Bar style atmosphere. Eclectic menu show casing classic flavor combinations with room for relevant and sustainability. All in all great bang for your buck.

Food is awesome, but the service is terrible. My family and I live very close, and when we don't feel like cooking we head over. The problem is that we've never had a good server. So my advice would be to order takeout, then you'll have a good experience.

It's certainly slipped since first opening at this location. Everything would fall right off the bone, after being smoked all day. Last time around, it wasn't the case. Everything was tougher to pull off the bone than usual, and was missing any flavor. Seems to be the result of cost cutting measures - it's not easy Still one of the good places in the area for a cheap beer and wings, but hopefully they turn things around.

Good wings no complaints, good service, Despite having only one waitress service was quick, food was good for a local bar. Come summer though, this place will be hoppin. It basically consists of two bars, one smoking and live music, one for food and football. Seems like it'll be a fun local bar..

Terrible service and very rude. This restaurant is not worth the drive from Wyomissing..... very dissapointing.

First, let me just say they have excellent food. However, I called 4 days in advance for a party of 20 for a surprise dinner for my boyfriend. I asked to be inside, which when we arrived I found that we were outside in the enclosed pavilion. Which was ok I guess, but there was a band playing so we couldn't interact very well. We had 1 server for 20 people, so it took over an hour for anyone to get their food. I think had they had another server waiting on us, it would've been better. We did enjoy ourselves, but we were starving by the time our food got to us. Our server did the best she could I believe but it was too many people for one person to handle. I recommend going there for the food, but don't go if you are in a hurry, or with a large group.

Terrible owner with rude manners. Who throws a chicken wing at customer when she left after waiting over an hour for a salad.......Will NEVER EVER GO THERE AFTER HEARING THIS STORY

Went for dinner last weekend. Service was excellent, food was good. I never would've guessed that Nachos with cole-slaw and cheese as some of the ingredients would've been good, but they were GREAT. I ordered the chef-style ribs (smoked partially and the baked), but next time I'll order the smoked (100% smoked) ones. The waitress said the chef's ribs were more tender, but they lacked flavor in the meat itself. We will definitely go back soon!

I arrived here last Thursday and sat outside. It was still summer-like. I was given a menu and liked that they have menu selections for the big eater BUT I was here for the A.U.C.E. wing night. The apple butter basted wings were out of this world. The mild wings had a "beginner's" tang to them and were right on. The fries and slaw were included and service was darn good. I went inside to listen to karaoke and the participants were great and I will be back not just on Thursdays. The management also is very generous to a local horse rescue sanctuary. I will be supporting Johnny and Hon's because of this and the wonderful food served there.

I am writing a review for the J&H Smokehaus (next to The Heidleberg Restaurant)... The service was not great, but not horrible either. As far as the food goes, the wings were great... If I go back there for food, it is the only thing I think I would order. The main dishes we got were another story, it was the worst, not good at all. My fiancé got the BBQ chicken which was not even pleasant to look at and tasted bland. I got the Chesapeake Steak (crab meat on steak), The steak was the cheapest tasting and looking cut of meat and the crab meat had a horrible taste and texture. I am not one to complain too much, but I thought I should write a review and hope that they can make changes for the better.

Just ate here yesterday for a mid afternoon dinner. We got there and they only had one server on (so I thought it would take forever) however pleasantly surprised that it did not. We ordered the cheese fries (since burgers/sandwiches come with chips) and these were above awesome. How can you mess up fries you may ask? Trust me, you can. I ordered the brisket cheese steak and it was good. I probably wouldn't order it again. The brisket was sliced too thick, however it was a HUGE sandwich. We also got the slaw burger which I'm told was amazing. I was so darn full that I couldn't possibly eat any more so I didn't get to try it. We will definitely go back. I also didn't leave smelling like cigarettes, nor did the place smell of them. So they either don't allow you to smoke anymore or no one was when we got there. Also there was a live band setting up when we left, which was pretty nice. Give them a try some time.

This place is Texas in PA. Looks, feels and tastes just like good old Texas Brisket & BBQ. Plenty of food at a very reasonable price. Great laidback atmosphere minus the horses. Looks like good entertainment and events. I'll be back again & again.
