This is a wonderful place for a low key, but excellent lunch or dinner. Good food, and excellent beer selection and a great staff. The wings are excellent. You must try the portobello fries. An amazing concept and an amazing snack. Our waiter, Ty, made our dinner a fun experience. If we make the 6 hour drive from eastern Jersey, we will return to the Falls City Pub.

Great place for a quick bite. Good beer selection, Mostly IPAs but good can and draft options. Not just Bud Lite and domestics. Wide variety of things on the menu, quick eats, nothing fancy. I had the black bean wrap and it was good.

Don't expect to get served here if it crowded. They are not set up for it. The line for the bar is long and the bartender will serve people he knows first. Same for food. I ordered food at the bar and watched as everyone around me got their orders (which were placed after me) first. It was obvious he knew all of them by the way they were talking. When I said something for the third time about the hour wait for my food, I did so in a very angry way, and my food magically appeared from the back- cold and hardened by the time it sat there. I guess they can get away with it because it is one of the only places in town. This place has been around for awhile so I don't know why management doesn't run a tighter ship and set up for the crowds they get.

This was a bar and restaurant sent from heaven. There are lots of vegetarian options here - sophisticated salads, pesto primavera (with tons of veggies), black bean burgers, etc. You can add tofu as a topping! I had the one of the best, and biggest, side salads in memory here. It was full of dark green lettuce and topped with cheese, black beans, red peppers and more. Warning: portions are big here, which is great if you're hungry (after some rafting or hiking, perhaps) but is a cause to moderate your order accordingly if you're not. Our waitress was very friendly. I liked the relaxed atmosphere. They allow dogs on the patio. There are micro brews for the beer lover. Best of all, they are open year round. We are stuffed but happy after our trip here.

One of the only places in town to serve beer. I ordered a pasta dish, which was really good. However, it took over an hour for our food to come out of the kitchen. Service was agonizingly slow, but the good food made up for it.

5 stars is not always what your looking for... This pub is the real deal. If you like water, hearing a train and the whistle blow, don't mind an occasionally dog wandering in and a pool table that is level only when your drunk, this pub is for you. Located in Ohiopyle, just off of the Great Allegheny Passage bike trail that will one day connect Washington, DC and Pittsburgh, PA. ( Yes, I am inclined to try it!). The service at Falls City is adequate, the food is above average (especially when you are, a) drunk, b) wet, cold & hungry, c) craving wings.)

I have eaten at this place on seven occasions. Tables are usually dirty because no one seems to realize they need cleaned until you tell them. You may have to clean your own table (spray bottle is on shelf). Good selection of beer but expect to pay 3 to 5 for a good draft. Decent pub style food. Slow service. Waitresses seem to be running constantly, they just didn't stop at my table often. Good music on weekends.

We stopped in here Friday night just to ask for directions to the nearest gas station (none in Ohiopyle by the way). We immediately noticed the live music and fun vibe. The place was packed and seemed to be filled with both tourists and locals. We made a note to come back the next day. Fast forward to Saturday, the only ting we wanted after tackling 9 miles of white water was: BEER. So off to Falls City Pub we went. It wasn't as busy right around 5 and we found two seats at the bar. The beer was cold and the service was friendly. We ended up getting the loaded fries and Cajun ranch wings. This was probably some of the best bar food I have had in a long time. Delicious and what you want after a day rafting. I would definitely go out of my way to come back here next time I'm in Ohiopyle.

We've been waiting 40 minutes to get food at this point. The wait staff person has been out twice and each time apologized saying she has not forgotten us. The food is finally here after 45 minutes. But out wait staff person forgot the meal for on of our party of five. Two minutes later she brought the potato skins. At least the food looks good. Better be happy to drink, because the food service is very slow. The food was good, but so much that it was worth the long wait. We just went in to ask for the bill, and the wait staff person asked "who was your wait staff?" It was her.

They've got excellent food and a large selection of craft beers. There is seating outdoors if you're there on a nice day and they usually have music on weekends. My wife and I like driving up here for a change of pace; just be careful because they can get quite busy!

Great selection of beers & fantastic service. The portobello fries are amazing. A real no frills place that's worth checking out.

Don't let the outside...or the inside confuse you. This is a solid pub with a really interesting menu. We happened to be there right as a huge group of bikers had finished a trail ride so the, apparently, only server had his hands full with the tables and 3 deep at the bar. Great beer selection. It was so hard to decide on what to eat. Ended up getting the nachos to share between the four of us. Wow. Huge. Lots left over. Heavy on everything in a good way. They didn't skimp. It would've gotten a higher rating if the service had been quicker but again you can't fault one guy handling so many people. And it needs some sprucing up on the inside and out. I get there was probably some intentional-ness to the lack of decorating but it could've used something more.

The food is pretty good and they have a great beer selection. We waited more than an hour for our food, but they apologized. The tables could be a lot cleaner, but there is a lot to like about this friendly pub. In particular, the Edamame was an unexpected treat.

3.5 stars. We were there on a Thursday evening for dinner during the off-season. We had a nice evening. The service was friendly and a little slow. The food (burgers and sandwiches) was good. Some nice microbrew beers on tap (we had the Helltown). Plastic cups, no utensils, napkins piled on the table and slightly dirty- but what you are looking for in mountain dive bar. A lot of locals. Worth the stop for sure.

The place has a hometown feel. Owned by a rafting company along the Ohiopyle. Its a well rounded pub menu is basic with hints of healthy options not just fried foods. They have several tvs, a pool table and foosball. Service was initially slow. Once we got a waiter she had to wipe the table off and she wasn't even sure of the specials. I was skeptical of how this was going to go. Once we got water. Service was great. Informative of best sellers on menu, personal favorites and promptly checking on us. I was very pleased. I had the Marylander sandwich $10.50 consisted of grilled chicken, lump crab meat, bacon, pepper jack cheese, lettuce/tomato. My dad got the $11.50 steak hoagie and fries which was a solid portion of meat and veggies just not bread. Cheap glasses of wine for $3.50. This place is legit. If you're looking for a quick bite or some drinks before/after your outdoor fun check this place out.

A nice local pub to stop and eat. The waitress was great, but took a while to get us utensils. My portobello mushroom burrito with added grilled shrimp was delicious and stuffed! I especially liked how it was NOT stuffed with a rice filler, but with the shrimp, mushrooms, and sauteed peppers & onions. My friends in my group had other burritos & sandwiches. They were all very happy with their choices as well as the spicy mayo.

Great food, very casual atmosphere, friendly staff. Nothing fancy but all four of us thought our meals were good and a decent price.
