An ok takeout Chinese place. Ordered General Tso's chicken lunch special (the special part is just that you get fried rice instead of white--no soup or egg roll included like most places) and fried chicken wing platter with fried rice. The General Tso was good, and the chicken was fresh, but the fried chicken and rice were both missing salt or seasoning. Everything was ready quickly.

I used to love this place so much! I would drive twenty minutes just to get food there, but a couple weeks ago I picked up my order and saw them preparing and placing the food in the containers with their BARE HANDS! I was disgusted!!! I will never good there again, and you shouldn't either!

This has been our go to Chinese for many years so it's time for a review. While I've stayed away lately over for Panda down the street I went here the other day. Pepper steak was good as was the pizza roll. Rice always great there. If anything I'd prefer the Tso's chicken here over Pandas.

I love this place! The food is perfect, everything tastes like it should and it is always consistent. The fried rice is so flavorful unlike any other place I have ever tried, and that's a LOT. My favorite dishes to get here though are the eggplant and shrimp in garlic sauce with brown rice. OMG! It hits the spot. You really can't go wrong choosing anything from this place. This is my go-to chinese takeout not only in the NE, but all of Philadelphia! Really though, I just like to call so I can hear the lady say in her cute chinese accent "hello kin wha how may help youuuuuuuuu?". Creepy? Yes, I am.

Well, apparently you have to specify the house mustard and they do have it, so another plus.

This place is surprisingly good. The chicken on a stick alone is reason to try it out. (the sell in individuals 1.25 per stick) so far we've tried some quick small things like the lo-mien, fried rice, egg roll. for me the caliber of a Chinese restaurant is directly related to their crispy noodles. Do they open a box of those terrible excuses for crispy noodles or do their make them themselves. This place not only makes them, but they're usually warm still. I understand it's only a fried noodle, but it's the little things that are important. Also important is when asking for hot mustard, if you want the homemade stuff be sure to ask for house mustard or dry mustard, otherwise you get the packets which only resemble hot mustard in color. and beware their house mustard is really really hot, proceed with caution.

Kin Wah is an exceptional takeout restaurant! The customer service on the phone was very professional. The prices are average and the food is fantastic!! I haven't had chinese food this good in a long time. I will definitely order from here again.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
