I gave them 4 stars because the place and the menu have potential to be a 5 stars if they were clean!!! Omg!! The tables are dirty , the salt and pepper shakers , the napping holder!!! And my butter knife had finger prints on it!!! The lady just grabbed them from the kitchen with her bared hands!! And place them on the table and then I saw a lot of finger prints on my fork and knife and It was just so disgusting just the thought that who knows what she was doing before she grabbed them!!! I hope they and if not I will tell them to clean the place! Even the windows were dusted and the windows were so gross! Seriously a restaurant should be spotless because it is where people go to eat!!! And nobody likes a felty place even when the food is really good. Anyways, the breakfast is very good and the prices are just right. :)

Updating my previous post to say Santangello's is still the best breakfast spot hands down! Everything they offer is amazing and they make you feel like one of the family. My family always goes but if we're out of town and go somewhere else we always say it's not Santangelo's! A hangover meal turned into a favorite low carb order. Cheesesteak omelette with spinach and American.

Cute place hidden from Ridge Pike. I didn't even know it existed till I was searching for a breakfast place on Yelp. It's a small, family run restaurant that has great staff and great food. I got a ham and cheese omelet with hash browns with peppers and onions and a side of scrapple and finished the entire meal! I should have taken half home but it was just to good! I love the quaintness of this place and the family feel you get as soon as you walk in the door. The staff was incredibly sweet and the prices were very reasonable. A great place to go for breakfast in Plymouth Meeting/Norristown.

I absolutely love this place!!! Their meatballs are out of this world and we always leave ridiculously stuffed! We have yet to have a bad meal here, and love the friendliness of everyone we encounter... Both staff and diners!! Keep up the awesome work and don't stop making those meatballs!!

This place is a little tough to spot from the road but it is worth the effort to find it. The place had the feel of a hidden spot known to locals and kept private for fear of being overrun by food tourists. Its in an industrial area of Main St. First thing I noticed about the menu was the presence of pork roll. Definitely a good sign for a place that serves breakfast all day. I ordered the kielbasa sandwich special. The waiter asked if I wanted peppers, onions, mustard, or anything else. I was happy he did. I probably would have only put mustard on it but the sweet and hot peppers definitely added to my enjoyment of the final product. It was a flavorful, spicy, hearty sandwich which surprisingly did not give me heartburn. It came with fries that were, from a size perspective, halfway between McD's fries and steak fries. There was none of that burger king, non-transfat coating which is awful. When cooked properly, these are the perfect fries IMO. This day, my fries were a tiny bit undercooked in parts but it didn't ruin my experience. My friend had a breakfast sandwich with pork roll egg and cheese and said it was "bangin". It looked good. The people were friendly and competent. As I mentioned before, I like that the waiter suggested toppings (whether it was his idea or not). I also liked that they had a few sandwich combos on the menu instead of telling me what they have and making me figure it out. If you've read some of my other reviews, you may know that I'm a big fan of the prefab combos. It was around $10 per person and we left full and happy. I'll definitely be back.

Belly buster omelette is a mans omelette. They have pretty good cheesesteaks as well. Awesome spot for a quick meal.

Not a review of the place, but just to let people know it's not at either of the addresses here. ????

Went here with co-workers for breakfast. Everything I ate was delish, French toast, Omelettes, Italian sausage. The breakfast potatoes were unexpectedly more whole than most places for breakfast, but still tasty. The quantity was great for what you pay for. Most of us had to get boxes. The staff was awesome too, patient and kind...We'll be back most definitely.

