I can't believe we went into this restaurant at 6pm on a Saturday to find it empty. This is a total find! All the food was fabulous! It was evident that the food was well made and fresh. My vegetables looked like they came right out of their garden. We all tried the seafood trio, coconut shrimp, veggie spring rolls, and salads. The kids chicken fingers were even good! The service was very fast and respectful. No complaints. Check this place out!

Great place for a nice lunch. The restaurant design and old timbers are fantastic and show the history of the space. The salmon BLT is great with a wonderful sauce and peppered french fries. I would return if back in town.

I love to support local businesses and I know I'm going to kick myself for posting a 3 star review, but this place is very hit or miss. I've been there on a couple occasions and the food has been exceptional at times and just horrible at others. They have many great menu items that I like but those items never seem to be paired right with the correct sides. The pricing is much higher than I would expect for a local restaurant on high street especially with tough competition all around. I think this should be $$$ instead of $$ as far as pricing is concerned.

When my husband and I had a rare opportunity to go out with just the two of us, we had originally planned to go to a bar across the street from Lily's Grill. However, after reading reviews on Lily's Grill and passing it on our way to our original destination I knew that we needed to eat here instead. Lily's Grill is truly a gem in the heart of Pottstown. Upon our arrival we were greeted with a modern and classic dining room, that had a very cozy feel to it. Not only is there a tastefully done collage that gives it a vintage feel, and there are many beautiful flowers that make it feel like a place you could feel at home in. There were exposed beams on the ceiling and track lighting, which also added to the comfort. Very simple, tastefully done, and elegant at the same time. Since my husband and I were not originally planning to go there we were worried about being underdressed, but the other diners were also dressed casually (jeans and a nice shirt/ jacket, not necessarily street clothes) and we did not feel awkward about it at all. Thanks to other yelpers, I was prepared to arrive to the BYOB with a bottle of wine that perfectly paired with our meal. The food was delicious! My husband started with the Potato and Spring Onion soup, and I shortly regretted I had the Lemon Trout, which was a hearty portion, and my husband had the Seared Tuna, rarely cooked, over bok choy. Both entrees were filling portions and came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. For dessert my husband had a slice of Red Velvet Cake and I had the Pistachio Bundt Cake. Both were enjoyable. I was very happy with the size, quality, and price of everything that we ordered. Our waitress was very polite and helpful. I had a very good experience at Lily's Grill and look forward to returning.

First visit and I was impressed. Overall very good food. Nice dining room with cute decor. We had the lobster mac and cheese appetizer, which was good, but I would have liked it to be a little more creamy and cheesy. My boyfriend loved the lemon chicken special. I had the crab stuffed shrimp, which were excellent. Very tasty cheese risotto. We loved the pie desert special. Nice size portions, not too big, but just right. Service was decent, but could have been a little better. Waitress could have used more training for this type of restaurant. Reasonable prices for the quality of food. I'll definitely go back for a second visit. Wish there were more privately owned places in the area like this one and less chain restaurants.

