Funky "fast food" with great portion sizes. The Oxtail is really greasy and the arugula and blue cheese are overpowering. Order without the toppings or plan on scraping it off, but overall the oxtail flavor is great. The ground beef is listed as "kobe" on the menu but its so loaded in seasonings and sauce, its barely even tastes like beef. The pickled jalopenos are way too spicey and again, the arugula ruins the taste. This is one that tasted ok, but I don't think I'd order it again. At $3.50-$5.50 per taco, they're cheap and portions are HUGE, you'll have trouble eating a 2nd one

I stumbled upon a show on the food network called taco something and I tuned in simply for my love of tacos. To my benefit it was an episode located in my hometown and I learned of a few places but this one I had to try. I went in and it was history from there. Friendly employees, fast service, and the quality is unmatched. I'm Puerto Rican and tacos are one of my favorites and I've never had better tacos than here. Not to mention EVERY time I stop in I have to have the chorizo cheese fries. The prices are the best. The food is the best. I moved from Philly to Pittsburgh and I think about Union Taco way more than I do cheesesteaks.... And that's saying a lot.

Close to 5 stars- I rock a union burrito most of the time but they have a fantastic selection of tacos too. Clean, quick and Mexican character. Dig it!!

On god's green earth I cannot rationalize paying 4-7 dollars for one taco that is sloppy, from a to go place. Some tacos taste good, other tacos do not. The decor is standard. You can BYOB. There is a lot of hot sauce, maybe to cover up the taste, and since my third visit I have had no inclination to return.

Great tacos I prefer the chicken taco which has amazing shredding chicken and the pork as well!!! Super fresh and great prices.

Totally different feel, more similar to a fast food joint then place to sit down and eat. BYOT aka bring your own tequila which is cool and they will make margaritas with it. Tacos are tasty but a little pricey. SOOO many hot sauces to choose from which is a main reason I like this place. You walk up to the counter to place your order and pay and then they bring the food to you.

Union Taco is a solid spot on Main Street. The food comes out quickly and has good flavor. The employees are usually pretty nice and personable. I also like the plethora of hot sauces they offer. Prices are fair for the amount of food you get, and I appreciate that they take cards instead of being cash only. My favorite taco that I've tried so far is the carnitas. It comes with a fresh albeit small slice of avocado. Grab two for a quick dinner or lunch.

I ordered a single taco to go. I was super famished. I tried their fish taco. The fish itself was cooked perfectly. I really enjoyed the fried fish. However, the slaw that they used with the fish wasn't to my taste. It was very salty, but more of a soy sauce salt to it. That really overpowered the entire taco. I didn't even taste any of the citrus of the lime. I'll come back and try some more things.

Love he traditional tacos but have not had anything that wowed me. 9 dollar burrito with chicken that is not grilled and seems like canned chicken. Better quality can be had elsewhere. The beef traditional taco has good flavor due to fresh side ingredients such as the pico. I want to give them more but of six menu items, I've found 1 that is worth it's price in terms of quality.

The best tacos is Manayunk/Roxborough hands downs. The Mexican corn on the cob is a treat you need have to believe. Also, they have Valentino hot sauce...as authentic Mexican as it gets.

TACOS BE WILIN' YO. I picked up two from the front counter. He said "what chu want" I said "Two tacos, STAT". Cause I was hungry. 5 mins later tacos came out. I ate em. I said YOOOOOO. I paid and left. Overall the experience was good.

BYOT! But their house made margarita mix ($7) is so sour it makes me cringe just thinking about it. On the bright side their tacos are tasty. The flank steak was tender. The pickled jalapenos added only a slight kick. The mahi mahi was seared well but wish there was more than just one piece in my taco. Will definitely be back to try the cactus and oxtail.

Fast casual mexican joint in Manayunk. The food is really good - tacos, burritos, tortas, chorizo fries, guacamole and chips. Tacos are really expensive though, they should really do a deal like buy 3 get 1 free. BYO so bring some beer or tequila with you.

