I dont live close to here anymore and I miss it. They have the best hoagies around and I love the chicken honey sandwich. I have brought my little kids here and they are always friendly and accomadating. The soup is excellent too. Service with a Smile and tasty and fresh, authentic ingredients. Wish there were more places like this around!!

Fresh, delicious ingredients used in beautifully crafted hoagies. Had the grilled chicken hoagie today. It followed suit with other tasty sandwiches I've had here. Spinach pasta salad was only so-so, especially since I didn't know they were going to heat it up. It looked delicious in the cold case. All in all, a worthwhile stop if you're in the neighborhood with a grumbling tummy and 20 minutes to kill. Definitely not worth going out of your way to try. It wouldn't kill the guys to crack a smile once in a while, either.

Wow, I am surprised that there are no reviews of this restaurant on Yelp...in fact, it looks like I am the first to write one??!!!! Oh!! Now that's pressure. Anyway, this will be an easy review so no pressure here. Antonella's is probably one of the better Italian restaurants that I have ever tried. Each soup, salad, sandwich and platter at this little Italian eatery is magnificent. The service is personal and friendly, and nowhere else can you get better food in a hurry for a great price. The portions are big, the selection is great, and the smell is intoxicating. Watch out for the lunch time rush...call ahead instead. Haven't had a bad dish there yet...and they cater for any of your special occasions. My recommendations: Lentil Soup, Eggplant Parmesan, the "Ogelsby" hoagie . All hoagies and sandwiches are terrific...and I've tried almost all of them. So overall here are my final ratings... Food: 5 stars Service: 5 stars Ambiance: 3 stars Overall: 5 stars Gotta go now, my mouth is watering from thinking about their delicious sandwiches.

Awesome Italian food for takeout & my husband says the hoagies are awesome too. There is a seating area where you can eat-in and BYOB if you'd like. We only ate in once - there wasn't waiter service- not sure if that's always the case or not. We ordered at the counter, got our own drinks etc. We were the only people in there so I think most people use as a deli and get takeout. We have gotten takeout several times and it has always been great

We love Antonella's for hoagies! Best by far in the area. Fresh Italian bread, interesting combos of meat and veggies, great hot peppers. A weekend must for us

Ok.... best italian hoagie I have EVER had and I'm originally from Philly. Fresh delicious roll that holds up against all of the ingredients. Can't say enough great things about this place. Thank you for everything.

The Ogelsby and Stefan II are our favorites but you can't go wrong with anything here! One of our favorite sandwich places, just need to try the pasta now!

We needed to have dinners delivered to a friend and his family for a week or so. We found Antonellas on Yelp, because we don't live in Pa. I was lucky enough to get Ray on the phone, one of the owners. In the middle of lunchtime rush, Ray went through the *entire* menu with me, making suggestions of items to go together, with a few jokes thrown in. He couldn't have been nicer- even pointing out they could be hit with a huge snowstorm the day of the second delivery-but that he would get it there, not to worry because our friends were in need. The best part is that the friend we were having it delivered to has a sick wife and baby, and Ray made sure it was delivered twice, over the course of a week, in freezable containers, with instruction on reheating, and on time, when they needed it. Our friends raved about the food, which is no surprise considering the ratings on this site. So, if you live near Rosemont, Pa, or anywhere near the mainline, you MUST eat here-not just for the food but also to support business owners like Ray who are kind and run a good business. Thanks Antonellas Kitchen!

I just had the wonderful experience of using Antonella for catering our local neighborhood happy hour. The food is terrific and her service was super! I also had one of her incredible eggplant hoagies and it was like a little bit of heaven Recommended without reservation! You won't be disappointed.

My favorite lunch spot on the Main Line! A true gem. BEST service - friendliest staff - scrumptious food!

Is it a deli? Is it a restaurant? Both. It's an Italian deli. But, I'm torn about what to say about Antonella's. I so want to like it and heap praise upon it. I love to support these little family-owned places, but the food just hasn't met up to my expectations. I know, perhaps I have unreal expectations. Part of my problem is that I prefer Italian-Italian food to American-Italian food. Call me unpatriotic, but I find American-Italian food too heavy. It is often drowned in a hearty tomato sauce and then smothered in cheese. If I have eggplant I want to taste the eggplant, not just cheese and sauce. So I guess that I'd say that Antonella's has good American-Italian food and some their sandwiches are great! But stay away from any of the cutlet sandwiches they are very dry. I just wish the food at Antonella's leaned more toward Italian-Italian. E troppo pesante per me.

