Ok, not great.... and the prices are too high to justify getting past the "ok, not great." As someone in our group said, "they're just trying too hard." The appetizers were just basic bar appetizers at higher-end restaurant prices. One of us had ravioli for our entree -- it was a mushroom ravioli with a very strong mushroom flavor, on a plate with two different sauces (one tomato, one some kind of blended vegetables), with fried onions on top. Too many unnecessary and pungent flavors in one dish. Someone else had ribs and said, "they're okay - but the Texas Roadhouse is much better...." which kind of sums it up! Alcohol was in the average price range: $3-4 for a draft beer, $8.00 for a glass of wine. The restaurant itself is beautiful and, although loud, not too loud... .it was *packed* and we could hear each other without any effort.... in terms of decor and ambiance and service (which was outstanding), it can't be beat. But in terms of the food -- there is definitely room for improvement.

I was just at The Copperfield for lunch, what a shame. Our server was funny and accommodating, but after the food came you could tell he was kind of bracing himself for us to send the food back. Everything on the menu looked fantastic, and I imagine if they had a chef that knew what he was doing, everything would have tasted as good as it was described. I had the Crab Cake sandwich, listed as coming on Brioche with tartar sauce, tomato, and lettuce. I got it with fruit. When the food was served, it looked good. Nice presentation. But the lettuce was wilted and rubbery, the tartar sauce was bland, and the crab cake was terribly salty. There were huge lumps of crabmeat which was nice, but a shame because it was inedible. And the Brioche was nowhere to be found. This $15 sandwich was served on a greasy potato roll. My sisters grilled three cheese sandwich was a brick, and my brother's panini was a bland, oily mess. We packed the food to feed to the dogs. If the folks at copperfield want to keep any business, I highly suggest they find some new help in the kitchen. We did get 2 appetizers, cheese quesadillas and garlic hummus. the hummus and accompanying tapenade were dull and flavorless, which I found interesting. These items should be naturally bursting with flavor, but it seemed like they went out of their way to make it boring. And I'm 99 percent positive the salsa and guacamole were absolutely not made anywhere near the restaurant. Maybe some day I'll end up back there, but I certainly won't be making a special trip anytime soon. And it only gets two stars because Keno was so good. Hostess was pleasant as well.

Very, very slow service. Out of three meals, two were very poor, third was average. Prices were for average or above. I will not return or recommend

A group of Red Hat Ladies reserved the Copper Room for our annual Christmas Dinner Gathering. The room was decorated lovely. The table was set with candles and greens. The entire room made us feel at home. There were 13 of us. The service was fantastic; the food was delicious and the atmosphere was superb. We had a gift exchange and a fun time was had by all. We voted this the best dinner gathering we've had. We will definitely be back.

Good food, the kitchen definitely wants to put out a great plate. I say that because the plates were garnished with an edible flower. That means they don't mind puttin out some more money for a great presentation. On the other hand, there was only one server.... And that's why I took away a star. Come on, this is you FOH, at $3 an hour you can put one more on for your guests. Now I get that it's a Monday and it's slow but if the service was a bit more efficient we most likely would have gotten a dessert.

Fabulous food. Wonderful wait staff. However, during tonight's visit, neither a nearby table's waiter nor restaurant management ever asked parents who were ignoring and distracting their two-year-old with a LOUD video game to turn down the volume or turn off the OBNOXIOUS device entirely. If I wanted to hear tinny game music while I ate, I would have stayed home. The parents and their table guests were OBLIVIOUS to anyone other than themselves. When I complained to the MANAGER on my way out the door, her response was to say "sorry" a dozen times and to blame ME for not asking to for my husband and I to be moved elsewhere earlier in the evening. REALLY? Just move me and my husband and let the other guests putting up with the unacceptable noise fend for themselves? Fabulous food. Wonderful wait staff. POOR MANAGEMENT CUSTOMER SERVICE POLICIES...... STAY AWAY !!!!!!