Union Taco was one heck of an addition to Main Street. I recommend trying all of their tacos. It may take a few visits but it's worth it. My favorites are the Poblano Chicken, Pork Cheek, and the Seared Flank. They burst with flavor and each has it own very unique taste. Be sure to get a side of guacamole and chips (strawberry habanero is my first choice). Apparently they deliver too! Heaven in a tortilla :)

Taco's are my favorite food. I was excited to see Union taco move in down the street because it's hard to find a solid taco place in manayunk. I was extremely disappointed in the quality of the taco. No flavor- I feel like they pull the meat out of a crockpot and slop it on a flour soft shell. The taco falls apart and makes a bigger mess with each bite. I would not recommend this place to anyone on my Peruvian side of the family. My dad would be disappointment in me if he brought me up to like these tacos.

I don't usually spend $5 per taco, but these are good tacos. They are double the normal taco size. The meat isn't freshly cook every time someone orders, but the taste was good, the cacti taco was quite flavorful with plenty of smoky taste. It isn't cheap, but it is good

This place is delicious! Creative menu with lots of options. By far the best tacos in manayunk. Byob which is a plus. We were there the first night they opened and the had some issues with timing of the food but I think they'll figure that out as they go. Definitely go and try it out!!

Literally one of the best pork burrito's that I've had in years! I tried the chips and jalapeño cheese dipping sauce as well. The chips are fresh and seemed to be homemade. Cannot wait to go back and try the magi tacos that everyone was ordering.

They deliver! Food came in under 20 minutes and was hot and fresh. I got the Union Burrito with chicken, cactus and mushroom tacos and some cheese fries. All were amazing was so happy to have this as an option especially for delivery where your options are pizza,Chinese, and more pizza. The quality and freshness of ingredients will keep bringing me back. thanks taco people!

Just ordered 4 burritos and everyone was disappointed. I have eaten here on two other occasions and was impressed by the great flavors of the burrito, until today. None of the burritos had cheese in them which made the burritos extremely bland, there was an overwhelming taste of herbs which was not appealing. Unfortunately their rice and beans had the same overwhelming taste, needless to say that it was a waste of money.

My wife and I came to union taco today for the first time. It is amazingly delicious! The mahi-mahi tacos are awesome! We also had the seared flank steak and the cactus tacos. Both were great as well!

Umm .. I miss machismo Seriously, union taco has fresh ingredients and the food is okay but extremely overpriced. Also, they are right next door to cactus who usually has affordable food specials. If it's late night and I wanna eat something fast im going to choose the $2 slice of pizza over a $5 mini taco with all meat and no veggies. Sorry

We were in Manayunk midday and needed a quick lunch. As many people who frequent this area during the day know, this is not easy to find. We stumbled upon Union Taco and headed inside. The place was clean, decent atmosphere. I saw a huge variety of hot sauces, which made me happy immediately. Particularly, a selection of El Yucateco, some of my favorites. There was also a huge variety of tacos on the board. I couldn't decide what to try, so I stuck with standards to get a decent gauge of the place. We ordered the chips and queso, traditional beef tacos, and fish tacos. The chips and queso came immediately. The chips were excellent. They seemed to be hot, and house made. They queso wasn't overly thick and had a great smoky flavor. The tacos came out quickly after that. They both came on a flour tortilla, which was kind of a relief. I'm a big fan of good corn tortillas, but most corn tortillas are a disappointment. The original taco was loaded with beef, pickled jalapenos, greens, pico, and that smoky queso. They were absolutely delicious. I haven't tasted a taco like this before. It's definitely it's own animal. It's like Philly meets Mexico, and it's one of those shameful blind dates you need google maps to get home from in the morning. The fish tacos were also excellent, simple, and fresh. Crispy fish, and the slaw almost had an Asian flavor. I'm very happy I found this place. I can't wait to try the other menu items that caught my eye: pork cheek taco, oxtail taco, cuban torta, short rib torta, etc. It's difficult to get excited about going to lunch in this area. So this place is a very welcome addition.

Ordered the mahi mahi, braised chix, oxtail, and traditional taco and they were all great! My favorite was the chicken. Also ordered a chicken burrito, that was nothing special. The burrito had a lot of rice and beans, little chicken. But the chicken that was in the burrito tasted great. I would have given this place five stars but the burrito just didnt do it for me. This may be my new go-to taco joint :)

Incredible shredded pork tacos...the only complaint is the atmosphere is not the best ...everything I tried was delicious the flavor was on point...the chorizo fries were incredible as well...I want to go back for the oxtail taco...I have been looking for a review on said taco!

