What a surprise! If the owners would do something about the front of the restaurant then this place is a gold mine! I was originally turned off by the local look and at first wasn't sure if they were actually open for business, but after eating there I'm definitely going back! I really think this restaurant could do so much better if it wasn't in its current location.

Tuesday Night at FQB is a stimulus package for your wallet. For $12 you can get an AYCE meal which includes: "All 4 Varieties of our Tasty Wings, plus Pork Tacos, Red Top Pizza, Clams & Linguine $2 Yuengling Drafts $3 Jim Beam or Jack Daniels Mixers" I got the list straight from FQB's website and I can confirm that their wings are in fact tasty. Before I forget, I should mention that drink specials are from 8-10pm, so if you want a Jack& Coke don't be an early bird. I've been looking forward to trying this buffet for a long time and it exceeded my expectations. The wings, pulled pork, and pizza were all perfect and the beauty of the buffet is that you can eat right away. French Quarter Bistro is one of the nicest restaurants in the Spring City-Rofo area with a large and constantly changing craft beer menu as well as authentic and legit cajun dishes. I'd recommend just about anything on the menu, especially the gumbo and jambalaya. They have awesome specials every day- make sure to check out Burger Night on Thursdays and try the Doughnut Burger!!

Ate here for first time this weekend.. Was in the mood for a shrimp po'boy but once I looked at the menu, I wanted it all! Gumbo was fantastic to start, many good IPAs on draft but also tons of crafts in bottles as well that you can also take in 6 pack to go (FYI their homemade sangria was also good and went down easy- not too sweet).. Ended up ordering a fried shrimp po'boy (not on menu but just subbed for catfish no problem) but had a tough time deciding - all the food coming out looked amazing and were massive portion sizes.. Anyway the po'boy was awesome, with extra pickles and remoulade sauce- plus subbed the Rosemary garlic fries for side. Seriously cannot stop thinking about this meal! Can't wait to go back and try everything... In terms of ambience, the restaurant section seems pretty nice and quiet. We sat at the bar area, which does look a little dive-y, but definitely clean... Would recommend this place to anyone!

Best food in long time, how I knew? Took me at least 10min to make decision what to eat for dinner. Can't wait to go back to try more on the menu. craft beer list perfect blend! Cajun speciality!

Ate here many times over the last 10 yrs or so. Dining room looks like a BYOB while the bar area looks like a dive bar. Great craft beers on tap but also serve the standard fare in case you aren't a beer snob. I love the food because many of the dishes are spicy. I had the Korean tacos on Tuesday night and I am writing a review because I'm thinking about how flipping good they were right now. My son had the Pot Pie which could feed a family of four (not a joke). Not a traditional pot pie. The top was like a salty pizza crust. Corn bread with dinner is like eating your cake before dinner. Overall the food is like a gastropub. That type of food may be overdone in Phila and other large cities hasn't reached very far into Western MontCo. Two suggestions to make it better: 1) Be open for lunch during the week 2) A complete front of the house renovation is probably overdue. (Although it's easier to spend other people's money over Yelp)

I went last night to try out Mark's new veg/vegan menu and wow was I impressed! My meals there have always been amazing but he added tons of more options. I had the vegan french onion soup as well as the Korean tacos. Both were delish! I mean, where can you get vegan french onion soup?! The tacos had the perfect amount of spice. I loved them both and can't wait to go back! My friend had a burger that she loved as well. A definite stop for both veggies and meat eaters...not to mention the awesome beer selection!

This place gets 5 stars for its cozy ambiance, phenomenal service, and most importantly, mouth watering food. Deciding what to order was difficult because the entire menu sounded so scrumptious. Even though the theme of this restaurant is Creole/Cajun cuisine, there are a handful of Italian inspired dishes on the menu as well. In the end, we opted for a Cajun pot pie and lobster ravioli. We were started off with a salad and corn bread. The salad comes with your choice of dressing: I chose mango vinaigrette and my boyfriend chose the house special, which is mustard horseradish based. They were both perfect complements to the salad. The cornbread is topped with a little bit of Cajun seasoning and brown sugar, and was delicious. The menu states that the pot pies serve 1-2 people. Personally, I would say 2-4 people. My boyfriend and I packed the leftovers, and it made for a whole other meal the following day. The lobster ravioli had a generous amount of lobster within the ravioli, and the tomato basil cream sauce was delicious. For dessert, we had a bananas foster bread pudding. It was warm, soft, and the bananas were perfectly caramelized. Every single dish we were served was absolutely delightful. Service was very impressive. Our waiter, Andy, was very friendly and answered all our questions about the menu with much knowledge. He stopped by our table several times to check up on us and was very attentive, despite the fact that he was the only waiter. The decor of the place is very cozy and New Orleans inspired. The jazz music playing in the background was very soothing and enhanced the southern vibe of the restaurant. There is a bar in the back of the restaurant, but it's separated from the main dining area. Another concept of this restaurant that I love is that everything is cooked from scratch. Nothing is frozen and reheated; everything is fresh. Although it's a bit of a trek for me, I will definitely return to the restaurant!
Amazing food! My husband and I fought over the garlic rosemary fries and fresh cornbread. I also had a small dish, scallops with pistachio linguini. SO good! The service is SLOW as molasses. I wondered if our waitress had to run to Epps to buy the beer I ordered. I'll go back for the food, but will expect less service-wise. Too bad, otherwise it would have been a 5 star!

I really want to like this place, but I usually leave disappointed. I have relatives in NOLA and have been there about 25 times, I think I'm an expert, so does everyone else, but their idea of cajun/creole doesn't match mine. Anyway, I keep coming back, especially for Burger night. On Thursdays it's $6 for burger, fries and slaw. Quite the deal. Nice variety, fries OK, slaw tastes like the grocery store, though it's said to be homemade. Burgers are thick, but don't quite cover the bun. More meatball than patty. Bun is soft and is usually destroyed. Decent amount of meat. Good opportunity to try a doughnut burger. I liked the Cuban. Anolther good night to try is Tuesdays. They do a buffet of wings, tacos and pizza. It used to be cheaper, but I think it's up to $12, but they did add pasta. Not a fan of their wings, a little too hot for me. You need to go a little later for this one. They don't put out much until the crowd builds which appears to be 7 or after.

I really wanted to like this place. Went to happy hour. The fried tomatoes were burnt and not tasty. The nachos were not edible. American cheese and pulled pork were the toppings on the nachos? Hot wings were not hot at all. The place smelled like smoke also. Won't be back. Sorry

First time here and it was fantastic! Had dinner with 3 vegans and two in my party who all managed to get a great meal at a decent price. The fried pickles were amazing, catfish was to die for and the vegan cheesesteak was raved about. The cocktails were pretty awesome, too!

