How this place doesn't have 5 stars is so far beyond me that I'm lost. This place is the best of the best. The food, the staff, the owners everything is absolutely fantastic. If you want a successful restaurant go there on a Friday night and take notes. My family had been a regular weekly customer of theirs for nearly 8 years and we've never once had a bad meal, experience or wait time. We absolutely love it here!

Excellent food and great prices. Enjoyed the Chicken Parm sandwich and pizza.

Best pizza in 15 mile radius. Awesome service and food regarding catering. They forgot to include rolls in order so immediately drove out to deliver.

We have pizza every week and always order here, is the best you can find. The options are all great. I recommend the Chicken Cordon Blue, Veggies Pizza.

As close to NY pizza as you can find. Nice people. Owner, smile more, you are good looking! LOL

Everything on the menu is very good. Staff is friendly but the place can get a bit crazy because of the popularity.

I'm glad Yelp led me to this place. I was working in the area and while we were driving to the site, it didn't seem like there were too many options in the area. I stepped into this place and it was pretty busy. I guess a lot of the locals come here...and for good reason. Tosco's is one of those pizza shops that serve all kinds of neat pizzas. They had your standard plain cheese as well as buffalo chicken pizza, and I think I might have seen a dessert pizza too. I got a slice of the bruschetta pizza and a slice of the taco pizza. They both just looked too tempting to pass up. Both of them had great flavor, nothing too overwhelming. When you start putting unusual ingredients on a pizza, sometimes it just goes too far and doesn't work....but not here. The crust was cooked well. Had a nice, crispy, fairly thin bottom as well as thin crisp ends. I've definitely bookmarked this place for the next time I'm in the area. It's a keeper!

Insane menu, monster pizza selection. Most food homemade. Love this place, but can get very crowded some nights, and when it is you will wait long even for simple orders. Avoid Friday nights if possible. Try the canolis!

Awesome awesome awesome! Pizza is spectacular -- period! The rest of the menu is well done and tastes excellent! And if you have been looking for that perfect Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak -- look no further! This is the best one in PA! Easy!

Great food...only issue I have is with their side salads...I mean..why do they bother...iceberg lettuce with a cucumber and olive on it...

Second time here and still very impressed. Very friendly, great quality, large portions, and the menu is vast. First time here we had Brooklyn style pizza. It's a thin crusted rectangular pizza with cheese on the bottom and sauce on top with fresh basil. The sauce was out of this world - Highly recommend this one! Needless to say, we'll be back!

Toscos should be the poster child for other pizza/hoagie shops on how to do business. The workers are firiendly, they have a huge menu, the prices are very reasonable, the pizza is fantastic, the cheese steaks, hoagies and individual food platters are massive. Everything I've ever had from here has been delicious. The workers behind the counter are always hustling like crazy taking orders and making food. We came here for dinner last weekend and I ordered the eggplant parmesan. It only cost like $10 bucks and came with a large side salad along with a 6" fresh roll and butter. The eggplant parm platter itself was so huge that after the salad I could only eat half of it and took the rest of it and my untouched roll home. Be warned that placing a take-out order at dinnertime rush may take 45 minutes to an hour or even more because this place gets very busy from 5 to 7. There's good reason why this place is always so crowded. People know a great thing when they find it.

Stopped here after searching on Yelp.....great find. Ate outside on the patio and loved the cheesesteak wrap and cod sandwich. Will be back again.

I have been to Tosco's several times now and the food and service are generally very good. The pizza, salads, fries and cheesesteaks are all good. One time we had a situation where the grilled chicken on one of the sandwiches was heavily marinated, really tasted odd and took over the whole sandwich. The bathroom situation leaves much to be desired too since it's fairly large restaurant to have single person bathrooms. Additionally, one of the two bathrooms seemed to be closed for repairs two of the times we went, which made the situation worse. Better than average and worth trying out!

I've been to Toscos a million times and they're great. The pizza is my favorite for sure - but I've also had salads, wraps, pasta, etc. and they're just as good. Definitely stop by if you're in the area!

Awesome! I have Never had a bad meal in the 10+ years I have been going here. We do everything from the special fries, cheese steaks to dinners etc. Everything is good, odds are if you don't like it.......your taste buds went bad....LOL. Keep it up guys and gals, your loved by Pennsburg and the local area.

Easy online ordering. Food was good. We had a cheesesteak with fried onions, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, and a pizza steak. One thing I didn't like was that the cheese steak automatically comes with sauce. It doesn't mention this on the menu so I didn't know to order it without sauce.