My boyfriend and I recently ate here and the tacos were really good but the rice and beans side order was the winner for me..... My only complaint is that it is on the pricey side

I got the fish taco and the mushroom taco and both were delicious. The mushroom taco was very hearty and had bold flavors while the fish taco complemented with the cole slaw and ginger dressing was very light and refreshing. I went on a Tuesday at 9:30p so the wait was minimal for me, less than 10 minutes but I was quite surprised how tasty the tacos were!! My only thing is that the tacos are a little on the expensive side and you need at least two to fill you. Enjoy!!

My boyfriend and I came here around 8 o'clock on the Friday night. We sat at the outside table since it was a nice night. When we went inside to order my boyfriend asks how big the burritos are. The guy behind the counter goes, "burrito sized." (Extended moment of awkward silence.) My boyfriend and I stood there and just kind of looked at him. If you have been to chipotle, freebirds..or any other place that sells burrito there is no consistency size. Thus, making the comment stupid, and annoying. The guy behind the counter seemed bored, unwilling to discuss the me, and even assist me with a food allergy concern. It was the first week union taco was open, how can you have employees that already give two shits less about the menu? We ordered the queso and chips. The queso comes out it's extremely running and in this small little cup. Once again, there is another awkward moment of silence because expectation and reality were epically different. I was expecting jalapeño queso to have chucks of maybe tomatoe with some kick of spice in it. This stuff had zero spice, and was the consistency of creamy tomato soup. Regardless, once I dipped my first chip into it's fattening salty depths I found heaven. I had the pork al pastor, and ox tail tacos on corn tortilla. My boyfriend had the "burrito sized"'union burrito. I felt both the pork and the ox tail were seasoned perfectly. You get a pretty good amount of meat per taco too. But, you get sacrificed on the vegetable and additional toppings side of the bargain. I was disappointed with the fact they didn't drain the meat in any way. So, the tacos came with a runny messy of grease. This is perfectly find at a road side taco shack or Taco Bell. But, if your selling 5 dollars taco I shouldn't have to fish my taco out of grease. This can also be dangerous on corn tortillas that tend to disintegrate when they get damp. I was also disappointed because things were excluded from the taco and things were added without me being notified. For example, the pork should have come with cheese, and that was missing. The ox tail had a random piece of spinach, and the the caramelized onions were not there unless they were hidden in the meat. It's sad considering there's 2-3 toppings per taco that they couldn't get that straight. It's on the cheaper side of Mexican food in manayunk, you can bring your own tequila, and the food is quick served and quickly eaten. I would go back again, but I wouldn't write home about it

They are open late night with a limited menu. Pork and fried cactus tacos were both good, but the cheese fries. Oh man. Get them. They give you a lot, and they're slightly spicy and the cheese is a bit fancier than typical cheese whiz, but it's still liquid cheese. Definitely go here.

Maybe I came at an extremely off day, but this place cannot handle the large crowd it often attracts. This is supposed to be an order-up-front and find-your-own-seat kind of place, which implies food should NOT take that long to come out. I was maybe 7th in line, but had to wait FORTY minutes for my food AFTER I ordered. That makes service alone 1 star. Tacos? For a place whose menu is primarily tacos, these are significantly disappointing. I ordered al pastor, which to them basically meant put hot sauce on some pork. We also ordered mahi mahi, which were decently better than the al pastor. Oddly, my favorite thing from this place were the churros. I would return here for their chocolate sauce churros, but definitely not for their tacos.

So maybe I'm a taco nazi, but these were some of the most disappointing tacos I have had in a long time. I came here for lunch yesterday and was willing to be impressed. The primary color scheme decor is lacking with a chalkboard menu that is hard to read, and awkward with other patrons sitting in front of it. To start, we got the jalapeño queso, which is where the disappointment began. The chips were good, but the queso was a very small portion that was extremely runny and had no spicy kick at all. It was in a plastic cup that no chips could fit inside unless you broke them up. It seems these same issues came up in reviews written over six months ago, and nothing has changed. I then split a cactus taco, a mushroom taco, and the pork burrito with my boyfriend. The tacos are quite large, not street style at all, but they seem to be stuffed with random ingredients that aren't complimentary at all. I'm not even sure what was the actual cactus in the cactus taco, but there were a bunch of black beans, onions, and other ingredients. The wild mushroom taco was a blatant lie. If it was called just a mushroom taco, that would be fine. But, it was not. The mushrooms were very far from wild -- they were just button mushrooms that were mediocrely cooked, served with some other veggies with a few glops of goat cheese on top. What? The burrito was probably a half step above the tacos, but the pork had an extremely sweet flavor to it that was very off-putting. Pair this with very lackluster service, and I won't come back.

