Ordered two chicken salads on a Friday night and was told it would be 25 minutes which eventually turned into 45 minutes. Granted it was busy, but I expected better. Got the salads home and found that both had the wrong dressing and one had some nasty lettuce.

yet another mediocre italian restaurant. it seems successful pizza operators believe just adding a more upscale environment will make the food better. there are a great number of places like this in the area. a former pizza joint builds a nicer facility with the same menu and expect something different. good portion sizes don't outweigh average food. i'm still in search of an italian restaurant which can beat a NATIONAL chain like carrabas which is sadly the best italian in the tri-county area. it's surprising considering MANY of these operators ARE ITALIAN-like from ITALY! it seems they are more interested in the bottom line than making truly good food.

What a weird experience. We stopped here on a road trip, and were pleasantly surprised by the decor. Much more upscale than a pizza joint for sure. But it went a little sideways from there. The sign told us to seat ourselves, which we did, walking past 4 staff members on the way to our table. Then we sat. And sat. No menus, no waitress. Then someone came by and dropped what looked like an appetizer plate on our table and walked away before I could say anything. I finally had to go to the bar and ask for someone to help us. Once the first waitress came to our table, I had to ask her what all the stuff on our table was. Apparently, instead of bread and butter, they serve a nice plate of capponata, with vartious breads and garlic knots. Yummy...but it would have been nice to have it all explained first. The second waitress brought our drinks, but never cleared the bread dishes. Then the first waitress finally brought our food, which was tasty and the portions really large. The third waitress checked back on us and we asked for the check. At no time did anyone clear our dirty plates. It seemed to us that the floor staff really needed some training, or better management. One young man was cleaning the unoccupied part of th dining room the whole time we were there; the rest of the staff seemed to be bullshitting behind and around the bar and ignoring us.

Would give zero stars if I could used to go here a few years back until we were eating and ants were crawling on our plates. We complained to management on the way out and he pretty much didn't care/didn't say anything. Don't eat here.

Not being from this area, we thought this place was in Upper Fugawe. We went here on a tip from some locals. And we're glad they sent us here. Nicely appointed for a pizza/sandwich shop. Has a full bar, too. Service was very friendly and efficient. And the food was excellent. They bake their own bread on premises and use these delicious rolls for most of the sandwiches, even my daughter's BLT. My wife had a chicken cheesesteak that was overflowing with meat. I had an enormous chicken Caesar salad that I took half of home. While waiting for our entrees to come out, we were surprised with some complimentary garlic knots in this delicious pesto garlic oil. I could have done a half dozen of them and called it a day. Total cost for lunch for three: $26 + tip ... nice price. Great local spot!

This is kinda short ... but we visit Riviera every year when we are in the area buying stuff.. and .. this was another great meal... they start with the garlic knots.. "you can't eat one'... have to have at least 3 or 4.. of them and dip in the dish and soaked up the garlic sauce... with the bread... yummy start and that is FREE.... salad was excellent.... nice and fresh... and .. I had a special order.. of Calamari sautéed with marinara and wella.. the plate was over flowing with calamari... big plate and deliciousooooo the sauce was excellent.....and ... I like this dish.. and order quite a bit.. but sometimes I get the frozen pieces... and factory cut.. with no tentacles... this plate was not the frozen factory cut my a machine... it was FRESH.... my wife had the Chicken piccata and it LQQKED excellent 4 large pieces of chicken... and nice sauce.. with potatoes... and ... Elizabeth... our waitress was EXCELLENT... understood all or orders ... and had not problems... she was very upbeat and a fine server.... Yes will go back next year... as my wife and I enjoy the food.. and the atmosphere... I know you will enjoy... !!!!!!!!

