first time I called and the response was, "sorry, we forgot our keys and had to go back home"..OK....I'll give you that one, I guess...but what happened the second time?..I don't know and at this point I dont care! We will not be going back a third time to probably only sit outside in our car waiting...if you cant be bothered to open your restaurant on time, why bother having breakfast on your menu..it clearly doesnt seem like you are too motivated to be up and running, even by 10 am.

Are we talking about the same place and if so, how can this be true? I give my waitress 1 star (which I've never done so in any review I've written) The restaurant itself, 1 star and the patrons (yes, the other customers - a big fat 5 stars)! Inside, the restaurant was stark and unappealing. A few tables were lined up against the walls of the restaurant and the chairs, looked as if they'd come from a cheap banquet hall. Now, normally I could care less of the furniture and the atmosphere, as long as the food was delish - but, that was not the case for me. Also, what stood out immediately, was the glaringly, spotless clean, metal - empty dessert case. One of the patrons I spoke to, was so sad that there was no dessert, except for bananas foster? Who's gonna cook the bananas foster anyway? Certainly not the shy waitress, who only serves the food and it can't be the other waitress, cause she's too busy waiting on all the customers. For a "new" hire waitress, I'm normally sympathetic - but this gal, knew absolutely NOTHING about the menu items. And if you've seen the menu, you know that it's not an overly difficult menu and a one pager, at that. After each question I asked her, she approached another, seemingly much more knowledgeable waitress, for the answer. Now, I can almost understand that, but after yet another inquiry, she ditched my table altogether, to bus another table that didn't require cleaning. WTF? So, the hubby and I just sat, watching her clean a table, that was obviously clean. I'm not kidding, we must have sat there for nearly 5 to 10 minutes, before we were approached by the more experienced waitress. Normally, we would have gotten up and left, but being unfamiliar with the area and so highly recommended, we decided to sit it out. I ordered the Whiskey Garlic Shrimp, whereas our more informed waitress told me that it was very similar to that of Shrimp Scampi, but with Whiskey. Whiskey, garlic and shrimp - sounds like the perfect combo to me and the hubby, ordered a pepperoni pizza. Go figure - a homemade, delicious Italian restaurant and he orders pizza. When our entrees start coming out, we get our original waitress. What in the heck is this? This isn't any scampi I've ever seen before. It's not even alfredo. Honestly, I don't know what it is, but I can tell you one thing; I sure did pay a hefty price tag for it. Cooked perfect pasta, some sort of cream sauce, absent of garlic, oil, skill - 5 shrimp, a scattering of tiny cauliflower and broccoli florets and the already congealing of some sort of cheese, beneath the pasta. My accompanying salad was not noteworthy and the house dressing, vinegar and oil, with specks of pepper for color. Now to the patrons. A delight in every sense. Mostly an older crowd and with one thing in common, to find great Italian food in the Poconos. We chatted with them all. Shared advice on festivals, where to go for dessert, offering up our pizza, taking in some gardening tips. The one good thing about this place is that they didn't kick us out, as we chatted and some met new friends.

This place deserves every star. The owner is so passionate about her food and restaurant that everything she was describing I wanted to order. She was the ultimate food saleswoman. Everything is homemade everything is good. I had the lasagna. It melted in my mouth. A friend had chicken fingers (best chicken fingers ever) the fresh baked bread was a nice touch. The schnitzel was pretty good as well. We ordered milk shakes with cake in them. I couldn't tell you exactly what was in them but they were delicious. Just pick out a cake flavor ask her to make a shake with and prepare to be amazed. Such a gem. So glad yelp led me here.

I have only been to this place once but it is absolutely amazing. The food wait is longer than average - but that is because everything is fresh made and isn't pre made and warmed up. I had the Homemade potato chips and it came on a long stick like what you would find at carnivals/boardwalk. For my main course I ordered the schnitzel with rice - being I grew up in Vienna, Austria I have not found any place where schnitzel really resembles what is served in Vienna until I stumbled here. The schnitzel was 2 pieces very thin which is what it is suppose to be. It was very flavorful and good. It came with a side salad as well as warm bread. In a heartbeat I would suggest everyone try this restaurant - yes the outside and inside can be deceiving but fresh food is 100% times better than what restaurants in the area are serving nowadays. And I keep telling my sister to come to the Poconos to try it. Thank you for a good dinner

