It started with a greeting at the door that was amiable and welcoming. Our server, whose name was Rich, showed us our table and made us smile. We had never been here before and we're just looking for a quick sandwich or something. Rich brought us some complementary corn fritters (two per customer) as well as the apparently usual glass of salted peanuts. That was fine with me, I like peanuts and nearly any form. The crab fritters reminded me of the café Du Monde in New Orleans. We both had iced tea (free refills). I ordered a funny concoction that is a local favorite called slippery chicken pot pie. It is basically an open faced chicken pot pie. Delicious. Real comfort food. And a hefty portion at that. My wife ordered a Caprice salad that was well-made and also delicious. Anyway, it was just for lunch, but overall our visit was fine. It looks like a fun place. The next time we are in the area, we will be sure to visit there again

This was our first time at the Peanut Bar. We went for the beef Wellington special and it was a descent representation of the dish. The beef was a little tough and could have been a better cut, but the pastry wrap was very good. We also had the peanut butter burger called the "Gobber", it was very good and I recommend a try. The waitress and manager was very nice and made us feel welcome. I will go back and recommend it to others to try.

Decent beer selection and always really friendly bartenders (one of which makes a great chocolate martini.) I would say the drink prices are a little expensive for the atmosphere, but not outrageous. Bar foods seem to be good (wings, fries, etc.), however I got the $12 Tuscan salad that was literally a plate of lettuce topped with 4 green beans, a sprinkle of red onion and 10 cannellini beans. I wasn't expecting anything outrageously good, but it was a pretty poor effort. It's just a decent neighborhood bar and if that's what you're expecting, you won't be disappointed!

This place is horrible...I would rather eat dog food...and the owners are clueless...

I don't know why so many people are saying this is a terrible bar. One, I have never seen a fight. Two, I've never seen anyone there that looked like trailer trash (is there even a trailer park around here? lol) Three, I've actually seen some white collar professionals at the bar as well. This is a neighborhood bar. It has a mixture of people. I saw a few people here that we see at Tom's. The food prices are not as good as Tom's. But they can match the 50 cent wing special, and the wings are decent. Just like a diner, I'm not sure if I would splurge on a dinner item at a bar, but bar appetizers are good. I recommend the wings. Another one of those bars with a comfortable, relax after work atmosphere's. Strangers actually told us to have a goodnight when we left. Rock and rock bingo was cool, and winners get a gift card.

Hard to put a bead on this place. It's a restaurant and bar but the main area is mostly bar. It's a nice bar but you can tell that's the main focus of The Peanut. It really is a BAR then a grill as far as space management goes. The food was either really good or just OK depending on the dish. Some items were delicious, others... average and uninspired. Let me be clear, nothing was bad but I think it was a stretch to call it "casual fine dining". You want casual fine dining you need to go to The Bistro on Bridge Street in Phoenixville. The Peanut is a great place to get food while you're having drinks, not the other way around... at least at this point in the game. I have high hopes for this place. It's new and I'm sure they are just trying to get into a groove. We'll be going back for sure.

I have been assured that the Peanut Bar has no affiliation with its horrible predecessor "Chic Snyders". With that said, the bar is the same, actually very nice layout long curving bar which is awesome, dark lighting... a bonus. Some great beers on tap, local micro seasonals, good imports, plus the usual majors on tap. The bartender served me right away, (something Chic Snyder's never did) but the second beer took a little waiting...deduct points.... I did not eat but the food looked decent from what I saw other patrons eating. Weird thing though, its in Royersford, PA, but the clientele and staff all seem like they are from South Jersey!! It is bizarre really....so if you like that sort of thing.....whatevah....potential DB crowd though... Overall. ..an OK bar, not great, but ok.

I don't know what's with the bad reviews - we go here all the time and we are locals. It's a nice change from the only other bar in town that is smokey. The only complaint I have is the fact that I got chilly mozzarella sticks once. The food is always great and I've eaten everything from the mussels to the ribeye steak. My son loves the steak and egg burger. I haven't had the pasta bc I don't eat pasta. The bartenders are always nice and attentive , the beer is cold and we had a great time a couple of weeks ago when we stayed for the band. Which came on earlier and we appreciated it-

My husband ordered the ribeye special, medium rare. His steak was cooked perfectly, and the mashed potatoes were AMAZING. He typically uses steak sauce, but never opened the bottle tonight. This says a LOT about how well the steak was prepared. I ordered penne pasta with fra diavolo and sweet Italian sausage. It was delicious. The fra diavolo definitely packed a punch, which paired very nicely with the sweet sausage. I almost forgot to mention the corn fritters that were served as an appetizer. They weren't the corn fritters we were accustomed to, having grown up in the south, but were delicious nonetheless, frosted with powdered sugar. Deeee-lish!

Cool place, another better drinking bar then I would say a place to eat, but the wings are ok, burgers also.

Well, I've been here a few times on a Sunday afternoon for an Eagles game and always seem to enjoy myself. The place is clean and attractive. Yes, the main focus seems to be the bar, but that's fine by me. Beer selection is mainly the big guys, but I did see a Troeggs,Slyfox and Victory taps as well. I love craft beer ,but tend to stick with a Macro at bars like this as I sometime, maybe wrongly, question the freshness of the Micros. I have had wings. I like 'em Xtra crispy and order them that way. They were. meaty and the hot sauce was good. Mty cheesesteak was also good. Met some nice people there and bartenders make you feel comfortable. A good place to watch the Birds and have some beers and some tastey pub grub. I'll keep stopping in.

Fries were awful, cold and soggy. Wings were so so.....

Went in for a salad and meatball sandwich. Service was quick and efficient. Food was very good (good sauce and meatballs) though they used American cheese on my meatball parm? Prices were very good. I would go again.
