We went here on a Sunday night with our daughter, son-in-law and grandkids in tow. Not being familiar with the place, I started reading the menu on the wall until a man behind the counter pointed out the menus to me. We all decided to get pizza even though some of the subs sounded positively delicious. The large pizza makes for a filling meal for two. We all stuck to the traditional pizza. Ordering is simple enough. However, I think their payment method is kind of odd --- You pay for your food after you eat. I guess that works out fine for them---they must remember what you order. After eating, we went up to the counter and told them what we had, they totaled it up, told us the amount and we paid. Then we were given 4 magnets that were in the shape of a pizza slice. When you collect the whole pie, you bring them back for a free pizza. As for the pizza --- Palermo's is the kind of place I took for granted growing up in the Northeast---A place that's mainly a pizza joint but has subs, pasta dishes, and salads. Some joints, like Palermo's, also offer up Greek dishes but what was unique to Palermo's is that they also offer up Israeli dishes! These are the kinds of pizza joints you go to and come to expect a decent pizza---a nice thin crust pie with flavorful sauce and a generous portion of cheese. I hesitate to give Palermo's 4 stars because I found the sauce to be on the sweet side---not sickeningly sweet but sweet enough that you immediately pick up on it. Otherwise, the crust was done right and the cheese portion was generous. Our daughter and son-in-law liked it enough to say that they will return. As for me, when we return with them, I'm trying one of their subs!

On my second visit I decided that this place was at least 4 stars. Love the staff; friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have a great dining experience. The pizza was good. Perfect for folding and had a tasty crust. The Greek salad is enough for 3 to share, with lots of Kalamata olives and feta. Great hoagies too. Worthwhile.

I had a slice of plain pizza to go and it was probably the most memorable suburban pizza experience I have had. Perfect sauce to cheese ratio, perfect crust, just all in all delicious. I'm only sad that I don't live closer.

Some of the best food around! I lived in the Rofo area for years and went to Palermo's from the day it opened until the day I moved - just about every day for lunch. Asaf, the owner, is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. His staff mirrors his great customer service. The food is delicious. The pizza is the best pizza in PA - this Jersey girl knows!! Their subs are fantastic - the meatballs are ALMOST as good as my mama's! The salads are always fresh and HUGE - the Greek is my favorite. The Mediterranean platter is one of my favorite things on the menu - the falaffel and hummus are just to die for!

I have really only tried the pizza, but I must say I am impressed. The sauce is on the sweet side, but not overly sweet like ketchup. The crust is thin and cooked well. The cheese is a nice blend and balanced well to the sauce ratio. The price is nice and the staff is friendly. The large is about 8 slices which is more than enough for two people. Only thing that sets them back is that they do not deliver.

I used to LOVE Palermo's until I had a bad experience. We ordered a sicilian sausage pizza and there was hardly any sausage on our pizza! I called and spoke to some teenager (i think they need to hire less bitchy girls that know more about customer service cuz they all act like they would rather stick a pencil in their eye than be working there) who acted like i was lying. I wasn't about to drive back to show them my pizza- which i shouldn't have to do since it was their mistake. Needless to say they refunded me a whole $2.50 (like they did me a favor, please!) and I won't be returning. There are PLENTY of other pizza establishments in the area!

A+ classic philly pizza. Super thin crust, not too greasy, but enough to taste awesome.

I love Palermo's. The employees and owner are always friendly. Their salads are huge and full of flavor. Cheesesteaks are pretty good too.

I call them up, because I could of swore I have ordered delivery from them before. Young girl on the phone says, "We don't deliver." Okay, fine. I order a Mediterranean combo & hot wings to which I asked "as hot as you can get them", my wife gets a salad. The combo, was slopped on the plate - looked terrible and tasted equally as terrible. I was very displeased. The wings, weren't the worst I've had but came close.

After reading some online reviews, I was eager to try their pizza and falafel. Unfortunately, it was a bit of a disappointment. The place was packed on a weekday night but we were able to find one of the last tables and ordered a pizza, falafel and manicotti. The falafel as a bit on the dry side and not as fresh as I would have liked. The pizza...eh...just average. The pizza at Roccos in Collegeville seems to be much better. I give them a pat on their back for carrying some Middle Eastern items on their menu and still want to try the baba ganoush.

I'll start by saying that where I grew up (Brooklyn, NY) and live presently, chain pizzerias can't compete with local family run pizza places. Palermo's reminds me of such places. When you walk inside, you're struck with pizza aroma, which actually draws you in. Behind the counter is a crew of staffers scrambling to keep up with the orders. The large pie is the same size that you'd typically see in NYC style pizzas. I didn't expect that in this area. The pizza looks like what I think pizza should look like, which is to say that it's loaded with cheese and you can see a line of sauce near the crust. The pizza is however considerably thinner than what I'm used to, which makes the crust what I'd consider very small. I agree with another reviewer who mentioned that the sauce tastes a bit sweet, but that's not a deal breaker. When I'm traveling, and look for places to eat, I typically go with what I consider to be safe when it comes to meals, but I'd recommend Palermo's pizza of Royersford, PA over places like Pizza Hut, or Papa Johns or any of the other chain pizza restaurants.

