Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

The dining area looks clean at first glance, but that's certainly not the case. There was a strange odor throughout. There were dirty, folded paper plates balancing my table leg out....along with a french fry or two. There were foods scraps in the area where the table meets the wall. The pizza was good and the wait staff were friendly and professional.

Pizza was ok but the wings were discusting! they seemed 5 mins overcooked and bone dry nasty stuff! I called and complained they did offer a new order but could not be bothered will never go back ! was wondering y the place was empty.

We decided to spend our summer trying new eateries (avoiding chains and patronizing local establishments). We selected Buona since they participate in the o-ez ordering program (this is an online ordering system that makes purchasing a breeze). As Siri guided to the pizzeria, we became worried. You can see by the photo, the exterior is unimpressive. And, what truly made us want to split was the Rent-A-Center display ... there were "boom-boxes" (I have not seen those in two decades!) BLASTING local radio. (WHY??!) I had that "I'll wait in the locked car" moment. Happily, the interior is the exact opposite of the exterior: warm, clean, and charming. Likewise, the woman who rang up our order was super nice! The garlic knots were a little hard and the inside-out pizza was a bit mussy. However, it does warrant mention that since we "took out," the mushiness of the inside-out pizza might be a result of it sitting in the box for a twenty-minute drive. While we would not make the drive back, if you live in the area, it may be worth your time to try it out. If anything, the woman who runs the cash register will make your day:)

I probably should have checked the dates of the posted reviews. They are definitely outdated. Place was clean though. My salad was wilted, the gnocchis were okay but the sauce was horrible, as if the can was poured onto the plate without season. Also had the italian wedding soup, which was salty... $17 wasted.

We stopped here from out of town and must say I was impressed! This pizza joint is super no frills....I'm talking bare walls, hardly any artwork up or anything as you walk back what feels like a long cavernous hallway to the counter. The sauce is super sweet and the dough was perfectly cooked, soft an chewy. High quality cheese adorned the top for a slice of heaven! $9.50 for a small cheese pie. Definitely would go back even if the location is bare bones.

Nice big round NY style pizza. It's great. Have never gotten anything else from there. Parking sucks, but it's Scranton, what do you expect.

The map took us about two blocks away from the restaurant which is actually located in Greenway Ridge Plaza. Nothing very special from the outside, but inside was very special. Service was above average---very friendly and helpful. Salad was good, the pizza better, and the canoli to die for. Prices very reasonable which made it a great stop for very tasty pizza.

My favorite NY style pizza in the area. Tastes like the good, simple by-the-slice places back in NYC. Nice, simple tangy sauce. And the crust, sauce, and cheese fuse together to give it that right texture. Green Ridge Plaza is freakin' dismal, so just get a pie to take home. Just show up early so they don't overcook it. Oh, I hear the locals call it Boo-ah-na.
