For all the people that give it 3 stars or less that is not good. I go in to the penn once a week. I always get a cheeseburger. Very good food. The people in there are nice also. They have good food and good people. For 5 people the price can be in the $30 to $45. But the food is SO SO GOOD. If I had $100 I would get 5 cheeseburger, 4 orders of fries and 3 cokes. AGAIN THE FOOD IS THE BEST HERE. If you want a good lunch go here.

This is one of my favorite small town breakast joints. I've never been here for lunch. Their breakfast is quick, cheap and good! What more can you ask for? The decors a little dated and I'm more of a soft scrambled egg kind of gal. It's still great for the price. Just don't go during peak hours, usual 9:30-11 on weekends.

I've been to a lot of breakfast diners and the Penn is by far the best in the area. Food's great , the service is the fastest and they put a pot of coffee on each table. Quite often there's a line out the door but believe me this place is well worth the wait!!!

My niece's french toast was also raw. And today they closed before 1:30--maybe it was never open? Well, at least there's a pretty cheap diner in the vicinity. Too bad it's a crap shoot in the way of hours and food.

Ordered short stack French toast; it was raw inside. Bacon was good. Home fries had no taste. Egg over medium was fine. Scrapple was not good. Waitress forgot my order of bacon and did not ask if I wanted anything in addition to my coffee. Every time I tried to ask her for oj, she was running away from the table after dropping something off (toast late, bacon late) $17.00 - will NOT return.

The Penn is my favorite weekend breakfast place. It's absolutely no frills but everything they serve is fantastic. The service is beyond fast and the food is great. We go here every weekend.

Great place for breakfast and lunch; closes at 2 pm. When my son was in High School we would go for breakfast every Sunday for all 4 years. Waitresses are friendly and the atmosphere is like family; you get to know the regulars. Great scrambled egg, bacon, and cheese bagel sandwhiches.

Ellis Coffee is only served at diners. Either you crave it (me) or despise it (my wife). They bring a big plastic pot of it and plop it on the table in front of you. They take your order within fourteen seconds of walking in the door (me like that too). They call you "hon". They talk about the weather. You smile in a haze as you order the egg white omelette with scrapple and english toast. Seventeen seconds later (okay, maybe five minutes later) your food is at your table. Will the food blow you away? No. Will the decor remind you of a Steven Starr establishment? No. Will you fill your belly with warmth and leave fifteen minutes later (or two hours...no one rushes you here) all happy? Probably. Just don't order the clams casino (not-so-obscure Seinfeld reference).
