We came on a Saturday night because it boasts all you eat lobster. Although the lobster was rarely filled there was tons of other types of seafood. They had oysters on the half shell, snow crab, mussels, clams, shrimp, salmon, and even octopus. As far as buffet goes it was pretty par for the course. I tried a little of everything and it was all pretty good. Plates were cleared quickly but my water was never refilled. They have a good selection of deserts. I was pleasantly surprised that none of the cookies were stale. Overall, I'd say I'll be back. The lobster that I did get was tasty but a tad over cooked. The highlight was the stuffed mushrooms. My kids loved everything. My friends we came with enjoyed it too. It didn't blow us away but if you want a seafood based buffet that's affordable this is a good place to try.

All I can say is wow! We walked in last night and a lady greeted us with the most horrible demeanor it was as if some one had burnt down her house, blew up her car, shot her dog, cat, bird, took her school work and buried it under the ground, after pushing her into a pile of mud. She slowly walked us to a section of tables and turned around and Pushed right through us. So needless to say she never pointed to a table to sit at so we picked one and sat down. Another woman came up and asked what we wanted to drink. I said Pepsi and so did my wife. Pepsi in this place means root beer but not a big deal. I like root beer. So we walked to the back where the buffet was and it was like walking through the gates of heaven. So much to choose from until you get close. So as I was browsing I had to wave the flies away from the food that kinda looked like it had been sitting out for a while. I dared not touch the seafood due to the ominous look it was spewing fourth. I tried to pick up stuff that looked some what appetizing. I finished my first plate and strongly advised myself not to go back for more unless it's for dessert. The chocolate pudding tastes nothing like chocolate and the custard type pudding we couldn't put a taste to at first then realized it tasted like winter fresh gum? Sadly we both came to that conclusion at the same time. The lady next to me we could over hear complaining about the seafood taste . I silently threw my hands up in the air for taking my first gut impression and not getting it. So then it came time to leave. We stood at the front with the check for a min or so and looked around. Wasn't sure if that meant the buffet was free? I said hello and heard from behind us from a booth hidden in the corner a strong sigh and a book shutting. A kid who looked about 17 or so strolled up got behind the register and took my card and didn't say a word. No eye contact no thank you for stopping by. Tossed a pen toward me to sign. Took my receipt and walked back to his book. Not one word. My wife and I, the next day have been experiencing a lot of toilet time I'm assuming as a result from the amazing king buffet spread. Not going to return here just so I can save my bowels from destruction. Now for the good points of our encounter, I really liked the decor in the place. It was definitely eye pleasing. And that's the end of my compliments.

Came here for dinner with the family and was not impressed. The food was very mushy. Nothing seemed fresh. The service was not welcoming either.

Stopped here with the family during a day of house hunting in the general area. Haven't been here since the early 2000's and not much has changed. Decent selection of items, friendly staff and great lunch prices. The booths have definitely been upgraded since me last visit and that it's nearly worth a star in itself...those old things were beat to hell lol. No bells and whistles to this place, just quick easy food with plenty of choices. Good option if you have friends like mine who can never decide what they want to eat

Honestly, this place is pretty terrible. The food is sub parr, especially the sushi. That is NOT real sushi. The different chicken dishes (General Tso, Honey, ect.) all taste the same. The veg never looks fresh. The fried rice is bland and lo mein greasy. However, I frequent this place quite a bit. Why you may ask? Well it's a combination of 3 reasons. 1. It's close. I'm less than 2 miles from work. 2. You can't beat the price. The take-out buffet is $3.99/lb during lunch (11:00-3:00). 3. The fried wings are actually ok. It's all I usually get anyway. Unless you like those fried wings or really bad sushi, or you just want a cheap lunch, spend your money elsewhere.

The thing as bad as habachi grill is this little this little spot from hell! The usual old, cold sewage sitting from one day to the next week! Asked if they would bring out hot food and was told when the old crap was eaten !! Not for me truly disgusting stay home and have a frozen pizza!

Cockroaches! Yeah, enough said. One decided to join us for dining the other day and I am doing my very best to inform as many people as possible to avoid this dump. Spend a few extra dollars and go to a quality buffet

When this place first opened, it was a fantastic experience with delicious food and a great dining experience. Now the restaurant is not as inviting. Half the lights were out when I walked in. the food looked appetizing, but didn't taste right. I'll just go to another restaurant.

About the only good thing I can say about this place: It was clean. Other than that it was really lacking for the price charged. For seven to eight dollars I might have given it three stars. I was on an industial archeology tour with two friends and we stopped here after a day of visiting sites. It looked okay as we entered but that was the end of good impressions. What kind of americanized Chinese bug=ffet doesn't have pork fried rice or General Tso's chicken? The white rice with pea and carrot slices was cold and clumped together. The pepper beef? Tepid and bland. The cheese wontons were good - crispy outside and soft inside. Having a shellfish allergy I avoid all seafood. Had we known this place was this bad, we would have gone to the Pottstown Diner!.For the price, go to your local Chinese take away and order two combination platters per person - you'll spend about the same (including tax and tip), get more food and have a better quality. This place just isn't worth it.

Poor selection, sub-standard for frozen and reheated dishes, plus my son was sick after the latest outing. We won't be back.

I had visited this place with my wife several years ago and was not impressed. The local clipper magazine that just came had a front page advertisement that listed "Fresh Lobster", so I figured I'd give it another try as it's hard to mess up lobster and it's been nine months since our Lobsterfest in Maine. I had a craving that needed to be satisfied! Unfortunately King Buffet has not improved since our last visit. The food quality was very hit or miss between selections, with the typical assortment of items that you can find at almost any Chinese buffet. Freshness seemed to be an issue with some dishes. Case in point: the melted butter for the crab legs was very stale and tasted like it was blended with cooking oil. I couldn't use it. But most disappointing for me was that there was no lobster despite the recent advertisement. The staff cheerily told me that the seafood company had no lobster, so sorry. When I was paying my bill, the friendly checkout girl told me that dinner prices are higher on the weekends due to additional menu selections. When I inquired what the additional menu selections were she said "frog legs and mussels. And sometimes we have lobster" I can accept that a business may have supply issues that occasionally prevent the delivery of an item. But to both advertise and charge for that item and not deliver will keep me from going back.

This Chinese buffet has been very good with the variety especially for the lunch price. The food quality is above standard and better than any other buffet. especially the other buffets around. They have sushi and Mongolian grill as part of the buffet. Interiors are good and clean. Bonus they have Hersey's ice cream in the range of deserts apart from the softy cones. Never tried dinner but like a typical Chinese buffet, they offer more items and sea food for evenings. I have not rated them 5 stars only because there is always scope for excellence and improvement otherwise they beat any other buffet hands down in a 10-15 mile area. To Make your experience sweeter, check for coupons in the local clipper magazine, they always have something or take the competitors coupon '-). Dislaimer: I have not visited them for over a year, but hope to go back soon and expect the quality and pricing to stand to what it was.

The food at this buffet was far than any good chinese place in the area. Yes they had your typcial Americanized chinese food along with chicken nuggets and pizza. Their seafood did not look fresh at all so beware of eatting it you may get sick. Their sushi that they also have there seemed like it was a day old and did not taste good at all. Also, if you order tea and hot water you are not going to get good hot tea. It is a plain lipton teabag and the water tastes dirty. I did not like how the floor looked at all. It looked dirty and it was not cleaned in months!! The place just seems to have an erree feeling because the wait staff is literally standing over your shoulder like your about to bolt out of there then again who wouldnt. If you want to go to a good chinese place go to your regular take out spot i the area their food is typically fresher and has not been sitting for a week or so.
