I hadn't been here for quite a while, but decided to stop in with some of my biking buds. Glad we did! Food and service was great! I started with the best Crab Bisque I ever had...Fantastic! Then had the featured seafood entree which was also superb. All my friends enjoyed their meal, too! Highly recommended if you're in the area!

Pretty solid food and service. Apparently there is no air conditioning though. There are ceiling fans, but it's really not quite enough, and it wasn't scorching on the night we went. I really love the atmosphere. Super casual, anti-fancy. No starched uniforms, linens, nouveau decor, or whatever. The tables could've been picnic tables. Over all, I'll go again.

The atmosphere was great. The food was much more "fancy" than they let on, and that's a good thing. The Chicken Arrezzio was really tasty and the Cactus Duo that my friends had was great too. Scott, our server was knowledgable and very friendly. Great experience!

A Five Star eating experience camouflaged as a honky-tonk. We have gone to this restaurant 5 times now and have tried different things each time and every time was a pleasure. FINALLY, good food at affordable prices in Upper Bucks County! I sure hope they don't lose this chef. He cares about the food he puts out.

From the outside this restaurant appears like just a local bar, it is anything but.....I had the Marie chicken it was wonderful! My husband had the chicken and spinach ravioli he said it was very good! Even the fresh baked rolls were very good! They have fresh brewed ice tea which is always A+ in my book. We highly recommend this restaurant!

Stopped here for dinner after taking a long drive for a class at the state park. The wings were perfectly edible. I wouldn't call it cheap. But there really isn't anything out there in that area........

The decor I would say bordered on homey and bar/dive-like, but clean. Although the waiter was not personable, he was attentive, on a Saturday around 6pm it was not crowded in the small room. I liked that they have a short but diverse menu. I had the Wedge Salad and BBQ Ribs, which tasted fresh and delicious. My husband had the Talapia stuffed with Crab, it was also fresh tasting with chunks of crab. The included vegetable sides where prepared well too. The margarita was good. The steak and fish entrees are on the pricier side. We will go back.

Unexpectedly good. Ribs we're really good and not fatty. Would come back here. Nice outdoor space...not expensive either. Recommended.

Besides the food being really good (especially the ribs), I have to commend the owner, Mary, on a job well done. My husband and I brought my dad and his girlfriend to the Cactus Grill one Friday night when they were visiting from California. The wait was close to two hours and we were all really hungry, so we left. We went back the next Friday to try again. We decided to do this at the very last minute, so I didn't call ahead (the lesson I learned the week prior), and when we got there, Mary said we were looking at a wait of an hour and a half. My company wanted to wait, though, so we set up shop in the bar, where the bartender treated us very nicely. My dad gave Mary the sob story that we tried to eat at her fine establish the week before and had to leave, and that he's visiting from California and that his daughter is such an angel and that he begged her (me) to bring him back. And instead of smacking him upside the head (which he totally would have deserved), she made arrangements to have a post-storm outside table wiped down-- about 30 minutes after we put our name in. Our server was friendly and accommodating, the band was pretty good, and all of us cleaned our plates and licked our fingers for those last remnants of good bbq. To be fair and balanced, shortcomings include that we had to ask for water initially; the quesadilla appetizer was not very quesadilla-y; and we were given a hard time about not calling ahead.

Always have a good experience here. Really nice place to sit outside when the weather is nice. Prices could be a little better but comparable for the area (actually, there are plenty of places around here charging the same price for lower quality food). Service is normally good, could have been a little quicker for those of us running in on a lunch break.

Took a few visits to finally get use to and enjoy this restaurant. This is a great place for BBQ type foods such as ribs and burgers and a martini or beer. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portions. I ordered a "skinny girl" margarita and the bar tender came to our table to figure out how to make my drink the way I wanted. Very nice of him and my drink was perfect! Very relaxing dinner, great service, great ribs, and perfect margarita! Enjoyed it all!

This homey restaurant and bar is tucked away around a curve along 611. If you're not looking for it, you probably will miss it, especially if you're driving north. When I was here a few years ago, the chef and owner was Mary Elcavage - not sure if that's still the case? Quoting from their menu: "Specializing in the best BBQ, hand cut steaks, double thick chops and fresh seafood. On and off premise catering." I'd like to add that they have excellent ribs and delicious wings. Their ribs are so good, it should be illegal. They're open for lunch and dinner (I've only been here for dinner, at least four times) and I've seen folks stop in for take-out, though most come to dine-in. Recommended.

I went here for dinner tonight with my family and it was pretty terrible. I suppose I should take some responsibility for going to a place that looks like the Double Deuce from Roadhouse, ordering the stuffed flounder with crab meat and spinach, and then being disappointed that it wasn't up to par. The only review I read (which gave this place 4 stars) stated that this place has great ribs. It very well might. It might have great burgers. It might not. However, all 4 of my family members were pretty disappointed with what we ordered and felt that the trendy looking menu, featuring dishes with names like "Crispy Chicken with Artichoke Pesto and Goat Cheese", totally misrepresented the obviously prepackaged and poorly prepared dishes that actually showed up at our table. I won't be going back.

Great view and location! Live music definitely a plus. BBQ - not what I call the best around. Veggies in my plate did not look fresh either. Wish this place had better food, and I would definitely make it a favorite.

I really enjoy going to Cactus Grill. The FOOD: It's pretty great, not exceptional but really very good. Can be a a little pricey though. I strongly recommend the Black Bean Dip. The SERVICE: It's slow. If you're really really hungry and trying to get in and out then this is not the place to go. HOWEVER, if you are looking for a fun yet relaxing night, get some drinks (I recommend the patron margarita), go on a night when they have a band playing. I've started enjoying the slower service there, they don't rush you and they are happy if you want to hang out a while which I find lacking in other places that just want to turn tables. Overall: If you want to go here. First, make a reservation on a night when there's a band. Their website has dates of when bands will be there. Second, plan to hang out a while. If you're in a rush, DO NOT go. Third, relax, have a drink and have fun. Me and my boyfriend love going here. We're younger (mid 20's) but there's a mix of ages. It's really a great atmosphere. You don't need to be dressed up but you can get a little fancy if you'd like.

The food was great, the service was not bad but your at a place called the Cactus Grill not the Lowes hotel so for me that's alright. My only complaint is that after I ordered my food, I saw a board that said "Specials" and they looked pretty good. How do you expect me to order something that's not on the menu if you don't tell me about it? What I ordered was delicious anyway so I'll just have to remember to look at the board before I order next time.

Solid 3 stars. Maybe verging on 2.5. I never liked coming here as a kid. One big plus is that they have nice outdoor seating. The food is pretty good. But the service is absolutely, terribly slow. While I've only been here maybe 3x in the past 5 years, I've never been impressed by the service. I had run a 10k the morning of coming here... and by dinner I was starving! I had asked for a salad before my meal, which never seemed to come. I hate when I get my salad 30 seconds before my main meal, so I went over to my waitress who was talking with the other servers in the bar area, and asked her if I could have my salad. I also said "I'm a runner, and I love bread, can we have that too?" -- because all of the other tables seemed to have bread except us. She was all nice about it and said sure. So I went back to my table, but as I was walked back I happened to turn around and saw her rolling her eyes to the other servers about it. So uh, that kinda rubbed me the wrong way. I have been a server in the past and I wasn't an ass about how I asked. I get that you're "busy" (this place was not busy) but you could at least say "sorry about the wait I'll have that right out to you" or something. I don't think I had an unreasonable request. But whatever I guess. Which is why this place is 3 stars. Food is ok. Service is crap. If I happen to go back and experience differently I'll let ya know.
