Great restaurant great atmosphere great food We went there for an anniversary dinner , and brought a bottle of wine. We started off with Mediterranean platter, falafel, and fruit de la mer. Then 2 salads. We split an entree, the appetizers were so generous, and we could never hsve each finished one. We finished the night with baclava and cofee The owners Ibrahim and Waffa were both there, and took the time to say hello. The waitress was cheerful and personable, and added to the experience. I cannot recommend Sage enough, and we will be back. Soon!

It was ok. The service was good and people were nice. The hummus was bland and needed something else. The pasta was cooked well, not over done. It doesn't really seem Mediterranean, it's more Italian. Wouldn't recommend it but I also wouldn't discourage people from trying it and forming their own opinions.

I had the pasta Bolognese the pasta itself was good but the Bolognese sauce was just ok. My mom had that one of the veal dishes which she liked very much. We also had the hummus which was very good. The atmosphere is nice and the service is good although we did feel a bit rushed. I would go back. Next time I think I would try the kebabs or a meat dish. Ps. Fun location it's right next to the Great American pub which is the old Columbia hotel.

Excellent food (we had the Baba Ganoush, caeser salad, linguine and clams, and penne chicken), very friendly and enthusiastic wait staff. The overall atmosphere was very nice, and the quality of the food was great for the price. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Once again, our meals were mouth watering delicious and the portions were very generous. The stuffed rack of lamb was amazing as well as the ahi tuna. Don't forget to order the cute carrot cake at the end complimented with a Turkish coffee. And it's byob, so bring some wine!

We were strolling through Phoenixville last night looking for a good place to eat, and noticed the Sage menu in the window. So we stopped in to try it out. So glad we did! We were on the "early" side of dinner hour, so had the pick of the seating. Soon enough, others rolled in, but we had the best seat (near the window!) We ordered grilled calamari as an appetizer and it was delicious! My dinner pal showed me how to mop up the luscious garlickly oil juice as we munched on the fresh, light calamari (not fried, which we appreciated.) I also ordered the French Onion Soup. Recommended!! So crispy around the cheesy edges, and not a ton of salt. The cook must have put a touch of sage into it, which worked beautifully. I have traveled extensively, and this French onion soup was among the best I have ever had. Just perfect, even though Swiss and Provolone cheese was used, and not the traditional gruyere. (One slight improvement might be to add a splash of good cooking sherry to the soup before serving, for added flavor.) I also ordered the Mixed Mediterranean appetizer plate, which the manager adjusted to also include babganoush. Excellent! I especially loved the goat cheese and the tabouleh. The baba was also great---smoky and smooth, light and creamy with the slightest hint of tangy bite. Yum!! The hummus was also very good. Smooth, creamy and flavorful. A bit more garlic and lemon might have given it a bit of zip (to my personal taste), but overall, I recommend it highly. Super fresh! The rest of the menu looked wonderful, too. We were having a tough time choosing! Yes, there are many Italian dishes offered--which of course, are ALL Mediterranean--but we stuck with the soup, salad and appetizers as we were not super hungry when we arrived. Even so...the food portions we received were very generous! I brought home a doggie bag that will make for an exquisite lunch later today. Highly recommended. Good value. Attentive wait staff. Enjoyable ambience. Check out Sage Mediterranean in Phoenixille!

I went here with my fiancé and a couple friends the other night. We had the hummus plate to start which was pretty good. Then they brought out a complimentary bruschetta!! That was an awesome and delicious surprise. I got the penne vodka with chicken instead if shrimp. It was the. Best. Penne. Vodka!! I order that a lot at Italian restaurants and it was so delicious here!! Seriously, so good. I would recommend going here for a BYO meal.

We loved this restaurant when it was Olive in Royersford, PA. The food is DE-LI-CIOUS! My husband and I are vegetarians and so we had salad and pasta. I had the Penne Asparagi in a cognac sauce and I cannot stop thinking about how tasty it was! The pasta portions are HUGE and everything is so flavorful. The herbs and spices in the dish really gave it a fresh, bold taste. The chef also served us complimentary salad, which was great! The place is clean and the atmosphere is nice. Service was wonderful.

Just an amazing experience. Friendly staff and excellent food quality! Will definitely come back.

First time at Sage. The menu can be a bit overwhelming (even the specials menu had to have 20 things on it) but the food was great. The pistachio encrusted salmon and fettuccine carbonara were both excellent.