I crave the food from here, it truly is soul food and is hands down the best cajun restaurant in the area. They make some pretty good drinks, too (just don't get the Bloody Mary). The layout is interesting and I definitely prefer the bar area, which has a divey, old fashioned feel to it. As for the food-right out of the gate the cornbread is a winner. Salty, sweet, buttery, and topped with cajun spicy. It's hard not to ruin your appetite by eating the whole basket (which I've done). For appetizers, I highly recommend the popcorn crawfish. This plate is HUGE and rich, so definitely share with one or two or three people. The fried green tomato is delicious, and again RICH. Very filling. For dinner, I've never been disappointed. I am pescatarian, but my boyfriend went crazy over the sausage sampler. They have inventive burgers that can be subbed for veg patties-the veg bahn mi is amazing. They had a salmon special I've gotten that was sublime. They have a full vegan menu as well that I haven't tried, but definitely plan to. Overall, the food is great. Filling, satisfying, and heavily spiced/seasoned, like good soul food tends to be. I've also had an array of cocktails that were pretty good. I got a Bloody Mary that was HORRIBLY salty, so that is one that I can not recommend. The beer list is pretty good, some great crafts are always on draft. In short, if you haven't been then go. It really is a nice treat. EDIT 04/08/15 So excited about their new vegan/vegetarian menu! They are the only place in the immediate area that had vegan 'bar' food, which is great. It's not necessarily a healthy option, but a great way for vegheads looking to indulge every now and again. I have had the vegan cheesesteak, the reuben egg rolls, the vegan hamburger, the vegan italian chicken chessesteak and the vegan fried pickles. First, the reuben egg rolls were delicious. They were basically veggie eggrolls with a great creamy dressing to dip. Crispy, fresh, flavorful and satisfying. The vegan cheesesteak was really good. It was smaller pieces of seitan, almost like a ground beef texture, with vegan cheese and onions mixed in topped with truffle ketchup. I wish the texture of the seitan was less ground-beefy and they used larger strips of seitan, but the flavor was great and it was tasty. The italian chicken cheesesteak wasn't as good as the regular cheesesteak-not a whole lot of flavor so I added some ketchup on top. I also didn't like the cubed 'chicken' peices and again, would have prefered strips. The vegan hamburger is good, the patty is pretty average but they do a great job with all the fixings. There are a lot of interesting burger options to try. I've had the fried pickles several times and sometimes they are WAY too salty. When they aren't saturated in salt they are pretty delicious. I'm excited to try more things off the vegan/veg menu. Also, as a side note, their 4-6 happy hour with half priced appetizers/drinks rules. For non vegans, the lobster mac and cheese (only like $7 during happy hour) is out of this world. It is like a wonderful pile of unhealthy goodness.
The food here is AWESOME! So good and you get so much of it. Our server was informative and attentive. Restaurant is attached to a bar and that area is more casual and then there is a more formal seating area in the back. Not sure why that bothers some people but you can't please everyone. We'll definitely be back..there are so many choices on the menu that I still want to check out!

Love the food and we have had many good meals and cocktails with friends here. Service has always been good. My favorite is the fried catfish. Very fresh good food. Make a reservation if you want to be sure if seating because it is small.

Ordering takeout from this place was one of the weirdest experiences of my life. I walked in through the dining room to an empty bar, where I waited alone... with no service... for ten minutes. A bartender finally came out with the order I had placed over the phone nearly 35 minutes before (they only quoted me 20... It took wayyy too long). I got home, just two minutes away, and the food was barely warm. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and fried pickles. The sandwich was disgustingly soggy, the sauce was gross, there were whole cloves of garlic on it, and I was not impressed at all. The fried pickles were chewy - not crunchy like I'm used to; it's almost as if their frying oil isn't up to temp. My wife ordered the chicken cheesesteak - dry, chewy, and way overseasoned. Everything is overpriced and underwhelming.

I was here for dinner during the week. I was a little thrown off when I entered because the front room is very classy, with a clean classy look complete with cloth tablecloths and candles on the tables. If you walk thru that room you get to the back portion, which is where the bar is. This is where I chose to enjoy my evening. The bar area is very nice. The music isn't very loud, so as not to disturb the front. I really appreciated this, as I'm not a big fan of blaring music. ThIs place offers an alligator sausage appetizer, which is super cool. Unfortunately they were out of alligator when I visited. I instead had the BBQ Chicken Shrimp Po' Boy, which was absolutely delicious!! The person I was with had the Korean BBQ chicken tacos and was still raving about them the next day. They have a modest beer selection at best. In fring is a nice sit down area with cloth table covers. Have to walk through this area to get to the bar. Only cons here: Not a ton of beers on draft and you have to walk through the fancy front room to get to the bar area, at least from the street entrance. Biggest pro: The food menu seems to be terrifically done.

My wife and I have eaten here about 10 times and have never had anything short of a great meal. Their food is original, incredibly tasty and very fairly priced...and their cornbread is the best I ever had. If you're interested in trying something new then I suggest giving The French Quarter Bistro a shot.

Went here last night for dinner. The service and drinks were the highlight - the food was good and unpretentious, but it didn't blow me away. The atmosphere is ok - but then again, I might be a little spoiled by Center City dining. Andy, our server, was excellent. Extremely personable and went out of his way to recommend some great beers (the Stone IPA - he raved about it, I believed him, and oh was he right) and appetizers. Really impressive draft beer list - really unexpected and a pleasant surprise! We got the cajun popcorn as an appetizer which were deep fried crawfish tails with a creole mustard and hot sauce on the side - this was probably my favorite bite of the evening. We tried two of the entrees from the specials menu, one was a stromboli potpie which was ENORMOUS, tasty, but a little watery on the inside. We also got the steak frittes topped with crab meat, which came with a delicious chipotle sauce. We got the steak prepared medium, and it was a little dry/chewy, but not bad. The sauce definitely helped. Sunday nights are also "fondue night" - they have a little table in the dining area with a little chocolate fondue fountain and a plate of various things to dip: marshmallows, bacon (yes, BACON), graham crackers, etc. There were a lot of kids in the restaurant and I'm a little bit wary of fondue fountains in general, so I skipped it, but a nice touch. Oh, and a parking tip. If you drive slightly past the front of the restaurant, there is a sneaky little alley you can drive into which leads to some additional parking behind the place. The back entrance leads you into the bar, which threw me off a little, but if you walk through the small bar dining area you'll find the main dining room.

FQB is one of a kind. The options they have on the menu are like nothing else you will find in the area. Pulled pork sandwich, burgers, fried chicken, meatloaf-everything I have had here has been amazing. Beer selection and service are also just as superb. I for sure recommend FQB if you are tired of ordering the same old cheese steak or burger and fries when you go out.

This was my enth visit. It is my favorite place in the area to go and tonight was no different. I took two friends with me this time and we both had restaurant.com certificates that they honored. I started with the fried pickles and had one of their special drinks. I dont remember the exact ingredients, but it was called an orange tea. It was made with a sweet tea vodka, orange Stoli, fresh mint leaves, fresh brewed tea, orange slices, and simple syrup. Phenomenal. For dinner I decided on an appetizer and a soup since I've had most of their homemade favorites. I got a cup of the Crawfish Bisque which had plenty of flavor and plenty of meat. I also had the fried tomatoes with fresh crabmeat. My girlfriend had the andouille meatloaf which was served with a fancy masshed potatoes and she said that it was awesome. I've had tastes of it before and would agree with her assessment. My other friend had one of their newest specials which is a stromboli pot pie. This basically consists of the contents of your typical stromboli cooked inside an 8x8 baking dish and covered with a cheese filled pot pie crust. He drank one of their pomegranate martinis and said that it was tasty. Seating is comfortable and not crowded whether you sit at the bar in their comfy bar chairs or you sit at one of the tables in the dining room. Temperature was comfortable. Our waitress knew her stuff. Prices range from $5 for a cup of soup to $24 for the filet with truffle oil. They have a variety of fancy martinis and drinks and are known for carrying specialty beers. Come on now, this is the home of the $2 deep fried burger. You can't go wrong.

