I really wanted to try this place because it was recommended from a few friends, but as soon as we walk in we are seated because there was almost no one in the restaurant. We sit down and wait. As we are already sitting for about 10 minutes or so another couple walks in and is seated. The waitress walks right up to them to get their drink order. But we are still waiting to give them our drink order, not one of the many people working there even walked to our table. So we left. That was the first and last time I go to this restaurant.

This is probably not the review you'd expect to read for Maggio's -- everyone writes about their dinner menu. Surprisingly, this is a breakfast review. Yes, breakfast. We came here Sunday morning for breakfast after having it recommended to us. They have an awesome 'buy one breakfast entree and get the second for $1' special that runs until 2PM. We're always pleased after having dinner at Maggio's, and we were equally as pleased after our breakfast. We ordered the Farmer's B.I.P (breakfast in a pouch) and asked for it in a wrap, the NY Omelet, an order of Pancakes, and their Belgian Waffles. Everything was tasty and our waitress was very friendly. I think that we ordered a little too much food so we had a good amount to take home, but hey, who doesn't love a good waffle and pancake in the afternoon? I definitely recommend stopping by Maggio's for their breakfast special. With an extensive menu (for all meals), you're sure to find something you like - probably multiple.

Had an "After Christmas Party" catered at our home. They have a great menu for catering with anything from appetizers to sandwiches to dinner options. The ribs and cocktail meatballs were a HUGE hit! The woman who runs the catering was so attentive and helpful and was always in contact with me up to the day. They provide a service for a nominal fee to come and set up. Returning our hot trays was quick and easy. They also supply your plastic cutlery, napkins, and plates that good quality. Will definitely use them in the future! ***EDIT: Changing my rating from 5 to 3 after in dining experience. Stopped in a few times for breakfast and lunch after having such a stellar catering experience. Service is lacking. The older lady at the hostess counter isn't warm and inviting AT ALL; acts like I'm asking for gold coins when seeking a booth. Multiple times i have had to wait for my check while my waitress went MIA. Paid $6 for 2 diet sodas that weren't even refilled being I didn't see my waitress (this has been a consistent theme here). And don't ask for additional Splenda with your coffee or your food made a particular way. They look at you like anything additional from writing your order and bringing it to you is out of their way. We will be trying other places in the future.

Crust was good but sauce weirdly sweet? Can't say it was bad but not sure I'd get it again. Antipasto salad was wonderful, tuna especially great. The pizza was like a crispier version of Chicago deep dish, a little pricey too!

If you come for Sunday brunch, be prepared to wait. It's because there's a buy one get one for $1 brunch deal on Sundays! Everything they have tastes pretty good too. The problem (or is it a good thing?) is that they run out of lox pretty quickly, because they buy it fresh every week, and when it's out, it's out. So come earlier if you want anything with smoked salmon. Otherwise everything is solid.

Had a cheesesteak pizza and fries. Both items were very tasty. The pizza has a sweet sauce on it which I enjoy. I would just prefer that for 17.99 they would put more steak on the pizza. The dessert was a red velvet chocolate chip cookie with a scoop of ice cream. For $8 I found this to be grossly overprice for what it was. Also the dessert would be better if the cookie was thick and not flat on a skillet. The writer was very nice and helpful. I would recommend this place if you are in the mood for some good food.

We like this restaurant. It has the comfort foods you would find in a local diner or pizzeria but more refined. They run a made-from-scratch kitchen (gravies, dips, sauces, homemade bread, etc.). They have tasty olive oil and really good balsamic vinegar. The prices are reasonable. The bathroom is clean. So far, we have always had good service. Plenty of parking since it is located in a strip mall. Dinner: We have not eaten dinner here yet. Lunch: Delicious sandwiches, our favorite is the 'Balsamic Chicken' Panini' that comes with a mixed green salad and choice of soup. Nice size portion. They have a nice selection of craft, local, imported beer selection (especially bottled beer). Breakfast: When you order coffee they place a nice size pot on your table (good coffee). Every Saturday/Sunday they have a 'order one entree, get the second one for a dollar' special. We like their Omelettes. (they know how to cook a proper egg-white omelette). They also know how to cook eggs properly when ordered 'over-medium'. We like their homemade wheat toast (comes with whipped butter, so much easier to spread). They serve hash browns (though, I prefer skin-on/crispy wedged style home fries). Looking forward to trying some of the fish/meat/pasta dishes in the future.

First time here. My grandmother wanted to come here for her 93rd BDay dinner. VERY NICE, spacious bar. Great Happy Hour drink prices. Huge, bright, very clean dining space. Very attentive, prompt service. Food was excellent! Great calamari appetizer, served with marinara and sweet chili sauces. My entree was HUGE and delicious-Veal Marsala w/crabmeat. Really good. I didn't get dessert, but everyone at the table did. They loved everything they had. Wide selection on the dessert tray. My first time here, but I'll be back! I've been going here literally my entire life and they have always had my favorite pizza!! Sometimes the service is a little slow but the servers are always very nice. The older blond lady that's always at the hostess stand (I think shes been working there since before they moved) is really unfriendly and nasty so I could do without her. I actually liked the atmosphere more when it was across the street but the food is still good.

