BONUS POINTS! I have NEVER seen a hipster in this place...meaning its an actual cool bar!

It was always your typical dive bar with decent food and beer. It has actually gone down hill since the old man passed away and the sons, who act like entitled jerks, took over. They used to consider themselves a part of the community as was seen in their allowing the church across the street to use their parking lot on Sunday's (when they were closed anyway). The sons basically told the church to go to heck and they would tow anyone who parked in their lot. That's when Tom's lost my business and a lot of my friends business. I no longer even use their car wash.

Would go to Tom's a lot more often if it was non-smoking. Also, it is cash only , which can be annoying. Otherwise, it's a fine bar and the food is surprisingly good. Most of the patrons I've encountered are friendly. Bartenders aren't very nice, but they give you what you ask for which is all you can want. It has that homey dive bar feel, but with the friendliness of a neighborhood bar. Really wish they'd go non-smoking though.

Yes, this is kind of a dive bar, but kind of not. It might have some "hillbillies" in it if you are referring to blue collar workers. I am from a true redneck town, and this did not make me think "redneck". It's a true "neighborhood" bar. Every time me and my boyfriend go in, we see a lot of the same faces. The people are moderately friendly, and I've been eyed up a little, but once I sat down with my boyfriend, no problem, no big deal. You can't get a better deal on the food specials anywhere around here that I know of, or too many places for that matter. It almost feels like taking a step back in time. They do cash only and up front. You see every kind of person in here, and all ages, 21 and up. Karl, the bartender is a nice guy. I just like going to this bar. Even if you went alone, it would still be a decent spot.

not a bad place, cheap drinks & good food. a dive, nobody tried to hook up with me. so not all things are true on these reviews.

Ok. I can agree with some of the other reviews. Great wings. Great draught. Miserable bartenders. They don't take credit cards. Locals are near hillbilly. What do you get with 32 patrons in Tom's B&G? I squeezed into the lone seat at the bar between the lady smoking and coughing like she had TB and two giggling 20 year olds calling and pranking some local hillbilly boys I guess. Most unfriendly blue collar bunch I ever encountered. Bummer, but I liked this place... The answer to the question above....a full set of teeth. Doah!

fun place and great bands, my second time there I was sitting at the bar, and when I was unable to get the bartenders attentions after 10 minutes I held out a 20. I guess they don't like when you hold out money because the bartender said they don't know what that means when someone does that so they continued to ignore me. I was a bartender for over 20 years and have never heard such arrogance. the little guy with glasses and the fat dude with tats both need a bitch slap. THATS WHY I DIDNT TIP YOU IDIOTS. You are bartenders in a dive.. get real !!

dive dive dive. to be honest i hate this place. its filled with cheap whores looking to get laid and that goes for both the males and females present. the only thing i like about this place is a select few of the bar staff for their "I dont give a shit" attitude. i appreciate their honesty.

When I lived in the Philadelphia area originally, I had friends that live close to Tom's. Tom's is a total dive watering hole. I love Tom's. Seriously. It may be a dive, but it's a respectable local watering hole that's clean and friendly. One of the things that I found funny visiting here years ago, is that they get kind of pissed if you swear too much and eventually will kick you out if you drop the f-bomb too many times. How I never got kicked out of there, I have no idea. This is such a great little place that has nothing more than basic beer and greasy food. A pool table, some games. Just a simple little place to go with some good friends and enjoy their company.