People really under estimate this place. There's nothing like it around. Been here multiple times. From deep fried cheeseburgers to the blackened catfish with Mac and cheese this place is #1 on my list every time I'm in the area. I had a pizza pot pie one time here that was so big and awesome I took what I couldn't finish home and ate it for breakfast the next day. The food here is REALLY under estimated. Did I mention the list of all the different craft beers he has on tap?! There's no bar around that has this many. I'm not a drinker, although my friends are and always rave about it. I find myself tempted by the sips I get of others beverages to try. Mad elf to a banana nut bread beer they have it all!

Was able to get food at 10pm when we arrive late in town for a wedding the next day. The restaurant was closed and they had converted to bar mode, but the kitchen was open and the bartender was able to seat us away from the bar crowd. He was the only one on staff but managed to take care of our table of six and his other patrons. He was friendly and incredibly attentive for the jobs he was juggling. The food was great. Cajun burger, crab cake sandwich, french onion soup, the Korean "chicken" tacos, and two "chicken" pastas. All good. No complaints. I'll return if I'm in the area again.

This is an interesting place. I couldn't quite figure out the vibe. Our waitress was very nice and the place seemed clean but something was off. It really got weird when our waitress said she couldn't do something because "the owner is here tonight." ...ok? The menu is quite large and offers lots of options. The fried pickles were good. The beer selection is decent. I got the Stromboli pot pie and it came in a Pyrex baking dish. It was HUGE and another member of the staff came out with our waitress just to see my reaction to getting such a large dish dropped in front of me. My husband has the sausage sampler and wasn't wowed. The sauerkraut ruined the whole dish because it was overly sweet and the wild boar was incredibly gamey. The portion sized vary by a mile. Our one table mate had the tacos...there were three on a plate and he was still hungry. Our other table mate had the mac and cheese and it looked like an appetizer sized portion (that seemed to work out because it was very rich). Another had the chicken cheese steak and took some home. Meanwhile my husband and I are juggling HUGE dishes. The vibe really got weird when this guy started walking around every table interrogating every guest about their meal, the weather, the staff, etc. He was kinda erratic and was wearing gym shorts and a wrinkly polo shirt. Well, apparently he was the owner. It was...very strange. I would def give this place another shot because we have friends who live close by but the vibe makes me not want to go after dark.

The food is incredible and for really good prices. I cannot believe the super quality that you get for the money. The staff is just wonderful. You must try the Cajun corn bread! mmmm
We've been here twice and both times the food was delicious! I had the fried chicken and the lobster ravioli special, everything on the plate is so tasty. My husband got the clams casino pasta dish both times and he loved it. This place has a really nice atmosphere, super nice wait staff and very tasty food. It's a little hidden gem!

I have never had a bad meal here ever. The food is absolutely amazing and it doesn't matter what your price range is you'll find something and it will be delicious. My only complaint about the establishment is from a few years ago when they wouldn't be open during business hours. The problem has since been remedied. Honorable Mention: The VooDoo wings. Get them hot or mild their flavor is amazing

neat place. Not much on "ambience". But the food..... My brother and I stopped in for a drink and some apps. The Louisiana popcorn (breaded crawfish) and the breaded pickles were fantastic. It was wings night - both the voodoo and the honey habanero were outstanding. Can only give three stars because i haven't had the main courses yet - but I'll definitely be back to give it a shot. So far so good. Really nice beer selection as well.

Small town charm. Started off with the fried pickles which were very good (especially for me because I don't really care for pickles). I had the BBQ andouille meatloaf with mashed potatoes which was excellent and my boyfriend had the jambalaya which he really enjoyed. Great service, decent prices and huge portions - I would absolutely come back!
A late night at work for us and our empty bellies lead us to FQB. I had the Andouille Meatloaf and my wife had the upside down pizza. We loved them both! Upside down means it was built cheese under sauce. Yes, the dough is still on the bottom. A sweeter sauce on a nicely crisp, but not too thin crust. Very tasty. My meatloaf was really good too. On the side, dirty rice and a creamy corn with onion, celery and spices that was awesome. I know it has a real french/creole name that escapes me for now but I'll get to know it better next time. It did take a little time for our food but at least to me, it looks and tastes like its being done right. Freshly prepared with a little heart. I know others haven't given good reviews but for my wife and I it fit the bill and exceeded our expectations this time. Tons of beers to pick from and a small, good humored crowd who is not afraid to pick from the deepest tracks of the karaoke library. No American idols but there were a few that we couldn't stop laughing with. We will be back!

Only been here once, and going back tonight, so my reviews might change, but as of right now this place is 4 stars to me. The waiter we had was a really nice, attentive, and help full guy, can't remember his name. Got the fried pickles which were awesome and the fillets on mashed potatoes which were also great. We split a pizza after the apps and yet again, it was great. Got a south Philly pizza and it was a good choice. Lot of bad reviews for this place on here, it is what it is, a bar with a restaurant/dining area attached, can't hate them just because they don't want to exclusively serve nachos, chicken fingers, and burgers. I mean why go to a place called "French Quarter Bistro" if you don't expect the food to be a little different? It's the sole reason we tried it in the first place. If you want the same thing you always get with no questions, go to applebees, guarantee they have your boring palate plates and whiney kids menus. UPDATE Went back last night for V-Day, the guy who seated us had almost no idea what he was doing, and for some reason I will never understand about 5 of the 15 tables weren't ready at all. Either way we got seated pretty quickly, had some utensils thrown down at us and finally got our waiter who was much more professional (made you feel he had worked in a restaurant before), and to our liking, pretty goofy. Specials sounded good as does their entire menu, but we settled on 3 apps and a pizza. First off their fried pickles are hands down the best I've ever had, and we have gotten them tons of times from various places. Their fried craw fish with creole sauce was also, amazing. Totally different batter from the pickles as it should be, and delicious. The third app we got was mac and cheese jambalaya and we both agreed it was the best by far, the sausage, shrimp, and green onions set it off, it was phenom. Finished the meal off with a sausage pepper and onion pizza which as usual, was great. Soft garlicky butter crust on the edges, crispy with sweet sauce and layered cheese, nice thick cut veggies made this pie great. Even the day later cold out of the fridge the crust is still soft to eat cold. All and all a great diner, I have to stick with my 4 star because even though the food was amazing, they gotta get someone seating people who knows what he is doing.

