The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. I do not know of a better Italian restaurant in the world than Mangialardo's. It is truly one of our family's most favored restaurants. The service and food is excellent. The setting is also highly unique and the white pizza is out of this world.

The veal parm was good. The place is a bit dated. You cannot add tip to credit card.....cash only for tip. I probably won't be back.

Haven't been back since high school, and boy did I miss this place. If you've never tried the garlic pizza, you must. Everything else on the menu...I mean EVERYTHING... is delicious. Let's hope I don't wait another 22 years to return.

First off....I am not from the Sayre area...so I am not biased by childhood memories....that being said, this place is AMAZING! Putting aside the incredible time warp decor that transports you to 1941 (along with loving portrait of FDR still prominently displayed),..the food is just wonderful...especially the pizza...which tastes like no other I have ever experienced (and I have had great pizza from New York ....to Rome.....to Chicago) ...must put their version in my top 3 of all time. What a fabulous place to soak in the history (shame on those that say they need to remodel.....go to friggin TGI Fridays then)....a real gem hidden away in a dark neighborhood in the middle of nowhere.....but well worth seeking out. Just the best!

This is an old family owned restaurant with an old-timey menu and old-fashioned attention to quality. My wife and I enjoyed excellent, flavorful meals (chicken marsala and veal scallopine) served in generous portions, cooking the likes of which we have not tasted in about 40 years in a restaurant. If you know what good Italian home cooking tastes like, and can overlook the relative lack of (non-fried) seafood offerings and the virtually non-existent wine list, you will be very happy dining here.

The best garlic pizza in the world. Hands down. I have been eating this pizza for over 20 years and every time I make it back home from San Diego, I must stop here before leaving. If you go, do not pass it up. I have had it with crab meat and onions added, too. The regular pizza is pretty good too. I have had some of the other dishes too, such as the gnocchi and the veal parmigiana, and they are also pretty good. If you are in The Valley, I highly recommend this spot.