I checked out this place after purchasing a Groupon. Besides the great service we received and the creme brulee, everything else was an overall disappointment. I went with the BF, sister, and my toddler, so we ordered a wide variety of foods. I ordered the crab cake served with rice and veggies. BF ordered the steak tips. Sister ordered the Chicken Parm. Toddler had the cheeseburger . My crab cake was dry, but very crabby. Rice was bland and veggies were soggy. My sisters Chicken Parm had no flavor at all. BF, steak tips were ok, but not worth the $20 spent. I didn't try the cheeseburger, but my daughter seemed pleased. Overall, this placed is overpriced and the food is under flavored. The service was great and it ended on a high note when I ordered the creme brulee. The rest of the table ordered the cookies, but complained they tasted old and stale. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

Our family has gone back a few times now and we are more displeased each time. The service continues to be extremely slow. We went for their brunch recently and were not impressed with any of the selection. We have moved on from this place.

Just went there for brunch. Staff was really, really nice. We were nervous taking our baby out but the staff made us feel very comfortable. Food was pretty good. You'd be hard pressed to find another omellete bar for $13.

Friday night dinner. I liked the atmosphere there. Italian Wedding soup was very good. Tried the Veal Picatta. The veal was excellent. Very good taste and done perfectly. Very tender as it should be. Pricing was reasonable and the service was top notch. We will return very soon for another enjoyable meal

I tried this place at the recommendation of my husband. I took my kids and my friend with her kids on a sunday afternoon. We were greeted and seated quickly. I appreciated that since we had kids they sat us in a private dining area. They serve brunch on Sundays until 2. They also only offer their bar menu on Sundays, which includes appetizers, sandwiches, and salads. My kids wanted to do the brunch buffet. I ordered the filet sandwich, my friend ordered the ham and gouda sandwich, and her kid ordered the kid's pasta. Our drinks took quite a while to get to the table. I also ordered a mimosa once she came with our waters. The buffet was very mediocre. The scrambled eggs seemed like they were made from powder eggs. They do offer an omelette station, but my kids didn't partake of that. They had a rolled chicken dish and some tortellini as the lunch dishes for the buffet. The chicken was a tad dry and not super flavorful. A while after we ordered the server came back to let me know they were out of chips. So I ordered fruit instead, but specified that I could not have melon. She came back and informed me that they use the same knife to cut the other fruit that they do the melon so if I was allergic I should not get the fruit. I went along with it even though I thought that a washed knife shouldn't carry over melon juice. I went with the french fries at that point. She also brought me out some pita chips too which was thoughtful. The fries were probably the best thing on the table. My sandwich I ordered mid-rare came out mid-well, but it was still really good. My friend's sandwich was really good as well. I'm not a big fan of ham, but I still really liked it. My mimosa finally made it to the table once we had our food. The kids meals come with dessert which I though was nice. When we finally got our checks our server took almost 20 minutes to come back to cash us out. We were about to go out and look for her since our kids were getting to the point of restlessness. Overall, I don't think I'd go out of my way to eat here especially for brunch. They charge 8.99 for a kids brunch which seems really high for the quality. Luckily they only charged for my 6 year old and not my 4 year old. My mimosa was only $3 so that wasn't bad. I'm not sure if my sandwich was worth $14 but it was pretty tasty.

I went to Copperfields for dinner with my parents and my baby. The hostess was very accommodating and let us pick a booth that was more towards the back and brought us a highchair. The booth was large and comfortable. I ordered the steakhouse salad and it was very filling. The steak was cooked medium and very juicy. The horseradish dressing was so creamy. My mom got the crab and asparagus pasta and said it was delicious. My dad's wings were good but I like them to be a little bit crispier. My pomegranate martini was a little too strong for me but our waitress offered to add more juice to it but I just switched to a beer. Overall it was a good meal and I would definitely come back.

This place is so forgettable I had to check the receipt to write this review. Saturday night for dinner the place was packed, for what reason, I've no clue. We were seated quickly but were outnumbered by families with many children so we opted for a high top at the bar. I guess we traded adult ambiance for s-l-o-w service. My "freshly-brewed" iced tea, although it came in a notably generously-sized glass, was an instant mix - like the kind you can get in most Chinese sit-down restaurants, gross. Clearly they were pushing me toward an alcoholic beverage. I had a nice Sam Adams Winter brew on tap. They had both nice draft selections as well as plenty of bottles. I ordered a Caesar salad with a steak "enhancement" - it was really just okay. Dinner for two with drinks came in under $65, excluding the tip, which I thought was very pricey for the quality of food.