I want to love the FQB... Like...i REALLY want to. I would love for Royersford to have a great reason for people to come visit it/help revitalize the town. But, unfortunately, the Bistro keeps disappointing. The food has always been pretty good - I'd give it 75/100 on average. But lately, maybe the last 6 mo. - 1 yr, it has been really hit or miss. A simple dish like the pierogies used to be mouth watering and delicious -- I got burned about 3 - 4 times and gave up on them. They stopped cooking the onions enough EVERY TIME. How difficult is it to caramelize red onions? The rice has also been off lately, like undercooked and crunchy... it's like someone in the kitchen can't take the time to let stuff cook thoroughly... really weird. Their seafood has always, consistently been on point, though. I'll give them that. Atmosphere - weird. All my friends who have been there say the same thing, they like it but it just feels weird. It got a little better when they did some renovations (sectioned the dining area off from the bar, put a nice tiled top on the bar), but I feel like they could do better. There's a creepy bright fluorescent light that shines from the kitchen area into a bar seating area... the overall lighting is weird, I don't know if it's the paint reflecting the light or what? It doesn't make me want to sit in there all evening. The radio is always static-y...ehhhh.... Service - I can't really complain. The one bartender who is there the most... can't remember her name, she's pretty and maybe 30ish? She's always nice, and attentive. Generally, female bartenders get a bad rap because they can be flirty with the male customers, ignore people who need drinks, and are just bad employees... she's always on top of everyone and doesn't seem to let people get out of control - i've seen her get stern with some drunken idiots. The servers have always been friendly as well, albeit not the most "professional" (staying after your shift to have a drink is one thing, getting hammered there in front of your customers is another)... Although, this is the minority, not the majority. Overall, i would recommend it for a decent place to have some really nice craft beers at a reasonable price, and some good eats. I seriously hope someone whips the kitchen staff into shape to bust out some mouthwatering food like they used to. It's a great alternative to smokey Toms with their obnoxious frat bros. I'm still rooting for you, FQB!!!!

The food here is incredible. Cajun cornbread to start with, huge portions, and basically any crazy Cajun dish or spice you can think of is available. Alligator sausage, fried pickles (amazing), even plain hamburgers for those who can't decide. They definitely know this genre of food. I will admit it usually takes a decent amount of time to get your plate, but the food is so good that it's understandable. It's very well priced and one of the places I always tell people about when they visit. However. The atmosphere is straight up weird. One side of the restaurant is the dining area which is fairly nice, but has a 'deconstructed' feel that you can't tell whether or not it's on purpose. The servers have always been incredibly nice and knowledgeable though, and I've never gotten an unsanitary vibe, but it looks like they couldn't decide on a decor, so they just threw whatever they could find around the place and painted a few walls. The other side of the restaurant is a dive bar. A straight-up, "We'll laugh at you if you get a martini" dive bar. It's lit with insanely bright florescent lights and I would describe it as the opposite of "homey". Everyone seems to be a local and every time I go, at least one patron is personal friends with the bartender and gets treated as such. It's really uncomfortable for people who aren't "regulars." This place has all the ingredients for an awesome establishment, but I think they need to agree on what kind of atmosphere they're aiming for.

After searching for Pink Flamingos and emergency underwear all day we most definitely exhausted and had a craving for Fried Green tomatoes and beer. So we went to the bistro and only to find that there were no "Green" tomatoes but red. I was disappointed because I read the menu wrong but they were still good. The beer selection was above average. The gumbo average, sausage sampler average, and the pasta with pork was above average. Don't think I would go out of my way to go there but if ur in the mood for creole/Cajun food and you are in the area it might be worth trying once. Would of been 2.5 stars but since there was good beer 3 out of 5 stars!!

I went on a whim to try this place. Where to start? Well the staff is friendly and that is a huge plus. The service is really good which is also a huge plus. The drink menu and beer selection is great as well; again another huge plus. Onto the food. Well they like to take classic food and change it up a bit. This isn't a bad thing for sure, but it is a confusing thing when you order a simple menu item and you get something completely different. For example, I ordered the chicken tacos. There was chicken and it was in a soft taco shell... that is about it for getting the chicken taco thing right. They created something totally off the wall with odd sauces and other additives. I am not a "food hick", but this was way too far out for me. My wife ordered the blackened salmon which did come out as "blackened salmon", but with a twist. It was severely under cooked; like sushi under cooked. This isn't all too bad, just a little forewarning would be nice. Also the atmosphere is lacking. The tables are close in proximity and it is nearly impossible to not hear another tables conversations. This could be changed easily with booths or less tables. All in all, the food is different, but high quality. You MUST go there with an open mind and be prepared to get something a little different than what you expected. I will return again, but I will ask the server about the food preparation before ordering.
I went to this place when I was a teen cause my girlfriend at the time worked there. I can't remember how it was back then. Years later a few friends recommended the place cause they had an all you can eat wing night for a reasonable rate. It was okay. The flavors were good, but the wings were scrawny and a few times they were under done; raw. Summed up, it's not worth it. There are a few other places with the same prices, better sauces, meatier wings, better sides, better service and way cleaner.

The family and I head to FQB at least once a month. Plenty of parking in front of the restaurant and I have yet to have to wait for a table. I take this more as an undiscovered gem in a less than desired neighborhood then a knock on the place. Plenty of specials every night of the week. AYCE wings and fries for $7.50 on Tuesday nights (bumped up from $5 which was a STEAL IMO) and 1/2 price burgers on Wednesday. Ask for the deep fried cheeseburger. It is not as sinful as it sounds, as just the patty itself is flash fried and the toppings on each are perfect. I am a huge fan of the fish (tuna steak) tacos and the crawfish tails appetizer is incredible and a nice change from calamari. Reasonable pricing on everything and we can get a huge bowl of spaghetti w/ butter for the kiddo for $2.50. 12 craft drafts too with a nice selection of bottles, which again, are not overpriced. Recommend highly to anyone looking for a great affordable dinner out w/ that special someone or the family. Decor is not the best, so I would not recommend for a first date if you are trying to impress someone with ambiance, honestly. Save this place for the 2nd or 3rd :)

I went back a couple of weeks ago and the story is the same. I was disappointed in the food still. Bland and absolutely not Cajun. AND the service, oh man. Having been in the food industry, I don't have lofty expectations, I know how hectic a weekend night can be. Be polite and do the best you can while juggling the other tables. Our table was neglected while the waitress chatted away just a dozen feet away. I will not be dragged here again by friends, this was my last visit ever.

We visited for the first time after driving by it almost daily. It certainly does not look like much to look at from the outside but on the inside, it is a very quiet dining place. The items are a bit pricey though. We went for steak night and received the steak just as we asked for it to be cooked. It was very tender and when warmed up at home, it didn't lose it's tenderness. Tasted just as good the second time around. I ordered the crawfish bites. Very good; however, the mustard was a bit much for it and drowned the taste of the crawfish. Will order them again minus the mustard. Next trip, Cajun Night held on Saturday nights. "We'll be back"

My favorite restaurant in the Royersford/Limerick/Spring City area. If you're looking for cheap snacks and drinks you can't go wrong with their sandwich/burger menu and excellent selection of drafts. If you're looking for truly outstanding cajun and creole cooking this is the premier spot in the county. The spicy catfish is incredible in fact I've tried almost every meal on the menu and wouldn't describle any as less than incredible. I believe Thursday is $5 burger night and they also have $1 drafts during happy hour.

