My sister and I ordered delivery from here for the first time. The service was good, but the food was slightly above mediocre. We got a chicken and a vegetarian burrito and the Nopal salad. The burritos were fine, except they were missing the salsa we had asked for. They were big and pan fried on one side to seal the goodies in, which was nice. I asked for guacamole and there was a blob of it in the middle but no more to be seen. The salad tasted very strange and salty. The "balsamic vinaigrette" on the side was cold and solid and still very goopy when heated up. I was surprised due to the great reviews, but maybe the pizza is the way to go if we order from here again.

the la mexicana is amazing! how can you go wrong with a pizza covered in salsa verde, roasted corn, chorizo, cheese and avocado. it is by far the best pizza ever, and that says a lot considering it's philly. cheese fries are awesome and cheesy! it is my pizza go to.

We dined here for the first time on Wednesday. It was shockingly clean for the neighborhood. We ordered a BBQ chicken pizza. The crust was an average thickness, the cheese was good and the chicken flavorful. The pizza could have used more BBQ sauce but it was still a great pizza. I can't wait to try one of their Mexican themed pizzas! The price was great for the quality of food as well!

What a terrific place! A friend who lives a few blocks away and I ordered dinner from here and it was truly wonderful. We ordered guacamole and chips, both homemade and good. Main course: Pizza La Mexicana - salsa verde, mozzarella cheese, chorizo topped with poblano peppers, roasted corn kernels & fresh avocado. Truly great. They clearly have someone making the pizzas there who understands the correct proportions of toppings and makes a great thin crust. I would have preferred a slightly crispier crust, but I'm someone who likes a little char on my pizza. We also split a piece of flan which is, hands down, the best piece of flan I've ever had. The top (you know, the part that is sort of like pudding skin?) was lovely and soft and both the texture and flavor of the flan were terrific. I'm dying to try more things - like the Rosario's Special Pizza red sauce, mozzarella cheese, ham, salami, chorizo, ground beef, mushrooms, green olives, green & red peppers. Pizzas come in 3 sizes - small, medium and large, which is also a plus. Am totally going to get food from here again.

Finally a place that has good Mexican food for me, and good pizza for the hubby. Everything was fresh, fast and delicious. Street food style soft shell tacos that you can add lettuce, tomato and sour cream to (how come more places don't do that??) and are even sent with two little lime wedges. Yum. Plus, $5 for a 10 inch cheese pizza? Yes, please. I also recommend the nachos complete with homemade chips, but only if you are sharing or REALLY hungry. Seriously, it was huge.

Let me start off with something short and sweet. This place not only had great pizza but their burritos are top notch. You wouldn't think that for a small corner shop in pointe breeze but let me give it to you straight. I love burritos. I go all over the place to get a good burrito. But the Pastor Burrito is hands down the best burrito I have had in my life. I had that for dinner last night and haven't been able to stop thinking about it. It was love at first bite. Don't let the location and menu deter you. This place is the bomb diggity.

Pizza was great. Service is excellent. The staff is very frienfriendly. Only downside is there isn't a lot of room to sit. Besides that, the menu is very good. Highly recommended for take-out or delivery.

Everything I have had from them has been good. Open late, delivers and is available via grubhub - that's like the trifecta. I am really particular about wings, theirs are good! My favorite is the chicken burrito, I swear its a hangover deterrent when eaten after a happy hour that went way longer than it should have.

I've ordered from here at least three or four times in the past few months. Everytime has been great. I've only ordered Mexican from there, but these tacos are some of the best delivered in this city. My only complaint is sometimes the chips are too oily. The guacamole is fresh and has tomatillos (I think) in it to give a nice little bite. The chicken burrito is always a hit with the boy, I enjoy the mole burrito on occasion as well. Delivery is quick as lightning, never waited longer than thirty minutes. Just tried the roasted wind and they have just the right amount of spice. Meaty and not greasy. Get the campechanos tacos. Definitely a winner. Edit-- recently tried the pizza (great) and taco salad (awesome). Burger and fries are not amazing though. Stay away. Definitely stick with traditional Mexican or pizza and you'll be a happy camper.

