Great neighborhood bar-a favorite go to for any Springfieldian. Right priced beer, Guinness on tap, food is super cheap, it is bar food, but it is done well and for the price it hits the spot. Sure people turn and look at you when you walk in, but it isn't because they want you to go away, they are just looking to see who has entered their habitat. If you go there often enough you will start to do the same. So walk in like you belong, because in reality, you do, unless you were looking for 5 star French cuisine. In that case you are definitely lost. You can smoke, I occasionally enjoy a cigar, but never in a bar, that's ignorant, cigars are rough and obtrusive. I have ever only seen one cigar smoker in there and he really doesn't puff away on it, he just holds it in his hand and uses it as an air freshener. By the way, if he were to accidently light the place on fire with the smoking turd rocket of a cigar, no worries, the volunteer fire department is down the street and often goes there after a shift or a meeting. You can always buy them a beer to thank them for their service, especially the retired ones. The live music is usually top notch-they do some good Irish music from time to time and that really hits the spot. The Saint Francis 30-40 something parents often roll in after events as well, so it is a real community Mecca for all types of people. Some people in Springfield would call it the center of the universe, or the happiest place on earth, I say reach for the stars, fellow Springfieldians. Any way I do love going to Duke's with friends, but I would not classify Duke's as the center of the universe, but some people would disagree with me. They are a 5 because I say so, and my friends who love Duke's will beat me up if I don't agree with them. LOL. I think the experience is what you make it, and any given night, if you live in Delco, you will meet an old freind you had not seen forever. It is a five for the customers and the service. That is what makes it a gathering place for the adult community of Springfield.

Duke's is a neighborhood bar. Nothing fancy by any means. It reminds me of the bar in the show Cheers. You usually know someone when you walk in the door. They have Guinness which is a plus. Only downside is the smoke. Even with the smoke eater it is really bad

Dukes is always a good time for me and my friends. Small selection of draft beer, but always one 'micro' type that my boyfriend enjoys. I like the mixed drinks, and the dancing on Friday/Saturday nights. Make sure you eat before you arrive if you are health conscious, but if you are in the mood for comfort food (mozz sticks, wings, ets) then you will be fine. Nice staff and enjoyable neighborhood bar. Prices are not high, so a good place to go if you are on a budget. -J

I havent been here in 4 years but the flashbacks brought me back to good times, friends and well priced beer. This is a hometown place where people know your name in a unpretentious environment. If I lived here, I would go here all the time for sure.

A nice bar within 500 feet of the high school. By nice i mean crap. It's just really full of townies, but I guess at least they're not going to a chain place, so they're more tolerable townies. Not a huge selection of anything. It is also really close to the 101 line, so you can drankinate and go home if need be. You can smoke too if that's important to you.

Local bar with great pub food. Steaks sandwiches, clubs, meatballs along with salads and wraps at a great price! Drink prices are very reasonable. Quizzo on Tuesday nights, live music on Saturday nights.

great local bar Jackie the owner is a caring member of the springfield community

Nice little bar with the springfield local crowd. Beers on tap were mostly domestic - Miller Highlife, Harps and Yuenleng were what my crew drank last night.

This is a hometown bar, with a hometown feel. If you are expecting any thing more, then please feel free to go elsewhere. Duke's is a neighborhood spot in Springfield. It truly is a bar where everyone knows your name, which was quite proven when I walked in one evening with my fiancé's brother, who happened to know everyone in the joint. The bar serves the usual. Beer, mixed drinks and even my wine. The food is greasy & unhealthy, a perfect combination for any tipsy fella. The feeling is warm and comfortable and others' conversations are a blast to overhear. It is a spot where everyone is welcomed and few are denied. No thrills, no frills and no hoity toity expectations. A perfect neighborhood joint.

Local bar where everybody knows your name! Not too much for a beer on tap selection but they have the standards available. Get some pitchers and hang out upstairs by the jukebox. As for the food...I have never eaten here.