Lily's Grill When faced with a 25-minute wait at a chain steakhouse that already wasn't high on my list, I Yelped around and found Lily's 5-star rating on a handful of reviews. I called and asked about the wait and was told we could be seated right away if we showed up within 10 minutes. Why is this place so empty on a Saturday night?!?! Liz, our server, was all smiles and took wonderful care of us. The chef and owner was on his way out to a black-tie event but still took the extra second to ask how everything was, and everything could not have been better. One great feature of Lily's is that it is BYOB and there is NO corkage fee. It bears repeating: NO CHARGE for the joy of selecting your own wine, scotch, beer, cordial, etc. There is a liquor store just a few doors down in case you want to order food and then run out for the appropriately matching bottle of something. I think next time I go, I would select my entrée and desserts in advance and bring an assortment of liquor pairings, especially when it comes to the chocolate options. This night I had two other dining companions. One companion chose the Chicken Piccatta, which she said was very flavorful but a little bit dry. In Lily's defense I would argue that my companion's scale of moistness could be flawed by all the non-organic, water-pumped chicken she has grown accustomed to consuming lately. My other companion and I shared the Lobster Mac and Cheese, the Goat Cheese Salad and the Truffle Fries. The Mac was HUGE, I mean like at least half a quart in the bowl with bits of lobster even distributed throughout. The cheeses were melted and goey without being runny or clumping everything together. For the two of us to split as an 'appetizer' it was quite rich. The chef catered to our whim of subbing spinach for arugula with the goat cheese salad. The goat cheese was stupendously creamy and the vinaigrette was just right. The fries were crispy but lacked the powerful punch I have experienced from truffle fries elsewhere. The bowl of fries and salad again were large portions and we left quite full this time. Yet when Liz ran down the list of cupcakes in the Mini Sampler, we could not pass up that opportunity. Four cupcakes about the size of a small kiwi arrived on a little plate: Guinness chocolate cake with a Jameson ganache filling, Lemon Heaven, Peanut Butter with a hard chocolate shell, and a Minty Chocolate. All of them were moist as could be and each flavor was noticeable. The décor is a mix of modern and classic with the exposed ceiling beams in a structure that was probably built in the early 1900s. I dig that vintage stuff. We don't get much of that in SoCal. I highly recommend you support small businesses like Lily's and ditch the steak-in-a-box joints. You'll find ample free parking, great smiles, and delicious food.

I had a wonderful meal tonight! I enjoyed the Chicken Spring Rolls for my appetizer and they were delicious. I ordered the Chicken Marsala and it tasted like heaven. The chicken was moist and the mashed potatoes were creamy and garnished with a beautiful sauce. The owner/chef Adam was inviting and courteous, as well as my waitress Rebecca. I will always visit Lily's when I am in the Pottstown area - it was simply perfect!

Throughly enjoyed the cheese platter. Crab it's self was very good. I much rather have had that served to me with a side of mash potatoes and asparagus. Crab cake had no fillers! Waitress was well informed on the menu and very polite. The desert portions were very good. I didn't have the ice cream, but they get it from a local dairy and I love their ice cream(Long Acres). I would recommend the cheese cake.

My wife and I have been to Lilly's about 8 or 9 times now. Always - Excellent food. Excellent atmosphere. We have yet to have even a questionable meal. If your looking for the "10 min or less" experience, don't expect that here. Great food takes time to prepare, especially when it's prepared from scratch, and prepared to order. Even their salad dressings are home made. If you're the type of person who has become accustomed to the "Chain Restaurant" or fast food factory production aspect of dining out, then you may not be the type to appreciate the time and care that goes into eating at a place like Lilly's. Whether you're going for burgers, filet, or fresh fish/seafood, the quality and freshness are always glaringly obvious. And prices are always more then fair, for the quality you get. It's a BYOB, which can save you a fortune if you prefer having a couple drinks with your meals - my wife and I have had fantastic meals here including appetizers and entrees for around $60 that would have easily cost us almost a hundred elsewhere, especially if you toss in the cost of a decent bottle of wine! Any of these people here rating this place a 1 star review are either mistaking this place for something else (a diner??? Really???), are mentally deficient, or are one of the restaurant's nearby neighbors trying to bring the place down a couple notchs (there are 3 or 4 other small restaurants all within a couple blocks of Lilly's).

One of the best meals I've had in a long time! Parmesan Scallops and Lobster Ravioli - not too heavy and just the right portion size. Lemon cupcakes for dessert topped it off. Delicious lemonade, BTW! Would definitely recommend and will definitely return!

A culinary gem of Pottstown, PA! The lunch special menu was up to high satisfaction. The Sesame Tuna Spinach Salad was terrific. The Turkey Chili - yummy! They have a great dinner menu. You must stop by this place and check it out when you are in the Limerick/Pottstown vicinity (or even farther than that!). Enjoy!

What a nice addition for downtown Pottstown! Food was excellent, service was great, and it's BYOB. Waitress was very knowledgeable with her recommendations and they were right on target! Thank you for a great evening. We look forward to our return visit.