Not the most amazing tacos but certainly not bad. The size of their tacos is pretty big. I tried the traditional and mahi mahi. The traditional was good, very flavorful. I didn't like the mahi mahi all that much, it was a little bland for me. I also ordered the chips and queso. The chips were good but queso wasn't very tasty. Most of the menu is written on the board, there's also paper menu (print outs, looks a little cheap in my opinion). They have a bunch of hot sauces set on the bar top but no small packets for the ones who do take out. The inside has some are seats, some tables for dine in. There are also a few tables outside as well.

The seared Mahi Taco is everything, one is usually enough but if your really hungry get two. I have also had the poblano chicken taco, which is good too. Priced right! You have to try this place! Many other tacos to choose from.

To be completely upfront and honest, yes, the free taco they offered during their opening night may have slightly influenced my rating... but only because it was damn good. The old Caputo's is now Union Taco. While Union doesn't serve the late night hours that Caputo's once did, the quality of food they offer is on par with the pizza joint I miss greatly. Yes, main street is not short on Mexican options and $3 to $5 for a taco may seem pricey, but good food usually wins out. They also have some unique tacos like Oxtail or Cactus. I didn't stray to far from norm on my 1st trip, so can only recommend the Traditional and Fish tacos at this point. I'll be back for more adventurous dinners in the near future.

Really wanted to like this place but was very disappointed. I love guacamole and order it at every Mexican restaurant so I have tried a lot! The guacamole here was soo salty that we couldn't eat it. :( That wasn't a good start to our meal. The food definitely took long time to come out, especially since I thought it was supposed to be a casual and quick place. I saw one man get up and complain about the wait while we were there. We got the short rib torta which lacked flavor and was very underwhelming. The pork taco was good though. Maybe you just need to stick to tacos here. Overall, the experience was not great so I am not running back just to try more tacos.

On a nice summer afternoon, Manayunk welcomed Union Taco to the neighborhood. Union Taco welcomed every guest with a free taco. I'm a little surprised about Union Taco's decision to open a store on Main Street to be honest. It's literally on the same block as Cactus and down the street from Taqueria Feliz. What's the difference? Well, Union Taco is BYO. You also place your order at the counter and bring it to the table. This seems like a great place for a quick, casual taco. At the time I arrived, they were preparing the chicken taco for everyone to sample. The Poblano Braised Chicken taco was stuffed with pickled tomatillos, queso fresco, piquillo coulis. I got the honor of taking the wrapper off the red Chili Habanero hot sauce. The taco wasn't huge which is fine for a free sample. Normally they are $4 a pop so it's reasonable enough to make a multi-taco meal. As of today, the website lists the chicken taco for $7 so I'm glad the menus that they were passing out said otherwise. The taco itself was pretty good. The braised chicken was melt in your mouth good. Speaking of melted, the taco was fresh out of the kitchen so the cheese had a nice melt to it. To my own fault, I probably put a little too much hot sauce on to get a true assessment of the taco. It was spicy, just the way I like it though. I was literally there within the second hour of operation and could see there were some growing pains. I like to cut up my tacos and they didn't have silverware or plastic ware. They also didn't have a trash can yet and you needed to hand your plate to one of the employees. The employees did seem friendly and eager to make the new taco shop work. The menu looks pretty interesting over and has many interesting ingredient tacos. I look forward to going back and exploring their offerings.

I had to kill 30 minutes on Main Street while waiting for my phone to be fixed at the iPhone repair next door. Ordered the strawberry habanero guacamole and sat down with a book. Food was brought out quickly (as well as a complimentary beverage which is available for guests dining in). Chips were slightly stale, but the guac was very good, and the portion was huge. I think it cost me $8-$9 which makes it the most appealing Mexican place on Main street for me. I will definitely be back to try some tacos.