Went tonight- 1st time. We were taken back by how nice the interior was ..& they had a big very nice bar. Why were we never here before??? Maybe because unless we were in this strip mall, we've never really taken notice. Well I have to say, the food wasn't that great. For an Italian restaurant they had thick "ketchup-y" ( as my daughter would call it) red sauce on the pasta. My husband had the lobster ravioli & left more than 1/2 without a desire to take home the leftovers. The Bang Bang shrimp were very good & enjoyed picking on some mussels in red sauce. We also had the clam chowder- mediocre. This being said- we did have a nice, conscientious waitress & the pizza looked great. We'll probably try it here again for a late night bar / pizza / sandwich / app place.

I really liked this place! The wife and I came here for dinner on a Sunday night a few weeks ago. I walked in and noticed a giant restaurant and also a nice looking bar. There was a football game on, so we decided to eat in the bar. The bar was great! lots of flat screens with different programming, as well as an HD projector set up with a giant screen. They seem to have tons of specials in the bar, so make sure to ask about those. While we were there, they had some amazing deal on beer, whether bottle, draft, or by the pitcher. They also had some appetizer or wings deal too. Ordered a pizza and the wife had some kind of chicken panini sandwich and both were actually really tasty. The pizza's marinara sauce had a sweet flavor to it that I really liked. We had dessert too which was just OK. Our friend recommended the banana cake but I guess they were having an off day because it wasn't that good. And surprisingly expensive. The cake cost more than the pitcher of beer, the pizza, or the sandwich (not together). So that was a tad disappointing, as was our server's attitude. I can't recall exactly what he said, but I remember thinking, what a jerk. They also had this "Are you smarter than a fifth grader?" challenge which was cool and super easy. I got all the answers right and got a coupon for a free entree and an entry into the drawing to win an iPad. So I'll be back if I can actually find it. Although I'll probably be back at some point even if I can't find it.

Meh. When the only thing you can say about a place is that you did not get food poisoning, there is not much to commend it. Barely edible food in a very noisy, cavernous space with dirty floors. Not going back unless kidnapped and forced to return. Not sure how they manage to fill the parking lot so regularly. Perhaps the customers are in the bar or they all have colds and cannot taste the food? I just don't get it.

I was a bit disappointed to see that this place doesn't have 5 stars - because honestly I loved it! I've been a loyal costumer for 2 years now, because never once has it failed me. The staff is friendly and have bend backwards for some of my crazy requests ( for example: even before I went there often, and imagine asking them to sit a group of 12 with no reservation on their busiest night and asking for separate checks!) I am very happy!

I called to reserve tables for a happy hour get together with people from work. I told the hostess there were 20 of us. She said she would reserve 3 tables in the bar area. When we got there 3 tables meant only 12 seats and we were all eating as well as drinking. When we sat at a 4th table she had a fit. The food was good, the drinks were good and the servers did a great job but I will schedule happy hour elsewhere next time. After a hard week at work I don't need attitude.

I am rating Maggio's on three different areas of service and all three receive 5 stars. I told my soon-to-be-husband that we were going to check out the ballroom at Maggio's. He scoffed at me and told me we weren't going to get married, "at a pizza place." As soon as we entered just the hallway of the ballroom, he ate his words. Greeted by Alison (the sweetest woman ever), we were taken into the bridal suite to discuss packages and see the ballroom. It was gorgeous and we were thrilled. Maggio's was our first destination, and despite seeing a few others, we went back to Maggio's without any doubts. Our rehearsal dinner was held in Maggio's the night before our wedding and we opted to have it in the Chef's Galley. The food was divine and the wait staff was friendly and efficient. Fast forward to our wedding day, I was so nervous about the whole set up. There I was, the bride, worrying about every aspect. I had absolutely no reason to worry. Alison had everything set up beautifully. She made sure every detail was on point to our expectations. Every friend and family member who attended our wedding remarked on how beautiful the ballroom was and how DELICIOUS the food was. It was an outstanding experience. The week after Valentine's Day, my husband and I had dinner in the restaurant part of Maggio's. It was a significantly snowy Saturday, and yet Maggio's still packed a bit of a crowd. It was no surprise. The food was outstanding. Of all the things we've eaten at Maggio's in the past month and a half, everything was delectable. Mozzarella triangles, San Remo dip, bruschetta, fettucine alfredo, chicken parm, chicken oscar (yummm!!), filet mignon, mashed potatoes, cannoli cake, cheesecake... And that's not including ALL of the food we had at our wedding!! I assure you that anything you decide to do at Maggio's, whether it be a wedding, a special event, or a simple dinner, you will be IMPRESSED!! Thank you, EVERYONE at Maggio's, for being such awesome people who provide awesome food and service!!

My wife and I had dinner here New Year's Eve and were not disappointed. We both had the shrimp and broccoli over rigatoni with the scampi sauce......melts in our mouth. Continue to love this place, fantastic service and excellent food. Our server Alison was all over us making sure we had whatever we needed. Highly recommend a trip here.