Great BYOB. Visited last Friday for a late afternoon/early evening birthday dinner. Jeff provided very attentive service and great meal suggestions. We started with the hummus which was very good. Jeff brought us each a Caesar salad which was excellent; the lettuce was crisp and the dressing light and fresh. My wife had the pistachio encrusted salmon with mashed sweet potatoes and it was fantastic, I had the stuffed rack of lamb special over mashed potatoes and it was outstanding. It was a very large portion (I am a big eater) and I was very pleasantly surprised. For dessert, we had the baklava which was delicious. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

I loved this place when it Olives, and I'm so happy it reopened in Phoenixville. They have great pasta and caesar salads. They staff is always extremely friendly and attentive. I only wish they had better bread, but all their other food makes up for it.
(5)Amy G.
Went on a Saturday night, device was ok for a busy night. The bread was cold and from a store. The "Greek" salad was balsamic vinegar on lettuce. Poor quality from the kitchen all and I don't see going back.

First of all, I'm not sure why this is advertised as a Mediterranean Restaurant. The majority of the items offered are not what I consider 'mediterranean', more Italian..which I guess Italy borders the Mediterranean Sea, but still there's a reason Italian food has its own classification. What little I did have that was my mediterranean was not very good. Additionally, while mediterranean food is largely plant and legume based, there weren't a whole lot of vegetarian entree options. So right off the bat, I was disappointed. I was with a party of 8 on a night where we were the only table in the restaurant. I had a mixed greens salad, which was OK. Nothing special. I didn't care for the balsamic dressing it was served with. I also tried the Sage Salad, which again, was just a salad, nothing special. We were sent out a couple plates of hummus on the house, which was nice. The hummus itself, however left a lot to be desired. I can get better hummus at the supermarket. It was pretty flavorless and not authentic tasting. I wanted it to be the creamy, garlicky delicious homemade hummus that I ate while in Israel. Add a little olive oil on top. I'll admit, this is hard to find anywhere outside of the city, but this wasn't comparable in the least. For my entree I had the grouper special. It had some chopped veggies on top and a tahini sauce-I guess that made it 'Mediterranean'. But the flavors were not Mediterranean at all. I will say the fish tasted fresh. But the flavors didn't work very well to me. Something was off about the dish. Portion size was huge-almost overwhelming. Everyone else at the table felt similarly. The food tasted fresh, but it was nothing to rave about. It's not bad, but it's not great. The atmosphere was okay. It's a cute space and I like that it is a BYOB, but again didn't have a Mediterranean feel to it. I just really still want some delicious authentic Mediterranean food in Phoenixville. Please.

Went with a large group of woman (8) for holiday dinner. Menu is enormous for a byob I ordered the scallops with risotto. Maybe the chef was off but scallops were not prepared correctly. Muscle had not been removed, all were sandy and over cooked. The risotto had the texture of fluffy rice. Not creamy as I expected. Not one of the meals was reported as great, okay at best. I would give them a second chance maybe it was just an off night.
(3)L F.
Menu looks great. Dishes look great as they pass by. Just wish a server would take our order sometime soon so we stood a chance of actually tasting the food. Will post more if we ever actually get anything more than bread, pita and olive oil.

Not great. the entire place is very odd and stiff. The menu is excessive and primarily pasta, which isn't what I would expect at a Mediterranean restaurant. they had a section on the menu labeled "Mediterranean items" and there were two things on it. they brought out a bowl of bread and cold pita bread. the pita was flat and obviously removed from a freezer and not homemade. I don't know what was up with it but you could buy better pita in a bag from the grocery store. we got falafel for an appetizer. it was completely tasteless and the texture was mushy. the dipping sauce tasted like maple syrup. I ordered the bruschetta for my meal and was super underwhelmed by it. the bread was soggy, the tomatoes were hardly ripe, and there was so much Parmesan cheese on top that you could hardly see anything else. when we were finishing up, the waitresses were standing maybe three feet away from us discussing politics of their job and their tips which I found incredibly tacky and unprofessional. yikes.