The food was excellent! We will be back. We started with the Tuna Tartare and Sausage Sampler. They were both excellent and when talking with the Chef/Owner he said he gets the sausage from a local farmer. We both had the house salad (it's included with the meal) that was a nice spring mix with your choice of dressing. For our main course we both had specials. Mine was Parmesan Crusted Scallops that were perfectly done and the taste was outstanding. My wife had the Surf & Turf which was very good but was cooked beyond medium rare as she had ordered it. All in all as I said above we will defenetly go back. Another plus is it's a BYOB.

Our first time out at this place. Wen't for lunch on Saturday. Had a really great dining experience. My son and wife had burgers that were very impressive, looked great on the plate and taste even better. Blackened chicken wrap was excellent and the mac and cheese was home made with fresh pasta. Not sure what else you could ask for. Service was great pricing is very reasonable. Looking forward to going back for dinner.

I was excited to try Lily's Grill after passing it numerous times. I am afraid the inconsistencies we experienced will keep us from returning. First of all, the glaringly unattractive fluorescent lighting inside the door (and in the faces of almost half the diners when seated) is beyond awful. The space is really interesting, and could be comfortable and fun. The "dog wall" is a nice touch, although it wasn't mentioned by our server. It seems that other patrons find the space warm and homey, as we were lucky enough to watch a couple in their 40s making out at their table. I refrained from ordering "what they were having". The house salad was nice, and the homemade dressings were delicious. I was surprised, given the menu offerings and the prices, that fresh ground pepper was not offered. My date's NY strip was cooked perfectly medium rare, seasoned just right, and the zucchini mix was delicious, hot and crisp-tender. I had the shrimp special and it too was well-seasoned and tasty. The risotto was, as other reviewers noted, flavourless mush. The fingerling potatoes were crying for some salt or rosemary or something, anything. Our server appeared promptly, and was friendly, but never offered her name, nor asked if it was our first time in order to tell us about the restaurant. Throughout the meal, she was attentive, but when she cleared the plates, she gathered and stacked them at the table. This is fine at home, but not when I am paying close to $30 a plate. Good thing we cleaned our plates, so we didn't have to watch the remainders scraped into a congealed glob. Despite some delicious, imaginative food from this kitchen, the bits where it fell short drained too much of our satisfaction from the meal for us to come back.

Been here a few times for lunch. Menu is fresh and all platters finished with care. Soups are wonderful. Good service and excellent atmosphere for business and social lunch.

This restaurant is a diner, masquerading as a fine dining establishment. Went to Lily's Grill in Pottstown last week Saturday. We were a party of four, and the restaurant was only half-full, during a weekend with a car show (the main street in front of the restaurant was closed to traffic for the car show). That should have been a hint to us. Still, we were looking for a place to eat on a whim, and Lilly's did not require reservations. There seemed to be a nice dinner ambience, the menu looked like it had a nice selection of dinners, and the restaurant is a BYOB, which was a selling point. They sat us right away (no waiting, of course). My salad was an arugula and goat cheese salad; unfortunately, there was NO imagination in creating the salad! It was JUST arugula leaves and a smattering of goat cheese. We all laughed and one of my dinner partners said, "well, at least you can't accuse them of false advertising." Another dinner partner said, "this is like a throwback to diners in the 50s." I disagreed. Even in the 50s, diners had more imagination in creating their salads. I ordered the crabcakes. What a mistake. My plate had two crabcakes, but the crabcakes had NO taste. It was so bad that I did not finish the second crabcake. There were three overcooked and soggy broccoli tops as my vegetable. The risotto was like mush. My dinner partner had the steak. He ordered it rare, but it was overcooked, gnarly, and tough. He couldn't finish his steak either. He agreed with me that the accompanying risotto was gruel. If the risotto as an entrée is the same risotto that they serve as a side dish, then diner be FOREWARNED. Do not order it; the risotto was awful. It was very disappointing, given its location and the fact that Pottstown has such a cute main street. Will not ever go back. Don't be fooled, as we were, by the white tablecloth and menu. This restaurant is a diner. Till today, we still chuckle at the "arugula and goat cheese salad." It has become a running joke among my friends as an example of unimaginative food.

Food was delicious. I had the scallops and risotto, my date had the crab cake. Both were great. The Lobster mac was awesome. They had a special that night of hand made fried mozzarella that was great, too. We were there with a big party and they had no trouble accommodating us. I can't wait to go back.