I wish I could this place a better rating, and my review comes with a major caveat. We ate here smack in the middle of the Manayunk StrEAT Food Festival. Read: it was PACKED; in fact, I didn't know that many people actually existed in Manayunk. I should say that the tacos themselves were quite tasty - we ordered one fish taco, one mahi mahi taco, and one pulled pork taco. We meant to try a poblano chicken taco and chips with queso, but they were out of both (along with water.... come on guys). I guess they found more chips, because I kept seeing people who came in just after us with orders of chips, so that kind of stunk. Anyway, the tacos were definitely pretty good, and combined with the fact that we were starving, they really hit the spot. HOWEVER, a major part of the reason we were so starving is because we waited 80 minutes for our tacos - I am not exaggerating here. 80 minutes for 3 tacos! Again, I realize this was during one of the most insane rushes the place has probably ever seen, but their organization and system was really lacking. Everyone seemed nice, but they needed to get some cojones and be a lot more assertive in terms of delivering food to their many waiting patrons. Maybe just yell out the ticket number as the orders come up rather than meekly wandering through a huge crowd searching for the magic ticket number? Things probably could have worked a lot more efficiently. Just some food for thought. Overall, waiting 80 minutes for 3 tacos was incredibly lame, but at least I scored a good seat and was with great company and when we finally did get our food, it was pretty good. Given the circumstances, all is forgiven and I would happily give Union Taco another chance if I found myself in the area (with a LOT of time to spare...wink).

I swear by the Fish Tacos and Mushroom Torta. I order them at least twice a week. If you haven't tried Union Taco yet, you're missing out on one of the best taco spots in Philly. They offer flour and corn tortillas to meet anyone's preferences. They're good for eat-in or delivery too. Delivery always seems to come earlier than the quoted, which is an added bonus. I hope this becomes a Main Street mainstay.

Jaime ..
I ordered a traditional taco for $3.5 and a fish taco for $4. The cashier told me that they are pretty big that you can actually get full with one, this was certainly not the case; they where normal size. The traditional (ground beef) taco was good, but the fish taco was lacking avodado and it had a small fish fillet. Also, I looking forward for more options in their menu, its a mexican restaurant and they only have one burrito available and a variety of "tortas" which stands for sandwiches in their own terms.

Definitely worth the money! I thought it was pricy for a taco, but they load up on the meat. One taco was enough to get me full. It did take almost 15 minutes for us to get our tacos, but it was worth the wait.

Amazing oxtail tacos!! This is a super easy, convenient taco shop on Main with more or less traditional offerings. The mahi mahi tacos are fine, but got a little watery (maybe too much salsa?). The beans and rice are flavorful and remind more of some great dirty rice I've had living in the South. Great spice, huge portion (enough for 2), but a little greasy. This place is definitely worth a shot. I'll definitely return :)

I liked this place a lot. I had the pork and oxtail tacos. The pork was very good but the oxtail was the real star. Loved it. This places loses a star b/c the margarita mix was awful. The mixture came out as if it would glow in the dark, way too sweet and syrupy. Next time, we'll bring beer.

I've been here a couple of times and everything I've had was great. The flavors are really awesome (anything with chorizo and the Cuban especially) and the price is pretty decent for the amount of food you get. I wouldn't call this 'authentic', its just delicious.

Some of these reviews are ridiculous.....didn't realize how many taco nazis were around here Union Tacos are solid. I like the Mahi Mahi's the best.....I am a big eater and 2 tacos w/ some chips and salsa was plenty for me. Good ingredients, fresh lime and cilantro, plentiful hot sauce selection.

