Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Stopped in based on the reviews, and I was not disappointed. When I walked in the door, I was promptly greeted by a friendly hostess, shown to a table, given a menu, and asked if I wanted a beverage. My fountain soda ginger ale arrived very quickly to the table. I ordered fried dumplings as an appetizer--the serving was huge, definitely enough for an entire table to share. They were toasty and golden on the outside, and the vegetarian fillings were good. I ate a few and set them aside to save room for my entree, the spicy marinated pork with vegetables and rice. The server brought out a small plate with pickled chayote as a side for the spicy pork. It turns out the owner makes these herself, in-house. It was delicious--crunchy, acidic, very slightly sweet. As for the pork itself--the portion was massive. This dish only costs $8.99, and yet there is easily enough food for three people. I asked for my food spicy, so what I got was a large platter piled high with decadently marbled slivers of tender pork, thoroughly marinated in an earthy, fiery red sauce. Slices of fresh onion cooked so as not to lose a bit of crunch, and strips of bell pepper complemented the dish. It was fantastic, and I loved that there was enough of it there to have a filling lunch and still pack away leftovers to take home. The owner visited the dining room and she is very warm and welcoming. She takes pride in her food, as well she should, because it is delicious!

Do as everyone else says, get the fish tacos and spicy pork. Mandoo (Korean fried dumpling) is just okay (it is not as meaty as I've had). I've had better bulgogi elsewhere. Speaking w the owner/chef and from the taste, everything is freshly prepared and homemade, even the tamarind drink (not too sweet and not too sour). If u want bi bim bop, u have to special order it a day in advance. She also does tamales on Sunday's if ur into that. If ur planning on going for dinner, call ahead for actual closing times.

We decided to come here before shopping at the KOP mall. Daughter ordered the Korean Ramen with Egg and Scallions with Jalapeños. She thought it was good and liked it. Hubs ordered the Tilapia Tacos and liked it a lot. I ordered the Bulgoki with rice and liked it a lot. Service was pretty friendly. The owner came out and asked us if we liked our meal. Will definitely return when in the area!

I went back to try and get more Korean food, and I was told by staff that I should try the fish tacos. So I did. Sweet baby Jesus they make a good fish taco. I've had fish tacos in Mexico that weren't this good. They're a little pricey, I think they were about $9 but I'll be damned if they aren't killer fish tacos. I guess it's a little strange to get good Korean food and fish tacos from the same place, but hey, think of it this way: You and your lady/guy want to go out to eat, she/he wants tacos but you want Korean. Well, you're in luck friend, because here you can get both, and it's daggone good.

The staff was friendly and the food was very good despite being very quiet. We ordered the stuffed jalapeños. They were the tastiest ones I've had. The tortilla soup and fish tacos were great as well.

Casa Bonita is a Korean / Mexican restaurant in Norristown (I would have expected something like this in California, so Norristown is in for a treat). Fish tacos are awesome here. They also have a wide selection of tacos, burritos, tostadas, enchiladas, etc. Korean wings were very good. Also check out the bibimbap and bulgogi. Big parking lot out front so easy to find parking.

Fresh ingredients and an excellent cook make for one of the tastiest fish tacos I've had! The tilapia is nice and moist, and the cabbage and pico de gallo is crunchy and refreshing. The jaeyook bboggeum is amazing as well! While being true to Korean fare, it bears the same freshness and quality that runs throughout the entire menu selection. The staff is very kind as well! The owner came out and thanked us for coming to her restaurant by giving us free flan! Noms. She is also very kind to her regulars, knowing them on a first name basis and even remembering their "usual." I would recommend this spot to anyone who likes casual dining that is deliciously served by a friendly staff.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. The staff is incredibly friendly and sincere. The fish tacos, chilaquiles, and jae yook are to die for! Not to mention, the price is extremely affordable. I'd recommend this restaurant to all!

I would repeat what's said below about the Fish Tacos and Jeyuk (pork dish), they are something to write home about!! Another Korean dish to try here is bibimbap - (rice/vegetables/fried egg/meat). I'm new to Korean food but it's blowing my mind right now. Owner is sweet, waitress (Anelis?) is great, solid food.

I'd typically avoid any place that specializes in Mexican, Korean AND burgers, but a hungry friend was done looking for a place and bullied me into eating at Casa Bonita. OH MY GOODNESS. What a surprise. The staff was passionate and knowledgeable about the food. They offered great recommendations and they were excited to hear what we thought about the food. My friend and I were treated like celebrities. I can't say enough about how much I LOVED this experience. It was one of the best restaurant experiences I've had in a long time.

This place puts the A in both awesome and amazing. The fish tacos which are apparently the #1 fish taco in all of America according to their sign are very good. Today not only did I have a great lunch but, I also got a free Casa Bonita calendar proudly hanging on my cubical wall! Based on the price (less than double digits for most things), quality (great), and quantity (The burrito is huge!) scale it is a tasty deal and as an added bonus the lady running the joint is super nice.

Big name, Attractive store front leads to encapsulated ghost town wreaking of desperation. Last year, upon entry I thought that I was in the wrong place, so I went back outside to look for the door to the "casa bonita". It was the right place but something about an empty Mexican restaurant with an Asian fried food aroma at lunchtime says run, so I left without even looking at the menu. I returned a few weeks later to once again an empty dining area but for one eating customer (i think Joey) telling me about the great fish tacos and how good the food is. I decided to get something to go, but after looking at the menu and not finding anything "vegetarianly" appealing I left with out ordering anything. Two months later, again same atmosphere -not a soul, so I'm thinking- drop them ten bucks for good luck and run, but I sat down this time and ordered a cheese enchilada. It was not good, but because the two ladies were so courteous I just had to hide my discontent, so I ate a quarter of it, tipped well (for the other 2 times I popped in and never ordered anything.), thanked them, and left. I don't know if I was hoping to find Eric Cartman or a Mariachi band in there, the place just attracted me, well my curiosity had been satisfied. I will not return. This place is sending mixed messages, with the name and the menu etc. Mexicans will not patronize a Mexican food joint ran by Asians, People looking for Asian food will not gravitate to a sign that saids "casa bonita".

This place is awesome! It offers something different from the other restaurants around town. First off it has a mixed menu offering American, Mexican and Korean. I know sounds odd but they make it work so well! I have had the Korean dumplings, French toast, salads and last but not least the #1 Fish Tacos!!!! Highly recommend them!

You might not expect a place specializing in cuisines as disparate as Mexican and Korean to successfully execute both, but Casa Bonita definitely does. The fish tacos are excellent, as is the Jae-Yook and chicken tinga. In my opinion the food is worth far above what they charge, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back.