My girlfriend and I eat here all the time and sometimes we go with my parents. My "go to" menu item is the tuna sub. It's is the best tuna sandwich in bucks county. My dad loves it so much I even bought him a tuna sandwich wrapped in a gift bag for Father's Day and he was thrilled lol. The menu is reasonably priced especially when you order a meal that you can get either a soup or salad and the French onion soup is an option! Normally French onion soup isn't included as a soup with the combination options at most restaurants. The servers are always terrific. Also for dessert, the peanut butter bomb is literally the BOMB. This place rocks! :)

The bar tenders are awful. We are here now for a 30th birthday which had been scheduled in advance. The bar tenders could not keep up with the orders. Even after the crowd thinned we waited over 15 minutes to be served. They would keep saying "we'll be right with you" and never co e back. When someone is sitting at the bar with cash in hand it should be a sign that they want a drink!

Food was OK....I had Chicken & Anduie gumbo, rice could've been cooked more thorougly , my wife had veal Dijon, she said it was good. The problem was the 35 minute wait for a table, & we waited @ the bar...which was filthy, crumbs everywhere & had a film of filth...seriously needed a disinfecting. The service was simply not good at all.....the waiter we had was obviously new,was tending to 10 tables including us, & we had to flag him down several times, most of them unsuccessfully. We finally had to get a hold of the manager,as the "to go" order we placed for our son at the beginning of the meal WAS NEVER PLACED. The only reason we went there was that we heard good things about Maggio's, & had a coupon for $25....this place is a 1\2 hour from my home, & honestly, after all the BS at this place,I'm not going to make that trip again.

After my last review (10/23/2013), the owner contacted me to apologize for the mortifying experience. In June, my mom and returned for lunch and was greeted by the owner whom we showed the Yelp message to. He thanked us for giving the restaurant another chance and assured us the staff member -- whose name will not be mentioned here -- will not be waiting our table again. If it does happen, as guests we are free to request another waitress. For this reason and out of respect for the attention the owner gave to the matter, I removed the review. Thank you, Maggio's!

Never had a bad meal at Maggios, and I've been here a lot recently. They have something for everyone, and are pretty flexible if you have dietary needs. I've never been to Maggio's for breakfast, but I love their lunches and dinners. The eggplant parm sandwiches are fantastic. They also have great desserts, and send out cute birthday promotions, which is fun. They have a separate bar area, which is cool. The ONLY bad thing that I can even think of is that the hostesses/waitresses can be snooty/irritating, but I don't care, the food is great!

Once again Maggios come through. I had rib dinners with my wife Tammy and son John. Maryjoe my niece and Trevor nephew had something else the said it was good too. They hit Grand Slam with the ribs. This place I still never had a bad meal and the service was great. The waiter name I thing was Anthony he was on the ball never leaving us dry with nothing to drink. He was fast very polite. We ate outside since the place was packed. We all had a good time.

Busy place, wait for seating. Seasonal specials make it worth the wait. New Orleans menu at this time, including shrimp jambalaya and bananas Foster. Delicious New England clamp chowder, definitely suggest getting it if available. Online ordering now available for those that prefer less of a wait. Decor is kinda old as well as the clientele, but stay for the food. They also have a huge beer selection, including seasonal and local brews. There is definitely something for everyone's taste.

Southhampton, PA Came here for a small Friday night wedding reception & dining and it was wonderful. The food was really enjoyable- no complaints! The couple I did free photographs (playing with my new lens) for their engagement invited me to the wedding too- not as photographer but as friend! :-) Oh what fun!

I ate here a week ago for lunch, and let me tell you as lunch places go-this was excellent. I went with a group of 4 and we had appetizers and a meal- didn't need the apps as the entrees are huge- however we were all hungry. The wings were EXCELLENT- I mean real big and cooked perfect. I also love that they give carrots and celery with the dish as not many places give you carrots. I had a lunch special shrimp salad hoagie and fries for 6.99- It was real big shrimp not doused in mayo- excellent sandwich- The only gripe I might have is that service was a bit slow-It was just the bartender in the bar area where we were seated and had we been in a rush we would have been screwed-but we weren't so it was worth the wait! I really recommend this place for a great meal! I will be back and look forward to trying more off of their huge menu.

We had a horrible experience at their catering hall/ballroom. Right from the beginning, the head hostess was offensive and rude to the kids, she said that she never saw worse kids in her life because the table was so messy. She actually took the food off the children's tables before they finished eating. The hostess and other service personnel were mean to kids, they would not allow kids who came outside to get back inside the building even though the parents went to get them, there was nothing that kids did that should have had provoked such a reaction. The kids were standing outside crying not able to rejoin the party. The worst service ever.

Decent food but overpriced. The apps are pretty good but WAY over what they should be in terms of price. Their desserts are pretty good and they have a wide selection as well. Can't beat the environment; it's warm and inviting and the staff is well-trained.