Wow, this place is amazing. I'm in town for business and have gone here 4 times over the last 2 weeks. Everthing i have gotten has been fantastic, from the meatball sandwich, Italian hoagie, and chicken salad salad have been great. Portions are very good, ingredients are fresh, staff is welcoming, and prices are right. I will miss this place when i leave town.

A fav since my nova days. Plenty of take out pre made meals but I always prefer to have a turkey Francesca hoagie for lunch.

I love all their sandwiches.. fresh taste, simple and slightly unique in style. Definitely better than getting the usual pizza/deli stuff. My favorite is the Da Padre (not sure if the spelling is right).. gotta try it at least once.

Antonella's Italian Kitchen meets the expectation. It is fresh, the food looks like it has been made from scratch. The food is simple but there are many varieties to choose from. They offer pasta, and sandwiches mainly. The pasta is a little pricey. Good take-out choice for lunch.

Not sure what all the fuss is about but I think the standards for Italian food on the Main Line is going down. I must confess I did not have the hoagies, so maybe I'm in the dark. But we did have some of the pasta dishes, and I did think, Meh, I've had better. The cheese ravioli was decent and home made, but the penne I found chalky, the sauce seemed canned, nothing special, below average I'd say. The meatball we got seemed like it was mostly breaded and filling. Where's the beef? This place is ok, and maybe the sandwiches are off the hook, but the pasta is better at lots of places, I'm sure.

I have been dying to find a decent hoagie shop in the Villanova area and so when my cousin found Antonella's, I decided to check it out. I manage to easily find a parking spot out front, but don't be surprised to find all the limited spaces taken up. If you're expecting to have your standard cold cuts on an Amoroso roll, then this is not the place for you. Antonella's offers high quality cuts of smoked and cured cuts and fresh baked rolls that makes every bite a symphony of flavors. I typically go for your standard Italian hoagie, however I was so curious to try the Azzurri, so I decided to gamble with that selection. It was everything that I hoped for and more. If you come in with a big appetite, i highly recommend getting the large. Don't forget to try Antonella's own bottled sodas. I decided to try the grape soda, since I am not a huge fan of orange. Decent, though nothing to rave about, like their hoagies. So if you are in the area craving a legit Italian hoagie, check it out for yourself. And don't let the whole ' is it a restaurant or deli?' sway your decision, the food is the main reason why you're there.

A terrific choice if you're looking for a place to cater a simple and tasty Italian meal. What they lack in terms of menu options or elaborate signature dishes, they make up in execution of the simple. Hoagies are excellent, pastas are simple but tasty (though a bit oversauced), meatballs are probably the best on the Mainline. While they don't hold a candle to Carlino's from a market/salumeria/cheese shop standpoint, their prepared foods taste better and are considerably lower priced (albeit a bit more rustic). They have have a small dining room on the side where you can eat-in. A great value is their family dinner menu item that feeds a family of 4 for $25. You get a half pan of pasta (e.g. rigatoni in meat sauce), one meat (e.g. 6 meatballs), decent sized salad, and bread. Definitely worth checking out.

Dear Antonella's, thank you for your the prosciutto that was on my fantastic italian hoagie today. It saved my life on this terrible thursday at work. We try to get our company functions catered by you often and every time, we are left in a glorious food coma. Not a complaint here! Food is fresh, hoagie rolls are fantastic, egg plant parm is a fav amongst my coworkers, we literally love this place. Thank you! From your friends at Excel!

My coworkers and I just LOVE Antonella's! The service is always friendly - sometimes a little quirky lol... I don't go that often so I always end up getting the same thing - Bob's Chicken Salad which is sooo good! A ton of really good chicken salad on a bed of romaine with a nice portion of a tomato-basil salad, their delicious homemade roasted red peppers, and fresh mozzarella topped with their wonderful homemade dressing. Sooo good!!!

I just recently came to the area and was searching for a quick lunch option on yelp before coming upon the good reviews from Antonella's Italian Kitchen. This was my first time having a hoagie and it was a pretty delicious Italian sub. This isn't a hole in the wall, but it is a neat local place where the owners and workers seemed cool. All the ingredients seemed fresh, and I recommend you getting the "brady" which they claim is the fan favorite. If you're in the area, come and try it!

Just dropped in here for a salad and was not disappointed. Had the Bob chicken salad and I thought it was the best I've had in a long time. It was as fresh as one can be and a great delight. I didn't try the hoagies but from what I hear, it should be as good. I can't wait to come back and try that. Service was okay. Not too much but not too little either. They could improve on that some.

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