The place needs better street signage. It's hidden behind a huge industrial building. After driving by the 2nd time trying to find it, we found a small sign that pointed us to the back of the building. The food was pretty good. Huge portions. Both my boyfriend and I took home half of our plates that we enjoyed later. One thing I found strange was they didn't have cheddar cheese (yes, this is nitpicking, but I thought cheddar was a staple cheese). The only real complaint I have is how unattentive the staff was. It was a Sunday around noon that we went to go eat, with 1 other table (who was finishing up as we got there) in the place. Our waiter did the minimum. Never asked if we needed drink refills. When he gave us the bill, we wanted to split it on 2 cards, which we sat on the edge of the table for about 15 minutes (while all of the staff passed us multiple times without achknowledging us) until I got fed up and walked about 4 feet to the counter to just pay on my card out of pure frustration. During this 15 minute time frame, there was a point where all of the staff even left the building, leaving us and another customer there. So overall, yes the food was good, the portions were more than fulfilling, and it's a cheap eat, but I've had better service at a run of the mill diner.

My wife and I visited Santangelo's for breakfast. It was not too busy on a Wednesday around 8:30 AM, which was good. I heard this place gets crowded and the owner confirmed that the weekends were crazy. Let me start by saying the coffee here was outstanding - it was definitely not the usual diner or local restaurant type of coffee. It was a little bold and very smooth. I thought this was a good sign and I was right. I ordered pancakes that I ate for three meals. Each pancake was about 15 inches round and had a great texture and flavor. My wife had a cheesesteak omelet which was pretty much a cheesesteak hoagie on an omelet bun. I don't eat eggs, but my wife said it was great. We also had some home fries and I had sausage. It was all good. Service was great and we were made to feel as if we had been regular customers. Even other customers struck up conversations with us, which was nice. The waitress/owner was extremely pleasant and always kept our coffees filled. Overall, my new favorite local place! I will be back again and again.

Anytime that you see multiple police cars at a restaurant (not responding to a crime), it must be good. Cops seem to always know the best places to grab a bite. Santangelos did not disappoint. I ordered one of the specials which was a meatballs omlette. Meatballs, sauce, and provolone inside perfectly preapred 3-eggs. It was an absolute flavor party. Red bliss potato home fries and rye toast complimented the meal. We will definitely return.

I had their meatlovers breakfast sandwich and it was amazing. The one picture uploaded shows what it looks like. It was massive and full of all types of breakfast meats. Topped off with cheese it was the ultimate breakfast sandwich. I recommend it to everyone.

I wish they posted their hours cause we never know if they close @ 1 or 3. So when we pulled up at 2:30 3 heads (waitresses) were leering out the window at us while waiting forwalking towards the door. It felt kinda awkward so after checking the hours on the door we rolled out &went to crackie. Don't get me wrong. I love santangelo's but just didn't feel welcome the other day.

Nice new location. The waitresses are friendly and make sure you're happy. Only downside is that they are a little heavy-handed with salt sometimes. Nothing too fancy...just good, inexpensive grub.

I really like this place. For what it is - a casual breakfast and lunch spot - it's top notch, so it gets 5 stars from me. I work nearby so a lot of times someone else has picked up my food, but I really should go there myself more often. Everyone who works there is exceptionally nice and your food comes out quickly. Excellent roast pork, great breakfasts. If you go once I guarantee you'll go back.

Friendly people. Always nice to know that your money is going to small business vs. large corp. food was excellent. Had eggs and pork roll for breakfast. Potatoes with peppers and onions were good. The coffee was excellent.

This diner style place is amazingly special. I was staying in KOP but decided to try this spot in Norristown - so glad I did. * Very friendly and personable owners and staff * Food cooked and served while warm and just the way you like it (thanks for the kielbasa Jane's way) * Very reasonable prices so I tried everything ( fresh waffle with bananas, bacon, Ranchos Huevos potatoes, and eggs. Thanks for the waffle with ice cream suggestion. Maybe next time as I was stuffed. Thank you for the service! I will return. It's well worth the drive. -TK from MD

Omg.. This place is hidden and easy to miss even you go there with direction. It is rear part of the building with same street number 910. Their sign is there but almost invisible since it got aged pretty long. I tried to order belly buster omelette without knowing what is inside. The staff explained it before head. And it turned out the great omelette I ever had in years! The portion is definitely huge so beware if you are not going to eat heavily in the morning. Thought it would be greasy since it has bacon, steak, sausage and cheese inside. But the proportion between cheese and egg were perfect and sweet peppers kept me eating without finding some kind of hot sauce. The food wasn't salty at all which is preferred by me. The meats themselves are seasoned and salty that are normal to meats. Overall the ingredients were perfectly matched to cover salty and greasy taste. And home fries were cooked well and enjoyed them as well. One downside was coffee. It was not strong enough and could be better if manage its strength. I will definitely visit them again. Oh. Almost forgot to mention the friendliness of the staffs. Already love this place.