What a find, finally something different in the local delivery department! I get a new menu every other day left on my doorstep but this place made it past the trashcan based on the uniqueness and early positive reviews on Yelp (thanks Yelpees!). Can't say I've ever had Mexican pizza before besides at the peace of pizza chain. I feel bad writing about the 2 in the same sentence as Rosario's is on another level. The chicken mole pizza was an instant hit with me, just so many bold flavors. It is definitely a thicker crust which helps hold up the thick mole sauce. Also their guacamole and chips is a mountain of both. This was on par with the best delivery guac as I've had in Philly. Delivery was quick so all around great first impression with this place. It is an extensive menu so I will be back at it exploring soon!

Delicious neighborhood Mexican. Great quesadillas and burritos. No five stars because the shrimp quesadilla coulda had a better quality of shrimp

  • Melissa W.

Pizzas here are pretty good. A bit expensive for the Mexican pizzas, but they are tasty. They're not very generous in terms of amount of toppings, but overall the pizza tastes like it's a little higher-quality than San Lucas (the only other Mexican pizza place I've found), and the interior is much snazzier. This place is kind of like the gourmet version of San Lucas for about the same price. Both have their merits; sometimes you want hearty and satisfying, and sometimes you want a little more class. Keep Rosario's in mind for the latter. Alas locas (crazy wings) were pretty tasty too. We noticed a few unsavory characters hanging around the neighborhood at night, so don't go alone and stay alert.

Love this place! The tacos are not as good as say, Veracruzana, but definitely decent and the variety on the menu is outstanding. Totally obsessed with their fried oysters - light and crispy and flavorful - I could eat them day and night.

My roommates and I love this place and order from them quite frequently. They're menu is amazing - you can't go wrong with whatever you choose to order. The burgers, pizza, salads, sandwiches- all have been ordered by people in my apartment and have been talked highly about. They're delivery is so quick, reasonable prices, nice staff.

Pizza and Mexican in the same joint? Heck yeah! My husband and I opted for tacos and a burrito. My carnitas tacos came as a set of 3 and were filling enough for lunch. I would've liked a bit more flavor though. For my husband, the steak burrito was authentic in that he had never tasted anything like it. I took a bite and agreed - 5 stars for the burrito! Pico de gallo is tasty and I recommend, especially if it's a warm day, because nothing says "summer" like some pico. We can't wait to go back and try the pizza - the menu boasts some mouth-watering concoctions.

I order delivery from here way more than I probably should. Once you try the shrimp burrito you'll be hooked. The nachos are also a good option, as is the pizza. Solid joint and friendly delivery drivers. Can't go wrong.

Obviously mixing mexican food and pizza is a great idea, so let it be known that their food is delicious! The guacamole is one of the best I've had too. More seating would be better, but in the city everything is smaller so that's nothing to hold against them. Burritos are consistently great, if you're looking for a plain pie go somewhere else though, just pay the few dollars extra and get the Mexican pizza here - it's worth it.

Love love love rosarios pizza. Pico de galo pizza, i order it every time. Never wait too long. Food is always hot. Cheesesteak is good. Sandwiches are good. I love it. Only thing that is annoying is the delivery fee.

  • Kathleen L.

For a corner pizza place it is so amazing. I can only attest to a few things, specifically the pico de gallo pizza. It is a must. I can honestly say there was only once that it was not crispy, which is difficult because of all the juices from the pico de gallo.

So happy to have found this place! The Mexican pizza is amazing and the delivery is very quick. I've ordered in from them about 5 times in the past two weeks, I can't get enough of it! La mexicana, La Chicana, Poblana pizzas and the pastor burrito were are all superb. I can't wait to try more!

I get delivery from Rosario's frequently and it's always been pretty good. They've always been on time or early. They have some good pizzas with interesting flavor combinations. I recommend trying their Mexican-style pizzas which are a pretty good alternative to the pizzas you normally get at a pizza shop. I'd say stick with the pizzas and Mexican options, as their fried side items seem to be generally of frozen lower quality.

Do not eat here if you're on a diet. I have a few late night shame-eating guilty pleasures. This place is one of them, if not the best of them! This was my first Mexican Pizza experience. Rosario's is truly unique; I don't think you can get the flavors on these pizzas from anywhere else in Philly. There are three pizza I rotate: Hawaiian, Chicken Mole, and my favorite, Pizza al Pastor. The menu is so big, however, I feel I need to branch out more. Do yourself a favor and go for a nice run the day after you eat this pizza. You will lose enough calories and be able to enjoy the deliciousness all over again...

  • Jonah W.

