Great food. Solid Beer selection. Hot bartenders, just don't get dating advice from them!

A year later and I started coming back here. I'm pleased to say the new bartenders are really great and their updated menu is awesome! I recommend the smoked jerk pulled pork sandwich. Quizzo is still really fun too! Glad this place is so close so I was able to see it improve so much in the past year.

This place is a hidden gem! Best Wings, Burgers, great attentive wait staff and coldest beer in Montgomery County! Pool table, several TV's and take out beer. You must come check it out for yourself!

A little dirty. Can be loud at times. Wings are ok. A lot of shady stuff goes on there. Good beer rotation.

"The Perk" isn't on the main road, so I don't think it gets the advantage of being near the Oak shopping center. It's very local (The first time I pulled up, there were people playing shirts and skins horseshoes across the street). The first thing I was surprised about is the interior space. It looks small from outside, but they have two bars, and a good bit of seating. The second thing I didn't expect was the food quality. The chili and tacos I had were quite good, and reasonably priced (the fish tacos being the best for $2). Their beer selection is small, but it hits all the bases. They have different happy hour and evening specials everyday. I'll probably go again for Thursday trivia.

My wife and I have been here a few times now. Solid beer rotation, bartenders are friendly and service is good. The food keeps us coming back, top notch wings and the salads and burgers are so good for the price. We live down the street and will be going back alot!

One of the best Dive bars on the planet! I used to frequent this place when we played soccer at a nearby facility Monday nights. The kitchen was open till 1:30 and they wouldn't ask you to leave till 2:30...How I ever got any work done on Tuesday I don't know, but we had LOTS of good times here at the Perky! The Perky is a dive bar. It's right in the middle of a neighborhood, just about everyone inside knows everyone else, and they allowed smoking in here up until a few years ago. It's also dark inside, and might be dirty, but you can't really tell because it's so dark! My glass is always clean and that is the important thing to note! They have a good jukebox, a pool table, 2 bars, plenty of seating and private parking. What makes it one of the best dive bars? The kitchen and the service! The kitchen is outstanding. Good sandwiches, burgers, wings...They also have their own smoker in the parking lot and smoke their own meats here! Decent selection on tap as well as plenty of bottled beverages. The food is a pleasant surprise, as is the service. I've only had female bartenders in my times here and they have all been warm and friendly, even to the non regulars! Brianna took care of me on my most recent visit. She has only been there 3+ months but already seems like she has family at the bar! The patrons are also friendly here. One of the regulars was buying a round this past Monday and made sure I got one too. A total stranger buying me a beer so I didn't feel left out! What a lovely gesture! I've read some reviews about "Shady stuff" at the Perky so I'd like to address this shady behavior. 1) The sinful people here hired some gorgeous girls to work the bar. Easy on the eye, pleasant to be around, extremely personable bartenders. One thing I don't like is that they seem to learn your name then call you by it when you come in. So SHADY! 2) They serve REALLY good food here, but don't charge that much for it so it's a bit deceptive. You would never believe how delicious and well-portioned your 6$ grilled chicken breast sandwich will be. This thing is so big half of it sticks of the bun! So SHADY! 3) Great drink specials and a good draught\bottle selection. So SHADY! 4) Really, it's a bit dark inside but that's the shadiest thing I've seen here, and I know my shades!

Local "dive" bar. For what it is they have awesome wings and awesome craft beer selection! Great place to go watch a game and slug down some beers!

One of the best burb bars in philly. Great food, decent beer selection, and good bartenders. Pretty sure that's all you need !

The Perky is a hidden gem that I am excited we discovered today! It's nestled in a residential area where you wouldn't expect to fantastic food, great service and a clean bar but that's exactly what we found! The cheese curds tasted exactly as they do Minnesota except the Perky gives you three dipping sauces! Minnesota please take a note! Sadly I could not eat my pictured meal but everyone else did and raved about the taste and quality! Our glasses were never empty and the waitress didn't mind separate checks and even remembered all of our names. The bathrooms were spotless as were the counters. There were more rest on tap than the average bar, I was lucky e Pugh to catch a cider which happens to be my favorite! If you are in the are don't be discouraged by the outside, head on in and get Perky!

Awesome little bar with great beer selection and some of the best wings I've had. Jerk sauce was my favorite. We shared Hot, Smoked, Jerk, and Garlic Butter. Our server/bartender/busser Amber was handling everything. She was awesome. Music selection was a little weird but jukeboxes can be like that.

Bring bail money This is a pretty dang sweet local joint that opens its doors to the hockey tournament heathens that are already shelac'd from post game parking lot festivities. This is usually subsequent to one of 2 scenarios: A fight that started on the ice spread into the stands which spread into the lobby and the cops showed up. ...Or a fight broke out in the parking lot after a bunch of guys were laughing at some other players girl friend who was gracefully throwing up in the parking lot...(which was pretty funny I gotta tell ya...ok you had to be there) and the cops showed up. So after "the man" conducted their sweep, everybody heads over to the Perkiomen just down the street. Great bar. Nice beer selection, great bar food mainstays that will satisfy any hungry beer league hockey player. This place is awesome enough that the likelihood that you'll consume several pitchers is a distinct possibility. Screaming the lyrics to "F da Po'lice" by NWA and then getting beat down like Rodney King by the town cops as you walk back to the rink also has high probability. No worries, you should be out of the slammer by the next mornings game. Bottom Line: No Sidney Crosby cry baby jokes in the Perkiomen Cafe...this is a Pittsburg Penguins town. The cops will beat you just on principal.

Great local bar I never would've known about had my fiance's pool league hadn't played there. I live 2 minutes away. The service was great. They have trivia on Thursdays which is a lot of fun. They also have $2 tacos on Thursdays. The fish tacos are amazing. Definitely a local bar, but not divey. Great beer selection and the drink prices are OK. I plan to return at least for trivia nights, really try the fish tacos.

I was in The Perk last week to catch up with an old friend over the Thanksgiving break and really had a blast. I had my first drink at The Perk about 7 years ago, so it was a nice feeling to ask for a beer without a huge knot in my stomach. I don't remember eating here before but that's probably not because I didn't... in any case, we ordered the nachos (without the chili) and they hit the spot! A few rounds of pool later and it was like I never left. The Perk allows smoking, which I was told, in Pennsylvania is left to the owner's discretion if 80% or more of an establishment's revenue is derived from alcohol sales. Naturally if most of the clientele prefers to smoke while they drink, and no longer can, it could mean the end of that bar. From a business perspective I think this is a fair policy; from a health standpoint I say thumbs down. All said and done, if it weren't for the smoke, this little friendly joint would be at the top of my list of places to grab a drink while out in the 'burbs. But unless someone else suggests The Perk, I'll probably save my lungs and pick a different spot next time.

Stopped in to watch a Phillies game. $2 pints and good wings. Nice people working the bar. Friendly locals and plenty of pool tables. Nothing high end here, the bar is linoleum. No smoking.