Small little gem in Norristown that we did not know about until we looked up Yelp. This definitely looks like a family run establishment which is great because I love supporting locals businesses and the families that live and work here. Very welcoming and inviting atmosphere. The kitchen was open and we were told we could order anything on the menu and if there was something we wanted but didn't see that they would make that too. We ordered omelets and split Nutella french toast with fruit on it. Everything was great and portions were huge. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for something local!

Had a late Saturday brunch here last weekend while visiting with family. The reason this is 4 stars instead of 5 is solely based on speed of service. I will tell you that I will be back here if I'm in the area, the food was out of this world! My sweetie had the banana split waffle... Wow. There was even ice cream under the whip cream. I shared the breakfast burrito and the apple French toast with my daughter. Both were very good. If you are someone in a hurry, do not eat here. This is a small family run place. They do a great job on the food. But it takes a long time from seating to eating. It just is what it is. I think the quality of food is worth it. Oh, and they have scrapple too

***** This place has the wrong address**** It should be 910 E. Main St. Norristown, PA 19401. I bet they did it on purpose though to not have the stigma of my hometown. Pa' lante con la comida. It was very good stuff. Portions are very nice. Flavoring is on point. It's the perfect place for skinny minnies and full bodied woman alike. This place is like a mix of Alfredo's and Lou's minus the zeps. It can do pancakes, but it can do some mean sandwiches just as well. Come check out this NORRISTOWN establishment.

Love it, small place, great service. Scrambled eggs, bacon and a short stack. Simple and delicious. if you're looking something a little special the Nutella stuffed french toast looks good.

Santangelos could easily be a three star place if they just spent more effort on service. The menu is decently sized with breakfast and lunch options. It is also, however, not decent with healthy options. Fortunately, I usually come here for Sunday brunch, and really brunch is for a little indulgence. Not a spinach egg white omelet. I've been a few times and had a chicken salad hoagie, a BBQ chicken cheesesteak and a kielbasa sandwich on kaiser. The hoagie was fine, similar to most delis. The kielbasa was pretty good, easily my favorite. The cheesesteak was the biggest hot mess I've ever seen. Chicken was cut in huge chunks and the onions were cut even larger and was also in much larger quantity than the chicken. There was waay too much BBQ sauce and not a lot of cheese to hold it together. The bread was nice but soo soft. So as soon as I picked it up, half fell out and the rest fell out when I attempted to take my first bite. The taste was not the problem and I will admit the chicken was cooked well. But who wants to get BBQ sauce all over their hands, face and most importantly my outfit! It was too ridiculous for me, and I couldn't even eat it. And I never leave food behind! Like I said at the top, the cafe could easily be three stars. The food is often just fine. the prices are reasonable for the portions, if a dollar or so too high considering you're not paying for any kind of atmosphere or service. for example, a sandwich and fries could easily cost you about 10. But it's about the service. Not one time that I've gone has anyone ever checked back on us after delivering the food. it's not that difficult to pop back in at least once to see if there's anything we need. The servers are mostly guys, and they are definitely not rude or unpleasant at all. It's just that they're order takers, not servers. Which is fine for takeout, but not for sit down breakfast and lunch. And to me, that's the difference between stars.

Spinach, onion, and Swiss cheese omelet was delicious, and the home fries were perfectly cooked. Service was friendly. Will definitely return.