Overall, this place is great. It's neither the best pizza nor the best Mexican, but it's close. However, don't be fooled when they say 20 minutes. It means at least 45 minutes.

  • Jim R.

Can't believe this place has such a high rating. Nasty steaks-had to throw them out. Tasted like the grill was never cleaned. complete fail. Tacos were ok. Onion rings are good. Nachos were tossed too. First & last time.

    (2)
  • Mark L.

The service was excellent. The whole experience was easy. But the quality is below average. Everything tasted canned or frozen on the pizza. The mushrooms were canned, the Italian sausage seemed frozen, and the dough so plain. As the top rated pizza w 4.5 stars I was expecting higher quality, and today being 2013 and in big old city like Philly how tough can fresher ingredients be?

Rosario's. From Ames, Iowa to you. 1) We don't know how doorbells work. 2) We don't understand the concept of knocking at a door. 3) When you order from us be sure to walk around for an hour with your phone in your hand and your ringer on, and wait for a call from AMES, IOWA (515-70-0717). If you don't answer, we we won't leave a message because- 4) We don't know how voicemail works. 5) We're not too bright and we're really lazy. Instead we'll call you a couple of times, leave, come back 20 minutes later and call a couple more times, then drive away again. We could do something intelligent like take 10 seconds to get out of our car and knock or ring your doorbell, but we're remarkably stupid and remarkably lazy so we'd rather let your food get ice cold, refuse to offer a discount or apologize for our laughable customer service, then drive around in circles some more because it beats actually working. Bizarre experience with this place. After not receiving the order after nearly 90 minutes we called Grubhub and canceled the order. After we placed an order with Isabella's instead, the Rosario's driver showed up angry and huffy and sarcastic, saying "I called you! I called you!" I said yes, from AMES, IOWA. We realized only after checking our phone which was set to silent because we are entertaining; hence our order for 2 extra large pizzas. Very bizarre to us that apparently he waited outside of our house refusing to get out and simply ring the doorbell or knock. I pointed this out to the driver--rather than calling us over and over from IOWA like a telemarketer why not take 10 seconds to get off your butt and ring our doorbell, especially when it was clear after multiple calls that we were nowhere near our phone. He then laughed like a psychotic mental patient and said, "OH, so we have to call from Philadelphia." "Um, yes, moron, you're Rosario's Pizza in Philadelphia. Or leave a voicemail telling someone who you are. Do YOU answer calls from unknown numbers?" He just kept saying over and over, "Oh, so we can only call you from Philadelphia." and laughing maniacally. Yep, Rosario's hires only the best. Suffice it to say, I told him explicitly what he could do with his ice cold pizzas. It's unfortunate as we have ordered from them 4 or 5 times before tonight's 90-minute cartoon, loved them and loved their friendly service. We've never had this particular wack job before. His parents must be proud: "My son,the lazy moron." Enjoy him, Rosario's. You've sent us running screaming back to Isabella's.

I wish there was a 3 and a half. Awesome food when it's right. Inconsistent food quality and service. Easily accessible. They are popular and chaotic. But I will be going back. Recommend some of their Mexican pizzas or the taco salad!

This place is easily my new favorite for Mexican. We ordered the pastor tacos, campchanos tacos and pastor nachos, and we were incredibly (pleasantly) surprised. The delivery was quick, the food was still warm, and it was absolutely delicious. Very authentic and fresh- can't wait to order from here again!

I discovered Rosario's because of a menu left in my door. Mexican...Pizza? I was skeptical. But Yelp convinced me to try it. I like al pastor pork, and I like pizza, so I decided to see for myself what an al pastor pizza would taste like. While it didn't change my life forever, it was definitely a delicious treat I would have again. Not much later, I was planning to go to PEP Bowl with a group of people and suggested we order our pizza from Rosario's, since they're so close to each other. Boyfriend and I shared a Hawaiian pizza, while our friends split other types of the non-Mexican pizzas. No one complained, and few left with leftovers, so I'm guessing everyone thought it was at least passable. Me, I thought it was by far one of the best pizzas I've had in Philly. I have not tried any of the Mexican food offerings, but someday I will.

