I have been going here for years. The food is awesome! The service however over the last few years has dwindled. It looks like they are cutting back and it's killing the atmosphere. This place used to be packed on a Friday night and now the dining room is closed by 9. I took my Mom here last week and the service was painfully slow. Our table was left dirty and we were given no silverware. There were two servers, one being the owner and about 5 tables. It took forever to get our check. I hope the owner reconsiders all the staff cut backs and that business gets better. Other than the bad service, the food is amazing!

Went here last night with my wife, we've gone here off and on for 8 years. The food has been consistently on the higher end and very good. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area. Try a dessert, home made and damn good!

My boyfriend and I recently ate at Northside on a Tuesday evening. We sat at a small round table. The restaurant was nearly empty except for a handful of people at the bar. We ordered appetizers and a meal. I had only eaten one of my wings and my boyfriend had taken only one spoon of his soup when the rest of the food came. There was barely enough room for all the food on the table. I continued to eat all my wings until they were gone then went into the ladie's room to wash my hands. The first soap dispenser had no soap and both towel dispensers were empty. I had to dry my hands on toilet paper. When I returned to the table I found that the waitress had not removed the empty wing platter from the table because she was joking with the bartender. My main dish was cold when I ate it. I returned to use the ladie's room before I left and the toilet of the first stall I tried had diarrhea sprayed up the sides of the toilet. One dispenser had paper towels now as I had complained to the waitress. I previously had enjoyed Northside but will reconsider after this visit.

Thou shalt drink here, and leave it at that. The food is bland, and therefore overpriced for what you are getting, the service has been slow/poor the few times I came here. We ordered calamari and had to send it back because it was like eating thick rubber bands with a slightly crisp coating. The fries are meh, which is a no-no at a bar! HOWEVER, the beer selection rocks!! Just rocks. I couldn't even count how many micro bottles were on display, and plenty on tap as well. So, drink up and have a snack when you get home :)

Oh, Ortinos. I had high hopes for you being only a stone's throw from my new residence. If I was only coming for a great beer selection at decent prices I would give this place a 4.5 or 5 star review. But I wanted some good food too... and I was a bit let down. Our waitress was great - very nice and accommodating. No complaints here. The night my wife, best friend and I went there was a live band who played some great covers. Inside seemed cozy and the bars looked pretty decent. We sat on the patio, where the band was, which was quaint and real nice on a summer night with a good beer. Speaking of the good beer - Ortinos didn't disappoint in the drinks area. My wife got a good carmel apple cocktail and my friend and I got a few beers which were price pretty competitively for craft beers - always a plus. Ortinos had an extensive draft, small bottle, and large bottle list. A few of the bottles we tried to order were not available - perhaps they should update their lists. All the beers we got were delicious. As for the food... meh. We got an order of nachos to start which were very bland - tasteless tomatoes, some sour cream, and mild cheese. Nothing too exciting. The beer chili my wife got as an appetizer was pretty tasty - she claims that it rivals my own, but I would beg to differ. All three of us got burgers (we all love a good burger) - and only 1 of them came out even CLOSE to correct. I do not believe that this was our servers fault - I would blame the actual cooks. I'll be back, but probably only for drinks - as for the "chefs" - they should be replaced if this place wants to retain customers. Quote him. Food - C- Value (worth the money) - B Service - B+ Atmosphere (Decor and Ambiance) - B+ Overall - C+ -xdeliriumx

It's local, it's friendly, and the beer selection is the best in the area. You get the hang of what to, or not to, order off the pretty versatile menu. Always safe with the cheesy pasta dishes, nightly specials or asking your server what the big crowd pleasers are. I'm a fan!