I took my roommate to the French Quarter Bistro after a recent purchase of a Living Social coupon. I was really excited to try it out because I had heard good things from friends and family. It gets a solid 3 stars for me. We ordered the Firecracker Shrimp based on other Yelper's reviews. It was a litte too spicy for me...but really...what was I expecting? It's called Firecracker shrimp for crying out loud. I don't hold this against the Bistro. Our waitress was kind and the place was actually pretty busy, so the service was a smidge slower (which we were fine with, maybe not so much the couple behind us...geez...calm down). I ordered the crab cakes and my roommate got the pulled pork. We both really enjoyed the main dishes of our entrees...the sides...not so much. I'm not sure I can really blame Bistro for my dislike of my pasta (it had too much of a cheesy taste to me). I've never had creole-inspired food before, and that just may be a staple of the diet. I just would've liked bigger crab cakes...they were delicious. My roommate seemed to find something resembling a small granule of rock or sand in her side dish (the pained look on her face as she chewed it was kind of comical). The pork, however, was nice and sweet as described in the menu. The cornbread was fantastic...gosh I love cornbread. So I would recommend trying this place, I don't think I will venture back because I don't think creole cuisine is really for me...but that's not their fault.

I recommended French Quarter Bistro to friends last week who were looking for a late night snack and a beer. They stopped by on a Thursday night. The restaurant was closing but the very friendly hostess offered them the chance to sit in the bar and get food. They sat in the bar and tried for 40 minutes to get the bartenders attention but she was more interested in chatting with friends and people who she knew who walked in, than my friends. She finally came over and asked them if they wanted water. They said yes, and then waited again, after another 5 minutes of her chatting with her compatriots, they walked out. I posted a complaint on their Facebook page and it was removed within 2 minutes. I guess they don't care to respond to complaints and would rather sweep them under the rug. I don't think I'll be going back any time soon. What horrible service!

We've been wanting to try this place out for awhile now, but just never get around to it. Especially when there's not really much on the menu for smaller kids, and I refuse to pay $10 for a hamburger that my kids will only eat a portion of. But the good thing is, they have take-out and last night just ended up being one of those take-out sort of nights. Word from my husband (who was the take-out picker upper), which echoes everyone else's reviews, is that the place was dead. But it was a Wednesday night, so there's that. Still, various nights of the week, and this place is always dead? I got pierogies and a burger with thousand island dressing. My husband got the wings and the deep fried burger. For me, the food was entirely too greasy and rich. I love rich food, but it was HEAVY! Maybe I just wasn't in the mood. I only ate two pierogies and half of my burger, before I nibbled on fries (which my husband called deplorable). However, he loved his burger and the wings, and also the other part of my burger. It sucks that this place isn't a tad better. Louisiana, creole type fare is kind of hard to come by.

We are never disappointed here. There is something for everyone from our youngest to us. They will even custom prepare dishes if someone has special dietary needs. (Our oldest is a vegetarian). The service is almost always great. The specials each night are always wonderful. It is our favorite place and we always recommend it to friends.

I noticed that the higher reviews are people from Malvern and other places near me, which is about 40 minutes from Royersford, which means we all travel a ways to get there because it is worth it! The food is great, people with tastebuds know it, and if you like Cajun/Creole you will appreciate the food at French Quarter. I also noticed the few complaints are from locals in Royersford who like to moan, and from our many many trips to French Quarter (all enjoyed), I can tell you I have witnessed the locals with issues. I can also say that these locals were pretty seedy characters: some were drunk, some were the types who whine about everything (one trio sat behind us and all we heard about was co-worker gossip or how the boss was "ruining" someone's life), and one mother-of-the-year had her 6-year-old out to dinner with her and her foul-mouthed friend at 9:30pm on a weeknight! So take the locals' complaints with a grain of salt. A few things: - They have a GREAT beer list. If you like beer you will be very happy. This place is the closest thing in the 'burbs to rival Monk's downtown. If you know beer, you know Monk's, and if you know Monk's you have a good idea of what kind of thorough & comprehensive list of beers this place has. The cocktails are fun too; a number of mixologized concoctions that are totally apropos of a NOLA mood. A+ on bar selections to accompany this kind of food! - When you approach this part of town it seems kind of sketch sometimes, but they have new street lights, newly paved sidewalks, and new residents/businesses moving in. Years ago it was more off-putting so I don't know if I even need to comment on the locale anymore, but for those who aren't familiar I will just say don't judge a book by its cover. This place is a diamond in the rough. - I call the decor tacky-fabulous. It is tacky + it is also fabulous. Yes, it can be both. I love to look at the blood-red paint on the walls and wonder what the painter had to drink while he was making crooked lines overlap onto the ceiling or dripping onto the wainscoting. I love the cheesy brothel-style curtains in the front windows, and the nylon plants that aren't even pretending to look real. I love the TJMaxx quality "paintings" of singing cartoon divas on the walls, and the plywood booths and bar that look like the 80's. I am SERIOUS when I say I love these elements, b/c I love how down-to-earth and unstreamlined it all is. It is not corporate, and it is not all fluff and show. This is a good reflection of the food: what you see is what you get. The focus is on food quality and food taste, not bs. That is what I like to spend my money on. - The food is comfort food, NOLA food, home-cooked, stick-to-your-ribs, eat-with-your-hands, down and dirty good food. When it's cold, when you need a pick-me-up, when you have an appetite, or when you just want to eat something savory and not-so-healthy, THIS IS THE PLACE. That is not to say that there isn't sophistication and art to the food, there is. If I wanted just a fatty mess there are plenty of fried takeout places close to me where I can get that fix. No, we trek 40 minutes to FQ for some very tasty, high quality fare, with depth, and for cajun-y, interesting tastes that we can't find closer (or farther for that matter). While this is by no means diet food, it is darn worth the calories for a delicious meal! Amen! - This is not a place for kids, and that is not a bad thing. There is a bar & a dining room and while it's not at all a fancy place, it's also not made for kids. And FQ is not pretending to be for kids either. They are what they are: a cajun joint for adults, and they're great the way they are. If your kids aren't old enough, don't bring them! (babysitter?) When I waitressed at a linens-and-fresh-flowers type of restaurant during my college summers, every so often people would bring kids. They would see that the dining room was filled with adults only, people dressed up, more than one fork, and no highchairs/crayons available, yet they would insist on being seated. Then they would complain about the limited child's menu (which was really just for lunch time), and complain there were no coloring books, then complain that service was not fast enough b/c the kids were hungry (yet the parents ordered gourmet adult entrees that are a bit more sophisticated than a grilled cheese, thus take longer), and so on. One 4-kid party tried to whine to the owner thinking they'd get a free meal voucher like it was the Ground Round--NOPE! The owner told them not to come back. While FQ doesn't have fresh flowers on all the tables & you can wear jeans, they DO have more than one fork, and that is your first clue that the aim of the establishment is to satisfy a palette a little more sophisticated than happy meal. I know it is annoying when you have kids and they aren't yet into the foods you like, but when you got pregnant you gave up your fine dining for a decade or so. That's life!