Our friends moved into an apt. on 16th and Wharton over the summer and Rosario's has become a staple for take out in our group. Rosario's will even deliver to our place in Passyunk Square East! All their food is amazing - I personally love the taco pizza (the best of BOTH worlds if you ask me) and their wings are solid too. Delivery times have always been quick for us and the food is dropped off piping hot. One of our best experiences was on a football sunday and we ordered $50 worth of wings and pizza. It was enough to satisfy 8 of us!

the BEST burrito available on grubhub. They are always fast for delivery and the ingredients are always fresh. I've never had a bad experience and have been ordering from them for almost a year. Their chicken burritos might be the only reason my roommates and I are still alive and not starving.

I really really want to give this place more than 3 stars but I don't think I can. I ordered delivery tonight and while it took a bit longer than quoted, that wasn't the issue. First off, the Rosario's wings were great. Marinated with spices served with a spicy sauce on the side...so so good. The pizza on the other hand...was just okay. I ordered the Tinga Pollo which has a tomato chipotle sauce, mozzerella, shredded chicken breast, topped with roasted poblano peppers. I also added roasted corn kernals to the pizza as well. Sounds incredible right?! Unfortunately the pizza didn't have any roasted poblanos and the shredded chicken breast was actually thinly sliced breaded chicken. Maybe the latter was as it's supposed to be, just not what I was expecting when reading shredded chicken. I'll give them another try as it was fairly tasty but am pretty disappointed I didn't get what I expected to.

Although I've had plenty of reasons to write reviews in the past, both good and bad. This is my first review ever. I was sooo satisfied with Roario's service that I feel I owe it to them to spread the word. They have the best fried oysters in Philly. I absolutely love fried oysters and have tried several places and Rosario's is the best hands down. Fresh and delicious! 5 Star cuisine meets take out. Rosario's authentic Mexican food is delicious but don't sleep on their seafood. The calamari is prepared in a special way and I'm pretty sure I know their secret. I ordered from this restaurant via GrubHub and I am unable to give a review via the GrubHub app...A shame because everyone should know that this place has the best fried oysters in Philly! I feel like I found a hidden gem and my nachos were good as well.

I flip-flop between loving and hating the friend that pointed me in the direction of Rosario's on a day that I couldn't decide if I wanted al pastor tacos or a pizza. "Why not have both?" she said and I told her that would make me a pig.....and then she told me to go to Rosario's on GrubHub. I am forever changed. It is a constant battle within myself not to spend $10 and get a small Mexican pizza that has turned ANY horrible day into the best day ever. Guajillo Pepper Sauce, Mozzarella Topped with Marinated Pork in a Mild Chili Sauce With Chunks of Pineapple, Chopped Fresh Onions and Cilantro. It's perfectly-sized for one person and is bursting with so much flavor that I always take my time on each slice, savoring every bit. It's that good. I will say that I'm not really a fan of the green or orange sauces that come with it -- they're too spicy for me, but are probably the cat's meow for anyone that doesn't have a wussy mouth. As if the pizza itself isn't enough to make it worth it -- the delivery is always fast and friendly! Unlike many other delivery places, the driver actually reads the notes of where you are on GrubHub and doesn't just call and grunt in the phone that he's there. This is consistent both at my home (in Bella Vista) and my job (on Rittenhouse Square) and at all times of day. I've only had the al pastor pizza and the mozzarella sticks (which were also perfect) and now that I live close enough to have this delivered, I will never have to think of where to order when I have company. PROTIPS: There's a $15.00 minimum if you order through GrubHub but only a $10.00 minimum if you call them directly. Delivery fees are the same.

this place shines in the 'hood. have been there twice already (travelling from new york) and the tacos and pizza were great. the order of three beef tacos came garnished with a grilled pepper and onion and the veggie slice at 3 bucks was quite large and filling.

I'm not a Mexican food kind of girl but I saw Rosario's Pizzeria on Grub Hub listed under "the best" and they were right! The Steak Quesadillas were so flavorful and so were the Chicken Flautas! I definitely recommend!

  • Colin W.

Took a chance on this place after it came up on GrubHub. My girlfriend enjoyed her steak burrito, but needed to add some salt to it. I thought my pastor burrito was a bit bland, but it was still a decent burrito. Both of them were definitely large and filling, and the Chihuahua cheese was a tasty addition. The chicken mole pizza with red onions was excellent. The jalapeño poppers were basic - cream cheese inside a jalapeño, breaded, and deep fried - but tasty. The marinara sauce to dunk them in was average. The prices were good, and the delivery was quick. GrubHub told us an hour, and the delivery guy rang the bell in under 30 minutes. The menu is definitely wide and varied, so we'll be back, and maybe I'll even update this review as I try other things.