I've been going to Maggios since it was at its old location, and it has evolved, some ways for the better and some for the worse. The most recent time I went with a group of friends for dinner. One of the pros is their menu is really large now, you can find almost anything you want at Maggios. I split some pizza, potato skins and a chicken parmesan sandwich with some friends. The potato skins were big, but not extremely flavorful, and the chicken parmesan sandwich was really enough. The chicken was all breading and tasted very processed and not fresh. The pizza was good, and had a sweet flavor to it. In terms of service, our waitresses were pretty good for a party of our size. They were decent at refilling water, and brought the food out in a decent time for a group of our size which was around 16 people. The atmosphere is very nice inside, and it is 10x a larger restaurant than the previous one. My only issue here with their decor, is I am not exactly sure what they are supposed to be. I know they are Italian, but the decor is not very Italian and their menu has many other things other than Italian food. I'm not saying this is a bad thing, but it's almost as if they aren't sure what kind of restaurant they want to specialize in so they make everything so generic so everyone feels welcome. The problem is this comes at the expense of the decor and the food. Maggios is a decent restaurant, but not one I actively attempt to come back to. Food (B-), Pricing (C), Atmosphere (C), Service (C+)

Had a solid burger here. It was the french onion burger, and it was pretty good, except that the onions on mine were not carmelized (they were raw) and the french onion soup for dipping was completely tasteless. But the steak fries were pretty good, and the ranch dressing for dipping was ok too- not the best I've had, but definitely not the worst either. And the burger itself was tasty, the bun was fresh... totally acceptable. Our waitress was just ok- she was really abrupt, didn't identify herself... but we did get our food pretty quickly so that was good. Next time I'll definitely try the pizza...

"Maggios, please hold" Literally there is a 75% chance you will hear the above line when calling to place a order for pickup at Maggios. Doesn't matter if it's 5pm at peak hours or 8pm when it's off peak. I think Maggios pickup might be the most annoying aspect of their business. They almost always put you on hold and they routinely take longer than they tell you your order will take. I've had to wait 10 mins in the lobby before on a 25 min pickup. All of the above wouldn't matter if the food was outstanding OR the prices were good. Sadly Maggios falls short in both areas. The food really isn't that good, honestly it isn't. Certain items can be decent but they fall short in a ton of areas. Add on to the fact that they also a little pricey($9 dollars for a hoagie...etc) and it makes you wonder how they continue to stay relevant. Italians are not running this place and you can really tell by the corporate marketing, high prices and subpar food. It's a better version of Olive Garden at the end of the day.

Great food and environment. They have great happy hour deals, and on Saturdays, the bar has a special from 10-midnight, and drinks are super cheap. You have to get there early or you won't get a seat. Great bartenders too.

Pretty much born and raised on Maggios since 1976! The food is always good, the staff is kind of like family as I'm there pretty often. This place offers the best, and I mean THE BEST BBQ sauce around. Love the swirl style pizza, and just about any menu selection makes for a good choice! The bar has stepped up and offers a nice beer selection and all types of nice martinis and cocktails. I highly recommend the pickle martini,it'll change your life! I really can't imagine life without Maggios... Great job gang

I used to really like this place. As the years go by I feel like their quality of food, staff and the overall cleanliness of this place has decreased substantially. I remember their burgers on challah bread being amazing. Last time I was their they were out. The 2 times I was at this place the menus were filthy and sticky. Just really gross when your about to eat finger food. In my opinion the best thing on the menu is their Banana cake. The saddest thing is the past two times that's the only thing I came in for, and they were out!

I want to give this place more tries. I do. I was not over the moon with my dish but my dinning companions liked theirs. I'll run down the pluses first. The beer list is huge, it is a small bible. But with that said I wish the offered a few ciders. Wine list is short and pretty standard. They do however have spiked adult milk shakes. I was freezing the night we dined there and so skipped it but will definitely try them when the weather is warmer. The bang bang shrimp appetizer went over well. For my dish I order pasta with meatballs and their "diablo" tomato sauce. This was pretty much marinara with a so much red pepper flake dumped into it the dish was close to inedible. So unless you like to taste nothing but burn then I would skip this sauce. This place is huge and has formal, casual, and bar dining areas. They also seem to do daily specials - the Monday night we were there it was pizzas but it was cash only for the special.

Had a $50 voucher at Maggio's to redeem, so we trekked up there for lunch. Didn't realize that it is quite a ride from Philadelphia, but in the end it was worth it. The restaurant is on SOUTH 2nd St. Pike. Somehow, the GPS only directs you to North 2nd St. Pike, which will get you lost. There is ample parking spaces because it is located in a strip mall. The place is spacious, large, bright and decorated just right. The bathroom is quite large, clean and handicap accessible. The hostess greeted us and seated us immediately. Our server came on cue and got our orders a few minutes after we got seated. There was a wait for our meal, but it was worth the wait. The food was delicious. They don't have a dessert menu because what they do is bring an assortment of dessert selection to your table and you choose which one you want. Prices are a little on the high side, but I think the taste and quality justifies it. Oh, and they have free WIFI Access.