Updated review (from 3 to 4 stars). Left my old one below for reference. They've definitely shaped up since my original review. Consistency issues are all gone. The food has been coming out of the kitchen much faster and accurately during lunch hours. Prices haven't changed, but like I said before its still worth it for their quality and flavors. Much improved. My go-to is 2 traditional beef tacos and an order of nachos w/queso. That being said, their burritos and tortas are definitely on point too though. ----- Union Taco is part of my weekly lunch circuit around Main St and I go about twice a week during the daytime. When they're on, the food is excellent. I've tried about 90% of the menu, and as long as the kitchen is being consistent, its all really really good. My problems: - Sometimes they seem to just throw any toppings they want onto your tacos, inconsistent with whats listed on the menu. I also haven't seen a piece of corn in the "Fire Roasted Corn & Black Bean salsa" in about two weeks. - If you order a burrito for sit in, it comes in a plastic boat with a paper liner. They cut the burrito in half and cover it in sour cream forcing you to use a fork and knife - which you will soon realize becomes a huge problem with the paper liner underneath. Watch out for cut paper all up in your burrito. Order burritos "to go" even if you're sitting in - the cardboard container is much better. - Everything costs about $2-3 more than any other taco place. But as I said, as long as they can fix consistency issues in the kitchen, I don't mind because its all so good. If you want 2 steak tacos, its gonna set you back $13. Add guac, and you're at $20. (As good as the flank steak is, get the Traditional tacos for $3.50/ea and you wont be disappointed) - If there are more than like 6 people in the restaurant at any given time, they get a bit flustered and unorganized. They opened about 2 months ago, so maybe this will improve with time/staff. But the flavors are seriously A+.

Union Taco in still-cool Manayunk is the first branch of the original Union Taco located in the not-as-cool neighborhood of 7th and Girard. It's quite a contrast in neighborhoods but the food tastes the same. Tacos are the main bill of fare here and each that I have tried is tasty and creatively put together. Their traditional taco with ground Kobe beef, home-made jalapeño queso, and pico de gallo is a good place to start and will def not disappoint. There are also a couple of vegetarian options including their marinated cactus taco. Plus they have a wide assortment of hot sauces you can use to add a kick (or in some cases a punch!) The Union Taco in Manayunk is attractive inside and has a couple of tables outside as well.

These really hit the taco craving spot. While these may not have had that authentic mexican taste, most of the tacos we got were delicious. Prices are reasonable, as the tacos are a very generous size with lots of filling. None of the tacos were out of this world great, but if I'm craving a hearty taco again, I'll definitely be back here. My boyfriend and I decided to share a bunch of them (ok, I'll admit we polished off 5 and I'm slightly ashamed). We got: - Oxtail - very very tasty with a lot of meat. reminded me of french onion soup with the beef stock flavor and carmelized onions. bleu cheese got to be a little much, but think it was a good combo. - Traditional - which surprised me to be one of my favorites! the ground kobe had so many great rich flavors going on, and had your traditional delicious toppings. So much kobe meat in this one too. - Pork Carnitas - This I was expecting to be my favorite but fell short. Thought they were very creative with the pomegranate seeds, bbq, and avocado but wasn't as flavorful as the others. It had one tiny piece of avocado on there, and it was just messy. - Chicken - This one rocked! flavors were perfect to compliment the pulled tender spiced chicken pieces. This one felt the closest to a true mexican taco. - Fried Fish - This one kind of stunk. They tried all this asian theme that was clearly not their specialty and they thought "eyy lets have an asian one" last minute. Missed the mark big time. Had one small piece of bland fish and watery teryaki sauce that killed the wonderful flavor from all the other tacos that was still left. Got these quick, didn't think it was too expensive, and the service was typical for a take-out place. Liked their menu on the chalkboard, but not too much charm about the place otherwise. They definitely make a few damn good, generously portioned tacos there. I predict a lot of stops here after a few drinks in the warmer weather ;-) Think this place a great addition to the Main Street line-up.

I've never had a fish taco but I'm surely glad my 1st was here! My friends have been singing the praises of the fish taco here & booooooy was it good! Fresh, good ingredients, I will be back again and again for that amazingly perfectly balanced flavor!!!

My first impression was this was pretty solid place. Although I still mourn late night pizza from Caputo's (the former occupant), late night tacos seem to be an acceptable substitute. The tacos tasted good and I like that you could order individual based on how hungry you thought you were. This is review is solely based on my late night experience, will need to update if I attend at a normal hour.

AMAZING FOOD. My girlfriend and I had the union burrito, the portobello tortas, the mushroom taco, the brussel sprouts, and the queso and chips. Got delivery, showed up fast, hot, fresh and was delicious. Worth the $30 check. Ate every last bite. Will go here again!!!

I wasn't impressed by the food; the chicken burrito was bland and texture-wise it was very mushy. The taco salad with steak was also bland and overall lacking in flavor. The taco shell was oily (both in texture & flavor; the steak was well seasons and cooked though. I also tried the brussel sprouts, they weren't anything to write about really. Overpowered by the chorizo, which was really oily.