I've basically become a fan of Rosario's after two very good delivery experiences just recently. By recently I mean that we ordered from this place last week, two days in a row. Turned out the chance that we took on Rosario's was an excellent choice for getting some gluttony outta the way, before New Years, when we embark on yet another predictable cliched "we're trying to be healthy," farce that will inevitab...well anyway... Rosario's provided some good eatin. And they're open pretty late: Midnight most days, 1 AM Friday and Saturday. I knew that pizza was gonna be pretty tasty as soon as the box entered the room, I could tell by the smell, ya hear? La Mexicana is as good as everybody has been saying. Of course mine is a voice that continually (and most likely irritatingly) cries out for a crispier crusts in our world, and so I'd love a much crispier crust here, but it didn't stop me from utterly enjoying this Mexican style pizza. Full of flavor, this pie: salsa verde, mozzarella, quality chorizo, roasted corn, poblanos, and avocado... We also sampled some tinga pizza, which was good too. A word about the tinga. It's different than other tingas in my life...the chicken is more diced than shreddy, and the chipotle-tomato sauce, to me, has something goin on there that tastes like a whisper of a hint of curry, maybe...and I like it. So, it was different in a good way. I liked it so much asked for it in my burrito the next day. Good burritos. Nachos too, I can tell you, I approve. Home made chips, topped with lots of grilled chicken, cheese, black beans, jalapenos, pico de gallo, a drizzle of crema. Nacho feast. Based on the foods that I just rambled about here, Rosario's has been immediately inducted into our take out menu folder of fame.

Rosario's is my favorite place for take out in Newbold! The pizza is great, but the tacos are authentic and delicious! Highly recommend the pastor pork, although the carnitas pork tacos are excellent as well. The pizza is good, the chicken molé is probably my favorite. The last time I was there I got the speedy gonzalez burger: Beef patty, bacon, chihuahua cheese, jalapenos, caramelized onions, and chipotle ketchup. Amazeballs! They also have Mexican coke! The one thing I will say to avoid are the french fries. They taste like the standard Sysco brand frozen fries and while they aren't bad, there's nothing really good about them either. While it isn't enough to knock off a star (it's a mexican pizzeria, not a burger and fries place), it still could be better.

  • Eileen T.

I was introduced to Rosario's by my oldest son over a year ago when the two of us were painting the new house he bought in Newbold. He picked up some Tacos for us, and they were great - flavorful, generously filled, and wrapped with light and flavorful soft corn tortillas. We ate there many times, enjoying pizza (yes, great pizza from a Mexican restaurant!), quesadillas, chicken mole burritos (outstanding), pastor burritos, and many other items. The carnitas they use to fill tacos, burritos, etc., is very delicious. Everything is fresh and flavorful, and they deliver locally. You can also order ahead online and just stop in to pick it up without waiting. Highly recommended.

This is a very cool pizza joint. My wife and I just moved into a new neighborhood, and Rosario's came up as a place that did well on Yelp, so we decided to check it out. We tried Alex's Special with mozzarella fries, both of which were very good. The seating situation is a bit minimal, so I would place a pickup order if you are in the area. I don't know if it is the creme de la creme for the area, but it certainly is a good place to start investigating the South Philly pizza scene.

  • Elizabeth M.

Ordered a large with onion and tomato. The pizza was alright. Not bad, but the sauce needed some help- tasted paste-y and there wasn't much of it. The crust maybe needed to be cooked longer? I didn't want to eat it and I usually do. Delivery didn't get my address correct and I saw 9 missed calls and a text saying " delivery delivery answer you phone" as well as a voicemail- I was washing dishes and missed the phone ringing. Whoa. Maybe pizza isn't the way to go there.

    (3)
  • Vitruvian S.

They have the best mozzarella sticks around. For "junk food" this place is kind of tops. They get it; there tag line should read "are you lonely looking for a job and like being in your underwear all day, then Rosario's is for you" It's perfect.

    (5)
  • M M.

So, I was really looking forward to trying this pizza after reading these reviews. People also talked about how great the mozzarella sticks were, so I decided pizza and mozz sticks. The mozz sticks were actually a little weird tasting. I couldn't put my finger on it, but they almost tasted like they had Mexican flavoring? Or something was fried beforehand that got into the oil. I don't know, but it wasn't good. The cheese was nice and soft, but the outside breading left a lot to be desired. Now, the pizza was really good (I ordered the Hawaiian). However, I can't say I would order from here again knowing what other options are out there.