Not one out of the 5 people just standing behind the counter said hello when we entered, let alone crack a smile. Ordered a sm chix chzsteak, LG hoagie chzsteak, and fries. Fries came out hot and fast. It was quite a long wait until our sandwiches came out, we were halfway done the fries. The chicken one was pretty meager and sad looking compared to the hoagie one (which was good), even w/o the lettuce and tomato on top. Should have stuck with the pizza.....

Me and my friends ordered a large Margherita pizza for pickup here. I really felt like I was eating a white bread with cheese scrambled here and there with barely few tomato slices. The garlic mentioned in the pizza was barely there. The irony is the Margherita pizza was listed under Gourmet pizza. I wouldn't be ordering here again.

Wife and I love this place... The homemade Italian Wedding soup is to die for... We get the pizza steak sandwich quite often absolutely phenomenal... And their pizza is very very good, we prefer a thin slice... Also it's BYOB and we love that also... 5 stars quick service...

This is the place we keep coming back to for great pizza. This is still the best pizza in the area and I have tried everyone. Great variety of pizzas as well. The price is a little higher than other places, but you get what you pay for. Highly recommend, please stop by and try.

I'm only giving 3 stars based on the food I got yesterday. It was not pizza, so when I do get it, I will update my review. I was so excited to see a place by my house that offered Middle Eastern food. I'm a falafel nut so picked that up to go. Now maybe because I got it to go, but when I unwrapped the sandwich, it totally fell apart. The good news is the falafel tasted wonderful and very high quality. There was also a nice mix of fresh lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber on top. However, the pita pocket was a cheap, whole wheat (dry) from a grocery store. With such good toppings, they should spring for a better quality pita. I prefer mine with the thicker no-pocket pitas. Staff was okay. Not friendly, not unfriendly. It does get packed and like others have said, the paying after your meal is strange.

I am a hard to please person when it comes to pizza!! Born and raised in the city of Philadelphia you have a lot of options. Up here you don't. Lived out this way for 3 years. And haven't had a good piece of pizza since. Until i found you. Good pizza is very had to find. I am truly thankful I have found my new favorite pizza place. Great Pizza, great Cheese Steaks, great salads, great cheese burgers and a fabulous staff. Thank you for your great food and fabulous service.

I was in Royersford earlier today with about 45 minutes to kill and an empty tummy that required filling. I waved the white flag and began to pull into a fast food joint, when I spied the Palermo's sign. Now, I've been a regular customer of the Palermo's in Center Square for years and years, and while I vaguely knew they had other locations I never came across them. I just assumed they didn't really exist. But...there it was! I could not resist. My immediate impression was "wow...this is much bigger, newer, and nicer than the "real" Palermo's". All true, as this location was probably a field, or forest, or something 5-10 years ago. I love the "real" Palermo's but the parking sucks, its cramped, etc...none of that applied here. Sure, you trade some "charm" for such modern conveniences but I was in no mood to quibble...I was in a mood to nibble (sorry). There are two things I get at Palermo's...pizza (duh) and falafel. Both on the menu here, but I went with the pizza in order to make my comparison. Service was very friendly and like the Center Square location you pay after you eat, even though its counter service. A slice of cheese and a slice of white with ricotta and tomato were served hot and ready to roll (and by that, I mean fold). Honestly, if I didn't know better, I'd think I got a slice from the "real" Palermo's. Just as good in every way. Best pizza sauce anywhere within a half days drive of Philly. Crusty crust where it matters, just thin enough to hold it together everywhere else but gives a nice "snap" when folded. Yea, yea, Old Forge, North Jerz, whatever...I'm not driving there just to get pizza. It is not the cheapest slice you can find but it is the best. I've had pizza from other places in RoFo over the years and they can't touch Palermo's. Just don't bother. Eat here or starve to death...any other choice is fallacy.

Best Pizza in Royersford by far. The gourmet pizza is especially tasty. And the salads are always huge and fresh. For the real food enthusiasts out there, you should know they also have Saint Lucifer Spice on hand as one of their condiments to sprinkle atop the pizza, sandwiches, etc. I've seen this stuff at a few places in Philly and was glad to see they have it here too. It's really that good. The place is always packed, but it's always worth the wait.

Asaf is a great pizza dude. Plus he is the owner. The uniqueness of this place is that they have Israeli platters which are authentic. Just like the food I had when in Israel many years ago. The place is generally packed on any night at dinner time or at lunch.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