My brother and I went here for dinner not too long ago. Don't let the surroundings scare you away - it's in a somewhat run down area of Royersford on the edge of Spring City. The restaurant is by no means fancy but the interior is cozy and has a cool vibe to it, though one could hardly say it looks like an obvious transplant from Bourbon Street. For an appetizer we got fried pickles served with creole mustard. The crust was flaky and the tanginess of the pickles complimented the mustard perfectly. The fried pickles were followed by house salads with cornbread and butter, both of which were fine. I wished the cornbread had been moister and sweeter - personal preference. For my entree I got the sausage sampler with alligator, andouille, wild boar and chicken apple sausages served with mashed potatoes and sauerkraut braised with Guinness, red onions, applewood smoked bacon and brown sugar. The standouts of the dish were the wild boar, andouille and the sauerkraut. The only disappointment was the alligator sausage, it was not very good. I've had alligator before but this just tasted funky. My brother got the blackened crabcakes with creole mustard with mashed potatoes and Maque choux (corn, green bell pepper, tomatoes, onion, garlic and celery). He thought it was all delicious. Service from our waitress was friendly and fairly attentive though truthfully I thought it would have been more so than it was, especially considering that we were the only table in the entire restaurant for a good portion of the time we were there. The prices are a little on the high side in my opinion but the food is definitely original and they give healthy portions. All in all a good place to get some Cajun inspired food.

Ate in the bar last week. It was a Friday night I think, and COMPLETELY deserted. The decor needs some major help. It's on the very plain side, even in the main dining area. The menu is pretty decent though. Their sandwich selection is pretty delish and reasonable. I went with my dad this past week and he got the popcorn prawn sandwich which looked really good. I opted for the jalopeno pork sandwich, which was plentiful in pork but lacking just the slightest in the spicy department (although that might be because I eat hot peppers every day). We started off with the fried pickles though--- love love love! Their mustard sauce is to die for. And their light and crisp and have the perfect tang flavor. Service took a little long--maybe that was just because we were in a rush to make it to the movie theatre.

My all time favorite restaurant, firecracker shrimp to die for, awesome crab cakes. Have never been disappointed in food or service in the years we've been coming here.

I'm really in love with this place these days. As the weather turns cold and I'm less willing to drive to the city and walk for blocks I am finding myself going to this place weekly, except this week when I went twice. The food is great, the beer is great and the service is exactly what we like, friendly and attentive without being annoying. The firecracker shrimp is SPICY and has an amazing flavor, and they do pizza on sundays, but one pizza is too much for one person, but not enough for two. Also got the skillet fried chicken, can't stop eating the mushroom sauce that comes on top. It's a great little treasure hidden in suburbia!

Went there last night for the first time. The food was great although I thought it was pricey for what you got. The firecracker shrimp was delicious but a small plate of rice with 4 shrimp and some sauce was not worth $10. It's definitely NOT shareable in my opinion. I had a plain cheeseburger while my husband had a deep fried one- he said it was the best cheeseburger in his life. $3 Magic Hats on Saturdays from 8-12 is why we went; it's hubby's favorite beer and you'll never find it anywhere for that cheap!! Our bill ended up being about $70 which isn't bad. We're definitely going to have to go on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for the specials next time!

Fabulous Cajun food. Very creative and tasty martinis. Love the beer selection. I highly recommend the crab cakes.

Creative menu, large crispy wings (we buy the sauce to keep in the frig). Try the deep fried pickles!! Never had them before and to be honest initially didn't sound appealing but they are awesome!

This is one of my favorite restaurants. I have never had a bad meal here. From the crab cakes, to the stuffed salmon, to the steaks, and the jambalaya. Every dish is phenomenal. The martini's are also fantastic! I've even tried the vegetarian dishes. Yum!

I love going to The Bistro. When the wife and I lived on Main St a few years back, we'd just walk down there every Thursday for dinner. The service was always at least decent and the food on point. That said...sometimes, it all just takes a while. The beer selection is good and the chef knows what he's doing. I was very disappointed when they took the non-seafood gumbo and the chicken poboy off the menu, but you can still get one (for a premium) if you specially request it. The cornbread is terrific, of course. I've never run into problems with undercooked or poorly-flavored food...everyone's taste is a little different, of course. If you're looking for a casual dinner out or a regular pub, this is the best you'll find in Royersford.

Even though it doesn't totally resemble fare from the Big Easy, it is decent for this area, where establishments think they have to burn something to make it seem like authentic food from the Mississippi Delta. (There is too much pasta on the menu, but I guess that must be some sort of requirement these days). My wife usually orders a fried chicken dish, with a cheese sauce, that they don't have on the menu anymore but will make it if you ask. Last time we were there I had crabcakes which were very good. I haven't had the crawfish etouffee for awhile, but the last time I had it it was decent. At least the poor little "mud bugs" don't get turned into pencil erasers here, like at some places. And, thank God, the chef doesn't come out and yell "BAM"!!

We've been here several times over the past couple of years and we've always found the food to be very good, but our problem with this place is the service. Plan on waiting quite a while for your food and we always have to ask for refills. Our most recent visit was a couple of nights ago on a Tuesday night. The place was packed and this was the first time we have ever seen it that busy. As other reviewers have pointed out, it's usually pretty dead in there. There were two tables left when we got there, so we were immediately seated. By the time we ate and got the bill, it was just shy of two hours later! If it was just my wife and I, we could have dealt with it, but we had our 5 year old and 4 month old with us and it was just to long of an outing for them. Speaking of kids, while they do have a kids menu, it's not the most kid friendly place. No kid friendly cups and they advertise chocolate milk on the kids menu, but the waiter told us it's made with half and half and even he wouldn't drink it. My son wound up drinking orange juice and eating nothing since he's a picky eater to begin with. While they do have pizza on the menu, they only serve it Sundays and Mondays; otherwise, my son could have eaten that. At the end of the day, I'm sure we'll go back from time to time as we do really like the food here, but it will just be my wife and I going in the future.

Not the fanciest decor out there but the food is great. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary there two months ago and we had a great time. She had the lobster mac and cheese and I had the Etoufee. I have been to New Orleans twice and the Etoufee was as good as Louisiana. The bar area looks just like bars in New Orleans. I think people in the Northeast expect every bar to look like an Irish pub. Most bars in New Orleans are very simple and this place emulates that.

Weekday dinner experience here a few months ago was not all that impressive. The decor and atmosphere needs help. Mixed drinks from the bar were not upto par, though they did seem to have a good selection of beer. The portions were huge, but I would have preferred higher quality ingredients. The owners have opened a sandwich shop in Collegeville, which has some awesome food, including a killer gumbo.

Good food at a fair price. Beer selection is one of the best around. More than a dozen rotating on tap and almost 50 more in bottles. $5 all you can eat wing night on Tuesday can't be beat.

