Went there last week with my family and met up with friends of ours, we were seated right away. The wait staff kept our drinks filled and made sure all our needs were met promptly. Enjoyed the pizza. Would go back again.

Went to Rocco and Anna's with two friends. Noted that the specials board did not list any prices. That usually means the pricing is not good as was evidenced when we had to ask for the pricing after inquiring about one of the specials. BUT, the worst came when the chicken cheese steaks arrived and I discovered not one, not two but three chicken bones in my sandwich. When I told the waitress at the end of our meal, she said she would tell Anna, who was apparently the manager that night. We waited for Anna to come out and at least apologize, which the waitress also failed to do. I guess they are used to serving bones in their chicken cheese steaks, which were pretty tasteless. Anna never showed. Dining partner who ordered pasta got no rolls as promised on the menu. Had to go ask, then wait and wait for them to arrive. Waitress never asked if everything was alright. Guess she knew the answer without asking. You also can not get a cup of soup except for takeout. It's a bowl or nothing. Prices on entrees seemed high, especially when you are sitting at a table with paper placemats and paper napkins. They go to great lengths to put up signs demanding proper attire and no hats. Hey, this is Parksburg, not Park Avenue. Will be a long time, if ever, that we go back.

Visiting from SC, I was disappointed with this eatery. There was a large note on the front door "No Credit Cards Accepted" and then after entering, my mother and I were totally ignored and the place was empty. So we left and went to Harry's theatticloungeatharrys.c… in Sadsburyville and had a wonderful dining experience.

Was hoping for some authentic Italian food from this family restaurant but quite disappointing. I ordered the Veal Marsala - bland, overcooked and swimming in butter. My fiance's chicken parm was an over breaded chicken patty. I'm thinking my flat piece of veal was also processed, not fresh. The salad and rolls were okay, nothing special. Just where oh where can I find decent Italian food in or near Lancaster County?

We go here almost every other week. They have great pasta and pizza. I love their spaghetti and lasagna along with a salmon pasta dish in a spicy tomato sauce... the name is escaping me at the moment. All the pasta comes with rolls and a side salad. They also give everyone a little starter such as a piece of bruschetta or garlic roll before your meal also. My dad and brother always get a large pizza to split and my mom usually gets stuffed shells or the spaghetti. The owners usually say hello to us and the waitresses are almost always on their toes. Would recommend this place to anyone.

WONDERFUL homemade italian food. The service is always excellent. I thought it was a BYOB and it has a full bar, so I couldnt open my wine. The house wine wasnt all that great, but the food and waitress were great. I have been there now about 4 x's and had the same experience. The dining area itself is not very big, and if you go on a weekend evening you may have to wait a bit. Parking is sort of in a weird spot behind the building and you have to walk up this akward set of steps to get to the front. Worth it though!!!

Service is impeccable. Food was remarkable. Get there and enjoy. Wine selection quite good. Menu is comprehensive. Had the veal. Molte bene!! Went back. Spur of the monent- had an incredible rigatoni alla frutta di mare. Wow! Sauce was so special. Salad was just right with house dressing. Meanwhile. Staff was wiping down the menus, the chairs etc. eating in a clean restaurant is a very good thing. Wife had a great pizza- again the crust was perfect. Very neopolitano! Nice wine choices compliment the food very well. Valpolicello and merlot- very cool. Plus- draft blue label PERONI. Peroni is a clean taste and great. Cant wait to return!

I was here for my sister's birthday a while back and Scott was our server. He was very friendly and the atmosphere was nice for a family gathering. The food was absolutely delicious and I frequent the take out side so I will have to leave a review for there as well! Authentic Italian at its best!

The restaurant isn't bad - it's just not as impressive as it could be. I've never had a bad meal there, but (at least when I've gone) there never seems to be very many people and those who are there are on the older side. I'd say if you want to good food minus the somewhat awkward barren atmosphere, order to-go. I'd give this place a much higher rating if my dine-in experiences were the way they were, but that being said I've never had food I didn't like from there and the staff have always been great.

Well, I'm glad we ate here before I read the reviews! We came here for lunch and we were really happy with the food, atmosphere and service. We had a really delicous filling lunch for 22 bucks. We each had the shrimp and lobster bisque...it was tasty and reasonably priced at 2.00 a cup. Now, for me, a cheesesteak is an indulgence that happens about once a year. For that reason, I usually have high expectations. I was not disappointed! The roll was fresh...firm, not spongy. The steak was hot, fresh, and cooked correctly..not burned. I asked for American cheese, plus extra cheese, and that's what I got. I confess that I only ate half of my sandwich at the table...I was full. But on my way home I ate the rest!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