We went on a Tuesday night so maybe the main chef and regular servers were off, but... Let me begin by saying I am not a Foodie that writes very discriminating reviews, nor am I hard to please when it comes to food. I pretty much like most things and usually don't leave restaurants disappointed but... I also know this is a new restaurant and I live in Phoenixville and hesitate to leave a bad review for a place just starting out, but our experience was so disappointing that I want to warn others before spending a lot on dinner when there are so many other much better choices on Bridge St. Right off the bat we had a bad vibe when we were seated. There were only a few tables occupied when we were seated, and we were led to a table right next to - i.e. very close proximity to - one of the only other tables that was occupied with a party of 4. That is a pet peeve when there are so many other open tables to be seated right next to another table. The ambiance is okay - nothing special but nice. Our salads were good and we enjoyed the bread and dipping oil before our dinners. But something was definitely off when our main courses arrived. I ordered the Chicken Zingara which is chicken breast sauteed in olive oil, garlic and white wine served with mushrooms and black olives in fresh plum tomato sauce. The portion was huge - 2 large breast the filled the plate. I took one home. Not sure if you could get away with serving just one, but it seemed oversized for a normal meal but that is not a bad thing. The chicken breasts were large and tough. The breasts could have been younger, smaller and more tender. (At home I tenderize large breasts like this with a meat mallet and that makes them thinner and much more tender.) There was something definitely weird about the taste of the topping. I don't know how to describe it but the flavor wasn't good at all. My daughter had Spaghetti Caprese which is served in a plum tomato sauce with fresh basil, mozzarella cheeses, garlic & spices. There was definitely something weird about the taste of this dish also. Definitely off. We both did not like it. The portion was also huge. They brought a nice side of vegetables and put it at a place setting where nobody was sitting. Nobody touched it because we didn't know whose it was. When we asked the server whose it was she didn't know, and guessed it was my daughter's with the pasta but I don't think it was. The Servers were friendly (a little overly so - tried a little too hard) and got an A for effort but obviously inexperienced. I know others left several good reviews and I hope I have the nerve to try this place again on a weekend when the first string is working, but I doubt I will go back.
(2)Anthony M.
The best thing you can say about this place is you can get in on a Saturday night. The servers were pleasant and the atmosphere is nice but that's where it ends. My wife had a pedestrian chicken dish and I had the scallops with risotto. The scallops were burnt and dry. Expensive relative to the quality. We will not be coming back.
(2)Chrissy S.
Fantastic, attentive, expedient service. Food was excellent! We have been by this spot a number of times and it's never packed, but it should be. We had a couple appetizers (Mediterranean combo and mussels) and both were huge portions. For entrees we had a couple veal dishes and the chicken kabob. The tabbouleh that came with the kabob was the best I've ever had. The kabob was more than enough for two people to share and would be great for takeout with a salad or combo appetizer as a nice dinner for two. Highly recommend.

Went in on Food Truck Festival as the lines for the middle Eastern trucks were too long for us. Service was ok/good, though I felt our waiter wasn't all that knowledgeable. Had to ask for water refill which isn't good in my book(plus we were the only ones there till about half way through our dining experience). Husband and I ordered the Kofta sandwich and steak shawarma sandwich. Maybe they are better with Italian, but we were utterly disappointed. Not nearly enough seasoning and too much tahini on the shawarma. The Kofta sandwich, I don't know where to begin. I think adding a pickle was a horrible idea and I'm questioning the ingredients ( it also smelled weird to me). I'd give this place a 2, except for the fact they did not have a changing table in the women's bathroom. Really!?!? It's not a five star fine dining type of place, so you should expect families to dine in. There was plenty of room for one too. I just don't get that at all. My recommendation is to pass on this place.

This is a very cozy yet classy small restaurant. Great for a date night as well for a night out with friends. Staff was very friendly and helpful with a lot of suggestions for appetizers and entrees. Food was very good with fresh flavor. I will definitely go back.

Excellent, top quality, fresh and amazing food! The seafood caesar salad was the best I've had, request a lemon wedge to squeeze the juice on and in your ice water. The owner was very attentive! Coming back for date night with a bottle if wine to try the salmon! The whole menu sounds delicious!
(5)Rula R.
This is one of the few restaurants that make make everything fresh from scratch. Every item I had was very very tasteful and the portions are huge with very reasonable prices. We also got caprese salad on the house from the owner which was very generous. :)

Brand new (10 days old) Mediterranean BYOB on the main drag in Phoenixville, just down the sidewalk from Iron Hill Brewery. Quite large, with two rooms, only one of which they were using on a Friday evening. But that half was largely packed with a generally older crowd. Large windows out onto the street give it an open feel, and the tables are comfortable and well spaced. They are only just open, so I'm not going to make a lot of comments so as to let them get their feet under them first. I did very much enjoy the Linguine Bolognese I ordered as an entree. Nothing particularly unusual about it, but well prepared from fresh ingredients. Just be aware that the entrees are VERY large. You will be taking home a doggy bag! There are some obvious areas for improvement, such as the gratis bread that I thought was better suited for a hoagie. The small shrimp appetizer was lost on a huge plate, and the hummus was rather flavorless. Average quality, large thick wine stems. They'll open your wine for you, but then they made no attempt to keep our glasses filled. The menu has a lot of pasta, fish and some veal, so choose wines accordingly. Service was competent and friendly. They accept CCs. Parking on the street or in local metered lots. No website or Facebook page that I can find yet.

Not great. the entire place is very odd and stiff. I ordered the bruschetta for my meal and was super underwhelmed by it. the bread was soggy, the tomatoes were hardly ripe, and there was so much Parmesan cheese on top that you could hardly see anything else. when we were finishing up, the waitresses were standing maybe three feet away from us discussing politics of their job and their tips which I found incredibly tacky and unprofessional. yikes.