I've lived in Rofo for over a year now and always made the assumption that this place must be a dump due to it's location. While having drinks one night with some friends in KoP, a few of them had asked if I'd ever been to FQB. They all said it was a great hole in the wall and that I had to try it. So I did the next day. I chose to dine with my friend at the bar rather than the restaurant. Bartender was friendly which always makes me happy. We ordered gumbo as an appetizer which was very, very good. I'm a Southern native with family/friends from Louisiana so I've had my fair share of amazing gumbos, and although this one was "different" in flavor that I'm used to, I was impressed. Only thing, they don't serve crackers or bread with it, which they should. My friend ordered a burger and I ordered the craw fish po-boy with voodoo sauce added on (I like it spicy). I couldn't believe how good both of these dishes were! So flavorful and just simply delicious. How have I passed this place up for so long? The other plus, maybe even the better plus, the craft beers they have on tap were sooo good. I'm quite the craft beer connoisseur and was elated to find beers that are often difficult to find. You can also take these great beers to go. Go here! It's goooood!

Good Food Good Beer If you are a good person. You can't go wrong, from Etouffee to WINGS it's all specially different from anything you have ever tasted. This place and its staff work hard. I moved out here 6 years ago and have been eating here the whole time. I have never had a problem with this place. Everyone here(eating, working, drinking, cleaning) is nice, even the scary looking dudes. There are two things that bring people here and that's GOOD CAJUN FOOD and GOOD BEER...CHEAP. Go in and Say What's Up and order whatever sounds good because it probably is! PS. Their version of a Bloody Mary is too good to put into words.

The neighborhood was not what we expected - not bad, just sort of quiet and forgotten. But on the other hand we found free street parking right in front of the restaurant. When we walked in there was only one table filled. This was a Sunday night around 6:00. Not a good sign. Our party of four was pretty nervous - we expected the worst. But the food turned out to be really good and the prices very reasonable! The salad greens were super-fresh, the horseradish mustard dressing I tried was really unique and tasty. We tried and loved the fried pickles and the fried tomatoes with crab and creole sauce. For entrees we had the BBQ pork sandwich, the BBQ pork platter, pork with jalepenos and the popcorn Po-boy sandwich. Each of us loved our selection and we had tons left over too. The service was OK, but servers need a little more polish and some training (way too timid and not as knowledgeable as a server should be). But they were certainly polite and friendly. I don't live near Royersford, but if I ever have a reason to be in that area again, I would definitely eat here.

one of the few places i LOVE no matter what. you can tell the owners and staff genuinely care and want to make your visit enjoyable. the suggestions they make seem to come from the heart rather than a want to upsell to make bigger tips. they give a sense of a welcomed closeness that chain restaurants cannot. the bartenders are always friendly and knowledgeable and their beer list is unmatched by any in the local area. They surprise me by the great craft tap beer they have different every time i visit. the best part about this hidden gem is THE FOOD! havent had a bad meal yet and i cant wait to work my way through the rest of the menu. on my most recent visit i had the firecracker shrimp appetizer which were spiced to just the perfect amount of heat. nothing too crazy, but a definite bang. I had the crab cakes for dinner with are TO DIE FOR. the only complaint i had the one time is that the food took a little long, but after the waitress explained that all ingredients are fresh and all meals made to order, i retracted my complaint. id rather wait a little (and the wait was nothing too bad) for quality fresh baked food, than receive a microwaved freezer burnt plate thrown together any day!

What a great little place tucked away in "downtown" Royersford. I used to drive by this place everyday not realizing what was inside. When I finally did stop in, I was impressed to say the least. I agree with another yelper that the interior decor could be freshened up a bit, but the food is what I was after. It's been awhile, but they had a dish called Carnival Jambalya which was lobster, crawfish and something else (I wanna say crab, but not 100% sure) but whatever it was it was the BEST I have ever tasted. Haven't seen that dish back on the menu since that night, but we've been back a few times and have never had a bad meal. The staff is usually prompt and attentive. It's a shame they have such a weird location because they could probably do much better up near the rest of the action in a strip mall on Ridge Pike or Township Line road I haven't been to the sandwich shop yet but if it's anything like this place I'm sure the food is incredible. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed (and if they still have it, try the alligator sausage....yummy!!)

My wife and I hoped this would be a great place to eat esp from all the positive reviews. We had dinner there and the food was bad. Seafood was far from fresh and the place was dirty. You can see dead bugs where we sat. The food was bad and overpriced. No idea why this place has good reviews.

I've had take-out from this place several times. It's consistently very good food. A little on the pricey side, but a great selection. I only rated it lower than the previous reviewer because I'm just stingy that way. Good food, nice local establishment, excellent vibe. Plus, a decent website that actually lets you find the menu without searching for hours.

don't be fooled by the quaint, off-putting store front, this little french eatery is a great little local secret. so secret that when my girlfriend told me we were going there to eat, i drove right by and thought she was joking. she wasn't. this place has a great french/creole menu that includes pricey high end french and cheap spicy sandwiches - that all seem phenomenal. i had a crabcake sandwich and my lovely date had some crazy shrimp creole concoction that tasted wonderful! to add to the great food, they had a pretty decent listing of good micro-brews, both on tap and in bottle. and finally, while the atmosphere was definitely that of a local eatery, they were playing the most wonderful blues music i've ever heard. the waitress said it was fats domino, but of all the fats i've heard it's not blues, so i don't know. but this i definitely recommend eating here!

The French Quarter Bistro was a pleasant surprise. I have lived in Royersford for 8 years and never tried this place which is only 2 miles from my house. The dinning room is nicely lite, with hardwood floors and white linings on each table. Causal dress atmosphere with a great waiter staff. I started with the fried pickles, which are one of my favorite appetizers and they did not disappoint. I then had the seafood jambalaya which had just the right a amount of heat. I asked for more, but would recommend not doing this. Great portion size and best of all a fantastic craft beer selection on tap. They also have a good selection of wine speciality drinks. Thursday nights is burger night for $6:00, that will be my next time to drop in. I highly recommend trying the French Quarter Bistro, you will not be disappointed.

Everyone seems to rave about this place on here, so when it was the only place in Rofo that was getting that kind of review and was also open for dinner, we decided to give it a shot. The service is really good. They're kind and attentive and genuinely seem to want to do a good job. The food though...felt either frozen or totally just thrown together. I asked for real cheese on nachos and it came in a flat plastic layer, overcooked in most parts and lacking any BBQ pork. I was too hungry to point this out and just dealt with it, but my kids can make better nachos... The burger my husband got was ok, nothing more nothing less. The sriacha sesame wings had a nice flavor but they weren't crispy at all. And I ordered a Diet Coke that didn't taste anything like Diet Coke. (It's fine if it isn't, but say so before serving!) Needless to say, we wouldn't go back. I feel badly cause I really enjoy finding a "diamond in the rough" but this just isn't one.

This restaurant sadly tries it's best but keeps falling down in the process. The service is not very attentive even when there are only a few customers. The food tends to be overcooked and over seasoned. The bar tender and hostess are very very nice and friendly. Unfortunately as I said the service is slow blaming the kitchen. I have been several times and sadly been disappointed each time.