This place is so good. As previous posters have said, don't let the outside deceive you. It's small, with only 7 or 8 tables, and yes you have to wait longer than average for the food, but everything is made fresh and made to order. Their home made bread is fantastic. We had the Mac and cheese balls as an appetizer and they were fantastic. My fiancé had the lasagna and loved it. I had the meatball parmesan and it was cheesy goodness. The owner, Silva, is so nice and pleasant, and constantly checks on you to make sure you're happy with the food and service. Definitely give this place a try. You won't be disappointed.
(5)Brandy M.
The owners actually care about the quality of food and service they provide. The food was great! Will definitely be back!! Silva was such a lovely woman!!
(5)Ken F.
Wife and I went two nights in a row. We got to know Silva, one of the owners, well over those two days. Her service was attentive and she genuinely cared what we thought of the food which was fantastic both nights. Fresh and homemade EVERYTHING down to the bread and even the salad dressings. You can easily drive right by the place as they work on a solution for better signage out front. You can also park in the back so don't be thrown off by the appearance of the front few spots being taken up. Absolutely worth giving this young restaurant a try. Silva, we'll see you next year!
(5)Anil T.
A small awesome restaurant to try out. Drove 6 miles to check this place out. It was worth every penny. A must try place if you are in the neighborhood. The service is awesome and the wait time to get your food after placing the order is little compared to other places. Must have: homemade mozzarella sticks, meat lasagna

We are on vacation from just outside Washington, DC. We were looking for a place to eat dinner and this one rose to the top on trip advisor. As we were sitting at the table, I started looking at the Yelp reviews and liked what I saw. It seems that most everything is made from scratch - breads, pastas, sauces, dressings and baked goods. I asked the waitress for some recommendations. She focused heavily on the Italian style entrees, but there were other, more Eastern European dishes on the menu as well (we asked the owner and found out she is from Bulgaria). When I asked the waitress specifically about those, she lit right up. When she brought the bread, I was instantly impressed. It definitely tasted just baked, it was a dense white bread, had a nice yeasty flavor and a very good chew. I definitely used it to finish off the tomato sauce we got later. We ordered the mozzarella "stick" appetizer. This came as two large triangles of mozzarella cheese, perfectly fried on the outside, but probably could have stayed a little longer on the heat as the cheese wasn't as wonderfully gooey as it should be. It was a big piece of cheese, not like a typical finger-like fried mozzarella stick. It came with a ramekin of homemade tomato sauce which was delicious on it's own. Next time, I'd like to try the homemade tornado chips, which came to a neighboring table - a single, spiral cut potato, deep fried and served topped with BBQ sauce and cheddar cheese, with ranch sauce on the side. I got the jeger schnitzels (veal) and it was amazing. It was two veal cutlets pounded to about 1/4" and 8" x 6", perfectly fried and wonderfully tender. It had a great crunch and even better flavor. It came with a mushroom gravy and a side of mashed potatoes. My wife got the whiskey garlic shrimp on homemade linguini. The sauce seemed like a very garlicky variation of a real good creamy Alfredo sauce. There were lots of large, perfectly cooked shrimp along with a nice helping of broccoli and cauliflower florets. The plate was huge! Had the pasta come from a box, I would have thought it was the entire box! It was a lot of food. Finally, my son got the meat lasagna, which was both recommended by the waitress as well as many on Yelp and TripAdvisor. Again, it was a huge portion, easily 2" tall and maybe 4" x 4" wide and deep. The sauce was the same as what came with the mozzarella app, the noodles were perfectly cooked and there was tons of cheese. My only complaint is there was hardly any meat. Still tasted good though, but it was hardly the best I've ever had. A side note, I had their homemade Greek dressing with my side salad. That was super tasty! And the homemade Cesar dressing was pretty awesome too. The restaurant is kind of small, seemed like seating for maybe 20 people (people actually left because there wasn't even much room to wait. Also, despite the very friendly and attentive staff, there were only two people working the front of the house, one was the chef/owner, and the other was the lone waitress. I only saw two other folks working the back. It seemed like they were short staffed as they were very apologetic for the slow service. Admittedly, it did seem slow, but the quality of the food made up for it. One other thing worth mentioning, it was VERY warm in there. I couldn't tell if it was normally like that or if the main A/C was broken. I would definitely return there the next time I'm out this way, and I recommend you do same!

Great food, even better service. Spartan interior but really friendly experience. Highly recommended!
