Stopped by for a bite after a long festival weekend eating a meal or less per day so my perception may be skewed. I ordered the French onion soup (a favorite of mine if you follow my yelp reviews) and a turkey club. Standard diner fare. The french onion was decent though I prefer a little more cheese. The turkey club could have used a bit more flavor but I suppose that's what left over marinara sauce is for, am I right? The service was speedy and our hostess was gracious. Super cute. My companion got a boner after eating a gnarly combo of Buffalo wings, a tuna sandwich and a chocolate milkshake. An actual boner. Was it the waitress or the tuna that caused him to pitch an impromptu tent in his pants? I guess we'll never know.

The restaurant was decent at best. We were driving through Pennsylvania to get upstate and I love family-owned places. It was Thursday and raining, so we took shelter to wait out the storm. When we walked in, the servers were on their phones and didn't hear us. I had to use the restroom and they looked up at me like deer in headlights when I asked where it was. What if I was a murderer, ladies?? You'd be dead!! When I finally sat down, the girl hadn't yet been greeted. So that was weird but okay. We had coffee, and our server recommended the Texas weiner. Not really my style but we ordered one to share. I should have known better, but I ordered a steak medium rare and it was medium well. The girl's burger was overcooked as well, but edible. My mashed potatoes were the best part. I SO want these places to succeed, but this one didn't totally hit the mark for me. The service was good, just a little strange.

Such a cute little diner. Fast, friendly service. I recommend The Barrel burger (beef patty, fried onions and mushrooms and cheese on a roll). My picky toddler liked her "fish and chips," and my husband kept raving about the big, yummy pancakes, and well-cooked overeasy eggs. They also had a delicious looking selection of pies...but my kid was starting to lose it so we had to go. Next time! Good amount of food for a great price! We will definitely return!

This place used to be a a must stop coming through Scranton all the time . Used to be better needs a litte pick me up

Not a fancy place but a good place to have breakfast, lunch or dinner that does not break your bankroll. Weekends they have barbecued chicken and ribs which were very good. Not knowing which one to pick I opted for the combo and on arrival I immediately packed up most of what was on my plate to take home for another meal as the order consisted of a half chicken and a half rack of ribs. The ribs were excellent. We have eaten breakfast several times here and it was a decent one. Lunch here was also good. They have a delicious seafood soup.

Always have a good meal here. I normally sit at the bar and have had the texas wieners, texas burgers, the barrel burger, chili cheese fries, open face turkey or beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, and breakfast. Always good diner food, and consistent. When I tell my kids we are going, they are excited.

I had breakfast here today and was impressed with how friendly the staff was and how quick our food arrived. Everything was very good and reasonably priced. Will definitely return.