Absolutely the worst cheese steak that I have ever eaten. I asked for a regular cheese steak without the lettuce, tomato and mayo that they advertised but with sauce and cheese. You know, like every other shop makes. Instead I got very finely chopped steak which was extremely dry with hardly any sauce and cheese. Since it was a take out order, I couldn't send it back. The Italian sandwich had so much oil that it formed a pool in the wrapper. I'm not a picky eater but even I could have made a better sandwich. Do yourself a favor, go to one of the other pizzeria sandwich shops, there are many other options.

My husband and I found the food "middle of the road" at Riviera, not great - not horrible. The atmosphere wasn't warm or romantic, but that didn't bother us. Our service was EXCELLENT though. If you're looking to "woo" your significant other - go elsewhere. If you want a casual meal with great service, ask for Wendy!

My parents spoke highly of this place. My brother had used this establishment for catering and everyone was happy with the food. The fried vegetable appetizer was decent. Our service was lacking; we had to ask for silverware and ask separately for bread. Imagine our surprise when every one of our dinners was swimming in salt. It was like each of us was afraid to say anything to each other at first, but then bit by bit we each admitted that our meals were very oversalted. My parents said, they must have got a new cook who is heavy on the salt shaker because this is not the quality we had before. Would we go back? Probably not. to quote my maternal unit "no, i'm not taking the chicken home. it might hurt the dog."

Very difficult to review this establishment. A couple months ago I ordered one of the best chicken cheese steaks I have ever eaten. Since I don't live in the reamstown area, I have not been back until tonight. Today I ordered a regular cheese steak with sauce and onions. This without a doubt was one of the worst cheese steaks I've ever had in my life. The meat was not only very dry, it was also very gristley. Every bite had pieces I had to spit out, I probably shouldn't have eaten it and I hope I don't get sick from it. Hopefully this was a rare misstep because I did really enjoy the first sub I had from there.

Hate to be a hater but... their pizza is alternately soggy and dried out/crispy. But not the New York style yummy crispy, just devoid of taste. And not the Chicago decadent soggy, like unpalatable soggy. All the toppings were bunched in the center 4" of a 16" pizza. Maybe for the area this is considered good I don't know, but I'd choose Pizza Hut over this any day.

One of our favorite local places for delivery, take out or a quick bite to eat. Consistently good food and service. Love their pizza and buffalo chicken cheesesteak. They make their own bread which is delicious!

I can't believe their lasagna is better than mine! I'm kind of a snob as far as Italian food goes. My grandmother's family is from Italy and I grew up on the real deal. Well, I was very impressed. When I had raved about my order, the waitress explained that everything is from scratch - sauce, pasta, bread. Everything is delicious. My husband calls their french fries the best he's ever had in his life. The serving size was enough for a family, but they were so delicious with just a slight crunch on the outside, soft on the inside. This particular time we ordered them, I'm embarrassed to say, covered in bacon with mozarella and cheddar cheese. The crab bisque is perfect (just the right consistency, very flavorful). Oh, and a little bit about the bread...my God, it's...amazing. I would be happy with a small loaf of their Italian bread and a glass of wine or two. FRESH from the oven, warm... Their servings are beyond generous, so hubby and I usually get three meals out of one (not kidding). I've never gotten to dessert here because I'm always too full. I have to make that a goal next time. I was surprised to read the reviews about the service, as my husband and I have always received excellent service. Promptly taken care of, helpful waitress, friendly, etc. Did I tell you about the bread?

My husband and I recently moved to the area and we have to say we are really thrilled we've tried this place! We have been working on a lot of home improvements, and they became our go-to lunch place. -The pizza is flat out awesome. I never had such a great pepperoni pizza in recent memory. - The bread is made there. It's got a great flavor, great crust and totally makes the sandwiches. - Great sauce, and the ingredients seem fresh/from scratch, or at least were good quality. Plus they are generous with their food. -The staff is pretty friendly. We've had their delivery and pickup so far. They've made us feel like a part of the neighborhood. Overall, we're hooked. Can't wait to try them out for a dinner out!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