Pizza and Mexican...why not? When I got home yesterday from running a few errands, I saw another "pizza menu" wedged in my railing. Great, more paper wasted...so I thought. To my surprise, it was Rosario's (like you didn't know where this was going). I am always settling for pizza because my wife is the pickiest eater EVER. Now we have the perfect compromise since I am a Mexican food junkie. Last night I tried their Chicken Nachos, Pastor Tacos, and pizza (for the wifey) and all three were great. The pizza sauce reminded me of Lorenzo's on South St, which is a good thing. The Mexican food was out of this world and my order I structuring were followed to a "T." Well, the tree was not really wasted, my wife and I now have a great "compromised" delivery spot, and Rosario's has a new customer. It is a win-win-win. The only negative is why didn't I get this menu sooner?!?!?!

Fantastic Pizza. A healthier style then most other pizza joints(hence the 4stars. I want pizza nice and greasy) The veggie pizza is awesome. Tacos are great. Onion rings were slightly over-cooked once but maybe it was an off day. The staff is super friendly and they are always happy to make alterations to some of the pies(at least they are for me) They are my second favorite pizza place in south philly.

Quick delivery and quality ingredients. Have yet to have a bad experience . They once forgot an ingredient on my pie is reason for 3 not 4 stars

Philadelphia seems to have a dearth of places that are open late . . . which can present a problem when its 10:30 pm on a Sunday night and you're starving. I used my yelp app in a frantic search to find any pizza place still open, all my go-tos closed at 10. Rosario's was open-hurrah!!!! It was not the best pizza I've ever had, but definitely good enough to fill my Sunday night hunger void. We got the meat lovers and the queso fresco pizza - I loved the concept of the queso fresco, but you should know the ingredients are all cold, and placed on the dough after cooking. Will definitely order from Rosario's again.

I had never heard of Mexican Pizza but trying it for the first time, I'm impressed. We ordered for delivery La Mexicana Pizza with salsa verde, mozzarella cheese, chorizo topped with poblano peppers, roasted corn kernels & fresh avocado. The sauce had a slight kick. The little kernels of corn throughout the pizza was a little burst of sweetness. Can't wait to try this again.

Rosario's seems to be something of an acquired taste. Those who prefer a bit of pizza with their grease would do well to look elsewhere - upon biting into my first slice, I was rather surprised to find myself (along with a significant portion of the surface area of my kitchen) covered in what appeared to be most of the contents of a deep-fat fryer. Rather a shame, as the pizza itself didn't look like it would have been so bad, had they decided *not* to upend several gallons of arterial lubricant over it.

Rosario's is our corner pizza place and we're really lucky. The Mexican style pizzas are unique and delicious and the tacos are authentic and generous.

After checking Yelp for local pizza places in my area, I settled on Rosario's because of the great reviews and the fact that they accept credit cards. I went with the La Mexicana pizza per the reviews, even though almost all their speciality pizzas sounded great. I would definitely agree that it is a great choice. It was just spicy enough, looked really nice and the avocado (which I'm normally not a fan of) was a great addition. My one problem is that both Yelp and their business website claim to accept credit cards but when I showed up to pick-up the pizza, a big sign on the register says "CASH ONLY". Be warned! I only had a $5 in my pocket. They do have an ATM in their establishment but it is one of those third party ATMs that is notorious for high surcharges and having scammers attach card skimmers to. I chose to drive to the a 7-Eleven up the road to get cash instead. I didn't want to risk having my debit card compromised.

So I'm not sure if they switched owners or if it's become one of those places that's only good if you eat there. We found Rosario's maybe two years ago. And we loved them. Great pizza, great tacos, amazing nachos, and my personal favorite their shrimp burrito. A few months ago we decided to try their cheesesteaks, tiny amounts of meat, the rolls were soggy and just generally not good, we wound up throwing it away. But hey you can't be great at everything right? Flash forward a month later we ordered their mexican pizza with sliced avacado (something we had before) and once again not as good as we remembered.....maybe they were having a bad night. Tonight we ordered burgers. The description sounded delicious. They weren't terrible. But they weren't good. The ingredients were not fresh you could tell and it was mushy. And unfortunately after eating it caused us to have very upset stomachs. Maybe all three times we hit them on bad nights, two years ago they would have gotten five stars, but now I don't know if we'll try them again, which is sad because we really liked their food at some point.