So tacos are one of my favorite foods and I have eaten a lot of tacos in my life so I was very pleasantly surprised to taste these delicious tacos! Easily some of the best tacos I've ever had! I had the pork carnitas, the fish and the chicken and avocado and they were all incredible! I read some very mixed reviews so I was not expecting much but I was Definately blown away. My bf is not a taco-lover but agreed that they were exceptional and we are excited to go back here for lunch another day!

Thanks for the shitty taco guys. Appreciate it. You should treat every customer who pays you money for food the same, even if it is delivery. I can say I was very disappointed after not having eaten for hours and it get this load of junk. Again, thanks. Well done.

Love it! I recently moved out of manayunk and am sorely missing this joint. Lots of unique tacos and tortas (sandwiches). I've had a traditional taco and the one with goat cheese - they were great. Also loved the rueben tortas. Chips are thick and clearly fresh. Yum. Atmosphere is "fast food chic"'- order at the counter and find a seat or bring it home. Nice environment for sitting and catching up with someone. BYOB!

Excellent food and definitely the best Mexican food spot on the Main Line. Would recommend anything from their a la carte selection of Tacos to their wide variety of Tortas. Their Chorizo cheese fries were delicious as well. The staff was also very welcoming and helpful. Additionally, the atmosphere was laid back and casual. Can't wait to go back.

Pretty huge let down. I really wanted some tacos, chips and salsa... We decided to try out Union. I won't be returning. The chips were very stale, the tacos were bland to say the least. They were large, so that was good. They only have one type of salsa and Pico. The queso tasted like hot dog cheese... And they didn't even have enough to give us a proper serving... I was told he scraped the bottom of the barrel for it too. Gross.

Ok I will give this place another shot sometime in the future because we did go the second day or was open so many of these issues will (hopefully) get worked out. The service was nice but extremely slow and food items came out one. by. one. Took an hour to get two tacos, guac and queso. The tacos were good but the tortillas looked and tasted store bought but overall good. The guac was very bland- no taste whatsoever. The chips were hot but found a hair. The queso was flavorful but extremely soupy. I was so excited for a Mexican place because who doesn't love cheap and delicious eats, but I was disappointed in this place. Hopefully though, it was opening week issues and the next time I go will be worth it.

Super fast and friendly! Everything made fresh to order. Price can't be beat for the quality and service

A group of us went and it was delicious. They do not have a great mixer selection, so I'd bring your own if you are drinking something other than wine or beer. I got a flank steak and traditional taco. We also got the strawberry guacamole to share. Everything was great. The portions are nice and the flavors are really on point. I can't wait to go back and try more!!

Love this place! I've seen some complaints about the price but these are a little bigger than the average food truck/taco stand size and have a lot more goin on with the ingredients. I recommend cactus, wild mushroom, or oxtail.

My two favorite items on their menu are the fish taco and the portobello torta. The torta is a great serving size. So delicious! The guacamole is also yummy. The service has always been friendly and prompt. Great atmosphere too.

Overpriced for what you get. The deep fried corn was soggy and not worth ordering again. The beef taco was very delicious but it felt like way too small of a portion for the money. The burrito was equally tiny and honestly Chipotle puts out a better product. I wish I had better things to say!

Union Taco is great. Not authentic Mexican at all - but they don't claim to be. Their chicken tacos are amazing and the burrito is the bomb. My girlfriend gets the taco salad and loves it. Usually order online for delivery. Service is usually quick and the food arrives at a good temp.

I had been wanting to try this place for some time. My desire to stay put and not venture into the cold night led to tonight being the night for deliciousness. To begin, I appreciate that this place doesn't jack up their prices for grub hub and they have a cheap delivery fee. My food arrived before the time window and was hot, which is saying quite a bit because it is like Hoth out. I started with chips and queso, chips were fresh and crisp, queso had just a hint of heat, portion size was more than I expected. I decided to try the seared steak and the traditional beef taco. What can I say, I had a craving for red meat. The traditional beef didn't wow me, so I left it in favor of the steak. Steak taco was awesome! Perfectly seasoned and cooked steak with great mix of beans and corn on top. It filled me up too! I would highly recommend if you are in the mood for some taco goodness.