This is a nice cozy little place that we decided to go to for breakfast because they had great reviews on here. There is little seating available downstairs so we had to go upstairs to be seated. The waitress took our order right away and brought the food very quickly, but then we never saw her again. My food was good, I'd only gotten a bagel and toast. My boyfriend got the pancakes, eggs, homefries, bacon (it's called the hungry something) and he enjoyed his food except the over easy eggs were a bit messed up. We feel like we would have gotten better service if we'd been seated downstairs and that maybe we'd been forgotten since we were seated upstairs. Another issue with the upstairs is that the sound reflects off the walls so much, we could barely talk with how loud the room was and we were sitting right next to each other- and there were only four other guests seated upstairs. After getting our check from the waiter serving the other table, we left and gave the waitress the tip she deserved, which wasn't good, and they didn't even apologize. The downstairs was empty when we left so we don't know why our service was so terrible, and we still didn't see our waitress on the way out so she must have left and not passed the table on or told anyone.

Every single thing on the table was delicious and fabulous (including the coffee)!! We had party of 9 for breakfast. Meatball omelet, funnel cake French toast, huge pancakes with various add ins, the side potatoes, chipped beef and more. Really great food. Hard to find but worth the effort. Tiny sign at road and restaurant is around the back of an industrial building. Small and very clean. Friendly service. Not quick but absolutely awesome and worth the wait.

Look, I rarely harp on friendliness or service in my reviews. Most of my Yelping is focused on food only and I tend to ignore both the good and bad elements of employee attitudes when writing. I suppose I'll make an exception here. The two dudes working here when I went were so nice that it actually made me think about donating to charity (I didn't, but whatever. Let's not harp on details). They invited me in and started cooking my food BEFORE THE RESTAURANT WAS ACTUALLY OPEN. Who does that? I was perfectly content with waiting outside looking at my cell phone but noooooo I guess they decided my time would be better spent sitting down and eating breakfast like an adult. They were really attentive and offered to cook me anything I could think of. They did this in a legitimately concerned way and not in a way that seemed borne of some corporate policy. I'd tell you what I got but it shouldn't matter. I hate breakfast, as a meal and a concept (call me crazy but I'm just not big on eggs and the fact that the addition of them to anything suddenly makes it "breakfast," yet I digress). I'm a terrible judge of breakfast but a good judge of character. The character here is great. I wrote this review in the restaurant and I'm posting from my car on the way out.

Had the belly buster omelette for breakfast and it was great. Only ate half but loved every bite. That thing could be an eating challenge. Service was very friendly and fast. Tight fit downstairs but no problem. Take out available.

This place is nestled behind a brick building on main street in norristown. You would have to enter through the back. My second time here but first time having breakfast. The staff is attentive, responsive and personable. They work very and communicate well together. I felt like a "regular" as soon as I sat down. Breakfast was Delish! The Lady of the House was just that...A Lady. I almost felt like her company at her house. I will be back! They have additional seating upstairs that can accommodate up to 30 people. CHECK IT OUT!

We have breakfast here quite frequently. The portions are huge and the food is good. I'm often not hungry again until dinner. It feels very homey- they always seem genuinely glad to have you there. As a result, staff are friendly and attentive. The prices are more than reasonable. I really need to try it for lunch, though.

Every once in a while, you come upon a restaurant with food that is so good, and is owned by people that are so nice, that you want share it with everyone. Santangelo's is that place. I have been dining here for several years now and have always enjoyed, or should I say raved about the food. The best description of their menu would have to be "Italian Inspired and Regionally Appropriate." Owners Mike Santangelo and his lovely wife (whose name I can't remember right now) started the business a couple of blocks away from their current address. The old place was small, holding maybe fifteen people, and was always packed. Their new location is behind an office building on Main Street in Norristown. It has a beautiful open kitchen, a second level, and alfresco dining. The menu is unique, and the specials board is truly one of a kind. I highly recommend the Italian omelette and the Meat Lovers breakfast zep/hoagie for breakfast. For lunch try the roast pork with provolone and rabe. And don't forget to order roasted long hot peppers.....On everything! Breakfast and lunch, seven days a week. Check out their complete menu at santangeloscafe.webs.com
