Met a friend here for lunch. I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a simple steak hoagie with chips but to my excitement the chips were homemade and very good. The bread was also fresh and probably the best bread I've had in months. The server was very friendly and the cafe quite clean. I will definitely be returning and suggesting this as another lunch meeting place. :)

Average is the best description for the Corner Cafe. The food is pretty average and the variety is also average. I had a cheese steak and cheese fries on one occasion and a bacon cheeseburger griller on another. The cheese steak was alright but the wiz on the fries was your basic salty cheese product. My second trip however, the Sourdough griller I had was actually pretty good. The service both times was ok and the atmosphere is fine. I feel like the owners are really trying to make it a good cafe in royersford. They just need some tweaking and alittle more effort. They could become a staple by diversifying the menu even more, advertising in the community more, and uping the service a bit. I wish the best of luck. An average place to eat and I recommend if you are looking for ok food for a decent price

Took over 30 minutes to get our food. Soaked up two napkins worth of water from the egg white omelette and the "seasonal fruit" was some gray pineapple and another fruit I couldn't quite identify (maybe pear?) I sent it back, because I could make a more appetizing omelette at home and not have to spend $7.99. Chose not to try anything else from the menu after seeing their standard for a breakfast. Husband got eggs benedict which was fine, but nothing special. Overall, staff was very understanding and immediately took the omelette off of the check without question. 4 stars for the staff, but the food quality is just poor and we won't be back.

Met a friend for breakfast. It was fine. The early-bird special (2 pancakes and coffee) was reasonably priced and so large a portion I couldn't finish it. The service was adequate. I had coffee refills and my food was hot. Not the most attentive service I've ever had, but certainly not the worst! The women's room was clean and there were plenty of tables. I will be back to try lunch or dinner at some point.

Went in for breakfast. All empty tables weren't clean. So we cleaned one our self. Sat down and waited 30 mins no one came up to us to take our order. Someone walked in and sat down and they went right up and took their order. We walked out. They asked us if they can take our order as we were walking out. I said no since we waited for 30 mins and you didn't care until now. The worst service ever.

Just 'ate' breakfast here with my husband and son. When I use the word 'ate' I am using it very loosely as neither of us hardly ate anything on our plates but the toast. The food was utterly disgusting, will never go back.

I absolutely LOVE breakfast, but this place ruined it one weekend for my wife and I. We tried it right after they opened. My wife's eggs were runny and her other food was barely warm. I ordered a "skillet," which I love at other breakfast spots. What they brought me instead was a skillet-shaped ceramic dish. The eggs were cold and runny, and all they did was take it back and reheat it - they didn't even re-fire the order. Take a trip to Anna Marie's, the Limerick Diner or even Bob Evans - way better food, experience, and service - overall, more bang for your buck.

After seeing the sign to sit yourself, inside or outside, we grabbed a table outside. There was another table out there that hadn't been cleared so we thought someone would be out shortly. No such luck. After waiting for 10 minutes, I went inside and asked the woman at the counter if they were serving outside... She said they were and she'd let someone know we were out there. We waited another 15 minutes without service before leaving for another restaurant. The menu looked good, but unfortunately we didn't get to try any of it!

This place is not worth going to. The cheesesteaks we got were terrible. They tasted like something was spoiled and the meat was very gristly besides. For $8 apiece, I had hoped for better. There are so many other places to go to in the area. Don't waste your time here. Liz H

We went for breakfast. Seated ourselves per the sign. It was busy so it seemed promising. Took a while for our drink order to be taken. But not terrible. I got the Dutch Benedict with potato cakes. The food was really good. But when the food came my drink was empty. It wasn't our waitress that delivered and was gone before I could ask. No one ever came back to check on us. I had to waive a waitress down to get a drink. The service really needs improvement.

I'm surprised to see the negative reviews. I've been there a few times and always had good food and service. If you're looking for quick diner food, Corner Cafe is your spot.

Little does she know it, but the previous reviewer who was never served was LUCKY. This place is awful. I only went on the recommendation of trusted friends who love the Collegeville location. The menu was ugly and diner-y, and the server did not even mention the specials on the board near the floor, perhaps because nothing special could come out of there. The staff was slow, with only 5 tables (including the family who sat outside and had to announce themselves to be acknowledged and then moved inside anyhow). Any questions regarding the menu were met with a vacant eye roll and a whispered, "We can't ask the cook ANYTHING". Persisting against this ridiculous excuse, she went into the kitchen to inquire, and came out and said, "He said no." "What about the other option?" Again the skyward eyes, "No, we can't ask him that". I'm sure all of you can agree how unacceptable that is. What is even more outrageous is WHY DID I NOT WALK OUT THE DOOR RIGHT THEN? Yes, i'm an idiot who got what I deserved. Inedible mashed potatoes (at a diner!), boring, bland, forgettable food. I left hungry, but didn't even stop for something on the way home because my appetite was destroyed.