This review is for the ballroom where I recently attended a wedding. All I can say is: wow (and not in a good way). First of all, this venue is located in a strip mall. Definitely not what I think of when I think of a wedding. When we first walked in there were no signs directing people to the restaurant and others to the ballroom, so we walked into the restaurant and were pointed in the other direction. Not spoken to - pointed. When we found our way to the ballroom my first impression of the venue was that it was pretty - but very typical. You didn't feel like you were in a strip mall, which was a good thing. I can see why the bride and groom chose to have their reception here - it had a nice ambiance. That's about all it had, though. 1. The drinks were SO weak. I'm not a heavy drinker, but I don't know how many drinks I had that night and I was completely sober. I was trying hard to get my buzz on (isn't that what you're supposed to do at wedding?) and had no such luck. 2. The food. I can't even describe how bland, dry, and generally disappointing it was. I couldn't wait for dessert, because I didn't have anything in my stomach from dinner. 3. Dessert was put out by the staff (dessert was pretty good), but coffee and tea wasn't. It wasn't until most people were done with dessert that the coffee and tea came out. And I had to ASK someone where it was. "It'll be put out soon" was the response I got. Overall the staff seemed really disorganized. I never once had my water glass refilled, and no one was coming around removing glasses and bottles from the tables. Maybe the restaurant is better...

I have yet to have a bad meal here. I've been at "the Mag" for quite a few meals including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. That waitstaff is always very cordial and speedy. I normally go with one of their omelettes or the breakfast pizza for breakfast. And for lunch or dinner, you cannot go wrong with a El Greco burger or one of their sandwiches. My wife typically goes with a salad and she really enjoys them as well as their entrees. Great place!

Some food is great, other food is really lacking. For being an Italian restaurant, their pasta dishes and pizza leave much to be desired. Penne alla vodka was bland and tasted worse then if it came from a can. The white pizza with spinach and broccoli was OK but their pepperoni pizza made me want to vomit. Only redeeming thing was burgers and their French onion soup. Not enough to make me want to come back. Also the service is hit or miss. First time our server (young guy) was prompt and awesome, second time (older woman) took 15 mins to get our drink and come take our order. Then she disappeared after taking our order (bus boy brought us the food) and when I got up to go to the bathroom I saw her sitting and talking with the dessert counter people tasting different desserts. After going back to the table I had to ask another waitress for our check, then the original waitress came to us and said she was sorry but got off guard waitressing for a large party alone (clearly a lie since I saw her trying desserts, BSing around and watching tv). We never even got refills on our drinks.

I have been going to Maggios since its inception in Redwood village in 1976. I had not actually been to the super sized Maggios since its new incarnation. I took two younger Pizza Aficionado's to the place of many fond pizza memories. My 10 year old Nephew uttered a "wow this is the best pizza on earth response". my finicky 6 year old, budding uber gourmet said this is "maybe better than Pietros or that Difara place in NY" I love the way the sauce yr. circularized on the oozy cheese crust, the Quatro frommagio white and green and green pies are artistic and delicious! They had me at Pizza fries and great cheese steaks. The new place is a mega machine and the kitchen is an assembly line of great items. Many too many items IMHO but the pizza rocks and the steaks and hoagies rock. I was equally impressed by a wonderfully rich clam chowder that I would put up there with any Boston version I have had. I really enjoyed the Turkey grinder with real turkey breast and bacon and "Hellmans Mayo". with tomato, and onion and great bread. The servers were friendly and young, there is a bar and banquet rooms and the vibe is upbeat. It is cool and fun and family friendly. The cocktails and wine list looked deep and interesting but we did not partake this time. We ended up taking many pizzas and sandwiches and other items home as we had family in from out of town. One note and it is my bad, Pizza fies do not travel well. The meatball parm is great and the coconut shrimp are addictive!! Maggios is a a must try and we will be back soon. Thanks to all who were so great with my daughter and nephew over the past weekend. Who knows, maybe a pizza party is calling our names in the future!!

The BLonde woman I believe is suppose to be a hostess. She seems really miserable about doing her job she does her job but not very nice. The food is so so. The beer selection is good. However I will not go back. I was there when it was not so crowed and sat for 15 mins no one offered me even a glass of water. I left without ordering and will swore I would not go back. This was nearly 2 months ago. Well everyone has a bad day so I tried again. Went in recently and the blonde was not so nice I turned around and walked out. Hey I am spending my money I do not want to be treated that way.

Stopped by after a few years for dinner, they were the best place in town when I was a kid, ate there for 10 plus years. So we stop by to check it out... Nice layout with a modern feel. Seated in a booth and noticed right away that is was a bit warm, actually uncomfortable. Second the booth next to us shared the same table and had some type of divider which you can see under, if you spill your drink your neighbor will get wet. Also the other booth was leaning on their table which makes our side move around, secure the table better so it does not become annoying. Now to the food, very bland and lifeless taste from the fondue for two, the soup and the panini was only average. I would really say the salad was probably the best part. By the end of eating I was actually sweating and overheard a few people that were exiting saying the same. Maybe I will wait a few more years till I try them out again.

