Point of Destination is not only re-opened for business, but the owners came back doing it big! If you're familiar with them, come on back. They have a lot of new menu items that are sure to please. If you're a new kid on the block, stop in and give them a try. My husband and I have been here for various events in the past, but this was our first visit here for brunch. I had the chicken and waffles; hubby had the sausage and cheese omelette with red and green pepper hash browns. The coffee is good and strong; and the orange juice tasted fresh squeezed. Everything was superb! We were stuffed to the gills as we waddled back to the car. Point of Destination will be our go to spot when we're in the neighborhood.

Today I stopped in on my way to a doctor appointment at 9:30 am to grab a breakfast sandwich and medium ice tea. It was $5.50 for runny egg whites with cheese that made me vomit in my mouth. I couldn't stomach it! I think the eggs had gone bad. They charged me for an iced coffee. When I ordered a medium iced tea $3.50 for 10oz of unsweetened ice tea. That's a lot of some flavored water!! All in it was over $10 for food I couldn't eat. Next time I'll just wait for WaWa and save $7. The owner and her daughter were very pleasant but I don't feel that my stomach can take this!

Great coffee and always good vegan treats. I just wish I knew their hours! I feel like there's not a consistent schedule. :( For folks taking the train into center city, it would be amazing if the place could open by 7:30a.

All I can say is I am soooooo glad Carroll is back!!!!!! I love POD! The food is consistant and the counseling is free! Carroll is a great hostess and proprietor and you can feel the love in the place. I love getting up on a nice crisp morning and heading over to the POD for coffee and a treat or breakfast. I have hosted many events at Point of Destination and they have all went on without a hitch. Only drawback, they don't do dinner......yet.

This restaurant/cafe is an incredible secret little gem nestled next to the Upsal train station in Mount Airy. It's really easy to miss, but try really hard not to. For vegan dining, pastries and beverages, it is truly top notch. One may think they stumbled into a little neighborhood coffee shop, which it is, but it is much more than that. All of their offerings are of the quality you'd find in a super-chic, hipster eatery. The staff is very friendly, courteous, helpful; all of the things they are supposed to be - but at a level that stands out because it doesn't happen often enough. Each time I've come here, (which is three times) I've been treated very well. Not a thing to complain about in my experiences. Not a thing. I could write a fuller review if I had tried more of their menu, but their attention to detail, and level of quality assures me that everything will be just as good. Highly recommended.