Used to be a favorite of the family. We bought take out. My oldest son complained about a funny taste in his cole slaw, after smelling it I encouraged him to throw it away. My 13 year old had BBQ pulled pork and it was too salty to eat. I had the ahi tuna which came with a salad. The salad was covered in black holes and the cucumbers had rotten spots. The tuna was the worst I ever had anywhere. I almost always order some type of fish when I eat out and was very disappointed. The one bite I took I immediately spit out. It was a very expensive meal to throw the entire thing in the garbage. Not sure what happened in the year since we ate there but I highly doubt we'll ever go back.

Valentine's dinner! Ordered the fired catfish. Fiancee ordered the filet mignon. Not authentic French but very good Louisiana style French. Good seasoned and cooked well but the saucy sauce may not be good fore all. I would recommend order the sides on the side. This way you can mix and match what you'd like. He bartender made a good gin and tonic but the other mixed drinks were too strong to taste. Our waitress was too nice for us to send it back. Nice place, nice people, ok food. Enjoy!

This place looks crazy from the outside so I did not go into it for a long time, then I finally did. The bar in the back is nice and the beer on tap is great. The people are awesome that work at the bar are crazy cool. The best part about this place is the food, the damn food is great! I have had several things (probably six meals) and they were all good. Plus a good to go selection of beer. A must try, sit at the bar.

The food is very good. This is really 4.5 stars. I really love all the appetizers, the burgers are fantastic. Last night we had fried catfish po boy, really tasty and VEGAN Korean chicken tacos. Love love they have vegan and vegetarian options.

Had a great meal last night, everything we order was amazing.

I really love this place. Been here a few times, and I have never had anything that didn't taste delicious. We came recently on a rainy Monday night and there weren't many people there, But I loved the laid-back vibe and the ambience. Our waiter was very friendly and personable. He was just learning, so maybe he wasn't the best quite yet, but he made up for it in personality and concern for our needs. The beer selection is great, perhaps not huge, but they have any style you would like. The cornbread that they bring to the table is delicious and generous, and the food is not overpriced at all, in my opinion, for the portions you get. I brought my children, and for $4.50 each they got a kids meal that was delicious and way too much food for them. The mac & cheese they serve is not your boxed stuff. Oh no! They had paper on the tables that the kids could color on, and although I wouldn't call this a typical place for kids, they loved it. My friend and I got the gumbo and the bisque to start, and both were very filling and absolutely delicious. Maybe on the salty side, but that's what I love so....score. I got the catfish taco, and the portions were very generous for the price. The flavors were perfect together, and I was very pleased. I saw that someone else commented on here that they got the tacos and after eating three of them they were still hungry... I do not see how that's possible. I could only manage to eat one of my huge tacos after the bisque and cornbread. I took the other one to go home, and the kids took a lot of their meal to go home as well. With two beers, two entrées, two soups, and two kids meals we still clocked in at $40. They were running a special where you get half off your entrée if you get a soup or an appetizer. That is a great deal in my eyes! I will definitely be back!!
(5)Julie R.

(5)Shauna S.
It is like a wonderful pile of unhealthy goodness.

good and bad. Thought the burgers are small for $10, comes with packaged chips and very small cup of commercial slaw. the chicken entrée we ordered was good It took forvever for our meals to arrive. Entrees do come with a salad which accounts for why the prices may seem a little high. No wine list and no prices on the drinks which makes annoyed, Will try it again.

(4)Karen M.

You must try the Cajun corn bread! mmmm

Our family had dinner here tonight. I had been wanting to eat here since we moved to the area about 2 months ago. The restaurant seems like it has two sides. When you enter the front it's very quiet and nice. White table cloths and a small votive on each table add to the upscale feel. Once you head to the back there's a small section of tables and then a bar area. We were seated in the back area by the bar. I'm pretty sure they did this since we had younger kids and the back area is more of a relaxed dining area where you can be a little louder. We started with an appetizer of crawfish tails in the garlic butter sauce. It was plate lickingly good. The kids ordered Mac and cheese and an upside down pizza. Both entree were good sized and well prepared. I appreciate that the Mac and cheese wasn't just Kraft Mac that they throw in the microwave and charge $4.00 for. This Mac and cheese was a well made cheese sauce with sliced hot dogs. My daughter loved the cheesy gooey dish. My son's pizza was flavorful and cheesy. The dough was chewy and soft on the inside. I ordered the étouffée. It was absolutely perfect. The rice was perfectly cooked and the sauce was rich and a tad spicy. My husband ordered the pulled pork. I thought the BBQ sauce was a little on the sweet side but the mashed potatoes and the sauce served on top were amazing. The only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars was the service seemed a little slow. She was a very nice server and got us everything we needed she just wasn't particularly quick. All in all it was a very enjoyable meal with left overs too. I look forward to my next meal there.

(5)Bruce K.
Went Friday night. The food was delicious from the appetizers to the main course. The pricing was very reasonable as well. The service was tremendous also. I look forward to going back in the near future
(5)Jay S.
(4)Matthew B.
(3)Amberlynne F.
(4)David E.
The food here is absolutely amazing. I got the catfish topped with crawfish étouffée and a side of bacon mac and cheese. The dish was on the sweet side but absolutely spot on. Portions were large and the flavor was excellent. I suggest the drive to hit the bistro and grab a nice ale on tap.

(5)Peter S.

My food came out cold and it was just ok. The servers were real nice though. Cool place for drinks.

Went here last night for a late night drink with a friend of mine. Suprisingly extensive tap list and super friendly bartenders and patrons. I will definately be coming back to this place. Hopefully, I'll be able to show up earlier and get be able to try the food!

Dined here April 5th, Sat., Erin was our server. We had the Cajun special for $20 each which included one soup/gumbo, salad and entree. We had crawfish bisque, gumbo, salads, crawfish étouffée, jambalaya and cornbread! Everything was fantastic! Entree portions were huge! Étouffée had the best roux I ever had! Jambalaya had tons of shrimp and andouille sausage, very flavorful! Beer selection was over the top! Erin was very knowledgeable about the craft brews. We also noticed how attentive all the staff was in the dining room! We can't wait to return!

(1)M D.

No complaints. Food was excellent. Vegetarian selections. Large portions. Will go back for lunch soon

(3)Arin S.

(5)Gina H.
(4)Alex K.
Fabulous Cajun food. Very creative and tasty martinis. Love the beer selection. I highly recommend the crab cakes.
(4)Jon B.
Creative menu, large crispy wings (we buy the sauce to keep in the frig). Try the deep fried pickles!! Never had them before and to be honest initially didn't sound appealing but they are awesome!
(4)Julie V.
This is one of my favorite restaurants. I have never had a bad meal here. From the crab cakes, to the stuffed salmon, to the steaks, and the jambalaya. Every dish is phenomenal. The martini's are also fantastic! I've even tried the vegetarian dishes. Yum!
(5)Mat L.
(4)Michael R.
(4)Greg L.
(3)John C.
(5)Percy N.
(3)Steven S.
Good food at a fair price. Beer selection is one of the best around. More than a dozen rotating on tap and almost 50 more in bottles. $5 all you can eat wing night on Tuesday can't be beat.
(4)Tanya K.
(5)Jim V.
(5)Monica C.

(1)Nathan R.

(4)Mike S.
(5)Brady K.
