Diabetics at TGI Friday
If you're a diabetic, then you must be extra careful while dining at TGI Friday. Try the salad menu at TGI Friday to keep your sugar and sodium intake in check. Soups are great to keep you full and satisfied without munching on the unhealthy greased meat-based dishes on TGI Friday menu.
Foods to Avoid at TGI Friday for Diabetics:
Sugar and sodium intake are crucial if you have diabetes. While the salads are the best option for you at TGI Friday, it is recommended to avoid the Pecan-Crusted Chicken Salad containing over 1000 calories and 1,650mg sodium. Also, skip Warm Pretzels with Craft Beer-Cheese dipping sauce as it contains more than 3000mg sodium. It is wise to skip the dessert for diabetics, especially the Brownie Obsession topped with Vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and pecans.

Food Suggestions to Maintain Cholesterol Level at TGI Friday
One of the kids favorite places to eat. I'm sure they'd give it five stars. They recently renovated and I think the smell mentioned in other reviews is gone. It always bothered me too. With new paint, carpet and tables it definitely appears much cleaner. It was not very busy when we were there. We received our food in a reasonable timeframe. Lots of birthdays that night. Waitress was okay. Kids meals aren't really a bargain. The burgers are really good. I'm sure the kids will continue to lobby to go here.

Food is so so.What got me is how very UN-clean this place is.Bathrooms very very dirty..looked like they haven't been clean in weeks.Just sitting at out table we noticed that the condiment holders haven't been moved and cleaned under for a while..all the wood work was dusty..stains on all the walls...waitress was using a leaky coffee pot to refill our cups with. The mod was more interested in checking her cell phone than actually doing anything else.So if the front of the house was this dirty i can only imagine the back of the house...Never going back again!!!Question corporate?Where is the dm and what is he doing letting this happen?

The past few times I have been to the Pottstown location the food was below average and the service was horrible. I used to like Friendlys back in the day but years later they haven't evolved with the times and local businesses seem to put more effort into quality of service.

We go to this Friendly's often and we like it A-OK. The food is fine -- it is exactly what you would expect to get at a Friendly's restaurant.... not gourmet but certainly above average most of the time. Food is generally hot when it comes and is generally what you'd expect. The service is generally very good. Sometimes we find the service is slow, but even when it is the people are friendly and generally make an effort to ensure you are happy. Our last visit, the oranges that our son got were spoiled. They apologized and fixed it right away. You can't ask for more than that as a restaurant like Friendly's. It's no Ruth's Chris, folks. Some people here on Yelp! have complained that the place is dirty and smells and whatnot. I disagree. The place is not spotless by any means, but it is not a dirty restaurant. I think the folks that complain it is dirty haven't been to a truly dirty restaurant. This Friendly's location suffers from being an older building. The carpet needs to be replaced, the furniture needs an upgrade and some serious painting could be done -- but it is clean. So... all that being said, we like this location -- the kids like it, and it is Friendly's. Decent American style food that gives you every opportunity to eat some pretty good ice cream!

I meet there regularly for a networking breakfast, and the staff is friendly and accommodating, and the food is decent breakfast fare. What pushed them over the edge for me was that they were very patient with a panicked me when I discovered that my iPad was missing. They took my number and when they were cleaning up tonight they found it and put it in the safe until I could pick it up. Good food and good service is nice, but it's encouraging to know that they're honest as well!

The last few times I've gone there the service was VERY slow, waiting a long time just for ice cream. They say the kitchen is backed up but who knows.

Always loved friendly a growing up but boy, What a terrible experience this was:(. We waited a very long time to be greeted by a rude server who messed up our order three times. No apology, no smile, terrible dried out food that was served cold. The turkey tips were inedible. Hoping they were just overwhelmed because it was a holiday.

Ok I'm done with this place. I use to love this place, but the food and service has gone down hill in the past few months. I ordered Big Two Do breakfast with scrambled eggs, once it arrived I went to eat the egg but had a funny taste. My mother also order the same meal and she stated they were not fresh egg but either liquid or powdered. When we asked the server she didn't know if they were fresh or not, so I tried them remaking them and still the same problem. I asked to talk to a manger when I was paying which ended up being the person I was paying, The manger stated they were not boxed or liquid eggs, he stated that the cook followed the direction on how much water and milk to add. Hello that mean's there not fresh eggs there boxed!! Was so disappointed. So I tried going to dinner and ordered off the new burger menu, but was the server wasn't very knowledgeable on the how it work. I was very disappointed in the burger for the price. My niece which loved going there, I took almost once a week now I have to tell her we can't go their anymore.

This is the best Friendly's that I've ever been to in any state. The staff really makes the difference. They are friendly, helpful and accommodating. The food is consistently good here. They rarely get out order wrong and when they do, they are quick to fix it. We've been going here for at least 4 years and over that period of time, there have been very few exceptions. Top notch for a chain of this level. They consistently offer coupons and specials as well.

Got a message from Friendly's corporate as a follow up to my review. It's nice to see they're paying attention. It's earned them a second chance...

He invested $5000 on his own and borrowed another $5000 from his mother to buy a bar named The Good Tavern and renamed the premise to Thank God It's Friday, inspired from an expression during his time at Bucknell University.