We held our daughter's Bat Mitzvah at the Ballroom at Maggio's on September 21. Bette was such a pleasure to work with and the staff was very friendly to our guests. The food was delicious - our guests said it was the best filet mignon they'd eaten. The bathrooms were renovated and are super clean. Whenever we had questions or concerns, they answered us right away. I would definitely have another event at Maggio's in the future.

The good: - spectacular food - went on Good Friday, and so had to order something vegetarian. Got the portobello grilled panini, and it was shockingly awesome. Also, I hear the "bang bang shrimp" are very good, name notwithstanding. - beer selection - I love any place where I can get Franziskaner on draft. They had several other options, as well, but why wouldn't I go with the beer that is served by the bucket full? The bad: - we were there on a Friday night, and a DJ set up while we were finishing our meal. While his soundtrack did sometimes veer from the frat party canon, those respites were few and far between. - waitress service ends at some point, and you get relegated to the bar for all subsequent orders The ugly: - grotesque writhing to said debauchery-inspiring ditties. My seat forced me to behold a man many years my senior clawing at the dorsal cleavage of his female companion. Good times. Anyway, fun place. I would definitely go back.

We have been here a few times and once for an office holiday party. All these times we've been in the bar area, so I haven't done the restaurant yet, but I can tell you that the food they serve at the bar is pretty darn good. There are your traditional bar food type items and then there are a few more classy type options (like the delicious 'Bang Bang Shrimp'). The atmosphere is great, the drinks delicious and the bar food hits the spot during happy hour.

I have been to this restaurant several times in my life. Although, I don't know why... First, the menu's feel filthy dirty, not a great feeling when you first sit down....eww...the food is just ok and overpriced . I in the past have worked in the meat and food business and I am not quite sure you are getting exactly what you are ordering. For example, the fish dishes and especially the veal...sometimes I think it is the other "white meat". I don't think I will be going back again. There are so many other GOOD neighborhood restaurants.

I stopped in for a quick dinner after some Costco shopping. It's a typical Suburban Italian style restaurant. The menu is pretty big so there should be something for everyone. A lot of people seemed to have cheesesteaks and pizza. I went with a soup and salad. The french onion was pretty good, not the most flavorful, but pretty tasty. My salad was the chicken caesar. It was large and I only ate half of it. There were a few weird pieces of chicken in it, but otherwise was fine.

This is a review of the bar, not the restaurant. The bar is incredibly loud before the DJ starts. Once the DJ sets up, you can forget about having any conversation, even at the top of your lungs. The bar doesn't have much in the way of character or ambience, but it does have a good beer selection. I've only visited once, but in my experience, don't expect the bartenders to know anything about any of the beers. We ordered several (obviously pre-frozen) appetizers, all of which were mediocre. The amount of food is substantial, but the quality is lacking. In general, I think the bar tries to be too many things and, in the end, doesn't succeed at much.

Ok- I'm a New Yorker- and this is not NY pizza but it's good! I've had the salad too, and it's tasty and huge. They have a lot of beers to choose from, and I did the wine sampling.

Went for dinner last night with the boyfriend and his parents. The menu has a lot to choose from so it was hard to make a decision - went with the Chicken Oscar (4 small breaded chicken cutlets and jumbo lump crab with asparagus smothered in bearnaise sauce) with a side of spaghetti. The meal was very tasty though the bearnaise sauce was a bit bland (not sure if it's supposed to be that way..can't recall ever having bearnaise prior to this). Enough to have half of it for lunch today at work though. For an appetizer we ordered the spinach and artichoke with cheese dip - delicious! Though very hot, so if you can stand the temptation, give it a few minutes to cool. Served with carrots, celery and crispy Italian bread. Very good. They have quite a selection of bottled beer, but the draft list leaves a bit to be desired. Ordered myself a Leffe Blonde on tap then stuck with water. Boyfriend ordered the open-faced reuben which I had to steal a bite of - so incredible! Would like to go back just for sandwiches some time. I noticed a lot of people around us ordered them, so I have no doubt that Maggio's has a very good sandwich reputation.

I was raised in Southampton and Maggio's was a key hangout for my friends and I (when it was a much smaller place in the Redwood strip mall). The cheese steaks, hoagies, and pizza were always among the best in the area. I've been to the new Mag for dinner and also for catered events. They did a great job with the catering and the food has been consistently delicious. Last time I was there I had a seafood pasta dish (forget what it was called) that I'd rank among the best ever. I also like that the new Mag has an extensive beer selection. Giving 4/5 stars, deducting 1 for the Mag being noisy, crowded, long waits, and the bar crowd is a negative for a family meal with kids.