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

(5)J P.
Delicious and quick delivery with great prices. I would recommend them to anyone. Amazing!!!!
(5)Nucky T.
Close to 5 stars- I rock a union burrito most of the time but they have a fantastic selection of tacos too. Clean, quick and Mexican character. Dig it!!
(4)Jared J.
(2)Elizabeth M.
Great tacos I prefer the chicken taco which has amazing shredding chicken and the pork as well!!! Super fresh and great prices.
(5)Justin M.
(3)Kristen G.
(4)Stone Z.
(3)Cesare C.
(2)Jon N.
The best tacos is Manayunk/Roxborough hands downs. The Mexican corn on the cob is a treat you need have to believe. Also, they have Valentino hot sauce...as authentic Mexican as it gets.
(5)Joshua S.
TACOS BE WILIN' YO. I picked up two from the front counter. He said "what chu want" I said "Two tacos, STAT". Cause I was hungry. 5 mins later tacos came out. I ate em. I said YOOOOOO. I paid and left. Overall the experience was good.
(5)PP F.
(3)Adam F.
Fast casual mexican joint in Manayunk. The food is really good - tacos, burritos, tortas, chorizo fries, guacamole and chips. Tacos are really expensive though, they should really do a deal like buy 3 get 1 free. BYO so bring some beer or tequila with you.
(4)Matt G.
(5)Jordan T.
(2)Art B.
I don't usually spend $5 per taco, but these are good tacos. They are double the normal taco size. The meat isn't freshly cook every time someone orders, but the taste was good, the cacti taco was quite flavorful with plenty of smoky taste. It isn't cheap, but it is good
(4)Kaitlin R.
This place is delicious! Creative menu with lots of options. By far the best tacos in manayunk. Byob which is a plus. We were there the first night they opened and the had some issues with timing of the food but I think they'll figure that out as they go. Definitely go and try it out!!
(5)Jon B.
Literally one of the best pork burrito's that I've had in years! I tried the chips and jalapeño cheese dipping sauce as well. The chips are fresh and seemed to be homemade. Cannot wait to go back and try the magi tacos that everyone was ordering.
(5)Brian S.
(5)Jo T.
(2)Jeff J.
My wife and I came to union taco today for the first time. It is amazingly delicious! The mahi-mahi tacos are awesome! We also had the seared flank steak and the cactus tacos. Both were great as well!
(5)Eileen F.
Sorry
(2)Steve C.
(4)Beth D.
(4)Jeff T.
Wow! These freaking tacos were amazing. Was in Manayunk and needed to grab a quick bite to eat and wanted a taco. Couldn't ask for more.
(5)Jeannie C.
Incredible shredded pork tacos...the only complaint is the atmosphere is not the best ...everything I tried was delicious the flavor was on point...the chorizo fries were incredible as well...I want to go back for the oxtail taco...I have been looking for a review on said taco!
(4)Clarissa W.
My boyfriend and I recently ate here and the tacos were really good but the rice and beans side order was the winner for me..... My only complaint is that it is on the pricey side
(4)T A.

I would go back again, but I wouldn't write home about it
(3)Holly R.
(4)Carol C.
(2)Larissa G.
(2)Vanessa T.
(3)Shelly F.
The seared Mahi Taco is everything, one is usually enough but if your really hungry get two. I have also had the poblano chicken taco, which is good too. Priced right! You have to try this place! Many other tacos to choose from.
(5)Michael F.
(4)John D.
(2)Michelle P.
(4)Amanda M.
(4)Laura H.
(2)Zc M.
(5)Jaime ..
(3)Ballerinacake S.
Definitely worth the money! I thought it was pricy for a taco, but they load up on the meat. One taco was enough to get me full. It did take almost 15 minutes for us to get our tacos, but it was worth the wait.
(4)Calley G.
(4)Tal R.
(4)Melissa O.
I've been here a couple of times and everything I've had was great. The flavors are really awesome (anything with chorizo and the Cuban especially) and the price is pretty decent for the amount of food you get. I wouldn't call this 'authentic', its just delicious.
(4)Roberto G.
(4)Kyle C.

Delicious food! I had the mahi mahi salad and got free guac for checking in using Yelp.
