The food was amazing!!! Service- excellent: cocktails- excellent: entrees: excellent! I am so happy to see a great fine dining restaurant in Pottsville. This is a great place for out of town visitors to enjoy some great food and cocktails. The crab cake was awesome- it was all crabmeat no filler. The Philly cheesesteak egg rolls were tasty, a great way to upscale the local food. The bartender made an excellent pomegranate martini, had to have more than one! The staff was fun and talkative, really made you feel welcome.

I give the food 4.5 stars and the service/(dis)organization a 3 stars. Great menu for Pottsville, PA. Shared the house made chips with Parmesan and bacon- very tasty. I had the short rib, bacon and cheddar on grilled brioche...wow. It was like a gourmet grilled cheese for a carnivore. Highly recommended. The monster chocolate cake was large enough for an entire family. Vibrant bar scene with some live music (acoustic classic rock). Once we finally got a waitress, she was very friendly and helpful. Clearly, they were understaffed as the hostess was bussing tables, making drinks, etc. Appetizers, salad, sandwiches all came at the same time. I would definitely recommend, but if they are busy, don't expect it to be fast.

The food was excellent, but the service was outrageously slow. I couldn't tell if they were understaffed or just super busy, but it didn't seem as though they were at all prepared for a full house on a Saturday night. That being said, my chicken was delicious, & my double smoked cheddar risotto was absolute perfection.

Awesome place. Great ambience in a landmark building. Stopped in on a trek back from Tamaqu, and I plan on making a return pilgrimage from Staten Island to try some more of the sublime fare. Nice wine list, too.

Great place with a nice atmosphere. Could definitely be bigger at times. Gets a bit crowded due to its popularity but you never have to wait long to get served. Superior bartenders and a very personable owner. Definitely worth a visit.

This restaurant a great introduction to, and reflection of, Pottsville, which is a small town with a fascinating history and physical setting, and which is struggling to establish a 21st century identity. The Greystone is in a nice building with street-view, bar, or downstairs seating. The menu was very innovative, and the prices were high. The service was top-notch: a local person with great food knowledge and a wry sense of humor, which for me is the only thing that can immediately overcome menu sticker shock. The bar scene on a Saturday evening seemed a little rocky. Loud drunks were not very well managed by the bartender, who did not seem to be clued into what I think is the best bar/restaurant interaction: the bar should provide appropriate entertainment for the diners, and vice versa. I'm a hard grader. This is a very good restaurant.

The sangria was sweet and cold. Perfect for a hot summer day. The soup of the day was asparagus! It was delicious, a dash of fresh cracked pepper made it even better. With tender bits of grilled chicken, it was rich and creamy. Served with oyster crackers that were bigger than I have ever seen crunchy and cute. Overall decent prices for such an nice place. Its a bit small but they offer outside seating not what I felt like venturing into in 103* heat. The server was awesome polite and attentive came over as much as he could to make sure I was ok. I had orange creamsicle cheesecake for dessert !!! The price was a bit much for lunch time but overall was worth it.

Greystone is undoubtedly the best restaurant in the area. Perfectly appointed, and comfortable. Knowledgeable, approachable wait staff. And the FOOD!!! If you want a guaranteed great dining experience, go to Greystone. Every possible bit of attention is taken with every menu item. Talented chef could be successful anywhere, I'm just glad he chose to stay in Pottsville. Good job!!

had mother's day brunch. we didn't know it was a buffet. it was fabulous. large variety of food, very reasonably priced and delicious. will definitely go again next year. the only thing that would make it better would be a designated area for families with small misbehaving children. parents need to realize if thier children are not ready to sit at a fine dining establishment, they should not inflict them on others who are looking for a nice day out.

Probably the best place to eat in Schuylkill county if you like Manhattan style restaurants. Great atmosphere for intimate gatherings in the dining room, and the bar feels a bit like Greenwich Village. The food is very well prepared and well presented. Save this place for special occasions because even a date for two can run you into the triple digits if you go all out. My go-to fancy dining in an otherwise... rustic county.

A little upscale for Pottsville, but it's where the more sophisticated crowd hangs (sometimes...). I've only eaten here twice and the food was good. However, I prefer their bar when returning to Pottsville since it's a bit less chaotic and cleaner than the other bars in town. Not sure if they still have live jazz... but they used to occasionally which was always fun.

My husband and I have a house in Pottsville and we visit often from New York City. We have been going to Greystone for the past six years can honestly say we have never had a bad experience. We have so many favorites it is hard to pick one. The mussels appetizer in coconut broth is fabulous, as are the hush puppies. The Caesar salad is wonderful, with just the right amount of dressing, fresh grated cheese and crunch croutons. The crab cake entree is incredible. Chuck full of crab meat it can take on a Maryland crab cake any day. The steak is superb as is the Mahi Mahi. A word of warning, ask for the daily appetizers before you look at the menu. It is a waste to look at the menu, settle for something and then change your mind after hearing about the tempting specials. The bar menu is also terrific, especially the huge juicy hamburger which comes with shoestring fries. Whether you go for a romantic dinner or just some pub food, make sure you ask about the desserts, you won't regret it. Staff is always friendly and very knowledge about the food. The bar is well stocked and comfortable. Greystone is a first class restaurant!