We went on a quiet night and reservation were not necessary. We were seated and served quickly even though the food might be slightly over priced for what it was. The one thing my wife and I noticed was we were the youngest ones in the restaurant by at easy 25 years! There was a group that saw us and our 2 children (infant and 4 year old) and they looked like deer in headlights. They almost switched seats out of fear haha! The keyboard lady singing kind of gave it a old folks home feel (in her defense she was pretty good!)

My boyfriend and I go to the Copperfield inn often for the Sunday brunch buffet. We've never had a bad experience. The staff is always friendly and helpful, but you don't need a ton of attention for a buffet. One waitress always remembers my son and brings him crayons when she can see he is getting bored. The food is reliably good every time we go, and the $3 mimosa special is our favorite. My family also went to their Easter brunch buffet, and everyone left so satisfied that we made reservations for Mother's Day brunch too! I still haven't been in for lunch or dinner, but if you're looking for a good brunch buffet in the area, I always recommend the Copperfield Inn!

We went for Mother's Day brunch. Despite reservation we were 15 minutes delayed. Food was ok. Nothing exceptional. Service was ok too. Not a place for an epicure but ok

One of the worst sunday Brunches I have ever eaten. Frozen precooked shrimp, roast chicken was only dark meat, prepackaged blintz with an attempted cherry sauce, and the Eggs Benedict was shameful at best. I felt like I was part of a herd of cattle at the trough. Buffet table had no decoration that stood out just chafers lined up to feed the masses. I could have found a better brunch elsewhere, and next Easter I will.

Not impressed with this place. From the outside it looked like we were in for good service and great food. Despite the place not being very busy, we barely saw our server. When I asked for a refill on water, she took so long I thought she forgot. Everyone's entrees looked delicious, but unfortunately the chicken skewer app that I ordered for my meal had an off texture, almost like it was under cooked. When I spoke with the server about it, she didn't offer to take the plate away, send a manager, or bring me a menu to order something else. Hoping to end on a good night, we ordered the brownie sundae for dessert. The ice cream was delicious and creamy but the brownies were dry and not very appetizing. Lastly, you can tell a lot by a restaurants bathrooms. The bathrooms had toilet paper all over the floors and spilled soap all over the sink counter. This is somewhere I will not be going back to eat.

I've been to this restaurant about a dozen times, including a holiday brunch. Atmosphere is nice, wait staff is friendly, and the food is enjoyable. On my last trip (Friday for lunch)I had the Chicken Parmesan with a Waldorf salad. Salad was good. The chicken in the chicken parm was cooked nicely, however, I found the marinara sauce to be bland. The angel hair pasta was cooked perfectly as well, but it was in the same sauce. I love a good chicken parm and if I crave it again, next time I'm going to go to Bravo Pizza to fill the void. Update- we've eaten here more and more over the past 6 months, including doing some regular take out orders. What my family has found to be ABSOLUTELY delicious is the chicken francaise. It's been consistently good here. It's hard for us to want to try something else because we love it so much. Recently I had the crab and asparagus pasta dish which I thought was ok. Everything seemed well prepared, but the combination didn't compliment itself as well as the chicken dish we love. The wait staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is tasteful.

Avoid this place and it's companion in Collegeville da Vinci's... The food is mediocre( think cafeteria food)- if you want to pay for quality food and get subpar food then this is your place. Service gets worse every time I go. However, If u sticks to drinks and bar food you will probably be ok here but you will pay more than other similar food spots close by. This place is sad because it has potential but poor service, poor quality of food, at a price set for higher quality food...keeps me driving by and not stopping in. Brunch is bad here.

Have been in quite a few times for lunch and an after work drink. Very quiet and calming feel. The crab quesadillas are phenomenal and the Leffe is always cold! Just ordered for 35 people on short notice for a baby shower. Pulled pork and roast beef were well prepared and the broccoli rabe was great. The rolls come from collegeville bakery and were really fresh. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for catering.

Things have really seemed to go downhill here. We used to go here a lot and always had good service and good food. Recently service was extremely slow and one person in our group didn't get their meal until the rest of us were on dessert. It was a fun joke for us but a terrible show of service

I've been here a few times. My fiance and I found the service and food to be very good. Sometimes they have live music and great deals on drinks during happy hour. They also host private events.

