Friday found me traveling north through Pennsylvania up U.S. 15 North and then over to U.S. 30 East - on my way to King of Prussia. I stopped in New Oxford, PA for an upgrade to the caffeine levels in my bloodstream. I had seen this place last year on my way home from the same festival - but did not stop. The place is very quaint. homey, and countrified - in a very good way! New Oxford is small town America! I ordered a double shot Cappuccino - to drink there. The girl working the counter made my drink and served up in this cool ceramic mug (see the attached pix). The drink seemed like it was more in between a Cappuccino and a Latte - there was more liquid than there should have been for a Cappuccino. Having said that, even though it was not exactly what I had ordered, it was delicious! It had quite the head of foam on it as well. I plunked myself down at a table, cracked open my MacBook Pro, checked e-mail, and relaxed for a few minutes and enjoyed my beverage. I went back over to the counter to ask for a spoon - as I wanted to scoop out all of the espresso-tainted foam at the bottom and slurp it down! Cool place!

Lovely little cafe with some great food and beverage options. Supporting some local businesses as well with the products they sell. We stopped just in the cafe and had coffee/tea/chai and some bakery treats. We were very happy with the staff and the atmosphere.

Stopped in for donuts because of the advertising outsideas we were passing through. So rare to find a donyt shop. Not a donut shop. Do not get donuts. They are 1.47 apiece. They are tastless. They are small.

Nice friendly staff. The gourmet donuts are made fresh when ordered. There are plenty to pick from. The coffee is okay. The owner donates money to help the poor in Haiti, always a good thing!

I have been back to the New Oxford Cafe several times since my original post, and every time I have been pleased. My one main concern in my original post was clean tables, and they have been consistently cared for every time I have been back. It's hard to ask for more than clean tables combined with consistently great coffee, and wonderfully fresh donuts. The donuts may have been beaten out as my favorite though; I had an Egg Nog Scone around Christmas time that was perhaps the best pastry item I have had at any coffee shop, ever. That scone deserves an award.

Stopped in to grab something sweet while on a drive through the area. From the outside it looked charming and inviting but once inside we were a bit disappointed. While the coffee shop and bakery are co-located it almost looked like they were getting ready to close down operations. Lights were off in the bakery and the selection of items limited. Overall I was pretty underwhelmed with the taste and quality of the baked goods. My brother's chocolate cake tasted like it had been there quite a while. You know that stale, overly-solid taste and texture of a bad diner cake? Yeah, that was it. Lots of good reviews here and that was one of the reasons we stopped. Maybe we hit them on an off day or something but while the coffee was decent, I don't think I would stop back in just for that.

Great spot to stop for a coffee and a sweet. The raspberry lemon muffin hit the spot. Fresh, moist, and loaded with real whole raspberries.

This is smack dab in the middle of a sleepy little Pennsylvania town. There is seating inside and there are also tables outside on the sidewalk. They have a little showcase of sweets. The service was fast and the barista was pleasant. I ordered a medium hazelnut coffee. I don't know if t was just me and my preference for strong coffee, but it was a little weak for my tastes. It was $2.85 including tax.
