I have been trying to get here for a long time! This place is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. If you don't know the area, you'll miss it. If you aren't paying attention, you'll miss it. There is a sign outside, and the place looks like a dive on the outside and.... On the inside. But the waitress was attentive, the food was delicious and exactly what I needed. Level 2 heat was just the right amount for my pad Thai. My app were the spring rolls, which were delicious!!! The only downside was the Celine dion music blaring in my ears.... Now I must go watch titanic

Had the drunken noodles to go, pretty spicy, very flavorful, and large portions. What else could you want from a Thai place...

I recently ate here for the first time. It wasn't bad and it's pretty standard Thai food. The location seems like an old diner. There's a counter/stools you can eat at and the kitchen is right in front of the counter. As a matter of fact, I believe they actually serve diner-style breakfast in the morning. When you sit down, they bring you cucumber water without asking. I definitely appreciate that. The menu is standard and the prices are slightly cheaper than some Thai places I've been. I got a shrimp curry dish which was $11. Chicken dishes are about $9. The food was pretty good. I have no complaints. Food came out in a reasonable time and my drink was refilled when it was empty. I'd say this might not be where you take a date or go out for a "nice" dinner. But it's definitely good for take out, lunch, or a regular dinner.

After ordering here in the past I realized I needed to tell them to make the drunken noodles medium heat and it was PERFECTION - worth a try no doubt

DELICIOUS! Started with the Calamari appetizer, fresh and paired with a delicious sweet chili sauce. Be sure to mix it before you dip because there is a dollop of red curry or chili paste sitting on top that needs mixed in. Ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and it was good, however the heat/spice level was somewhat low for my taste, but that can be easily remedied next time I will request it to be amped up a little! The amount of food was good, I had enough for leftovers. We were served water upon sitting, and were not asked if we wanted anything else (I don't mind this, but others might). Everything is cooked fresh on the side - think open diner style kitchen, but Thai food. The owners are very nice and attentive. The wait time between ordering, receiving the appetizer and the entrée is well spaced and not super rushed. I truly hope this place makes it because it is definitely a wonderful little gem! Go and try it out!

I order pad Thai with chicken and some spring rolls for delivery. The man on the phone was extremely nice, as was the woman who brought my lunch. The spring rolls were crispy and perfect! The pad Thai had a lot of great flavor. The spring rolls were small, but you get three of them. My portion of pad Thai had to be split up into two meals.

Thai food for an American palate/newbies to Thai food (as in 'it's sweet"). Ordered my food to go - "spicy". The Tom Yum (shrimp) was pretty good, had 3 large-size shrimp and they were even de-veined, the spice level was right. That gets a 4/5 from me (mine homemade and One Third in Bethlehem are far superior on Tom Yum.) The green chicken curry is just meh, barely a 2/5 from me, more like a 1/5. The kick is there but they increased the sugar too, so it was hot sweet. It really had little stuff in it, a few pieces of chicken, few cuts of red bell pepper, bamboo shoots, and green beans. The curry "gravy" was runny. Would never order that again. If it weren't for the Tom Yum to give another entree a "second chance", I probably wouldn't return. Total bill $13.78.

A welcome addition to Northampton. All food was served quickly and prepared to our liking (spicy). Serving sizes were perfect for the prices charged. We will be returning. Thank you Thai on Main and good luck.

Udon Basil spiced up is fantastic. Try this place, great Thai food and a wonderful staff. You won't be disappointed!

Basic menu with very friendly staff. This is a small, intimate setting so you get to see your food being prepared. I had some questions and they were more than helpful. This is a downtown location, but parking was never a problem for me. They've recently started offering breakfast as well.

Being one who loves to try new foods, I stopped by Thai on Main. Honestly, I have no experience eating Thai foods, so I spoke with the owner (very friendly), and outlined my likes (spicy, noodles are fine, shrimp as a protein), and my dislikes (green peppers). After that conversation, the owner decided to make me a plate of "Drunken Noodles", which I had after I tried a few of the handmade dumplings that I saw when I walked into the restaurant. If I had only one word to describe the meal, I would choose "Excellent!". The taste of all the food was exciting, the heat was good, and the conversation with the owner was enlightening. If you have the chance, have a meal here, and taste something different besides the same old, same old. Don't forget to ask for some hot tea to go with your meal!

Friendly staff and owner. Price is reasonable and portion size goes well for the price. My favorite item is the pineapple fried. Everything is well put together.

In a town with ample options for pizza and little else Thai on Main is a delicious breath of fresh air. After hearing numerous recommendations from friends and neighbors I decided to take the plunge and I am so happy I did. I started out with the fresh summer roll, followed by an order of gyoza, and finally the chicken drunken noodle. Each choice was scrumptious. I will be dining there again soon.

We have enjoyed quite a few meals in restaurant, and ordered take out. Each time the food was delicious ,and spiced just as we ordered. They serve you comp jasmine tea. The owners are the sweetest people, and so happy to talk with you. Most recently, they have made us an amazing dessert"on the house". I'm so happy we have a Thai restaurant local.

I recently tried take-out lunch from Thai on Main. The food was very good. I started with the Tom Kha soup which was a delicious blend of coconut & galangal (a Thai ginger root) with chicken, mushrooms & onion. The Tom Kha was silky & well seasoned. The coconut flavor was sweet & nutty & the galangal balanced it out so it wasn't overly sweet. There was also a hint of cilantro that rounded out the soup. If you like the taste of fresh coconut, I recommend this soup. I also had the Udon Basil entree with pork. Excellent flavors of basil & Thai chili throughout. The udon noodles were cooked well, not mushy & with just the right bite to them. I requested a spice level of 2 (they go up to 5) to test the waters. It was a nice mild heat that didn't take over the dish. Next time I will try a 3. Additionally, the staff was very friendly when I went in to pick up my lunch, the prices are reasonable & I found out they offer free delivery. I am excited about having more options in Northampton. I definitely recommend Thai on Main & hope you give it a try & support local business.