Came here with the in laws for dinner. There was 9 of us. This is a mom and pop place. The In-laws knew the owners so who was running the place. I went with the ravioli. It was great. I had half spinach and half meat. I enjoyed the spinach the most. The sauce was rich and flavorful. The salad that came with it wasn't half bad either. My favorite part of the meal were the garlic knots. They were hot garlic buttery pieces of heaven in my mouth. I would come back just for them. I felt service was a bit lacking. Drinks sat empty for quite some time and food did take a while to come out but we were a large group. I hope to come back in the future to try more. My father in law had a sandwich that looked really good.

Do NOT like the new sliced sausage go back to old style. There is enough pizza choices to make sure your product is good. Be the best not the meh..

We used Toscos for catering for a party. We picked up the food. We got pulled pork, chicken Caesar salad, and garlic knots. It was all very good. The pulled pork was excellent, which surprised me since it's a pizza place. The serving sizes of these catering-prepared items were very generous, especially the pulled pork. We would definitely order from them again.

Their employees must write reviews here- TERRIBLE PIZZA SAUCE - Had a large plain cheese pizza. .one of the worst I've ever eaten, almost made me sick, very watery sauce, absolutely terrible, tasted like dishwater, will avoid this place from now on, can't afford to get sick and their pizza is really really terrible..such a disappointment.

YUM! Just YUM! I make sure every time I am in town visiting to stop by. The Parma Rosa sauce is a must on anything! Good garlic knots, shrimp parm, baked ziti, garlic bread with cheese etc. Super large portions so plenty for a full 2 meals.

Good gourmet slices but doesn't translate to good take out pies. I think a good plain pizza says a lot about the pizza joint and this just was mediocre

I was staying in East Greenville on business and had a craving for some Italian food. Mike from the Globe Inn B&B where I was staying said this is the best place in the area for pizza and Italian food. He was right about it being excellent. They have a large display area up front and you can take your pick for carryout. The young lady that was working the area could not have been nicer nor more helpful explaining the various pizzas on display. The pizza and garlic knots were fantastic. Food was so good I went back the next day for a sandwich that I noticed on the menu when I was picking up my pizza. It's a hamburger panini which consisted of two char-broiled beef patties lettuce tomato mayo and pickles. It was great but so big I ate half on the airplane going home. There are daily lunch and dinner specials so make sure to check them out as well. I highly recommend for great food and friendly staff. One last thing I was here at around 4:00 both nights and the place was jumping so I suggest getting there as early as possible.

It replaced the Wedgewood Pub. Yes, it is (guess what?) Italian!! Went there for the second time yesterday and found that they continue to be customer friendly, very clean and provide a good dining experience. They bar has two tellies, but at least they are 29 inch screens and the volume is not blastingly loud. My wife had a great chicken parm, the remainder of which had to be taken home since the portion was huge. Her linguine was perfect, although it was not completely drained and watered down what would have otherwise been very good gravy. The chicken was not thickly battered and that made it even more special. The salad was very fresh and her veggies were garlic flavored and al dente. My three mini burgers were hand made and done exactly to order. The fries were hand cut and could not have been better. There aren't too many beers on tap, but it is not a brew pub, or anything! I had a Sly Fox pale ale. They have quite a few bottled beers and wines, as well. It is not exactly close to where we live, but if you are in Red Hill, Pennsburg, or another nearby town, you might find that it is a great place to hang out. If you are passing through, on RT 29, then you ought to try it. You will be treated great the first time you show up!

  • Alyson M.

Excellent! Some of the best pizza I've ever had, great cheesesteaks and pastas. We usually order take-out... the one complaint I have about this place is that they will always say "20-25 minutes" for a pick-up, but it's usually longer (especially on weekends). Oh, and if they delivered I'd give them 10 stars! Pretty much everyone on staff is friendly, especially the owners' older sons. You can tell it's a really nice family business and probably a nice place to work (when they're not frantically running around taking orders and passing out food!) Well-priced, huge portions, nothing to add beyond what other reviewers have said except you should definitely eat here. They recently expanded their seating area and also have a nice pub-type of restaurant next door if you want more beer options and some other food choices (less "Italian").

  • Kiddo S.

Tosco's Pizza has good food and you get large portions, but the service still is very slow. The waitresses always seem to be hanging out or chatting with someone they know while everyone else sits and waits. This is very frustrating and this is the main reason why I do not go often. The place isn't set up well either. It's a great place for take-out.

I love this place. Honestly, I think I like pizza here than most other pizza places I've eaten in Southeast PA. Even when I venture into Philadelphia or other areas with higher concentrations of pizza restaurants, I'm not quite sure if anything measures up to Tosco's pizza. I'm not even a huge pizza person, and I love Tosco's pizza. Maybe it's the atmosphere. I'm not sure. I highly recommend the red vegetarian. I always get it. So yummy.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