Liz here- My husband, sister in law and I ate here tonight and we had a great experience. It's Friday night and we've had many friday nights in the northeast where its impossible to get a seat at an average restaurant. We had heard that maggios was good so we decided to try it. We gave our names and were seated within 15 minutes of our arrival at a booth (we were really surprised since it was Friday and it was crowded). there was a nice selection of beers although they didnt have lambic framboise but otherwise very good selection. We started off with cheese fries which were thick cut fries with cheese, bacon and green onions-delicious. For dinner, we ordered the Mr. Go burger, French onion burger and the milano pizza. The pizza i have to say is one of the best pizzas ive had in northeast philadelphia and we ordered the small pizza-it was huge- had 8 slices and had half available to take home. All three that we ordered were delicious. We also ordered a burger to go which was ready as we had finished up. We were so full by the end that we didn't get a chance to try dessert. Also our server was very good, probably one of the best servers i've ever had. Overall we had a great experience at a reasonable price on a typically busy night in a busy restaurant. We will definetly be back and next time we'll try dessert and hopefully breakfast soon

20 beers on tap, which is pretty awesome. Cheap drinks, good crowd, has potential to be a really fun place. Food is AMAZINGLY delicious.

This is a place we tend to frequent and the food is fresh and always pretty good. Service has been spotty the past 2 times we have been here ... ironically sitting in 2 different sections of the restaurant we've had the same waitress ... dont let that deter you from going because the 'gravy' is worth traveling for! (also have kick ass specials during Phillies games and Mon-Thurs for different food specials)

We had to pull a dinner together after my mother's funeral and we didn't know an exact head count. I thought there might be around 50 people and we ended up with close to 100. The staff very accommodating. They quickly added more tables and the food was great. We really appreciate Bette and the servers. Everyone was wonderful to us and made sure we were happy. Hopefully we can use their service for a happier occasion in the future.

This is my favorite place for cheesesteaks, bar none. They're a little pricier than some ($7.95 last time I was there), but to my mind, they're perfect: not too greasy, and a roll that's just the right combination of soft, chewy, and crusty. (A caveat: Maggio's was the first cheesteak I had, when I was probably 5 years old, and the only one I had for years, so I'm biased. My friends like them but say they aren't the best they've had.) Besides their cheeseteaks, the ribs are delicious. Their pizza is unique and hard to describe; maybe it's sweeter than others? In any case, people tend to love it or hate it. I love it. Their new location is HUGE and feels a little cavernous, but the service is very friendly, although it can get really slow at busy times. I rarely frequent the lounge/bar ("The Mag"), but it's my brother's favorite place to watch Eagles games. All in all, Maggio's is a great place to stop if you're in the area with a large group and looking for a good, moderately priced meal.

Food is good. Had the cheesesteak and it was very tasty. It also came with an onion ring that was top notch. I could taste the beer in the batter. Also a really nice clean, modern atmosphere. My problem was the service. Our waitress was very nice but it took forever to get our food. It took so long that they gave us free dessert and we didn't even complain to anyone, they just knew we waited there for a ridiculous amount of time. Also a little pricy but I would try it again to see if we just had an unlucky experience.

I've been here a few times, the main reason i go is cause of the bang bang shrimp. Other than that... not really worth it. Last time i was there the service was terrible.

There are times when you should just leave a good thing alone... After enjoying a very satisfying visit a couple of months ago, we decided to see what all the fuss was with their claim to an award winning cheesesteak. Well I did anyway, hubby stuck with the same homemade sausage sandwich on their in house made rolls and this time he had them add the provolone, onions and peppers. Maggios now serves breakfast on weekends and they are drawing a nice crowd. As tempting as it sounded I was there for the famous cheesesteak, which I had with provolone and hoagie style. The restaurant is very large with two huge rooms plus a large sports bar and lounge. A man had to have designed the seating, it is one of the most ridiculous arrangements I have ever seen. The main dining room starts with tables and a booth or two, very widely scattered so you do not feel you are dining with the strangers next to you. The second half of this same dining room has two long rows of booths side by side and I do mean two people would have trouble walking the same area without turning sideways. Not to mention servers are carrying trays in this same space. We had already ordered when in walks the most dorky young couple who were engaged to be married. She had the biggest mouth, repeating everything she said twenty times about the stupidest stuff, while he kept quiet and tried to swallow his food. The entire time she is watching us eat and pausing long enough to try to listen in on our conversation. I wanted to grab her by the throat, shake her a little and then explain some etiquette to her, you know, for her own good, she was going to be a bride. If I ever do return to Maggios and I am sure that I will, I will wait before being seated in those two rows of booths again. Our server was very elderly and sweet but her get up and go had got up and went. So slow and poky. My cheesesteak was okay, much better than any Steve's, Pat's or Geno's, but not anywhere near as good as Munchy's. yelp.com/biz/munchys-piz… When she finally checked back on us, I mentioned that I did not get onion rings that were to come with my sandwich, I did however get the fries. She said oh, came back a good 15 minutes later with one onion ring! I think she got hungry along the way. With big mouth sitting directly across from us and having lost our appetite, we had asked for to go containers, which took another ten minutes to get. I must say from the breakfast foods that we did see they looked worth checking out. maggiosrestaurant.com/wp… And to the soon to be groom whose fiance told all of Maggios what renovations will be made to your apartment and how you will save money for a new house after spending all of this money on granite, granite, granite and who told you what you were having to eat at the reception and what she was going to have to eat... RUN, do not look back and do not listen!

