If you're looking for a place to get a great diversity of pizza slices on the cheap, Pagano's is where it's at! If you come at lunch, you'll have to wait in line, 'cause this place is always busy (which is a good sign, in my opinion!). I like to get a slice of Sicilian if it's available, and my favorite is bacon and tomato...drool! The guys behind the counter are quick but polite and they take debit no matter what the cost, which I love. Not in the mood for pizza and soda? Go around the corner and try Pagano's Market, which has a great salad bar/hot bar and sandwiches made-to-order. The service on this side can be a little hit and miss, but you'll still get great food! They also have a great beverage selection and homemade desserts a plenty! This side is not as cheap, as you pay what it weighs, but that might be because I have a hard time picking only a few items to try!

Not vegetarian friendly- Except for a "make your own salad".Great for meaty custom sandwiches and service is quick and friendly but it's nothing special.

Very good pizza. I'm very high on their bacon and tomato, white pizza and Hawaiian pizza. Pagano's usually has a very good variety of different specialty pies on display on their counter and they warm them right up in the oven. Try not to get their too late .. past 2 pm, because some of the pizzas have been sitting out too long and aren't as fresh as you would probably like them. Obviously getting their at the right time and getting a slice or fresh out of the oven is ideal.

Very good pizza. I got the BBQ and buffalo. Not very expensive pizza either for being a gourmet pizza place

Roast pork here is excellent, stuffed with meat, razor sharp provolone and roasted red peppers on a large sesame seed roll. Big enough to share or fuel a big appetite. Large selection of pizza next door looks very tasty, but after this sandwich will have to wait until next time.

Good pizza, but the sandwiches are mediocre.

This place has some of the best gourmet pizza in the city. And it's cheap! $6.42 (that includes the tax) for 2 slices with toppings and all-you-can-drink fountain soda.I usually go for a slice of bacon & tomato and a slice of peppers & onions, but they have about 20 varieties that include phlly cheesesteak, bbq chicken, tomato pie, and even just plain cheese for you to choose from. The service is friendly and professional. The shop is actually located in the basement area of the Lit Brothers building. So you can take your lunch to submerged lobby where you can enjoy your food while watching the clouds drift by through the massive skylight. Oh yeah, and at 12pm a musician comes out and plays the piano.

The pizza at Pagano's is just plain good. Favorites include the bbq chicken, the hawaiian, and the tomato pie. But if you want the tomato pie, you'd better get there early because it's usually gone soon after noon. Another tip -- the cashier gets really thrown off if you get one slice and not two. So if you don't want someone looking at you, confused, like you're crazy, just get 2 slices. The pizza is so good, and the selection so varied, that you won't be sorry.

I can't believe no one has written in about Pagano's pizza - it's the best pizza in Philadelphia, in my opinion. It's in the concourse underneath the Litt Building at 7th and Market, right next to Pagano's Cafe. Pagano's pizza sells whole pies and slices, and the variety of slices available is wide and varied - everything from from sausage and pepperoni and cheese to barbecued chicken and pineapple-ham to fresh tomato-artichoke-spinach and fresh tomato- bacon (my personal favorite). The dough is crisp, chewy, ever-so-slightly sweet, salty, and blistered., and the cheeses and sauces and other ingredients are fresh and flavorful. They have some enormous oven behind the counter where they bake the whole pies and warm your slices, to eat in or to go. There is always a long line at lunchtime but the loud, friendly and efficient guys behind the counter move you right along. Oh, and the prices are great for this quality pizza - you can walk away with two enormous top-of-the-line slices for $6.
