I'm trying to pick a new Chinese restaurant in Plymouth Meeting every time I get a craving until I've tried them all. Having said that, I think the search is over! This place is awesome, pickup in 10-15 minutes on a Saturday night and food was hot and hit the spot. Chicken and broccoli is hard to mess up but even harder to distinguish between Chinese places but this really was something special. Chicken was fully cooked and not slimy, broccoli was crisp and fresh and the brown sauce wasn't too thick and accentuated the flavors and didn't overwhelm it. Crab Rangoons seemed hand made and were filled and crunch but not burnt and my wife really enjoyed her General Tso's chicken. Love this place.

Fairly priced compared to some of the other Chinese food take out establishments in the area however food was so oily and lacking quality ingredients! The vegetable lo mein was scattered with onions, cabbage, a few snap peas, and a whole lot of oil! No bok choy, bean sprouts, or other authentic vegetables you typically see in vegetable lo mein. Very disappointed. We dabbled with it for a bit and ended up throwing it out. Crab Rangoon were folded in awkward shapes that scratched the roof of my mouth. They tasted stale. Finally we ordered general tsos chicken with vegetable fried rice. The rice was not fried, it was a hard and stale clump. The General tsos was just okay. We will not be ordering from here again.

Favorite go-to Chinese place. The food is always consistent and fresh. Their General Taos chicken is delicious and not too spicy. Egg rolls are always good and service has never disappointed. Best place in Norristown hands down.

I am not ashamed to five star this place. I am from Brooklyn and really missed the quality of great take out. This place has never disappointed me. House Special Chow Mein, Egg Rolls, Egg Drop Soup and Hot and Sour Soup all consistently delicious and hot when it gets home. Plus the Cashier/Order Person has always been polite and says "Thank You" Would I eat there? In an emergency. It is mainly for take out. Most of the tables are for people waiting for their orders. Call ahead....it''s easier.

Everything I have ever had from this place is great. The prices are very reasonable and you get good sized portions. Their General Tso's chicken, crab rangoons, and hot & sour soup are some of my favorites.

I will say this place has one of the best Chinese food in the area and gives generous portions. I ordered a small general Tao chicken and everything was pouring over the lid. However, I do recommend calling ahead because when you come in and order they take their good ol time. Also, the lady that takes the orders usually gives me am attitude every time I walk in.

The best Chinese food in the area. Most of the staple dishes are made very well and the food is very consistent. I love the fact that everything takes 10 minutes to make when you order over the phone. I usually judge a place by their egg roll and wonton soup. This place is delicious

Under siege by hunger? Super Wok is here to save the day, with quick, tasty, inexpensive meals. At a glance, Super Wok is like any other Chinese fast food take out joint. Upon closer examination, anyone can see that's not true. Kevin - our staffer, chef, and cashier - brought us spicy hot oil and all our orders in a flash. Their lunch specials are a steal and all priced cheap. (Cheap or not, credit cards are accepted.) Specials come with your choice of white or pork fried rice. Don't want take out? Stay to eat. We did, and I inhaled their (tender) beef and (well-seasoned) green beans for a mere $4.95. If you don't like stringbeans, get their General Tso's, and don't forget a bowl of hot and sour soup while you're at it.

Still rock solid. After dozens of visits, I don't have a single criticism. For the price, the food is right on.

The food is just ok. The fried rice is a little bland. I love their fried chicken wings though! When is comes to cheap Chinese food in the Norristown area, this is the place to go.

I would agree with my fellow reviewers that Super Wok is most definately the best Chinese take-out in the area. I would disagree, however, about it's overall quality. While it's certainly okay, I would argue that it's far from great Chinese food. The staff is very friendly and accomodating and the prices are good and cheap. The portions are also quite large. However, the food is really just okay... I would be hard pressed to call it anymore than that. I've had numerous dishes from Super Wok and they all taste pretty much the same. It's pretty standard quality fare from a Chinese take-out place with these kind of prices, although it is a cut above it's local competition. Again, don't get me wrong... the food isn't bad, far from it, but there are most definately better Chinese places. But they're not in Norristown, that's for sure, and you're going to pay higher prices. All in all, you definately get more than you pay for at Super Wok... but not much more. But if you're in Norristown and you want some Chinese, there is really no other legitimate option.

The best General Tso chicken is here at super wok! Consistently good, generous portions and their lunch combo is very reasonable. The only downside is there's not much in the way of ambiance if you want to eat there. I order their General Tso a few times a month, it's that good. Also my wife & I love their sesame chicken, and cashew chicken. Very nice people run the place. Egg rolls are yummy too. Enjoy!

My favorite Chinese restaurant by far. I have at least 6 other Chinese places that are closer but the extra time is worth it for their food. Eggplant with garlic sauce, Shrimp with garlic sauce and beef with string beans are favs. Friends love their spare ribs and general tso's too. I'm usually disappointed where I order schezwan chicken anywhere, but Super Wok's is the best I've found in a long time solid 4 out of 5 (I do skip the peppers though). You can see everything they're making and their staff is always busy but. Their teriyaki chicken looks great but haven't tried it yet. Chinese food is usually the same bland Americanized greasy food. But Super Wok has good flavor, tons of veggies and always seems fresh. If you're fans of Chinese but haven't found anything special, you should really give this place a try.

I am very pleased with their food. The portions are huge and my wife and I always split their special combo meal. Recently, I tried the teriyaki chicken and it is amazingly good.

Hands down the best quick, cheap, delicious Chinese take-out in the area...just no competition anywhere within miles. Small area to sit and eat, so not strictly take-out, but a quick phone call to Super Wok and soon you are eating just made dumplings, egg rolls, Orange Chicken, S&S Pork/Chicken, General Tso's...all of it amazingly good. Lunch time specials means you can get out of there with a huge combo for only $5.95 ('til 3:30!). Even the fried rice is moist, with fresh peas (no shriveled balls of green), scallians, carrots, onions...been searching for years for 'the take-out' place for Chinese - found it at Super Wok!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
