Small place off route 340. Great pies, you can get beef, sausage, or the old standby chicken. I prefer the chicken. Pies come in three sizes.

We have tried the chicken and the sausage pies, and we love them! The crust is firm, not soggy. The gravy is creamy. The veggies, mostly carrots and peas, are perfectly cooked, they melt in your mouth! The chicken is lean, well cooked and flavorful. The sausage is diced, perfectly spiced. A pie comfortably feeds four people or 2 very hungry adults. Can't wait to go back and get more!! I can't say enough good things about Zook's pies - try them!!

My sister and I recently spent the day in Bird In Hand,Pa. We took a buggy ride to visit an Amish farm and on the way back passed Zooks Homemade Chicken Pies. After the tour and lunch we drove back there and I'm glad I brought a cooler. Bought 3 chicken pies and a beef pie. The chicken pie was the best I've ever had. Fresh veggies, perfectly cooked chicken and a flaky crust. And so easy to prepare. I'm going back to stock up. Only 1 1/2 hours from baltimore.

Super Fresh, Simply the Best. The best chicken pot pie I have ever eaten. I cooked in microwave for 7 minutes in motel room. Going back for more. Take out only.

Who doesn't like chicken pies?! Zook's is a family-owned and -operated business that makes from-scratch meat pies - they have beef, chicken, and sausage pies that you can pick-up (just note that these pies are frozen, and they do not sell 'hot' slices/pies to eat - this place is strictly a little mart that sells their famous pies!)! Those who will be transporting long distances, they have insulated bags and ice packs for purchase - extremely convenient! if not, make sure you bring your own ice box. I picked up a chicken pie, and, boy, was it tasty! The filling was a great ratio of the gravy, potatoes, carrots, peas, and fresh chunks of all-white chicken, topped with a flaky crust! It was suggested to cook for 35-40 minutes at 350 in the oven, but I had it in there for about 50 minutes. Besides the pies, they also have a small selection of beef and chicken stock, Welsh Mountain canned goods, Little Barn Noodles, Mrs. Miller's Pasta Sauce, Beanies BBQ Sauce, pretzels, and other local specialty items. I was able to try some of their Sour Cream and Onion pretzels and, my word, those were so addicting and delicious!!! Make sure you grab a bag (or few) to-go! The employee in here was very sweet, and there's a little lot to park your car. +homemade chicken, beef, or sausage pies (frozen) +insulated bags and ice packs available for long transport +sour cream and onion hard pretzels +local specialty items

They have the best chicken pies EVER!!! The chicken is super fresh and the crust is just perfect! It's just too bad we don't live in PA because I would be there every week. We also tried a cherry pie and shoofly pie: AMAZING!!!!

I thought I could have chicken pie in the store. But they only had frozen or fresh pies, which means that I had to cook at home myself. However, the pie was the best pie I have ever had in my entire life. I don't usually enjoy chicken pot pie, but I have had a bad craving for their pies since ever.

Amazingly good! For anyone that likes chicken (pot)pies... this is the place for you! and for anyone that says pa dutch food is 'bland' or 'plain' this will make you think twice about such statements!! Pies were easy to make. 35mins in the oven at 350'F. Chicken is amazingly delicious. Rightfully a favorite of customers and the amish lady that sold us the pies. Pies have a delicate mild flavor but it's also complex and rich with out being overbearingly so. Also had the sausage pie... very potato-y but again a good balance. the crust is a little more airy. the sausage is cut sausage. while the chicken crust is great but has more of a cracker / crispy crust. You can tell the pies are homemade. Just amazingly good. Oh yeah and they take VISA!!!

Amazing! Everyone I know who's tried one of their pies has become an immediate fan. The crust is what makes it, but the chicken is tender and pies are filled nicely. The beef and sausage pies could use a little more meat in them, but I primarily stick to the chicken and can't say I've really been disappointed yet!