My parents go here all the time and rave about it. The chicken parm sliders are awesome and discounted during major football games. Salads are great too especially the chef and Caesar. Even the pizza is delicious. If you sit in the bar area you'll most likely have Brenda take care of you. She is great - super friendly and really takes the time to get to know her customers. There is also the main part of the restaurant which accommodates well for families and kids. The menu itself is huge - you can find pasta dishes, wraps, sandwiches, steak, ribs, etc. Also has a good drink list. I would recommend.

My family and I were looking for a "kid" friendly, Nice eclectic restaurant so I did a google search for "kid friendly restaurants" in the bucks county area. I didn't have to look too extensively as Maggio's was one of the very first. Upon reading the menu and all it had to offer it was definite that we would be going to Maggio's for dinner. Also; they have a lovely story about their beginnings and how they have been in business since 1976. I'm a sucker for a good history behind the menu story. When we pulled into the strip mall I was a bit taken back by the fact that a restaurant had sliding doors as it was something I had never ever seen before (wasn't until today that I learned it was formerly a supermarket... Now that makes sense). We were seated immediately and given a very large extensive menu. My goodness, they had so much we had an extremely hard time choosing. The waitress came to take our drink order, I was please to see they offered flights of wine, an extensive draft beer selection and loads of appealing drinks for the kids. After recieving our drinks we placed the appetizer order, Bam Bam Shrimp, Spinach artichoke dip, Fried Mozz, and Cheese steak rolls (did I mention I had a 14 year old boy with an insatiable appetite?). They were all fantastic!! The adults were please as well as the 14 and 7 year old, the only thing we boxed was the shrimp due to wanting to save room for the meal. The kids ordered basic things stomboli and cheeseburger, my bf ordered the veal parm and I... being a bit of a picky one ordered the Veal francesca that was to come with a tomato gravy but I instead wanted the lemon butter sauce (which was not a problem). Everything was amazing, flavorful, fresh and filling. As this was our first time there and we were already enjoying our experience, after dinner and taking a few minutes to digest, we wanted to see if the desserts were just as wonderful. We ordered the snickers pie, the bourbon pecan pie, and the OMF, Sinfully, decadent flour-less chocolate torte. As all were amazing, the chocolate torte was knock your socks off delicious. What really enjoyed the most was the service, we didn't have to wait for a thing and our requests were always given with a pleasant attitude and a smile. Carly was one of the best servers we have had in quite some time if ever at all. If all their servers are that friendly and attentive, this place should have no problem getting 5 stars consistantly. I definitely recommend Maggio's to all. We will be returning and hoping to have the same amazing experience.

I had my wedding at the Maggio's Ballroom a couple of weeks ago. I am very much a planner and a worry wart. They were more then accommodating and answered all of my crazy questions very nicely. My only regret is that I wish I would not have worried so much, the reception was more beautiful than I imagined. The food was amazing, and was presented wonderfully. They made a signature drink for the wedding too, a wedding cake martini, which is soo good. Even my new husband who is a beer drinker, was loving this drink. Everything went perfect! My guests were blown away. I have relatives that live not so close and they were planning (at my wedding, lol) coming back and trying the restaurant. I'm now such a huge fan of this place. Can't wait to have a date night and visit Maggio's again!!!!! (and maybe try to get one or two of those wedding cake martinis)

We were in the suburbs of our old hometown for just a brief time attending a family function at Maggio's. About 20 of us ordering individually from the menu. Seems like a difficult situation for our server but she handled it perfectly with only slight assistance from food runners. Don't recall her name, but she did an excellent job. Knowing our time in Philadelphia was limited, both my wife and I ordered what would be considered the dumbest thing on the menu in a place called Maggio's. We ordered a cheesesteak served on a fresh Italian roll with just the right chew and spot on beef, peppers & onions and as I recall Cheese Whiz was offered. Could be we were affected by many years without Philly style food (about 40 years) but this was excellent. Admittedly a cheesesteak is Italian "style" but this isn't a hoagie, cheesesteak, pizza joint. The bigger surprise was the Corned Beef special (Russian dressing & coleslaw) on excellent rye bread (not packaged) and stuffed with flavorful corned beef. So good that both sandwiches disappeared quickly. Doubt we'll ever be in Southhampton, PA anytime soon again, but if you're nearby don't be afraid to explore this menu for some surprises.

If you really like cold omelettes, cold burnt home fried potatoes, cold toast and day old bagels for breakfast, then Maggio's is the place for you. The only redeeming feature was the waitress made her best efforts to correct as much as she could. Overall I'd say this place is not the best choice for breakfast.

Meh. Not super impressed with this place. I have only ordered takeout but most things were overpriced and underwhelming. The thai shrimp appetizer was good but was a tiny portion for the price. I think their pizza is pretty gross.

Food is very good. Eat in only, Don't call for delivery. Delivery service is consistently terrible if you can even get your order in when they don't put you on hold for 15 minutes.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