Most likely if you are reading this, Rosario's is down the street from you. Go get food from here. They are a real life "pizza hut/taco bell" with significantly better food. We ordered a small cheese pizza, some french fries, and chicken tacos. Simple stuff the first time around, and everything was better than other places within six blocks from us. They're open until midnight on weekdays and past on weekends. Added kudos on the free salsa and chips when you dine-in. Now second only to Circle's cheese steak spring rolls, Rosario's is what I want to munch on in our neighborhood.

Wow. The La Mexicana pizza was the best Mexican-themed pizza I've had short of my own creations. :) Poblano chili peppers, chorizo, roasted corn, avocado and cheese made this spicy and flavorful. Crust was medium-thin, though could have been a bit crisper... The regular cheese pizza we had was also good but I have a feeling the specialty lies in the Mexican variations they offer. I would love to try the Chicken Mole one next, and some of their tacos/burritos.

  • Marli A.

I ordered a chicken burrito. I got a steak burrito. I ate the steak burrito thinking "really, what's the difference it's not that bad." I literally COULD NOT CHEW through ANY of the pieces of meat they put in that burrito. How does that even happen??

  • Vitruvian S.

They have the best mozzarella sticks around. For "junk food" this place is kind of tops. They get it; there tag line should read "are you lonely looking for a job and like being in your underwear all day, then Rosario's is for you" It's perfect.

  • Jamie D.

  • Fallon D.

Pizza and Mexican...why not? When I got home yesterday from running a few errands, I saw another "pizza menu" wedged in my railing. Great, more paper wasted...so I thought.

I ordered a chicken burrito. I got a steak burrito. I ate the steak burrito thinking "really, what's the difference it's not that bad." I literally COULD NOT CHEW through ANY of the pieces of meat they put in that burrito. How does that even happen??

Can't believe this place has such a high rating. Nasty steaks-had to throw them out. Tasted like the grill was never cleaned. complete fail. Tacos were ok. Onion rings are good. Nachos were tossed too. First & last time.

  • Deann M.

Everything I have had from them has been good. Open late, delivers and is available via grubhub - that's like the trifecta. I am really particular about wings, theirs are good! My favorite is the chicken burrito, I swear its a hangover deterrent when eaten after a happy hour that went way longer than it should have.

My roommates and I love this place and order from them quite frequently. They're menu is amazing - you can't go wrong with whatever you choose to order.

For a corner pizza place it is so amazing. I can only attest to a few things, specifically the pico de gallo pizza. It is a must. I can honestly say there was only once that it was not crispy, which is difficult because of all the juices from the pico de gallo.

I have not tried any of the Mexican food offerings, but someday I will.

this place shines in the 'hood. have been there twice already (travelling from new york) and the tacos and pizza were great. the order of three beef tacos came garnished with a grilled pepper and onion and the veggie slice at 3 bucks was quite large and filling.

  • Perry H.

  • Jamie D.

Overall, this place is great. It's neither the best pizza nor the best Mexican, but it's close. However, don't be fooled when they say 20 minutes. It means at least 45 minutes.

Great food no matter if you go the pizza route or the mexican route. Or do both and get a mexican style pizza. Fast service, great food, keep coming back for more

the BEST burrito available on grubhub. They are always fast for delivery and the ingredients are always fresh. I've never had a bad experience and have been ordering from them for almost a year. Their chicken burritos might be the only reason my roommates and I are still alive and not starving.

I order wings and they were COVERED in red pepper flakes...covered. it was disgusting. Waited 45 minutes for them to deliver food that I had to just throw away.

Can't believe this place has such a high rating. Nasty steaks-had to throw them out. Tasted like the grill was never cleaned. complete fail. Tacos were ok. Onion rings are good. Nachos were tossed too. First & last time.

I ordered a chicken burrito. I got a steak burrito. I ate the steak burrito thinking "really, what's the difference it's not that bad." I literally COULD NOT CHEW through ANY of the pieces of meat they put in that burrito. How does that even happen??

They have the best mozzarella sticks around. For "junk food" this place is kind of tops. They get it; there tag line should read "are you lonely looking for a job and like being in your underwear all day, then Rosario's is for you" It's perfect.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