    - Best scallops I ever had - Outstanding shrimp - Very good BBQ chicken appetizers - House-made potato chips - Good linguini - Great friendly service, although a little slow, but that's OK when you're with friends

I have two words for you "BLUE HAIR." Yep, if you are a senior citizen on a budget, or have no taste buds left and have a 2 for 1 coupon, then this is your spot. I watched the food delivery truck pull up, I think they bought anything and everything from the frozen selection. Frozen meats, frozen fish, frozen potatoes, FROZEN TASTE!!! But I'm certain the vegetables weren't frozen, they were definitely canned. So if you can thaw some bland proteins and starches and have a can opener, you could be a chef here. No creativity or taste buds required. Service was so ridiculously poor as well. I can't really blame the servers though. With ingredients like these and what is certain to be a poor or bad meal, I might not be so eager to wait on what also may be a discounted bill and a small tip. Do I really need to say anything more. This place isn't worth the time. Oh, the same owners run DaVinci's in Collegeville. I could copy and paste this review for that restaurant as well. IF YOU ENJOYED MY REVIEW, PLEASE RATE IT AND SEND ME A COMMENT!

Nice ambience, average service, clean bathroom. Food was just OK. I had London broil with their chili. Key lime cheesecake was very good as an upside!

Went there for a Sunday brunch buffet and it was actually pretty decent, a great selection of food for the price, awesome omelette bar, great desserts, etc. BUT, we went back during a normal weekday and experienced slow service, bland and overpriced food, and we were surrounded by senior citizens (it was really bizarre, we lowered the average age by about 40). If their prices were more reasonable, the review would be bumped up a star, but paying that much for the chef to not give a damn about seasoning my pasta dish and the wife's steak was almost insulting. Recommend ONLY for the breakfast buffet!

Visited Friday, 2/17/12 with a reservation. Were seated very quickly, but the waitress warned the chef was backed up. We ordered cocktails and wine. Drinks came realtively quickly; a very nice Rob Roy and a decent Pinot Noir. The Tapas appetizer was excellent: panko encrusted goat cheese, empanadas, springs rolls, an artichoke dip - all excellent, nicely seasoned and delicious. Then the wait. We ordered a second round of drinks and waited some more. The food arrived nicely plated: beef medallions with baked potato and haricot verts and the special sea food fra diavolo over fettucini. Both dishes were very tasty, but, unfortunately cold! We normally would have asked for the food to be heated, but because of the wait and the obviously harried wait staff, decided to eat the dinner as it was served. The fra diavolo was decent; the steak really needed to be served much hotter. It's unfortunate because it came as ordered: medium rare. A cold baked potato is always a disappointment and the green beans were al dente, but at room temperature, were not acceptable. The dessert list was good, and we shared a decent chocolate cake concoction with coffee. We'll try it again, but perhaps not on a Friday night.

We sat in the bar area and had a wonderful server. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. I got the chicken crepes with a salad. Yummy! My husband got the pork porterhouse and it was very flavorful but could have done with 2 less minutes on the grill. Our entrees were $15 and $18 so our bill was very reasonable for the amount and quality of food. And I can't forget the atmosphere. This place is so cozy and comfortable. We will definitely be back!

We were there again and things were not so good. (I had a feeling that, once they obtained their liquor license, things might take a dive, since that happens so often with restaurants in this area.) I would try it a third time, but if it turns out to be sliding downhill into expensive mediocrity, that will be the last visit.

Great food. I judge a restaurant by the salad. The salad was fresh spring mix, homemade croutons.,cucumbers and cherry tomatoes. A+ in my book. My husband had meatloaf which he enjoyed. I had grilled three cheese. My sandwich was good but I wish they had a vegetarian entree or two on the dinner menu. Dessert was excellent. Homemade cheesecake. I probably won't go back unless they add more vegetarian food. But we enjoyed our date night.

It is my personal policy to never go to a new restaurant for at least three months in order to give them time to work out all the kinks to opening a restaurant (to which there are many). With that being said, I took some family members there to check out what they did with the place since the last time it was open. It wasn't very busy when we got there, and it didn't get any busier the entire time that we were there. The server was very nice, but didn't know the menu very well. He also knew nothing about the one or two micro brews that were on tap. The food was average at best and very disappointing considering the price of everything. We figured out why it wasn't busy then and why it never seems busy when we drive by; which is often since we live in the area. The funny thing is when I drove by the other day, the sign out front said "Voted best Restaurant". I want to know by who? Their mother? Bottom line is, It's just another bland restaurant with nothing exceptional to offer. Skip it and go somewhere else.
